Re: Cashed-In Favor
She didn't reply right away, looking him over slowly exactly how most men do women. "Yum...Maybe staying here won't be such a nightmare after all. I'm hungry though, make me something to eat." She thought for a second. "Maybe I left the sheets in the bathroom...I dunno..." she had. They were on the floor covered, soaked and covered in filth that she had wiped off: blood, dirt, dust and sweat. "Oh well, I'm going to take a nap while you get that food. Make sure it's something decent too." She stretched out yawning before closing her eyes and ignoring him.

Re: Cashed-In Favor
Chris wrung his hands in frustration, but realized he was not going to get anywhere arguing with her. So, instead, he decided to humor her for the time being. Collecting the filth-encrusted sheets from the bathroom, he sighed and headed downstairs to the laundry room, tossing the sheets in one of the washers and setting it on 'Heavy-Duty' cycle. Now, to deal with Vair's 'request'.
An idea occurred to him, and it seemed as good of one as he was going to get in this state of affairs. Heading out, he heads down the street to the restaurant down the block to pick up a pizza for his sociopathic ward. The walk, wait, and return to the apartment only takes him about forty minutes...

After about twenty minutes, Vair woke up and looked around. She frowned slightly and wandered around the apartment for a bit, still not putting any clothes on. Finally she settled at his computer, hacking in and snooping through everything.

Re: Cashed-In Favor
The computer contains nothing out of the ordinary, that one might expect on an average person's computer. A couple of games, letters to and from the Xavier Institute, and various websites in the browser's history. Bank websites (no password saved in the computer) forums, news feeds, the occasional porn hit, and sites with more games.
A cough from the doorway tries to get her attention.
"Find anything interesting?" he asks irritably. "Here..." He sets the box down on the desk in front of her. "Pizza. Best in the district... hope it suits your highness's delicate palate." he mutters, folding his arms across his chest.

She looked at the box, opened it and sniffed slightly. "It's tolerable i suppose..." She snagged a slice. "So you're buddy buddy with Xavier huh? He is a twit. Keeps trying to get me for some stupid reason. Says he can help me. Like I need his help. I'm not some newbie tween mutant who can't control their powers. I have complete control over my powers. So you can tell him to butt out of my life."

Re: Cashed-In Favor
"Not my business to tell you where to go or what to do. I owe Xavier a favor and by the sounds of it, he's going to owe me a huge one after I get rid of you." he says, helping himself to the pizza as he leans against the doorway.
"He's got the right idea if you ask me..." he points to the computer, meaning Xavier. "But he's going about it all wrong... some people just don't want to be convinced; don't want to see the vision of his shining human/mutant utopia. I just try to get by without being shot or arrested..."

Re: Cashed-In Favor
She smirked. "Neither of those things really bother me. I can take getting shot up no problem and no human jail could ever hold me. Utopias don't work. So what he get on you anyways? Some dark evil secret or what?"

Re: Cashed-In Favor
Chris scowls at her slightly, grumbling. "Why should I tell you...?" he asks. He sighs slightly, and shrugs, figuring she can't do much more harm to him or the apartment at this point. He raises his wrist, pointing to the watch on his arm.
"I owe him for this. It... well, it helps me maintain my powers, if you really must know. But I wouldn't advise trying to steal it... last person who did that got a nasty electric shock... followed by a metal fist to the temple." he says, fighting back a sly smirk.

Re: Cashed-In Favor
She shrugged. "Like I can't take that kind of damage anyways. That sucks though. I would hate being shackled to something for the rest of my life. Why would I steal it though? It's kinda ugly and I don't pawn things." she got up and stretched slightly. "So what now since I'm stuck here?"

Re: Cashed-In Favor
Chris briefly felt a pang of guilt for having shackled Vair. He reminded himself that she was dangerous and had to be kept under control for the moment.
"It's alright... I'm learning to wean myself off being dependent on it. I can go a day or two without it with no problems, but I prefer not to if I can help it..." he says, starting to calm down slightly. As his anger and frustration subside though, he begins to notice the state of dress his 'guest' is in. He blushes slightly and averts his gaze slightly, sighing.
"Well first, I'm going to go get my sheets out of the wash, and when I come back, I really hope you'll be dressed in something... then we can discuss things like, oh, gee... not trashing my apartment again?"

"What exactly am I supposed to wear? My other clothes and filthy and trashed." She leaned against his desk. "and you can't expect me to wear things like what you are wearing. They wouldn't suit me."

Re: Cashed-In Favor
"Well no offense, but as you are, having you wandering around the apartment would be... distracting. We are going to have to find something for you to wear at some point in the future." he says, still averting his gaze. "I'll make you a deal... you put some of my clothes on, just for today, and I'll buy you whatever outfit you want. IF you promise to behave." he states warningly.
Re: Cashed-In Favor
She frowned, crossing her arms across her chest. "Depends on the definition of behave and what happens if I don't? The only reason you got me in the first place is because I let you get close to me."

Re: Cashed-In Favor
"As in not hurting anyone or demolishing anything..." Chris just sighs, rubbing his forehead slightly. "Y'know what, forget it... It's not worth my effort to try to be nice. I'm only inviting more trouble into my life by trying..." he says. "I suppose it'd be too much to ask for you to leave my computer in one piece while I go get my sheets out of the laundry..." he says, and leaves to get his bed linens.
