"For you, anytime..." he said now stroking her skin softly. "Hmm... still want a massage... know any place that might need more attention?" he asked, still whispering in her ear.

"No... it isn't your fault..." he said. "Not your fault I was turned... just... fate in a way." he said. "But you are right about her... she is a very kind woman... Daniel keeps her on her feet though, the pup always gets into trouble... she loves him dearly though, and he would give up anything to protect her."

She felt a wave flow through her. "My legs are a bit sore" she whispered.

"Yeah.... Fate" she said looking back out across the water. "Pups are like that. I'm guessing Lith has had some time with them" she said. "She's excited about the children" she said with a sad smile.

Daniel looked to her slyly... "I might be able to do something about that..." he said moving down. He slid her pants down. "Sorry Miss... but this would just get in the way." he say playfully holding up her pants. "I hope you don't mind." he said as he began to work on her legs, his eyes straying.

Markus smiled. "I know... it is amazing though... she... is kind... she will make a good mother... but I don't know if she has had experience with pups... she is one of the originals after all." he said. "Still... I want to know more about you." he said looking down at her.

she laughed as he slid her pants down "oh sir.... I'm so under dressed now" she said with a grin as he held up her pants. She looked over her shoulder as he worked on her legs, "I see those eyes straying... what are we looking at?" she asked.

"She'll be fine. I'm sure you will all help her" she said. He was looking down at her and she longed to stretch up onto her toes and kiss him but knew she couldn't. "What do you want to know?" she asked afraid she would have to bring her past up.

"Your wonderful body... It's hard for me to keep my eyes off of you." he said. "I hope that you don't mind." he said as he continued to massage her legs lovingly, working his way up a bit.

"Yeah..." he said... he wanted to put his arm around her, bend down slightly and kiss her sweetly... but... she wouldn't like that... he didn't think anyways. "Well... who were you before you were turned? Who turned you?" he asked. "If... you don't mind me asking." he said.

She blushed and looked away holding back the anger, sadness and tears. She sighed she couldn't lie to the beautiful face of his "I was Akeal Blacksmith" she said looking down. He would know her story. How she was with child, hanging the washing out when a wolf came into her home, how she ran and called out to her husband who came rushing with an axe, how the wolf bit her and dragged her into the woods.

"A-Akeal?" he said. "I... know your story... too well..." he said. He moved down, holding her. Putting his arms around her, seeing her trying to hold back so many emotions. "Do... you know the wolf that bit you?" he asked... wondering... who...

She smiled "You should rest. Few more hours and it will be out shift" she said. She did her top up then sat behind Daniel and started to massage his shoulders and back again.

She looked down and bit back the tears. He put his arm around her and she couldn't help but fall into his arms and let the tears come. "Don't tell anyone else please" she sobbed quietly holding him also. "His... His name was Coven" she said. Mera was unaware of coven being apart of the pack and his betrayal to Lith and Daniel. She hadn't told anyone who the wolf that stole her life was.

"Coven..." Markus said with a hint of anger. "Coven... he... was a member of this pack... the betrayer I told you about... the same man that turned Daniel... our leader." he said. "The pup..." he said. "I... won't tell anyone. You can trust me. But your anger is well placed... the man was a snake..." he said

She could feel the anger in his voice. "He left me to die. He left me in the woods cold and alone. I could hear my husband calling me but...." she sobbed "I..I couldn't get to him" she said "please... Please" she said looking up at him "Don't tell Lith" she said.

Daniel nodded in truth, he was extremely tired... and very comfortable... he felt himself slipping as it was. "Sounds good..." he said relaxing his body, feeling her near him. "I love you..." he said feeling sleep take over his senses.

Markus put his arms around her more, drawing her close. "Don't worry... I won't..." he said looking down at her. "She won't know..." he said "You're safe with me..." he said. "I'm sorry for all you have had to go through..." he said.

"tell me one thing..." she said "Did my husband live?" she asked knowing he didn't, she just wanted to hear otherwise, she held him close to her. "Did anyone look for me?" she asked.

Markus looked down at her.... he frowned... he had heard the stories... knowing of her husbands fate... he didn't want to tell her but... he couldn't lie to her. "He... did not... from what I have heard in the stories..." he said. "But... people did try looking for you... from what I have heard... but they couldn't find no signs... they declared you dead..." he said holding her tighter. "But... you lived... you lived on... after everything that has happened." he said. "Now... you are here..." he held her. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..." he said.

She felt the tears but kept herself quiet. She nodded "I expected as much." she said. "I know your story..." she said. "I sometimes wish I didn't" she said "I still have nightmares." she shuddered a little.

She wiped her eyes and looked up into his feeling a clam wash over her. "I know that you were taken from your family, I know you were changed and left for dead like me... I know you found Lith." she said. "Almost the same fate." she said looking up into his eyes. "I remember the bite the way he dragged me and my last few days as human." she said. "And it scares me..."

Markus nodded. "I... understand then..." he said. "I... wish that neither of us had to go through something like this... but..." he stopped. "I... like this pack though... after... being alone... this... isn't so bad." he said. "I... was lost for a long time..." he said. "It felt like an eternity... I was lost." he said. "But... this pack found me... I've been happy... then... we were captured again... by vampyres... wanting to use us as slaves. I've been through a lot with them... but... I miss my family so much." he said. Holding back a few tears. "But... now... I've found you... It... helps... more than you know... to ease a loss..." he said.

Mera nodded also "It's not fair on us... I thought life was ok till I met Lith then I saw more and wanted more. I'm just scared of going back.... there" she said "I don't want to be there" she said. She blushed when he mentioned her. "Markus... Thank you" she said.

"I'm... scared as well... and by the sounds of it Daniel is worried as well... but... we are all together..." he said. "Nothing bad will happen as long as the pack sticks together... we can overcome anything. Daniel is determined to find a place... somewhere safe for the children and the pack." he said. "I'm... sure the pup will do good... besides... I'll be there to help if you get scared while there." he said.

She shouldn't drop her Alpha status till after the children. But it's not my place to say so..." she said looking down again. "Thank you... but I don't know if I can stay there..." she said.

"Aye... but I think that Daniel is leading right now in name only... he still has much to learn, that he can only learn from Lith." he said. "Even after she gives birth..." he said. "And don't worry, most of the pack doesn't mind it when other speak their minds. It helps us grow." he said. "And... well... you know how beautiful the place is." he said. "And... it... is a nice place to live..." he said looked at her. "But... If you wish to leave it... then..." he stopped not sure if he should be convincing her of such a thing.

Lith woke Daniel softly "It's our turn my love" she said getting up, "Doc and Mera need rest." she said softly.

Daniel woke up slowly at first. His eyes opened fully. "Hmm... I guess you're right..." he said. "Hmm... wonder what they have been up to." he said with a small laugh

She kissed Daniel's forehead, "Who knows my love" she said with a smile. "Come out when you are ready" She said getting up and walking outside. Her boots softly clattered as she walked across the deck "Hmm" she said clearing her throat. "You two are relieved of duty, you may go rest if you wish" she said with a soft smile seeing them holding one another.

Markus looked over to Lith. "Oh... er... alright." he said. He looked down at Mera for a moment before reluctantly letting her go. "I... guess we should rest a bit. It was a long run... and... I am a bit tired." he said.

Daniel watched her leaving. He stood up, dressed and walked out onto the boat. Seeing the two and Lith. "Alright love..." he said. "I guess it is our turn." he said with a little laugh.
