Scy was quiet for a long while, she herself fading in and out of conciousness, the beating of his heart, the warmth of his touch, and steadiness of his soft breathing her lullaby.
She knew he probably wasn't going to stay, and she resented that. But, she would at least enjoy him while she can. And if he did leave, well, she supposed that was just one more heartbreak she'd have to endure and survive. But at least the memories of him would be pleasant, unlike what Tarrance had done to her.
But she knew, and she figured that he better also, that if she trusted those dangerous treasures to him, and he tried to run, she would hunt him down herself, and he would learn the full extent of a she-wolf's, a she-fox's, rage. In her thoughts, she knew that if he knew what was good for him he would at least be wise about that. She hadn't condemned herself to isolation for however many centuries she had, here, with no mate, no companions, barely even friends, to just let those items get stolen and sold on the black market. If he tried anything, not only would she hunt him down, but Spirit World would too--but they'd have to beat her to him. After all, Spirit World's intelligence was sketchy at best.
But, in her heart of hearts, she hoped that he wouldn't, and even if he didn't maintain thier relationship then she hoped he would at least maintain a partnership with her regarding those artifacts.
But as she came to the threshold of sleep, her thoughts changed from protectiveness to happiness, and she found herself dreaming of him, reliving the memories of her first real romance.
As the night proceeded, it was clear that she was not used to sleeping with a partner; when she rolled over it wasn't subtle, and she stretched out more than once, only to touch him and be awakened. She felt a pang of guilt because she knew she had to be waking him up. She would find some way to make up for it, she promised herself. Lucky for him though--she didn't snore.

Through out the night he actually only woke up twice when she touched him during her movings around, after that he was quick to get used to it and soon stayed sound asleep for the rest of the night.

He woke up only when the alarm on his watch did the few series of beeps it was set to give at his usual time. . stretching he quickly reached over to turn the alarm off. leaving her to sleep for however long she wanted he slipped out of the bed and headed down the hall bare footed to get some breakfast cooked up , something simple, just the usual bacon and eggs with some fresh toast.

Scy heard the beeping of his watch. She smiled, thinking, Funny how I don't remember a watch on him last night.
She soon fell back asleep, only to wake up a little while later to the smell of bacon--which she hadn't had in a long time. She opened her eyes, sat up, and regained her bearings before grabbing her panties and her pants, and slipping into the bathroom. She emerged a bit later, showered and fully dressed, hair combed--again with his jade comb--and ready for the new day. She made her way into the kitchen, and smiled when she saw her lover at work. "Smells excellent."

(( lol technically his watch was in his pants, he never changed back so his wittle ears easily picked up the sound. ))

He glanced over at her at her words as well as her clean smell as he was busy putting bacon on a plate.. '' mmmm glad you think so, did you get a good sleep?"He hadn't changed back yet but he would before going to teach. '' i am making plenty of food ,considering i know i am a bit starved, figured you where too. '' he turned back around to finish piling the bacon back on to the plate before setting it aside and then worked on the eggs.. '' how do you like your eggs?"

"Oh, absolutely. Famished. I like them scrambled with cheese, green onions and protabella mushrooms, if you don't mind." he said, sitting down.
"Actually, yes I did. I had nice scents and soft breathing to lure me to sleep. You're the one I'm concerned about. I toss and turn so much I know I must have waken you up. Sorry... I'm just not used to sharing a bed. Got a bit spoiled to stretching out."

Arching a brow slightly at her list of what she liked in the eggs he went routing around in the fridge to get the stuff out.. '' your in luck.. just got a small amount of mushrooms left.. '' he went about dicing them up before mixing them in the eggs and tossed them in the frying pan..

'' no need to apologize, maybe next time you will like my bed.. alot larger and plenty of room to roll around in. . and you only woke me up twice.. then i got used to it.. '' smiled, as he looked over at her again before scrambling the eggs up around in the pan. leaving the cheese out for right now before the eggs where a bit done. when they where nearly finished he sprinkled some cheese ontop then stirred them around again to get it nice and melty before serving them on the plates.. '' foods done. hope you like. ''

She felt her cheeks warm when he mentioned his own bed, and she smiled slyly. So, he was talking about a next time. That was good.

"This is delicious. Really. Better than any damn cooking I can concoct, certainly. But I asked you a question last night, and you never answered. So, fox boy, I'm going to ask you again, now that you're not stiff as a board. What are you're plans on Friday. I want to start moving those treasures. The sooner they're moved, the sooner I'm freed of them."

he had just taken a bite of his food when she mentioned him not being stiff as a board this time, nearly choking on his bite he had to reach for some juice and wash it down before clearing his throat.. '' uhh well i do believe i responded to that already and you just didn't pay attention.. '' he grinned, leaning his hip against the counter again as he pushed his food around.. '' i am not doing anything and we can move them friday. .. just don't surprise me with another comment like that or your liable to kill me, death by choking, joy. ''

She chuckled. "Oh no, don't want to kill my boyfriend. Just got hooked up with him." she said, then tossed a couple extra slices of bacon from her plate to his. "My apologies, handsome. Alright, Friday's a date then; maybe while we're at it we'll do dinner and a movie. Do it proper. Even the Spirit Fox couldn't object to that, I think."

She ate contentedly. "There is something else I wanted to ask though; something not related to the treasures or whatever this is we've got going on between us." She took another bite, then stared at the table.
"...As I'm sure you know, I was raised by my mother. I have the fox blood of my father in me, but, I was never taught how to be a fox. I can't even do the most basic of fox magic; not even a foxfire. I need a teacher."

He grinned at her handsome comment, eying the bacon she just plopped on his plate, picking a slice up he took a bite as he listened to her talk. '' mmmm dinner and a movie. sure we can do that. been a while since i done that anyways.. mm think there are some good movies out that are playing. ''

he polished off the rest of his food before rinsing his plate off and downing his juice, pushing a glass full towards her as well. '' really? '' he was a bit shocked by her telling him of what she could and couldn't do. He thought for a moment, eying her over'' well i am pretty sure i can teach you a thing or two. ''

"No chick-flicks." she reassured him. "I despise them. I'm up for that new Nicholas Cage film, 'Season of the Witch' or whatever it's called. You?"

She took a few deep swallows of the juice--it was delicious. "Oh if you could I'd hugely appreciate it." she said, smiling at him. "I mean, hell, I don't even know how to jump the planes like you did yesterday. I wouldn't even know where to start; I was born in this world, not in the Makai, as I'm sure your brilliant mind has already deduced."

he grinned, '' yea and i was fortunate to have the experience of being born in both worlds. '' he mumbled lightly before smiling as she said something on no chick flicks.. '' ohh definitely not and season of the witch it is, i have been wanting to see that movie too. great minds think alike. ''

he watched her curiously '' well jumping the plains is a giant leap from learning foxfire, so i will teach you that way later on.. , we will start with the small stuff first, then work our way up . your a brilliant gal and i know you will be able to catch on pretty damn fast. ''

She blushed, then got up and took the empty plates and glasses to the sink. "Good then. And you will fine I am very quick learner when properly taught by a stimulating instructor. Learning the foxen ways has always been an ambition of mine, especially after what happened so long ago with that poor youth."
She proceeded to wash the breakfast dishes and clean up the kitchen accordingly. When she fried off the last plate and had put it away, she said, "it was nice to sleep last night and not be haunted by that old nightmare. Thank you for that."

he smiled'' i live to please. '' he moved in behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and lightly pressed a kiss to her neck. '' i need to get ready for work. and you , i think have class's. '' he reached up with one hand to push her hair aside and when he pulled his hand away a single rose was in it and he held it out to her. '' look at that.. you got roses in your hair. '' he teased, giving one last kiss to her neck and moved out of the room the moment she took the rose.

'' we can start your training after we move those items. best to get them secured before we relax. '' he took on his human form easily and was already pulling his clean clothing on.

She closed her eyes and shivered when he kissed her neck, and she was quickly growimg to love the feel of his arms around her waist.
And when he presented her with the rose, her scalp tingling from his touch, she betrayed herself and actually softly gasped. She could tell by looking at it, its sheer perfection, that it was not a normal rose, but definately one grown under a fox's enegy and one that certainly not die in three days, like most roses did.
"Uuuuh, yeah, I have class this afternoon, yes." she said, for lack of a more remarkable comment. As she turned and watched him walk away, her mind was racing.
Ooh she definately had to be careful, or she certainly would fall in love with him. Trusting her body and her treasues to him was one thing, but trusting her heart to him.... was likely not a good idea.

he loved the fact that he just made her a little speechless, running his fingers through his hair and combed it out before tying it back to keep it out of his face. '' well that sounds like fun. mmmmm so how are we going to move these items? i am sure they got a bit of ... curses of their own on them that might go off if handled wrong. '' he went to the fridge and pulled out a lunch box. not really wanting to go out and eat for lunch today so figured he would make a quick lunch. '' want something to bring for lunch?"

It took her a moment to catch her breath again, and she coyly covered that moment by pulling her hair back and tucking the rose into it, the gorgeous bloom just abover her righthand ear.
"Aye, some of them do. But the Egyptians based thier curses on direct skin contact. Cover them up with clean cloth will work just fine. There is however, one item I'm going to keep for myself, and the lesser items with no magic in them can stay in the bowels of the temple. I do still need an income, after all."
She watched him, now as Shuichi, and smiled. His demon form was definately more alluring, but this one was pleasing as well.
"Who are you, my daddy?" she teased. "I appreciate the thought, but no thank you. I have oryx meat stored in the fridge at hime."

he grinned'' no no , just me trying to be nice, and i know how much you loved my cooking'' he quickly got his lunch ready to go before looking to her again.. '' hmm true.. alright i think we can handle that. and i got plenty of room for major items.. ''

when she spoke of the item she was keeping for herself he grew curious.. '' what item is that? '' oh he figured it would be something mysterious just like her, a unique item she couldn't bare to be without. He was also going to start planning a little trip back to her home, no need to put off facing her fears when it was best to get it done and over with.

She chuckled, sitting down backwards in her chair, legs crossed in a ladylike way, her arms folded over the back of it and her chin resting upon them, watching him as he moved. Even in his work garb, he never failed to impress.
"So.... away from class.... What shall I call you? A boyfriend? An affair? Oh, puzzles, puzzles. I think a boyfriend or a beau would be appropriate, since much to my disdain I doubt you'll let this little fling continue for too, too long." She winked at him, voiceing the thoughts that had been bothering her all morning. "I can trust my body to you, that's certainly been proven, but a wise woman never trusts her heart to something that is likely too good to be true."
She watched him, her lovely emerald eyes sparkling. "And as for the item I want to keep, it's a special spear, with mechanically retracting blades--one for stabbing on one end, and the other end has one for slicing. it's easy to carry concealed, and due to the nature of its magical properties, blessed by a priest of Sobek, it serves as an excellent channel for my spirit energy--seeing as ice is water based."
She got up then, kissed his cheek as she stood beside him, and got a drink of water from the spigot with one of the glasses she'd just washed. "It was specially made for me and presented to me personally by the Pharaoh Khufu. As such it has sentimental and of course practical value for me."

he listened to her silently , smiling a little when she kissed his cheek before getting some water before continuing, he was already thinking of what she had said earlier about him not staying with her long, sighing he leaned against the counter. well bloody hell why did she have to bring that up now?

he glanced at her again before shrugging'' heh you can call me your boyfriend or not, really it don't matter considering i don't give a crap what other people think outside of the class room . its really none of their business.. just as long as you and me know what it is , is what matters.. now as for me staying around long.. we will deal with that when and if it comes to it. .. i am not promising you anything. '' he frowned before sighing. '' i do promise you not to just up and disappear before saying anything, i know what those items mean to you and that spear you just mentioned as well. . its interesting. .. '' moving over to stand in front of her he took the glass from her hand and set it on the counter before placing both of his hands on her cheeks and lightly kissed her.. '' do not worry so much. you will give yourself a migraine. and unwanted heartache.

Her eyes flicked down to the floor when he mentioned not promising anything. She'd expected no less. Then her eyes came back up and she locked gazes with him, then kissed him back, nuzzling his chin.
"Alright then. I won't make any promises either. Just... Don't be too, too nice to me, alright? I don't want to fall in love with someone and get broken again. I don't think I can handle that. Now.... I'm sure you need to get going, so how about we go and then discuss this later? I apologize for bringing it up so early."

he relaxed a little, not too much but just a little as he lightly ruffled her hair.. '' being nice is just who i am. . but i will try and not be too nice . i guess.. it will be hard. and yes your right, we need to go , come on then. '' grabbing his bags he pulled her close and grinned. nipping her ear lightly '' ready for that time jump? it will be quicker this time , so try not to get sick please''

She smiled, even giggle when he nipped her ear, then held tightly to him. "I thought we'd gone over this. Heat, exhaustion, motion... it's not easy to get me sick, Kurama. Now, I have an essay to start, so let's go."

he laughed as he wrapped his arms around her. '' uh huh, though i know a sure fire way to make you sick.. but definitely not doing that to you .. '' he teased, relaxing and trying not to laugh as she told him that she had an essay to write. closing his eyes he relaxed and easily made the quick few jumps it took to get back to where they had been, once it was done he released her and stretched. '' alright then, off with you to that essay and off with me to my class's. ''

She smiled, and then embraced him once more, giving him a deep kiss before begrudgingly letting him go. Control yourself, Scy. You're sleeping with your teacher. You need to play coy.
"Alright, have a good day then. I'll see you tomorrow in class."
