She blushed and looked down "No problem" she said walking away to get some food of her own.

"You know I'm right" she said with a laugh also. "Always right my love" she kissed him again as Mera handed them food. "Thank you Mera" she said taking a boll.

Mera sat and ate, she looked back at the man they called Doc. He was handsome, proper looking like he had been a man of the house and was ripped from the fire place's side. His hair was dark and long hanging over his face to hide his eyes. Beautiful eyes, brown and deep. She thought of the life he had before and the life he held now.

Doc finished his food fairly quickly... it reminded him of his home that he left behind, the family he didn't want to put through the pain of his change... if his wife could see him now... what would she say? Would she be afraid? Would she attack him? He couldn't deal with those thoughts. And Mera... the new beauty that blessed the pack with her presence. She looked so much like Maria...

Daniel sighed lightly. "I guess I can deal with that." he said finishing his food fairly quickly. "Hmm... Mera's a good cook..." he said with a small smile.

Lith ate the food. "Mmmm This is very good" she said with a smile. "Reminds everyone of home" she said looking up at the men's face, some sad, some smiled as tears rolled down their face. "Good work Mera, We will have to put you on cooking duty" she said.

Mera blushed seeing the faces of the men, how she had reminded them of home. "Thank you Lith, but it's nothing, just a few herbs" she said modestly looking up to see Doc's reaction and looking back down before he could see her looking at him.

Doc was unable to see her glancing at him, but the look on his face said it all... he was staring down at the bowl... now empty... it reminded him of too much. His hair hid it well, a look of reminiscence and a hint of sadness... He shook off the feeling, this life wasn't so bad either... but how he missed the ones that he had left behind... if he could only see his little girl... how much she had grown...

Daniel nodded. "Aye... if you can bring forth this sort of emotion with just a few herbs... that job definitely suits you." he said. The food reminded him of his old home a bit as well... though he never had much of a family... a past he didn't like to talk about too much.

"Daniel... What was home like for you?" Lith asked almost forgetting he had a life without her. "Indeed a wonderful job Mera" she said thinking back on when the brothers first came.

((btw Doc's been a shifter for a while his wife will be dead and his little girl now in her 20's))

Daniel's smile faded lightly. "Um... well..." he said. "I... well... It wasn't that happy of an existence." he said. "It's... also a long story... if you don't mind... wait until tomorrow night... when we have longer to talk." he said cuddling her a bit.

She cuddled into his arms and kissed him "It's ok my love. Another time." she said feeling his arms around her. She wondered about his past and what life he had before she took it from him.

Daniel also thought back. Remembering his life... what it has been... he sighed lightly. A life that he was glad to be rid of... she didn't take him from that life, she saved him from it. "Hmm... now where do we go from here?" he asked. "We can wander... but I don't want to put you in danger... we could... find a place for us... this pack. A place to live in peace." he said offering.

[Tierra]

"I think we stay tonight and head out tomorrow" she said. "A nice place to settle down would be good. Soon enough I won't be able to run" she said rubbing her belly with both hands. "How long have I got Mera?" she asked.

Mera looked down at Lith and Daniel, how cute they were "A month and you will be to big to hunt and run" she said.

Daniel smiled at the news... but also made him want to rush. "That means... we will have to find a place soon..." he said. "We will be slowed down by the little ones... and I don't want them to have to face the hardships of travel that soon... and the winter..." he started thinking.

Doc overheard the talk. "I... I might know a place..." he said, keeping a low voice, typical of the shy man. Daniel looked to him, listening. "There... is an island... D'nalri... a large place... with lots of wilds... not many humans, besides a few settlements... perhaps... there..." he said. Daniel flinched at the name D'nalri... it was a place he was too familiar with...

[Tierra]

"Oh Daniel.." Lith laughed "You worry to much my love." she said with a smile as she ruffled his hair. "We still have a few weeks, the little ones won't face the hardship of travel" she laughed "Did you face that hardship when you were a babe?" she asked. "And we will be settled down before winter comes." she said.

Lith and Mera both looked across at Doc when he spoke. He was not normally shy around Lith and Daniel but now he was and this made her tilt her head to the side a little with curiosity. "This island how far away is it?" Lith asked. "Sounds good to me" she said.

[Chaosmazer]

Daniel spoke up this time. "We will need to get there by boat... but it is quite a ways away... about two months..." he said. "Then we will have to be on the sea for about two weeks..." he said. Doc looked at him curiously. "Daniel... how... do you know of this place?" he asked. "That... is where I was born." he said. And where I spent only some of my childhood... And... it is as Doc said... a beautiful place..." he said.

[Tierra]

"You know this place?" Lith asked turning to face Daniel. "Two months. I'll be heavily with child, still able to move but heavily with child" she said. Lith looked from Doc to Daniel. She could feel an unease about this place when Daniel spoke of it. "Daniel... Is there something wrong with this place?" she asked.

[Chaosmazer]

"No..." Daniel said. "Not... anymore anyways..." he said. "It is a beautiful land, most of the ones that I know there are friendly... and plenty of wilds..." he said. "Forests, mountains, lakes, rivers..." he said with a small look of reminiscence. "But... a while ago... there was trouble... it is over now... but... I'll tell you tomorrow..." he said. "I... don't wish to talk about it tonight." he said. "All will be explained when I tell about... where I came from." he said.

[Tierra]

Lith put a soft hand on his shoulders and then caressed the side of Daniel's face. "Say no more my love, tomorrow ok." she said seeing he didn't want to talk about it.

[Chaosmazer]

Daniel placed a hand on her shoulder lovingly. "Thank you love... you always say that you took me from my past life... the truth is... you saved me from it..." he said. "Now though... we all have full bellies... maybe we should get some rest... it will be quite some time before we make it to the dock... then to sea... if we can find a boat..." he said. Worrying about Lith... they had already lost children once...

She smiled at him a little. "Your right we all need our rest." she got up and found a nice spot to sleep "All of you rest for we are not sure when we next will." she said. Lith knew he was worried about her and she was worried about the children but they would get through this.

Mera looked at Doc briefly then turned away to find her own place to sleep.

Daniel moved to Lith and laid next to her. He put his arms around her, resting on her belly. "You are right though... we don't know when we will stop in a safe place next... the wilds we go to next... we could face anything... soon we will need watches to make sure everything is safe as we sleep." he said.

Doc watched when Mera wasn't looking... watching her walk away to a place to sleep. He sighed lightly, wanting to curl up beside her... still... he couldn't say that... much less act on it. He found a nice place for himself... laying down... looking up at the stars.

[Tierra]

"We will re-rank the pack when we settle down, we will need watches, hunters, pup sitters" she said with a laugh.

Mera found a dark little corner where she took her clothes off and changed, in wolf form she was a deep red with black belly and muzzle. She curled up and watched the brothers also find spots then she closed her eyes and let slumber take control.

[Chaosmazer]

"Pup sitters..." he said with a laugh. "Yeah... find out the packs strengths..." he said. Kissing Lith lightly, he sighed and closed his eyes.

Doc watched as Mera changed... she was beautiful, as a wolf or as a human... he smiled, watching her as she went to sleep. He undressed and changed as well...

(What color is Doc's pelt? Or do you want me to make it up.)

Lith closed her eyes. "We will set rankings when we settle down" she said before she also let slumber take her.

Mera's dreams were a mix of the life she had, the life she lived after and the life she had now. Both a mix of her former partner and Doc, her child she carried and lost.

(Doc's pelt is a dark colouration or so I thought it to be but you may chose it you wish)

Daniel rested, feeling sleep overtaking his system. He held his love close to him. He loved her so much...

Doc looked at Mera once more before laying down... resting. His dark pelt blending in with the dark night. Once slumber took him, he seen many things... his past love... now he was sure was dead... and his little girl... however not so little anymore. Then to Mera... a wonderful woman... his thoughts remained on her...

Mera wondered when people would start to ask her off her roots. She had quite a story to tell yet it was one she was not willing to share with any old person. Lith maybe... Doc maybe... But she would have to build trust first.

Lith also wondered about Mera's past as she slept and what the future would bring the pack.

[Chaosmazer]

One thing Daniel was dreading... telling people of his past... what he had done... he wanted it behind him... where it would stay. But still, he cared enough about this pack... they deserved to know.

Doc woke up in the middle of the night... too much thoughts on his mind... seeing people... ghosts from his past... A few tears fell from his eyes... he knew... he was thinking of his old life too much.

[Tierra]

Mera whimpered in her sleep and twitched often.

Lith slept well dreaming of the little ones and Daniel, yet she was troubled by Daniel's reaction to his past and the place they may be heading to.
