Thane smiled as Skyler walked in and greeted Teioh. They got along well, which was good. He didn't know what he'd do if Teioh and his family didn't like each other. That would prove to be a problem. Beatrix left his side and found the brunette on the couch, hugging him now. He laughed, one arm around Calla, briefly glad that he wasn't blushing anymore. "Yes you are. You're the oldest one here" he replied, grinning. Sure, Teioh was only a year older than he was. Oh well.

Teioh frowned he hated to think he was getting older, it was one of the only things in the world that scared him. "I'm one year older then you, so if I'm getting old I'm bring you down with me." he said forcing a smirk. He ruffled Beatrix's hair with a sigh. Calla let go of Thane and looked up at him, "I'm bored, can we play a game Thane?" she asked her hands clasped together behind her back as she smiled up at Thane innocently. Beatrix was lying on Teioh and watching the TV. Skyler and Teioh were having a conversation about child shows and how odd they were nowadays with Beatrix telling them to shush every once and a while though Teioh would admit to himself alone that he found these shows incredibly amusing.

Thane wrinkled his nose at the thought of getting old as well. He didn't want to get all old and wrinkly and ugly. He looked down at his sister when she detatched herself from him. "Okay, just don't do anything to my hair" he said with a smile, wondering what she had in mind. He could be too trusting in his little siblings sometimes. He had no idea what she could be coming up with. Catching some of Teioh's and Skylar's conversation he raised an eyebrow, giving them a look before shaking his head and looking back down to Calla.

Calla giggled, "But Thane, I want to make you look pretty." she said. "He's already pretty leave his hair alone." Teioh called from across the room. Calla stuck out her tongue in Teioh's direction. "Can we paint a picture?" she said cocking her head to the side. It was an innocent enough request and she wasn't dumb she knew how well Thane could draw. Teioh was idly running his hand through Beatrix's hair, humming lightly his eyes drifting closed.

Thane forced himself to laugh at Calla's words but he knew better than to let her do that. Making him look pretty would probably be doing the opposite. He threw a grateful look in Teioh's direction before chuckling at his little sister sticking her tongue out. He liked this question better. "Sure we can" he said, giving a smile. Painting a picture seemed harmless enough, and it was definitely something he loved to do. "What do you want to paint?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.

Calla smiled, "Can we paint a picture of our family." she said walking into the room where the piano and easel were the only pieces of furniture. There were paintings done by Thane all over the walls. She walked over to where there was a blank canvas on the easel and smiled up at Thane. Beatrix sighed, "Tei~oh, can you play me a song on the piano." She said. Teioh blinked a couple times, "Sure why not." he stated with a smile kissing her on the forehead before lifting her up and putting her on her feet and walking off towards the piano, made only slightly more difficult by the fact that the girl was wrapped around his leg and giggling like mad.

Thane smiled back, walking towards the room after her. "Sure. Here's some paint" he pulled out some of his less expensive paints, and a brush. He had no idea how well Calla could paint people, but he didn't mind. It was cute. He looked up as Teioh walked in, pretty much dragging Beatrix along with him. He laughed, looking back down to Calla. "I'll get some water for you, hold on" he walked into the kitchen and filled a small container with water to rinse the brush off with. Returning to the room he set in front of his little sister beside the paint. "There. All set" he said, giving a smile.

Beatrix let go of Teioh and sat down at the bench in front of the piano and Teioh sat down next to her taking a book of music off the top of the piano. He looked at the book before flipping through to something fast paced and uppity. He picked a song called 'Gold Saucer' to play. He looked over at Calla before he started to play though. She was looking up Thane with very skeptical eyes, "You paint one of us first." She stated sharply to her brother. Teioh laughed lightly at the statement but didn't say anything as he continued to play the song. Beatrix watched his hands play across the keys in awe.

Thane glanced up at Teioh as he started to play the song, recognizing the tune. He looked back down at Calla and blinked at the statement. It was more like. . . a demand. He laughed slightly but did as she said, glancing up at Teioh again when he laughed. He pulled up a chair and sat down, picking up the paint brush and started. He painted his mom, using the water to rinse the brush as he changed colours, picturing his mom in his mind as he did. It wasn't very hard with someone who he was so familiar with.

Calla watched as her brother pained their mom and Beatrix looked over once or twice but was quickly taken back by Teioh's hands as they moved quickly. Teioh glanced over every once and a while to, he loved Thane's paintings so he couldn't help himself. "Can you paint me when you're done mom...then I want to paint you." Calla said her hands clasped behind her back as she watched her brother's hands move around the canvas.

Thane noticed glances he was getting while he painted. He paused to look to Calla and smile. "Sure. I'd love to" he said, smiling again and going back to painting, rinsing his brush off again when he finished the picture of his mom. "There. You next" he said, looking her up and down quickly before starting, intending to paint her in what she was wearing. It was easy enough to paint his family. He knew their appearances like he knew his own, if not better.

Calla watched as he painted and while he did Teioh finished the song he was playing and chose Cinco de Chocobo to play next. Beatrix kept having her gaze flick between Teioh's fast moving hands and Thane's graceful strokes as though she couldn't decide which one she liked more. Teioh did end up winning though and her gaze fixated on his hands as they played the jazzy song across the piano. Teioh could hear Skyler in the kitchen but figured he probably hadn't had breakfast or something so it was perfectly fine by him.

Thane glanced at Calla a few times while he painted her, just to be sure he was getting it right, not that it was all that hard. He listened to the new song Teioh started to play, completely relaxed. He had almost forgotten what he and Teioh had been doing before the interruptions came. Almost. He could hear Skyler in the kitchen as well and felt slightly bad for him. Dragged out early in the morning by their little sisters. He added eyes to his painting of Calla before sitting back. "There you are" he said, turning to look at the little girl.

Calla smiled as Thane finished his paintings of the two people, "I look so pretty." she said with a bright smile on her face. As she picked up a thin paintbrush. "You're so good at this Thane." she said smiling up at her eldest brother. She bit her lip a little and looked at Thane a couple times before she started to paint as well. Trying to mimic her brother's style as best she could which wasn't that good because she hadn't had that much practice with painting, sure she had done it a couple times but nothing that well. She tried her hardest though as she went about painting her brother.

Thane smiled right back, glad that his sister was so happy. "You're always pretty" he said as she picked up the paintbrush. "Thanks Calla" he laughed lightly at the praise, watching as she started to paint him. It was interesting to watch his little sister try to copy his style, and he found it kind of cute. He really did love his family. He had no idea how often Calla painted at home, but he was pretty sure it wasn't often. He didn't expect her to be amazing, concidering her age, but it wasn't horrible or anything.
