Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
“Cat, honey, are you awake?” such a sweet woman, always so caring and always so close. Gatto opened his eyes and looked up at her with a warm smile. He loved his mom so much; she had to try too hard to keep herself together all of the time and it made Gatto feel guilty. He sat up and shook his head shaking his hair a little bit just to have it land in front of his face, he fiddled with the buttons at the top of his pyjamas, not only did he look like a young boy but a lot of the time he ended up acting like one too, it wasn’t something he could get used to though. With his condition it was as though he didn’t age the same way other kids did mentally, because a lot of the time he wasn’t completely there. “Don’t worry mom...it’s me.” Gatto said looking at her relatively worried face. Because she always lived with such worry she had premature wrinkles on her face making her look a lot older then she really was, though when you have a 21 year old and a 17 year old you can’t be all that young to begin with. She seemed relieved and she smiled in an ever warmer than before, “That’s great to hear Gatto. Now hurry up and get dressed I have breakfast ready for you already.” She said before she closed the door and Gatto listened to her footsteps getting fainter and fainter as she walked. When they had completely disappeared he started to get dressed. Gatto went and sat at the table within the next ten minutes. He yawned and rested his chin on the table as his mom put a plate of pancakes in front of him. He licked his lips before sitting up again. He looked at his mom and smiled, “Thank you.” He said before smothering the food in syrup and digging in. As he ate his older brother Cane walked down and sat down across from him and their small table. Their mom put another small stack in front of him and he said thank you as well. “Cane, you’re driving Gatto to school right?” their mother asked looking over her shoulder from cleaning dishes in her rush to get everything tidy before she had to leave for work. “Why...do you have to go to work early?” Cane asked looking up at her, she gave him a look that said he hit the mark and he sighed and shook his head, but he smiled, giving away his answer, “Of course...We don’t want to force Gatto to walk to a new school on the first day of the school year.” He said smiling. “Don’t you have classes this morning Cane?” Gatto asked looking up from his food. Cane shook his head, “Nope, not until this afternoon.” Gatto smiled at the answer and the two continued to eat in peace and quiet even when their mom left and they were alone to get themselves ready to go like it had been for the past seven years. Since the incident that changed Gatto’s life, and the lives of his family members forever. Over the next twenty minutes the two men finished eating and got themselves cleaned up a little bit more before they left. Gatto was always happy when his brother drove him to school or took him anywhere for that matter, he and his brother had always been very close, closer than most families because of the experiences they had gone through in their lives, things that most people probably wouldn’t even be able to imagine, and Gatto hoped they couldn’t so he could continue to hold this special bond with his brother and not worry about other people, ‘feeling his pain’. The car ride was silent though but Gatto was fine with it, at least it was time he got to spend with his brother. Not...that other person. When he was dropped off he could see his friend Anna waiting for him at the school entrance. He was glad that she had moved too, seeing as their parents had both got job transfers to the same place. Their parents had been good friends since they were little, and now their kids had been friends in the same way. Gatto waved to his brother as he left the car, Cane waved back and drove away when he saw Anna. “Hey Gatto.” She said as they started walking into the school, she could always tell whether Gatto was himself or not, though he guessed it wasn’t that hard after he got dressed, he and his... ‘alter ego’ had completely different thoughts on fashion and fitting in. Gatto’s was much more bland, not wanting to draw any attention to himself since he knew he was rather good looking and would attract himself a lot of attention otherwise. So he almost always had his hair covering his face and wore boring pastel colour shirts and light jeans. “Hey Ann.” Gatto said rather happily. “We have our first class together right?” Anna asked cocking her head to the side. Gatto nodded remembering the discussion he had had with her on the phone not long ago. A sudden serious look covered her face for a moment, “Does Neko know about the school changes and his new schedule?” she asked. Gatto asked, he knew he would have to think about this sooner or later. The fact that he had Multiple Personality Disorder always reared its ugly head now and then. “Well no...but when do I ever have the chance to tell him stuff like this...he’ll find out sooner or later...hopefully later.” He said with a sigh. Anna nodded in understanding. "Well class is going to start in five minutes...we may as well head up..." she said making sure her brownish red hair was all pulled back into a perfect little ponytail and her bangs were clipped to the side of her head with a colour assortment of clips to match her stripped shirt, jean skirt and matching stripped stockings. "Yeah, of course. Who isn't looking forward to getting to math class right at the beginning of the day." Gatto said in a more joking tone, something he didn't, couldn't or wouldn't use with or around anybody except for Anna and his own family. She smiled at him and the two of them headed up the stairs to their classroom. “Do you think they’re going to pull out the stops to welcome us?” Anna asked jokingly. “Of course they are...” Gatto replied sarcastically. “In other words...no one’s even going to notice us.” Anna replied with a sigh able to read Gatto’s sarcasm easily. “Well I wouldn’t say that...with neon stockings like those...you’re bound to catch somebody’s attention.” Gatto commented motioning with his chin to Anna’s neon yellow and orange stockings. “Well...yeah maybe.” She replied as the two of them sat down in the very middle of the classroom, figuring it was the place to get the least judged. Gatto took out his notebook and started writing headings and writing how much he hated math and changing schools in the margin of the paper. He showed Anna and she couldn’t help but agree with him. He hoped this teacher didn’t say anything about Gatto’s disorder because Gatto knew that his mom had called all his teachers the day before to tell them about it and what to look for in telling them apart. He just hoped she did a good enough job. He didn’t want to be embarrassed right off the bat at this new school. The bell rang and the rest of the students started to file into the classroom taking seats near their friends and as Gatto thought, he and Anna were, as far as he could tell not bothered with. Not that it bothered Gatto, he was fine as long as he didn’t go around making enemies for himself. He didn't like the teacher right off the bat, he didn't even seem to acknowledge the students and they seemed free to do anything. But when he called out the attendance he went through it like it was nothing and called Gatto without a glance around the classroom, if he did that even when Neko was in the classroom Gatto didn't know what he would do. If Neko was stressed out, he wasn't just going to leave and hide back behind Gatto and things would get very complicated very quickly. Anna leaned over to him, obviously having noticed the name thing but instead of saying anything about that or anything at all relevant she decided to ask, "Hey do you see any hot people around?" Gatto sighed and shook his head not even going to bother replying, because he didn't want to start looking around at all the students. |
Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Maxim awoke to the sound of his alarm clock blaring in his ear. He groaned and smacked the sleep button a few times before it actually worked. "Peice of crap" he muttered as he rolled over and sat up. It was an old alarm clock that he had found lying around, that he had picked up. If he didn't, there would be no way he would be able to wake up in time for school. He reluctantly got out of bed and pulled on some clothes, not really paying attention to what he was putting on. Light faded jeans that were the skinny style, but not too tight, a black t-shirt with bright colours splashed across the front, and an electric blue sweater, and two different brightly-coloured socks. He walked downstairs quietly, knowing full well that his parents would be there, and didn't like it when he and his sister made much noise. He was as quiet as possible when he grabbed a peice of toast and some orange juice before returning to his room, ignoring his parents who both sat there silently, his mother staring at the TV while she ate, and his father reading the paper.
Once he had finised getting ready and eard the door open and close twice, and two cars leave the house, he went back downstairs. He sighed as his sister breezed by, dressed in one of the sluttiest things he had ever seen, texting on the phone that their parents had left each of them. They only ever left things in their rooms that they found necessary to keep them happy and away from them. He and his sister were never given anything to their faces. He sighed and got up after awhile, realizing that he had been staring at the wall, like his mother often did. He got up and grabbed his bag, which was laced all over with neon colouer shoe laces. He pulled on his lime green converse and left, a new spring in his step, grinning already. He loved school, for the only reason that he was around people that liked him, and he wasn't home. Some people found it strange that he loved school and he never had people over, but he didn't care. Nobody knew what went on at home, and that was the way he liked it. That wasn't him.
As soon as he was surrounded by his friends he was his loud and excitable self. Yelling and laughing with his friend Mike he headed to his first class. Even if he hated math, it wasn't such a bad class, since the teacher didn't care about them much. He piled into the class with the rest of them, not paying attention to the two new people until he was taking his normal seat behind someone he didn't know. He tilted his head and was silent for a minute before continuing his conversation with Mike loudly. As soon as the teacher took attendance, announcing two new names without even flinching, which didn't surprise him. As soon as th class started chatting again and the new girl leaned over to talk to the other unfamiliar person, a guy, who he was guessing either knew him already, which was a bit weird, or just got along from the start, since they were both new, he grinned.
Maxim put both his hands on the chair in front of him and leaned forewards, crossing his arms over his desk while he leaned on them. "Yo! You're new here right?" he asked, hoping to start a conversation. He was grinning, the expression rarely seen off his face when he was at school. He had no idea if the new kids would even want to start a conversation with him, but he didn't care. He all but forced most of them too. Either that or he just kept talking until they spazzed on him for not shutting up. "I'm Maxim" he added to the end of his sentence, deciding it would be polite to introduce himself. He noticed Mike glancing at him every once and awhile which he talked to someone across the aisle from him, but he ignored it, focusing on the pair in front of him.

Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Gatto jumped slightly when someone suddenly spoke from behind him, having not expected that, even having Anna as a friend all his life he still jumped even when people who were like her spoke out of no where. Anna was the only exception to that. She on the other hand though seemed to have noticed this guy leaning forward before he said anything. She half turned in her seat to look at him glad that someone was talking to her. "Yeah we're new here." She started folding one stockinged leg over the other and resting an elbow on the back of her chair. "My name is Anna. It's nice to meet you Maxim." she said pushing a bit of her auburn hair that had fallen out of her ponytail behind her ear. She had a huge smile on her face, she had noticed this guy come in, and when she had asked Gatto if he had seen anyone hot, she had completely been referring to this Maxim guy. It wasn't her fault that Gatto could be very oblivious sometimes. Gatto didn't say anything he was paying attention to the teacher, after his initial jump he didn't really want to talk to the guy who had suddenly scared him like that, not because he didn't like him or anything, but because he didn't seem like the kind of person he would get along with easily, again, Anna was the exception to this but Gatto had grown up with her and was completely used to being around her all the time. He knew she kept looking at him with a small frown especially now that he wasn't responding to Maxim, the first person who had talked to them, though other people talking to them would be inevitably with someone like Anna as a friend anyway. She didn't say anything though until she elbowed him in the side, earning a small grunt. He pouted slightly as he looked at her through his bangs. She gave him a mocking look before looking back at Maxim, "And this quiet little boy is my best friend Gatto." she said turning he gaze right onto her friend as Gatto sighed, "Right, best friend?" she asked with an almost evil, impish grin. Gatto cringed slightly at the look knowing it never meant anything good. Gatto just nodded. Anna continued to stare urging him to talk more. "Yeah, I'm new as well, my name is Gatto Locke." he said quietly in a rather hushed voice. Anna didn't looked pleased with the answer but knew by the way Gatto looked down at his work that he was finished talking. She sighed as she looked back at Maxim, "I'm really sorry about him. He's just shy." she said with a smile. By now the teacher had noticed their talking and was glaring at them ocassionally with a look that simply said 'shut up.' but Anna didn't notice, though Gatto did, but he figured it would be more fun if the two of them got in trouble then if they were actually quiet. |
Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Maxim grinned when the girl looked at him, although he was a bit dissappointed when her friend didn't. "Nice to meet you too Anna" he said, giving a half wave. "Nice stockings, by the way" he added. He really did like them. Bright colours really are addicting. He liked Anna's style. It was unique, if anything. Her friend seemed to be quiet, and he assumed that he was shy, which was a bit odd. There weren't that many people who were that shy at this age. Especially attractive people. He would have at least expected him to say hi or something. He was sure he would get at least something out of him by the end of the class.
He flicked some of his hair out of his eyes, going almost cross-eyed to look at it, before turning his attention back to the pair in front of him. He laughed at Anna's introduction of Gatto, grinning. She seemed to want her friend to talk to him as well. So they were best friends? It was strange to have them both moved at the same time, to the same school. He figured he would learn that eventually. It wasn't like they were going anywhere. . . they went to this school now, so he had time to learn about the two of them. They seemed like interesting people. Both of them.
"Well it's nice to meet you Gatto" Maxim said with a smile, tilting his head to the side. He could tell that he was reluctant to say anything more. He had learned quite a bit about body language from home. He laughed and shook his head. "That's fine, don't appologize. I'm not offended or anything, since I'm assuming it's not just me" he smiled, then frowned, "Well, I'm hoping it's not". He was just kidding, but you never know. Some people were just annoyed by his personality, and didn't want to talk to him. Normally he took advantage of that and annoyed them as much as he coult, just always talking to them and pestering them. But he wasn't too sure about Gatto. He wanted to get to know him. He seemed to interesting to ignore, and too shy to annoy.

Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Anna smiled at Maxim at the comment on her socks she laughed lightly, "Thank you." she said in her bouncy, bubbly voice. She kept glancing sideways at Gatto, wishing he wasn't so shy and what not around new people. It took him a long time to open up and actually accept someone as a friend, though she didn't blame him, someone in his predicament probably would find it troublesome to have to try and explain everything to a new friend. Gatto in particular was very self-conscious about it and a lot of the time didn't even bother telling people that he had the problem he had, it's the reason he didn't want to have many friends. Anna could tell he wasn't really looking forward to school he never was, even though it was a new school, it was still just a matter of time until everyone thought of him as the schizo freak. Anna would never show whether she felt sorry for him or not. Anna nodded, "Yeah don't worry, it's not just you. I just thought he could be a bit more open now that we're at a new school. Didn't you say you would be?" Anna asked her friend nudging him in the ribs a bit more. He just shuffled as far away from her as he could and gave her a look, she just stuck her tongue out in response before turning back to Maxim, "He's not like this all the time. Just around new people, or during school." She said shrugging as she switched which legs were crossed over each other, this new arrangement making it easier to kick Gatto if need be, also kept from having one of her legs go numb annoyingly. Gatto rolled his eyes. He could tell what Anna was thinking, after knowing her for at least ten years he could read her easily and knew under her bubbly exterior she was actually very worried, not about herself of course but worried for Gatto, which actually annoyed him a lot. The only person he was really close to that didn't worry about him this much was his brother who knew that Gatto was strong enough to deal with all this stuff by himself and that if he needed help he would ask for it, even if he could be stubborn at times he did know when and if he would need help with a situation. When Anna spoke to him again he shrugged, he hadn't really been expecting to change the way he acted for this new school. Though he didn't want to upset Anna he couldn't think of anyway to be more outgoing and assert himself socially. The teacher was still ocassionally glaring at the two that were talking the loudest but didn't say anything. Gatto still didn't find the need to tell them that they were being glared at. He glanced up at the clock, the class had barely started, and he knew Anna had barely started as well. He could tell she was frowning at him again but she didn't say anything to him as she turned her attention back to Maxim. |
Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Maxim grinned, leaning back in his chair, a bit to the side. He kicked his feet up onto the desk, relaxing and earning a glare from the teacher, but she didn't say anything. He didn't expect her to. Most teachers had stopped trying to get him to stop being loud and disrespectful to teachers a long time ago. "Noo problem" was his only response. He glanced at Gatto every once and awhile, not really sure how to get him to talk, but he was coming up with a plan, which was a bit difficult while holding up a conversation, but he managed.
His grin had eventually faded to a small smile, but had not left his face completely. It stretched back across however when Anna said it wasn't just him. So he had been like this before too? It wasn't just a new school or anything. "It's fine, some people say I can be extremely intimidating anyways, so I understand" he said, grinning wider. He was obviously joking, since he really didn't think anyone would find him that intimidating really. But he did understand, even if it was strange. Almost all teenagers would talk to someone their age if they were spoken to.
The two of them here seemed to be communicating silently, since they seemed to know eache other quite well. He felt a bit left out, which didn't sit well with him. He had made a vow to himself not to be left out, ever again. So far, it was working pretty well, except for at home. He was like a different person at home. "So why'd you guys both change schools?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. He was curious about this, and it hopefully would keep him from feeling left out. He knew he was paranoid about attention, but he had a good reason to be, in his opinion.

Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Anna laughed slightly as Maxim leaned back and put his feet up on the desk in front of him. He was obviously used to acting up, during class. She actually looked over at the teacher for once and noticed the glare, she pouted slightly to herself, Gatto noticed that she noticed the teacher glaring at them constantly. It earned a small laugh from Gatto, but he just shook his head and continued with the work in front of him as Anna frowned at him tilting her head and looking at him through her eyelashes before she turned back to Maxim smiling again. She laughed slightly at his words, "Oh yeah, from what I can tell you're very intimidating. I'm literally shaking, you've got such a manly, intimidating look about you." she said shuddering before laughing again and sticking her tongue out the side of her mouth mockingly. The comment though made Gatto frown and furrow his eyebrows, he couldn't help but take that as a bit of an insult. So far he did not like this Maxim guy, and he didn't think he would. He was Gatto's completely opposite and it was annoying. Anna scratched the back of her neck and smiled at the question on why the two of them had both switched schools, pulling her tongue back into her mouth. She glanced at Gatto, noticed his frown but said nothing about it, her smile not faltering as she knew it would if she wasn't trying to keep the smile on her face because for some reason she was getting the vibe that Maxim wasn't liking her little mind and facial conversations with Gatto. "Well, Gatto's mom and my mom work together at the same company and they both got transfered to the branch here at the same time. So we both moved here. We live like...down the street from each other, which is closer then we used to live to each other." She said with a laugh, "Yeah, in case it isn't really obvious by how much we already know each other and get along with one another we've known each other for a lo~ng time. Since we were like 5 or something, and we've been so close ever since we first met. You might not believe this right off the bat but Gatto was actually very very outgoing when he was little, even kinda like me." she said her voice falling to a mock whisper for the last part getting Gatto to roll his eyes again, Anna would started talking as though she had known this guy forever. He knew from this on Anna wasn't going to let him go very easily, and he'd end up seeing this Maxim guy a lot from here on out. Gatto got out a spare piece of paper and looked at it for a moment before writing with a very neat rather large writing that was his. Oui paddan ghuf frah du crid ip. Mayhn ruf du rumt ouin duihka. he folded it once and creased it, going over the meaning of the words in his mind, 'You better know when to shut up. Learn how to hold your tongue.' it said but in the language he and Anna used when they passed notes in class. He threw it onto Anna's desk and she looked away from Maxim for a moment right after she finished talking to look at it with a confused look on her face. She opened the paper read it quickly and sighed pulling out a bright green, almost neon coloured pen she wrote down her reply, E GHUF, E GHUF! her writing was very curly and rather bubbly, as to be expected from her, she wrote even larger then Gatto, though, for the most part, she had meant to exaggerate the size like she did. She put it back on Gatto's desk open. He looked at the large words ans sighed rolling his eyes, hoping she was serious about that. |
Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Maxim glanced at Gatto when he laughed. It was a quiet sound, and he barely heard it over the class, but he could identify it easily enough. He crossed his arms over his chest and laughed. "Oh yeah. You should be shaking. I can be terrifying. I'm probably the most manly man at this school" he joked, putting his arms up and 90 degree angles from his body and flexing, making an "RRR" sound. He was glad that Anna could joke around like this, even if Gatto was shy. He had no idea that the other male had taken it insultingly, since he hadn't meant to. It was just how he was.
Maxim couldn't tell that her smile was forcedand he listened to her explaination. "Oh, that makes sense. That's pretty cool. You're lucky you two got to move together. Most people lose their friends that way" he said, glancing sideways at Mike, who seemed to be taking an interest in their conversation, but hadn't said anything, probably not wanting to interrupt. His parents were pretty strict on that kind of thing, so he had gotten into habits. "That's cool that you guys have been friends for so long. I don't have anybody I've been friends with for that long" he said, shrugging. He tried not to let it show that that bothered him, since the way he put it, it didn't sound like there was anything wrong with his childhood, which was the way he liked people to think.
Maxim looked down at the paper that was thrown onto Anna's desk, trying to keep his eyebrows from raising as they normally did. He didn't pry, not wanting to come off as rude. It did bother him as well though, as he again was feeling left out. Mike leaned an arm on his shoulder, rubbing in the fact that he was taller, as he so often did. "This is Mike, by the way. Mike, this is Anna, and Gatto" he said, indicating them each in turn. "Yo. What's good?" Mike greeted them as he did most people, as if he had known them forever. He noticed Anna's stockings right away, but didn't say anything about it, figuring Maxim already had. His friend had a thing for bright colours, as everybody knew.

Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Anna smiled, she liked this guy, glad that she could find a friend right off the bat, though she was curious as to how Gatto felt about him. She looked at the paper on Gatto's desk and took it back and opened her pen again but she didn't write anything yet she kept her eyes on Maxim. "Yeah, I know a lot of people aren't lucky enough to have a friend that they've been with since they were really little. And I know Gatto and I will continue to be friends for a loooooong time since we've been through so much together." Anna looked over at the other guy that Maxim had been talking to early, but it was the first time she actually saw him. For now though she turned her attention to the paper she had in front of her. Fryd du oui drehk uv drec kio? she wrote, the words meaning 'What to you think of this guy?' She put the paper back on his desk and turned back to these people who had decided to talk to the two of them. "It's nice to meet you Mike, Gatto probably won't reply because he's doing his work, but I'm saying hi for the both of us. Also...who says 'what's good'? I haven't ever heard anyone say that before." she said with a giggle, putting the side of her curled hand to her mouth as she did. Meanwhile Gatto had read what she wrote and was thinking before putting his black pen back down to the piece of paper E tuh'd mega res. E'mm demm oui fro mydan. which meant 'I don't like him. I'll tell you why later.' he put it back onto Anna's desk and she glanced down at it reading it quickly before nodding and frowning slightly. She had a feeling that Gatto didn't like Maxim right off the bat, he didn't often like people who were like Anna at all, except for, of course, Anna. She looked up at the other two she had noticed Maxim eying the paper curiously earlier and she smiled at him, "You wanna read it?" she asked holding it out with her brightly polished nails, an assortment of bangles and handmade bracelets on her wrist. Everything on her was very bright, it was just the way she was, even if she wasn't that bright academically. She wasn't preppy though, or at least not all of the time, she was more along the line of simply...hyper. Except, all the time. She knew that neither of them would be able to read it so even Gatto didn't seem to care, not glaring at her or anything, this was the reason that they didn't write notes in English. Writing the way they did made it so it didn't matter whether or not other people saw them. So even Gatto could relax about it. |
Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Maxim nodded, agreeing with her. The first friend he had actually made was Mike, on the first day of highschool, when he made a resolution to never be ignored again. "Yeah. It's gotta be great to have someone who's been around so long they know you completely" he said, giving a slight laugh. He was referring to their silent conversations really, but hopefully not letting on how they bothered him. They deserved to have them, he knew, but it irked him. He looked at the paper again as she started writing, wondering what they were talking about, but he said nothing.
Mike grinned when Anna replied, but it faded a but at her questions. "Really? Who doesn't say say it! Most people here do. Or at least the ones I talk to" he said, laughing slightly. It was surprising that she had never heard anyone say it before. It seemed like something completely normal to say. "What kind of school did you go to before? One under a rock?" he joked, grinning. He flicked hihs head to the side to send his emo-styled bangs out of his eyes. Maxim smacked his friend on the back of the head lightly, shaking his head. "Now now Mike, don't be rude" he scolded, only able to keep a straigh face for a few moments before he grinned again.
Maxim raised an eyebrow when Anna held up the peice of paper. He hadn't been expected to be let read it. He glanced at Gatto, who didn't look annoyed or anything with her actions. He looked back to the paper and read a sentence, an eyebrow raising and he leaned his head back, screwing up his face. "Umm. . . didn't expect that" he said, wondering what language that was. He deffinitly didn't recognize anything of it. "What the hell?" Mike muttered, raising an eyebrow as well. "Soo. . . that's deffinitly not english" Maxim said, just for something to say. He wasn't too sure what to say to that.

Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Anna nodded, agreeing with what Maxim said about having a friend that you could know everything about, and Anna knew everything about Gatto that was for sure, there was nothing he could keep from her now. Not since she had actually had to start trying to understand him. She was kind of surprised though, with the kind of personality Maxim seemed to have she would have thought he would have a friend like she had Gatto, but she had only just met him so he may have some sort of secret past shrouded with darkness and a very upsetting story filled with death and depression...or maybe she was just over thinking. Sure it was possibly, her mind drifting to Gatto's past, but what were the chances of anyone else having to go through all the stuff that Gatto had gone through. Anna shrugged at the comment on her not having heard 'what's good' before. A rather confused looking pout made its way onto her face, her brows furrowing together as she blinked a couple times. Her looked softened considerably when he mentioned a school under a rock and she even laughed slightly as he said it and Maxim told him to not be rude. Gatto seemed to have caught the comment as well and he rolled his eyes sighing but he smiled lightly none the less knowing exactly what Anna was thinking at the moment because it was the first thing he thought of as well. He couldn't help it. Anna giggled slightly, "Hey don't worry about it, I mean we did kinda go to a school under a rock. We went to a music academy and as the name would suggest it's pretty snooty there." she said with a laugh. Gatto nodding in agreement they both shook their heads though, the had gone to that school for about ten years so they had learned all they would ever need to about music, so they didn't mind having to have left the prestigious school they had left behind. As the two scrutinized the note Gatto and Anna had been passing back and forth Anna laughed, she had been expecting something like that, and so had Gatto. "Nope definitely not English." She said shaking her head some of her reddish hair falling out of her ponytail but she didn't bother fixing it just pushing stray strands behind her ears. "It's a little language me and Gatto came up with to use for notes and stuff, as you can tell it's more of a written language then a spoken one. So you don't have to worry about me talking like that, unless I want to make a fool of myself anytime soon." she said with a laugh snatching the note back in a rather playful manner and folding it up sticking it in her binder. "And no we won't teach it to you. It's our little secret." she said sticking her tongue out the side of her mouth again. |
Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Maxim poked Mike in the ribs and shook his head. "Idiot" he muttered. He had seen the look Anna had had before she softened up a bit, and felt a bit bad about it. Mike did too, but neither of them showed it. It just wasn't the kind of people they were. Both of them had their eyes widen slightly when they heard what kind of school they went to before. "An acadamy? Holy crap. That's so cool! What's it like there? I've never even seen one!" Maxim's voice was a bit raised, but not too much. He had always had this image in his head of people who went to a school like that, like snobs with a stick-up-the-ass. Nothing like Anna and Gatto.
"Deffinitly not" Maxim agreed, nodding, a bit confused. "You two made up a language? That's pretty cool" he said, nodding again. He figured if he ever tried to make up something like that, he would confuse himself too much and end up giving up. "Aww, come on!" Mike protested when she said they wouldn't teach them. He was kidding, since he probably would forget as soon as he learned it anyways. He wasn't that great with creative things like that. "I'm alright with not learning it. It'd probably go in one ear and out the other" Maxim laughed, shaking his head and put a hand over his ear.

Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Anna nodded, "Well academy is just a fancy name I think, it wasn't that much different from a regular school. The teachers were a bit stricter...but we didn't have to worry as much about English, Math and Science and subjects like that, they most took out the whip with our music related courses. The school had three buildings...one for grades one to six one from seven to nine and then ten to twelve...well technically thirteen but...well it was an optional year. And there were dorms but a lot of students lived in the area anyway..." Anna started, Gatto sighed knowing that Anna would be able to go on forever about their old school. Though he could tell that, even though the teacher had stopped talking and had given them work to do, that the four of them, even Gatto who wasn't doing anything and was probably just being associated with Anna wasn't doing anything, were still being glared at for talking so loudly and so much through the class. "A lot of the students were really stuck up. I got in because my parents are rich...Gatto got in because his brother went there and because his father was a famous violin virtuoso a while back." She noticed the slight twitch of Gatto's tensing muscles at the mention of his father but he didn't do anything and she didn't do anything to suggest that she noticed. She laughed slightly as they talked about her and Gatto having made their own language being 'pretty cool' she didn't really think so, she thought a lot of people did stuff like that, it was fun after all. "Well, we made the language because the teachers were strict, but they couldn't really kick us out because you know, our parents paid so much to get us into the school, and some of us had famous parents and they didn't want to lose that." she explained with a shrug, "This was a good way to pass notes without having the teachers bother us as much about it. It was fun being told to read them in front of the class." she said with a laugh. Even Gatto smirked as both of them fell back onto memories of Anna squinting down at the words on the sheet of paper at the front of the class holding her bow and violin in one hand and the note with the other. Though Anna quickly disregarded the thoughts and turned her attention back to Maxim and Mike, sort of expecting questions. Gatto on the other hand kept his head in his thoughts not bothering to even pay attention to the conversation Anna was having with these two. Anna was the outgoing one, not Gatto. |
Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
"Well that's still pretty awesome" Maxim said with a grin, which slipped a bit as he added the next part, "Except for the strict teachers part" he glanced at their own teacher, grinning and waving at her, earning himself an extra glare. "I could live with not having to worry about english" Mike said with a laugh. His english mark was a little. . . low, if anything. "I'm not surprised that a lot of them are stuck up. That's the kind of people that are normally associated with acadamies and private schools and such. I really wouldn't have guessed that you two had gone to one. You don't seem like it" Maxim smiled and shrugged. He had gone against private schools in competitions for the school band, and they all looked like stuck up rich kids.
"That's pretty smart" Mike complimented nodding. "Maxim and I just ignored the whole sneaky idea and openly pass notes, or talk. It's gotten us in trouble quite a few times, but it's all good. Most teachers have given up trying to control us" he grinned and laughed, as did Maxim. "Yeah, we have slight authority issues. How'd you come up with a language anyways? Some kind of cypher?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. He took his feet off of his desk and leaned his elbows on it, resting his head on his hands. "Yeah, it's gotta be confusing hasn't it? I don't think I know anybody who's made up their own language" Mike added.

Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Anna laughed, "Yeah you would think getting to play music and learn theory for most of the day would be such a relief but it was actually really difficult. When you're in the younger grades they really pay a lot of attention on English and Math but they get less serious about it as you get older. Which would make sense I guess." she said slowly shaking her head back and forth as she thought about her experience at her music school. She couldn't help but laugh at what they said about the academy students though getting yet another stern glare from the teacher and even getting Gatto to look up in confusion, having not heard what Maxim had said he watched Anna curiously, "Yeah, I know, there were like 5 of us who were exceptions to that pole up the butt stereotype. And then I was the only one ever did anything different with the uniform. They didn't have a rule against accessories." she said shaking her wrists her bracelets and bangles making a variety of sounds as they hit one another. Gatto smiled slightly as he figured out quickly what she was talking about and he laughed slightly to himself shaking his head before going back to his work and leaving Anna to her conversation. Anna smirked and Mike as he explained what he and Maxim did, "Wow, well are way is more fun." she said with a laugh, "And we don't have to worry about people figuring out what our conversations are about." she finished with a large smile. She thought for a short moment before she went on to explain a bit about their language, "Yeah it's just a cipher, there's no real secret to it we just picked random letters for each." she said with a shrug. "It's really not confusing after you've been using it for years. It's just sorta burned into our brains now. To the point where sometimes when we're just writing normally we'll write in 'dra' or 'oui' or 'drec' or something. Which mean 'the', 'you' and 'this'. Sometime's I'll accidentally say some of the words too." she explained with little hand gestures here and there to accent what she was saying. After a short while she spoke again, "Do either of you play instruments...It's a shame that they don't offer strings at this school. We normally practice at school, we we'll have to practice during lunch or something." she said looking at Gatto who shrugged. "Gatto plays the violin, viola and piano. I'm not NEARLY as talented as him, and I only play the violin but I do kinda know how to play the flute thankfully." she said with a laugh. Gatto sighed he didn't think he was that good. Anna noticed the sigh and laughed lightly at it. "It's weird...we both love music so much but I'm the only one of us who took it here...probably because Gatto doesn't want to feel like an idiot with no idea what he's doing on a new instrument." she said with a shrug earning herself another sigh from Gatto. |
Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Maxim shrugged, not really finding music hard at all, but he had no idea how much they cracked down the whip at some private school. As much as he hated private schools and the kids who went there, it'd be cool to go somewhere like that for a year or something. Like his parents would even aknowledge this fact, let alone consent and pay the billions of dollars it would cost. He grinned at the comment that they were two of the five. "Well I'd hope so. From the way you dress I can tell you wouldn't want to be stuck in such a bland uniform. I personally would probably just not wear the uniform, screw the conciquences" he shrugged, moving one of his hands away so he was only leaning on one elbow. His green eyes flicked to Gatto when he showed some interest in the conversation, before he went back to work. He was still planning on how to get him to talk. Maybe later, if they had any other classes together. Or tomorrow, if it came to that.
Mike laughed, nodding, as did Maxim. "Yeah, sounds like more fun. They threatened to call our parents a million times, but strangely never have" he said, ignoring the slightly forced laugh from Maxim. He had no idea what would happen if the school actually did call his parents. But as long as he didn't do something completely against the rules he knew he was fine. Mike was completely oblivious to this, as he had been for the past few years. "Wow, sounds pretty easy. . . I'm sure I still wouldn't be able to remember" Maxim said, sitting up and then slouching down in his chair. He often found it hard to sit still for any period of time. He was good at remembering things for school or something, but he wouldn;t be able to remember the whole alphabet. "I might be able to get most of it after awhile. . ." he amended, thinking about it. Mike nodded his agreement, flipping his dark bangs out of his face.
Maxim grinned and nodded at the question. "Yep. I play the tenor saxophone" he replied. "I played Trumpet. . . but I stopped taking music last year" Mike added. They both looked at Gatto at the list of instruments he played. Both had their eyebrows raised. "Hoooooly crap" was Maxim's only respone to that. "That's pretty impressive. I only know three or four other people who play more than one instrument well" Mike said, leaning back in his chair. It may seem like alot, but compared to how many people he knew, that was nothing. "You should take music Gatto. I'm sure you could figure something out, since you know how to play three. And you would know how to read the music and everything. Especially since you seem to like music from what I hear" Maxim said, smiling. He didn't know if Gatto was even listening, but whatever.

Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Anna laughed, "Yeah, I used to get calls home all the time, so after a while I think." she explained, relatively proud of it, especially since her parents hadn't really cared, they had both gone to school similar to the one she had gone to and had both acted out the way she had so they were completely alright with it. She swung her legs slightly as she spoke, she was happy she had made friends right off the bat, and she really hoped that Gatto would open up to them as well since they did seem like the understanding type, at least Maxim seemed to be. She liked both of them though so it didn't really matter. She couldn't help but laugh rather loudly when she heard them say they would be able to learn it, "Yeah, like we're going to let you learn how to understand our language, we'll never give you the opportunity." She felt a sort of calm coming from Gatto as though he had been worried that they would find out how to understand their language. It something he thought of as his and Anna's and only theirs and he wouldn't accept more people knowing it. The last thing he wanted though was to be separated in any way from Anna since she had been friends with him for such a long time and they were so close and understanding of one another, especially Anna of Gatto which really meant a lot to him. He needed someone around him that really understood him or he would be labelled a freak by everyone because they would never take the time to learn anything more about him. "Heh. The saxophone, you know they don't even let saxophonists in orchestras." Anna couldn't help but say, she didn't like the saxophone as an instrument she loved classical music and orchestral music, going to a music school had that sort of affect on even someone like Anna. She pulled her hair right back and tied it back up like it had been earlier. Anna looked at Gatto as the conversation was aimed more towards him hoping he would talk. She just really wanted him to be a part of this conversation as well and maybe find friends in these people who had been so nice to them. He shrugged before he spoke, he still didn't seem to be all that interested in the conversation but at least he was trying to participate now. "Well...I guess...But I've had music forced on me since I was little...It'll be good to take a break I can still practice during lunch and stuff." He said before falling silent again. Anna was pretty shocked at how he said nothing about reading music. She decided to say it for him, "He doesn't just read music, he reads music. Like...I bet you didn't even KNOW there were three different clefs. Gatto can read in all three. He reads in Treble for the violin and piano; Bass for piano; and ALTO for viola. I like the Alto symbol, it's really fancy." She said with a laugh and a smile. Gatto just sighed and pushed his hair out of his eyes slightly. Again he didn't think it was that big a deal. |
Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Maxim laughed at the explaination. She seemed retty happy with that fact. he had only gotten one call home in his life, and that was when he had fallen and hit his head off the ground in the third grade, and his parents hadn't done anythind about it. His sister hadn't done anything, he didn't have any friends, and the office just sent him back out. He shut his mind out to the memory and grinned. "Wow. I wish my parents were that understanding" he said with a laugh. "Your parents wouldn't care much would they though? They let you do whatever you want" Mike brought up, but the black haired teen only shrugged. "You never know" was his only answer. Nobody seemed to notice that he was reluctant to talk about his family to a certain extent.
Maxim held up his hands, sitting back a bit. "Don't worry, I wasn't saying I would, I was saying I probably could if I tried after awhile" he said with a laugh. he could tell it was something special between them, as weird as that was. Mike grinned, shaking his head. Maxim could even grin when he was being defensive or calming people down. It was hard to find the boy without a smile. Unless he was completely zoned out. "We're not going to steal your language from you brutally and savagely, don't worry" Mike joked. He understood that they wanted to keep it between them, which was fine with him. It was quite amusing when it got to the notes. They were complete gibberish.
Maxim frowned slightly at the comment, tilting his head to the side. "So? There's nothing wrong with the sax. . . " he said, making his face before grinning again. "Oh well. It doesn't really matter. It's fun to play and I'm good at it" he shrugged, letting go extremely easily. He shrugged when Gatto answered his question. "Fair enough. It makes sense" he looked to Mike to see him nodding, crossing his arms and leaning back. Maxim ran a hand through his black hair as Anna spoke, raising an eyebrow. "Seriously? Holy crap. I knew there were three. . . but I didn't know what the last one was called. . . and both of us can only read one" he laughed slightly, gesturing to Mike as he spoke. He wasn't sure how Gatto could be so calm about it all. It was pretty impressive. Most people would have at least something to say about it.

Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Anna noticed the slightly reluctance from Maxim about talking about his parents, but she thought nothing of it and just let him change the subject. This of course was the first thing Gatto had found interesting about Maxim over the short while he had known him. He didn't care about the music, him as a person, but this little thing, not wanting to talk about his family was one thing that got Gatto thinking maybe would even lead to something the two of them had in common. Not to the same extreme of course but a similarity between the two. He would never voice these thoughts though, it was not in his nature to voice what he thought the only people who knew what he was thinking were people who had been around him for a long time, at the moment there were three people: Anna, his mom and his brother. He smiled ever so slightly to himself as he thought about it but continued to do his work flicking his head to the side slightly to get some of his hair out of his face. Anna smirked lightly as he said he could but wouldn't go about learning their little language. "You better not." She said tapping a finger against her desk with a painted nail, she was serious but he voice had a very joking tone to it as she spoke, she didn't really know how to be completely serious. She looked at Gatto but he seemed to be off in his own little world at the moment so her focus turned right back to Maxim and Mike. She was just happy to hear that this little thing that was solely hers and Gatto's would still only be hers and Gatto's. "Su~re there's nothing wrong with the sax..." she said rolling her eyes but laughing, she didn't really mean it, even though she didn't like the instrument all that much she didn't hate it or anything, "Still no matter how good you are at it, it still sounds like a fog horn." she said waving off his comment on how he was good at it. She looked at Gatto as her friend was complimented again, he shrugged again not seeming to care. "It's really nothing, it's just something that is expected of me." he said with a frown. Anna frowned for a split second as well before turning back to Maxim and Mike. She smiled, "He's been playing since he can remember probably...I don't know maybe since he was 5. I think that's when he started playing the piano right?" she said looking at Gatto who nodded in response. "He started violin at 8 and Viola at 11." she explained. Gatto sighed again. She turned to her friend, "You want to practice at lunch we haven't played together in forever." she said with a smile. Gatto looked at her and nodded, "Sure." he said with a shrug. Anna turned back to the other two, "You guys can come listen if you want. I found some music that the two of us can play, you guys would like it I'm sure." She said with a large smile. |
Re: Split Personalities (Open. Yaoi please.)
Maxim laughed and shook his head. She was pretty serious about this whole thing. He could tell, despite her tone, as could Mike. It wasn't hard to tell. They didn't really have something between just the two of them. He didn't think he had anything like that with any of his friends. It was pretty normal to him. He didn't care how private his conversations were with people. The only thing he didn't want the world to know about was his home life. The rest was fine with him. "My friend and I tried to make a language in grade 6 or something. . . but we made up different words for everything. . . we gave up after a week or so" Mike said, remembering it and snickering, "It was a pretty bad attempt at creating a language. We weren't that creative". Maxim laughed and shook his head. He wasn't too surprised. Mike could be a very unoriginal person when it came to that kind of thing.
Maxim crossed his arms and sat up straighter. "Well what if I like fog horns? They can be pretty kickass. And loud" he grinned. He wouldn't be able to stand a quiet instrument. He always had to be heard, no matter what. He couldn't just sit there and be drowned out by everybody else. "Wow. . . that's pretty intense. . . I know a lot of people who took piano lessons when they were little because their parents made them, but most dropped out after a few years" he said thoughtfully. He wasn't sure if he would drop out or not if his parents ever cared enough to force him to do something like that. "Hm, sure, I'll go. Sounds awesome. I'd love to hear you guys in action" he said with a laugh. "What about you?" he asked, looking to Mike. "Wouldn't miss it" he said simply, grinning and flicking his hair out of his eyes.
"So what classes do you guys have next?" Maxim asked, tilting his head curiously. "I've got english" he added. "Science for me" Mike said, rolling his eyes. "Fuuun" it was horrible having them both in the morning like that. Both of them were aware of the teacher's glares still, and figured that she was going to lecture them later about 'corrupting the new students' or something, even if she didn't really care. She just always needed something to chew them out for.
"Wow. . . that's pretty intense. . .
