Moving Can Be Hard
Damien sighed as he ran a hand through his black hair, he was not looking forward to what he was forced to do right now, he wished it wasn't true but this was the truth and this was reality and he was being forced to leave the person he was sure he loved:
"I know you don't want to. I know you want to stay here with your boyfriend, but you have the computer you guys can keep talking to one another don't worry about it Damien. My work isn't just going to move here and your father has already found work where we're moving." His mother had said to him early that morning. This was the most sudden thing that had ever happened to Damien in his life. "We'll have all your stuff packed up by the time you get home from school. We're leaving tomorrow. So you can tell everyone that you're leaving today at school." She had practically been lecturing him on all this, it was probably because he wasn't responding he stood there his jaw tight as he tried to hold back his frustration. "Um....alright." he had finally replied. "Well you tell Aouri I'll miss him. Have fun at school." His mother said kissing him on the forehead before seeing him out the door.
At school he hadn't been able to tell Aouri that he was leaving. He wanted to tell him in a more private, loving situation. School was a terrible place to tell someone you are sure you love that you suddenly have to move. At school he had been very careful with who he told and also made sure they swore to not tell Aouri. He had to tell him and that was why he had set up this date. It had at one point been a concrete skate park, some of the concrete was still around and there were random bushes here and there. But they had tore it down to try and build up the fauna in the area. Most people thought it was ugly that it looked like plants and trees were invading an almost human structure, but Damien thought it had more of this scenic jungle look. There was a bench near a small brook that traveled over an old patch of concrete and down into a small pool of water below. Damien sat down, it was so peaceful, so shady, so quaint and perfect. He looked at his cellphone knowing that Aouri wouldn't be late, Damien just hoped he hadn't worried him by suddenly calling him out like he had. But this needed to be done.

Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Aouri hadn't been expecting anything less than the usual that day; leave home for school, see his boyfriend Damien, go to classes, Damien again, go home and maybe mess around on the computer. If not that, hang out with Damien. He thought it a little odd to have suddenly received a call from said boyfriend and was told when and where to meet. He would have been excited about this sort of surprise-date-kind of thing, had the day not felt so off in the first place. He couldn't place it, but the air around some of the people they knew was just....different.
As scheduled, Aouri arrived at the location, which had been a decrepit concrete skate park. Very few could see the real beauty of the place, seeing only what should have been there. The very few, which included Damien and himself, saw what it had become, although Damien chose to describe it as jungle-esque. Aouri checked the time on his cell phone quickly before picking up the pace a bit. He saw Damien on a bench ahead and his heart skipped a beat. Damien looked so....down. He couldn't imagine why he'd been called out here, but he wondered if he should have suspected something earlier. "Damien," he said under his breath, approaching quietly but swiftly.

Damien looked around at Aouri when he called his name. "Hey there." he said with a smile, unable to help himself he loved seeing Aouri no matter the circumstances. "I guess I have something really important to talk about." He looked away from his boyfriend and down at his hands which he had folded up on his lap and he licked his lips pretty nervous now. A thin layer of swear had appeared on his brow. He didn't want to hurt Aouri and he didn't know how he would react and the thought alone was driving him mad. He sighed slightly trying to calm himself down at the moment not so sure about it anymore. But he couldn't just leave and not tell him.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Aouri moved to sit by Damien, taking his hat off and holding it in both hands. He examined the clear anxious state Damien was in curiously. He kept his silence as he waited for Damien to speak. He said nothing as to prevent unnerving him. He didn't know what was going to happen, but he was trying to brace himself for whatever it was. Should he expect the worst? Aouri took a hand from his bunched up hat and set it lightly on Damien's shoulder. "Whatever it is, it won't change us," he assured softly.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Damien looked at Aouri when his boyfriend spoke those very comforting words. He shifted closer to Aouri and looked down at his lap again, "Well...I'm moving..." he said quietly, his smooth voice a few tones lower then usual. The words dropped like stones and he hated that but this was it. He had finally told him and he hoped that Aouri would stay true to the words he had just said and not let is change anything between them. "I was going to tell you earlier...but I couldn't bear to do it at school." He said shaking his head his almost shoulder length black hair falling in front of his face almost hiding the very depressed look on his face. He had never moved he had lived here his entire life. This was like the end of his life in a sense.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Again, Aouri's heart missed a beat, but for a different reason than usual. He dropped his hat as his body forgot most of its proper functions. He even forgot to breathe. The only thing he didn't forget to do was to drop the hand that laid on his boyfriend's shoulder. "Wha-...t?" he breathed out, stunned. The news of this had shocked his blood cold. "You....you're leav-...ing?" His heart fell to the pit of his stomach. This hadn't even come to mind when he braced himself for whatever could have happened. His first thought had been them breaking up, but that was reassured when Damien accepted what he'd told him instead of pushing it away. "Then....us...we're still together.....right? We can still....right?"
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
"Y-yeah...I'm leaving." he said the reaction he ended up getting almost making him cry. He bent over and picked up Aouri's hat. "D-don't worry about it. We can still be together. We always will be." He said sticking the hat back on his head and fighting back the clenching in his throat which usually led to him crying. "We still have tonight together anyway. Let's just pretend this isn't happening...please?" he said putting his hand on Aouri's knee. He blinked quickly a couple times not wanting to feel the way he did, not wanting to make Aouri act the way he was.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Aouri swallowed past the lump in his throat with an effort and blinked back tears. A few managed to spill over and run down his cheeks. He pulled himself closer to Damien, burying his face into the other boy's shirt, into the crook where the neck and head met. The spot had been made for him, he believed, as he fit perfectly there when they cuddled. "We can make the most of it tonight then," he said, the pressure in his throat making it hard to speak as he usually did. "Being together in person is always better than just speaking online or through a phone."
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Damien threw his arms around Aouri and held him as closer as possible, after seeing those few tears he felt as though he lost all meaning to live. He rested his head on top of Aouri's as he listened to him speak, "Exactly." he said with a sigh. He ran his hand through the bits of Aouri's hair that showed from under his hat as he continued to hold him close. It was such a comforting feeling and he was starting to think that maybe this wasn't completely the end of the world...maybe. He still wasn't sure about that much.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Aouri took the silence for a bit before asking what he'd been wondering. "What did you have in mind for spending time together?" He'd go for anything Damien wanted without complaint or hesitation. He rarely did so anyway, but he was going to enjoy whatever was thrown at him today from his boyfriend. He wouldn't even mind just spending time in Damien's arms for however long they had left in person. But whatever Damien wanted to do, he was up for it.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Damien sighed as he thought about the question. "I don't really know I can't think as clearly as I'd like to...but can I spend the night at your place? It's upsetting being at home right now." he said not letting go of his love. He looked at the trees surrounding them thinking they looked very calming as well. He knew he would have to make this a night to remember he had to leave a good impression when he left.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
"Yeah, I would have asked you that soon enough if you hadn't suggested it," Aouri said, listening to the heart beat of his boyfriend. It was rather steady though it would pick up and go faster than usual, then reduce to the regular speed again. What did his sound like? Was it loud? He thought so because he could hear it in his eardrums. "Is there anything special you'd want to do before that though? It's too early to think about sleeping."
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Damien sighed, "Well...can we go out for dinner...?" Damien asked running one hand up and down Aouri's back. "We can think about later later...but we should really make this night one that we won't ever forget." He said sighing again he was glad he had managed to calm himself down enough. He closed his eyes and listened to their heartbeats and their breathing, both barely audible unless he concentrated on it.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
"That sounds good," Aouri agreed, inhaling his boyfriend's personal scent and loving the familiarity of it. Everything about Damien felt wonderfully familiar. Not as in, he knew it already, but like he could claim it his or he'd been around the feeling so much that he'd just become so accustomed to it. He removed his head from under Damien's and kissed the other boy's cheek. "Any place special you wanna go?" he asked since they had the same tastes more or less with food.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
"Well...I don't have anything particular in mind." He said barely moving as the kiss was planted on his cheek just smiling faintly. "Maybe we could just go to the place owned by Toya's parents. It's really nice there and they know us." He said with a shrug. He had told their friend Toya earlier that he was leaving and chances were he had told his parents so maybe they would even get a more VIP like treatment since it would be their last time going there as a couple. "Is that alright with you?" he asked reaching up and placing his hand on Aouri's cheek rubbing it with his thumb and smiling.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Aouri smiled against the physical contact of Damien. "Of course," he confirmed, leaning into the light pressure of his boyfriend's hand. "We'll make the most of today for us. Nothing will change after you move. Just the distance and maybe the amount of time we spend with each other in person." He was trying to sound at least a little bit optimistic so Damien might not be so down. It didn't really fit Damien to be so upset. He just wanted him to feel all right.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
"Absolutely. We'll be fine, in a few years we can find a way to be together forever anyway." He said leaning forward and kissing Aouri on the lips for a moment so glad that he was being relatively optimistic about all this knowing that he could be swirling down into a pool of depression, he should have known better then to think that they would be over with just this though. There was no way this could separate them, "So...we'll leave in a few minutes...alright, I wanna stay here for a while longer." He said looking at the water for a brief moment.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
"Yeah, okay," he complied, gazing into the water at their reflection a little sadly. It was this kind of picture that could be captured on film, but not all of it would be there. The camera couldn't ever capture what they were feeling right now. He captured the image in his head, ready to hold onto it for as long as he had to. This might not have been the best memory to look back at later on, but it was still a memory that would belong to them forever.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Damien smiled softly as he watched as Aouri gazed at the water the way he did. He turned his head towards him and kissed him again this time more passionately. Wrapping his arms around his boyfriends frame and pulling him closer. He loved being close to them, he loved their bodies touching even just like this.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Aouri melted into the loving kiss from Damien and the warm embrace from him. He let himself just get kissed and held for a few seconds before returning it with as much passion and meaning as Damien was putting in. Their kisses were usually kind of chaste, mildly a fight for dominance when they were just kissing, and half the time it turned into a heated flurry. This wasn't one of those kisses though. It was something slow and entirely meaningful. It wasn't a fight for dominance. It was a shared emotion and contact between the two. Aouri had more to remember for this day instead of just the captured mental image of the two staring sadly through the water.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Damien let himself into this moment of complete passion just wanting to moment to stretch on forever, which it did. It was the longest moment of his life but he did eventually have to stop to breath. He pulled away from Aouri but still held him close. "Sometimes...just sometimes..." he didn't finish his little breathy statement and just closed his eyes and sighed loving the closeness between the two of them.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Aouri was left to pant softly as he was held to Damien. The moment felt like time had stopped just for the two of them as they kissed. Now that they had stopped for breath it proceeded to go. He said nothing to the unfinished sentence of Damien, he just listened to him breathe. The two shared the close bonded feeling through the contact they had, each silently transmitting their hidden worry and sadness.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
After what felt an eternity but was probably only a couple minutes Damien let go of Aouri and stood up, "Come on lets get going. I'm getting kinda hungry." He said with a meek smirk, he held out his hand towards Aouri waiting so they could get going even if he didn't really want to leave anywhere right now he wanted to stay right where he was.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
"All right," Aouri said as he took Damien's hand and stood up with him. He hadn't been very hungry to start, and now that the news had been announced he had lost his appetite completely, but maybe when they got there he'd be hungry. He was lucky he remembered his wallet today so he could pay for the meal. He didn't think either would be getting something too big so he would probably have enough. Since the people there knew them well they might help out if he was short a little.
Re: Moving Can Be Hard
Damien smiled at Aouri before he started to walk out of this little patch of green and out onto the sidewalk knowing exactly where he was going, "So we can always talk on the phone or we can e-mail each other...I probably won't be able to visit often but I will definitely find time to come visit you." he explained though his voice went through the air rather fast he just thought he had to get that much out there.
