"I would like to see you try...", he said softly, hearing her purr, and so he did the same. "Yeah... we can wash up quickly... and get busy... in another manner than what we have already...", he said with a grin as he nipped at his lower lip. "I think I can take care of wood if you take care of lunch...", he said softly, thinking for a moment. "But you can come along if you want... I don't want you to feel you have to....", he said softly. He didn't want her to feel she was stuck in the kitchen while he went out. He looked lovingly into her eyes for a moment as he stood up, grabbing ahold of her hands and lifting her up with him.

she got up with his help and smiled'' its ok hun, relax, i don't mind being in the kitchen and getting a hot meal ready for us. besides if one is out looking for wood the other cooking, we can get those two things done about the same time. i will even stoke the fire a little to get it warm in the living room so your not too cold when you come in '' stretching she quickly washed down before washing him again then turned the water off and reached for the towels.

He gave a sigh, relieved that he wasn't forcing her to do something she didn't want to. He grabbed one of the towels, and wrapped it around his waist. He gave a short shake of his head, shaking off a quite a bit of water from his long red hair which immediately returned to it's spikey, irregular form. He quickly began to rub himself dry, starting with his ears and tail, getting any water from his fur. "Ok... that sounds good... I just wanted to make sure I wasn't enforcing any stereotypes on you or anything.. you know... the whole 'women belong in the kitchen and laundry room' thing...", he said with a nervous chuckle.

she squeaked and giggled with laughter as he shook the water out of his hair, spraying her with warm droplets, blinking several times and her own ears twitching she rubbed her face dry with the towel as she grinned at him'' nah hun, i know your not like that. man i like the way your hair does that'' she grinned as she patted her ears, tail and hair dry first before going over the rest of her body.'' besides.. i don't think being stereotype is in your personality, your too sweet for that. ''

He looked at her, seeing her giggle with laughter. "Sorry, love, but there is always an after-shower with me...", he said softly as he hugged her for a moment, feeling the warmth of her body against his skin. He looked up at his hair for a moment before he released her. "I don't know why but it has always done that...", he said as he quickly dried the rest of himself off and hung up the towel. "Aw...", he said softly as he turned to her with a smile. He wasn't entirely too sure of what to say at that moment, but an awkward thank you escaped his lips. He shook the awkward feeling off quickly and began to rummage around for warm clothes as he walked out into the living room, feeling the warmth of the fire.

she grinned'' its alright, i just love it when your hair does that, it seems to look like its begging to be played with '' she teased, hugging him back before following him, rummaging through her clothing as well before pulling on a thin pair of sweat pants and a long tshirt to help keep her warm. '' bundle up tightly love i don't want you getting sick. '' she pulled on a pair of socks as well to keep her feet warm before she headed out into the kitchen as she rummaged through the bags of the few things she bought.

He smiled back. "Well if you want to play with it, go ahead...", he said softly as he saw her pulling on her clothes. "You are so much sexier when I am pulling your clothes off of you and not when you are pulling them on...", he said with a smile as he found some of his warmer clothes as well and pulling them on. Simple jeans and a t-shirt were all he had. "Cold doesn't make you sick... a weak immune system does...", he mumbled softly, turning and seeing her rummaging through the things. "Oh... and I saw it... to let you know...", he said softly.

she blinked in surprise, and slight confusion'' saw what? '' she had no idea what it was he was talking about, atleast not at the moment as she pulled out several cans for food. '' hmm well then when you get back i will play with your hair after food. '' she teased, sticking her tongue out at him as she went to the stove to get it going. '' and cold makes me get sick sometimes. well. with a cold of course. or the flu. ''

He smiled softly. "Don't play coy... I saw the test...", he said as he walked over and pulled it out of the bag, finding it easily. "You coulda told me...", he said with an innocent smile. "Ok... fine... I will go get some wood... I just hope it hasn't all covered with snow by now...", he said with a chuckle as he walked outside, closign the door behind him and taking in a deep breath of air, finding an axe near the door. He quickly shook off the snow on it, noticing the snow had stopped. "Thank god for that...", he mumbled as he walked off, going into the woods.

she flushed brightly '' oi , i did tell ya i was going to pick up one, didn't say when though'' she snatched the test from him and grinned as she poked him.. '' don't tease me. '' she stuck her tongue out at him as she watched him go outside, relaxing slowly as she got the food started before picking up the test, frowning as she read the directions, she definitely had to go to the bathroom, making sure she understood them she headed for the bathroom to take the test.

Charlie came back just over an hour later with some decent logs on his shoulder, they were covered in a little snow, but the wood seemed dry enough to burn easily enough. He set the wood down by the fireplace and looked around for Missy for a moment before he relaxed on the couch, warming himself up by the fire. "Missy... where are you?", he called softly. "I got wood...", he mumbled, rubbing his hands in front of the fire.

she sighed as she tossed the test back in its box before washing her hands then headed back out to the living room . '' hmm was just taking care of a few things hun, food is ready , i will go get it. '' smiled, kissing him softly before going to the kitchen to get bowls, one thing about being able to cook rice, was it was fast, plus add a little cream of mushroom and chopped up chicken and there was a full blown meal right there, she even added a few veggies.

He raised an eyebrow as he saw her walk in. "So what did it say?", he asked as he stood up, and hugged her to him before letting her go. "Don't worry about the food so much, I want to know...", he said softly and in a tender voice. He gave a short sniff in the air, smelling every ingredient in the rice, and it made him salivate. He ran over and put some of the logs onto the fire which gave a brief crackle. He was eager to hear the news, so much that it was making his tail twitch with excitement. He walked up behind her and caringly put his hands on her hips before curling them around her and hugged her.

she flushed brightly as she looked up at him as she felt his arms around her again '' hmm and how did you know i already took it? been spying on me?" she teased, leaning back against him as she slid her hands over the top of his before moving one of his over her belly .. '' well.. from the test. it said i was positive.. but how far along i am, i do not know. that is what a doctor is for. '' she tilted her head up slightly to look up at him and place a gentle kiss on his chin. '' and i am just hoping its not a false positive. those tests can sometimes do that. as well as false negatives. ''

"I had a feeling with how you snatched it from me before I left...", he said with a small grin, still anticipating the answer. He let out a soft purr as he felt her move his hand to her belly. His ears twitched at the answer as he sort of stood there, stunned for a moment as a large smile found it's way across his face. "I'm... going to be a dad?", he asked, in a monotone, still stunned. He wasn't exactly sure how to react as he felt her kiss his chin. "I... don't know what to do... My legs are stuck...", he said softly as he dazed off.

she smiled'' well it looks like it hun'' nuzzling his neck slowly she relaxed slowly, '' i will see about going to one of those walk in clinics just to make it absolutely sure hun .. relax. '' she smiled warmly .. '' let us sit down and eat hun ok?" she purred loudly she was happy though it did make things a little comfortable.

He pulled away from her. "Where would be a walk in clinic around here?", he asked curiously as he walked into the living room. "Sure...", he said softly. "Let's eat...", he mumbled softly, still stunned from the news. "I... love you...", he said softly. The news still had to sink in. He was so excited, but wasn't quite sure of how to express it, so he was just... stunned. He grabbed a plate of food and hungrilly ate at it, savoring each bite even though he was eating quickly. "I'm... going to be a dad...", he mumbled to himself in between bites.

she smiled, watching him seem to be flustered over the news.. '' there is one in every town , even small towns, walk in clinics are usually used for those who don't have the money to go to one of those expensive doctors, but they are still good. and it will help me keep low and off the grid.'' smiled as she sat down next to him and ate her food as well. '' a good father too hun''

"Ok... can we go later.. or wait til tomorrow?", he asked as he watched the fire intently. He ate up the last of his food and gave a stretch, and a sigh. "That wood should keep us going until sometime tomorrow...", he said softly as he got up and put his plate in the sink and gave a sigh. "Can I do what I really want to do right now?", he asked. The sun was starting to wear off and he just wanted to go to the roof of the cabin and just scream triumphantly. "I really wanna do something...", he said as he began to twiddle his thumbs to keep himself occupied.

she blinked and smiled. '' you can do whatever you want love. i am not the boss of you '' she lightly kissed him as she put her plate up as well'' and yes i figured we could go in a few days, i am not going to rush into it . we need time to relax and settle in first. '' smiled as she sat back down next to him before placing her hands on his to keep him from fidgetting.. '' hun.. do what you want. no need to be nervous.''

His face brightened for a moment. He waited for her to come close and put her plate into the sink. He gave a small grin and picked her up, spinning her around him. "I'm going to be a dad!", he exclaimed loudly, holding her firmly, but not tightly. "God, I have been so nervous about this, and finally, we have an idea... We're going to be parents!", he exclaimed, hugging her tightly and close. "I love you so much!", he said as he planted several short kisses on her. He gave a short sigh and a clearing of his throat. "Whew... I feel better...", he said, brushing a short strand of hair from his face.

she squeaked in surprise as she was suddenly picked up and twirled around, '' eeep yes yes your going to be a dad now put me down or i am going to get sick'' she poked him , she was excited but the twirling around was making her a little nauseated. when she finally was sat down she relaxed and snuggled up against him playfully as she kissed his cheek. '' glad you feel better, my stomach is in need of time to settle down again.. ' grinned, purring softly as she closed her eyes'' ok i feel better. ''

He looked at her sheepishly. "Well you could say I could do what I wanted to...", he said as he blushed a little. He listened to her purring as he began to purr softly as well. "Glad you feel better...", he said softly, and gave her a quick poke to her belly. "And you're going to be a good mom, too.", he whispered tenderly. "I love you, Missy... more than anything, I love you...", he said as he hugged her softly, holding on, not wanting to let go as he heard her purr. "Hmm.. your purr is so slow and soft...", he said softly, almost falling asleep, just listening to it. He gave a brief yawn. "I do think it is time for some sleep...", he muttered softly as he released her.

she blinked and smiled warmly .. '' really ? well i think your going to be a great father too. '' grinned'' a little rough around the edges but thats not a problem. '' she smiled, listening to him purr as well before nodding, lightly kissing him '' yea i think it is time for a little cat nap. we did use up alot of energy earlier. and the warmth in here feels so darn good. '' she couldn't help the yawn as well, rubbing her eyes slowly she leaned against him more and relaxed.

"Rough around the edges?", he asked. "How am I rough around the edges?", he asked with a raised eyebrow. He closed his eyes as he felt her kiss him and he gently kissed back. "Quick sleep on the couch?", he asked as he slowly leaded her there and sat down before giving another yawn. "Hmm... the fire is so warm...", he said softly as he rubbed his hands and put them close to the fire for a moment before he swung his arm around her, and pulled her down to lay with him. He still emitted a soft and low purr as he looked at her, his eyes already becoming heavy with the urge to sleep.
