Unexpectedly Blinded (anybody up for a little playfight?)

Riley was for once minding her own business, as she walked back to her apartment from one of the houses she had to visit for questioning. Her stilettos clicked on the pavement, but otherwise she made no sound. Though the sun had set, and the moon was just beginning to peak over the horizon, it was still fairly warm outside. A comfortable temperature with a nice breeze was always nice during a walk.

However, there was always the factor of trouble finding her, no matter what she did to prevent it. An odd scent of metal and spices filled her senses, making her stop in her tracks to see where it was coming from.

She was only wearing a mini skirt and a belly-top shirt, which didn't help at all when a cold chill ran down her spine. It was the last thing she wanted right now to have something jump her. Her brother would already be upset about her walking around at this time of night alone. Actually, upset was probably understatement of the year.

In any case, she looked around, keeping her senses sharp. When she finally located who was near her, she raised a gun at them, but didn't shoot. She kept her eyes fixed on the other being, ignoring the need to blink.
