Unknowing (Male Dragon, Possibly Mature)
Staring into the river that ran through the forest, Viria, a red dragon, only saw one thing in her reflection; she saw a weak, clueless dragon.
This is how it had been for her entire 59 years of life now. She was very close to not even being alive today, but she had managed to get through it. However, due to a development issue, she was not as large or as strong as other dragons, being only 5'2" at the top of the head; and because she wasn't raised by a dragon, she didn't know the common signs of when other dragons wanted to fight, or to mate. Some saw her as stupid, some as a cruel person who ignored their needs.
She could still put up a fight, may that be with prey or other dragons, but when it was with other dragons, she was outmatched. However, she knew absolutely nothing about how to mate. She also did not know what was going on when she was in heat (Which she was at the time this story takes place); why all the male dragons would crowd around her, making strange faces and moving their bodies as though they were trying to show off. She knew that something was increased in her during this time, but she did not understand that it was lust.
When she raised her head from the water, she automatically remembered what she was doing. She was originally attempting to fish, but then got carried away with her own thoughts. So this time, she shoved her head right into the water. And as soon as she did this, she saw a school of fish heading her way. So she just opened up her mouth and waited for her prey to swim right into her trap. And soon enough, she had captured four medium-sized fish in her mouth. So she dragged her head out of the water, walked ten meters away from the river, and spat the fish onto the ground.
Seeing as her razor sharp teeth had already peirced deep through the skin of the fish, they were already dead. This was a relief to Viria; she didn't want to take the time out of her life to try to kill a small group of fish. She layed down beside her kill, and began to feast on one of the smaller fish. She took small bites as she ate; since she was young, she always liked to eat things slower than others.
But then her body tensed. She could sense somebody coming...closer and closer. Yet, she could not see them.
"Who's there!" she demanded, "Show youself!"
She stared in the direction that of which she could hear the footsteps were coming from; this was to her left. Then, from her right, a dragon swoops right on past her. She thought that it was going to try to take her fish, so she lashed out her tail, hoping to stop the dragon dead in its tracks.
"Stop right there!" she blasted out as her tail flung out to stop the dragon.
