he grinned'' oh i know trust me i know. hmmm and i am glad you feel good, so how much learning did you do today?" smiled, laying back down with her as he watched him, hanging onto every word she spoke before he arched a brow'' hmmm what to do today huh.. well figured we could just relax and take a day off.. no classes. not planning, just .. plain ol relaxation. unless of course you got something else in mind? then by all means share the info and we can get started on it. " he slid his gaze over her but like she had spoke of before, he was a little exhausted which was why he had been relaxing. her randiness definitely got hi m tired out.

getting an idea he grinned" someone's in the area you might wanna meet.. Hiei.. you remember me mentioning him a while back? .. " he finally managed to track the turd down but found him none the less, he was grumpy as usual and always asking kurama why he does things.

She grinned. "no, not really I was hoping a brilliant mind such as yours could have thought of something. All the things I can think of are either exhaustive or mundane, but I don't feel just like lying here and roasting all day.
"As for what I've learned, well, let's just say it will be more fun that you are surprised, rather than me just telling you."
She studied him carefully as he spoke, then propped her elbow up, resting her chin upon her hand when he mentioned his old comrade, looking perplexed.
"Yeah, I remember you mentioning him. And he seems... an interesting fellow. You say he's in the area?"

he rolled over on his said and leaned up just like she had done. '' oh yes.. we could go and pester him a bit.. perhaps convince him to be a little test dummy for your abilities you have just learned?" he grinned, he highly doubted Hiei would be thrilled over that but hey , she needed to practice and he was eager to see just exactly what she had learned. after all he didn't watch her every second she was training. '' but its up to you .. we can go and do other things as well, just relax and enjoy ourselves, maybe take a swim somewhere and cool off so we are not... roasting as you say."

She put a wicked grin onto her features. "Sure it's safe to pester him? From the way you were talking before, he doesn't seem to take to such things kindly."
She plopped back down onto the sand then, stretching luxuriously, then sat up again. "Let's go have fun with the little hothead. I've been meaning to whip something."

He grinned'' oh he will be a little irked by it, but the guy needs to loosen up anyways. '' he watched her plopped down , so figured she didn't want to do anything and was getting ready to lay down again when she popped up . laughing he looked to her'' oh? .. whip something huh. alright then come on '' hopping up quickly he reached down to take her hands and pull her up." mind you this is the same guy that was on Koenma's most wanted list. .. well that was ages ago . now he is... sorta.. working for Koenma. heh whenever the little pacifier sucking thing is not getting pissed at him. "

She allowed herself to be pulled up before she dusted off. "You know, for a master thief who requires secrecy to be successful, my love, you're certainly loose-tongued. Good thing I'm a good one for keeping secrets, eh?"
She gave him a kiss then, and squeezed his hands. "Well, lead the way, stud. I'm intrigued now."

He grinned'' oh hun , i am still secretive, things i am telling you at not a top secret thing. trust me on this,. . '' watching her dust herself off he smiled and headed down the dune'' well he is in the city as usual... he likes to hide so come on , its going to be hard to find him but i have a hunch on where he is at now. " turning to look up at her he grinned'' , trust me, though we have to be careful, he tends to be grumpy if he is found when he don't want to be found. " reaching up he took her hand and tugged her to follow.

Scy grinned, and followed him easily.
Scy wasn't sure what this Hiei character looked like, but nonetheless she kept her eyes peeled for anyone unusual, holding her husband's hand tightly the whole time.
She was getting a little discouraged by the time they reached the other side of town, where some livestock were kept.
"Did we miss him?" she asked.
And just about then, some chickens in the building next to them caught sight of thier natural predators, and began to cluck and squawk and jump all around, causing a royal ruckus and startling something out of the rafters and into the alley beside the building.
Upon closer inspection, Scy noticed that it was a person--a very... shirt, person. She raised an eyebrow.
With a growl, he sat up, rubbing his head. "Damn it... Startled by a bloody chicken."
Then he caught glimpse of Scy peering into the alley.
"And what the hell are you staring at?"

he frowned, fixing to answer her question when the chickens suddenly went and ran amok. he nearly ducked insinctively, considering he was a fox and chickens definitely didnt like him." gah bloody birds" grumbled, hearing the cursing from a familiar voice he glanced down the alley just as she did,then budted out laughing. " letting a lil ol chicky scare you hiei?"

Scy yipped when the chickens went a-flying, and then raised an eyebrow when he mentioned his friend's name.
"You're telling me that's Hiei? I was expecting someone, you know, taller."
Ignoring the vixen, Hiei addressed his comrade instead. "Who is this little friend of yours? Getting involved with a secret tryst while away from it all, I see."

Kurama laughed as he glanced to Scy'' yes thats him, oh hey now, don't let his short stature fool you, he is a fiesty one. " turning as his comrade addressed him he shrugged, the grin still firmly in place. " watch it Hiei. thats my mate your talking to, so atleast be a bit decent . "

stretching a little he swatted one of the chickens away from him who kept trying to peck at him as he went over to greet his old friend " hiding up in the rafters and playing invisible as always i see. .. lets see.. when was the last time you fell out of something?" he thought back before grinning " no, the first time you fell out of a tree when Botone or whoever blew that whistle. "

Now it was Hiei's turn to arch his brow.
"Your... mate? Since when do you stay with any female for more than a night, or to service her season? Doesn't seem like you at all."
He flicked his gaze over her form.
"Seems a little too scrawny anyway."
Scy scowled. "Want to say that to my face, hamster legs?"
"I would say it to your foot if I thought it changed anything."
"What?!"
With that, Scy changed forms and bounded after him, and showing that she was surprisingly fast. Hiei, of course, was always one for zipping here and there, and finally managed to get behind her.
But when she turned around to face him, the image of her vanished in a puff of foxfire and from behind Hiei she lunged out and seized his cloak in her jaws, growling deep in her throat.
".....Clever." he muttered, then wiggled out of the cloak until he stood on the ground again, in his pants and shirt.
"I see you've been teaching her some of your tricks, as well."

crossing his arms he grinned." ahh well normally i dont. but believe it or not there are things even i cant conteol... oi. watch it Hiei" he scowled at the scrawny comment, feeling his fur bristle a little but didnt get a chance to say anything else as scy retorted back a rather funny smartass comment bout his short legs which had him relaxing again until the two went chasing each other around. sighing he just followed them with his eyes as he leaned against the wall and waited for one of them to get bested by the other.

"Ugh, don't tell me you of all scoundrels have been marked." Hiei scoffed, then tried to flit away from the snarly vixen. Scy snorted at him, then with a graceful leap, made to land next to her love, when Hiei came back with another snide comment.
"So this is what you've been wasting your time on."
Scy glared at the newcomer, shifting back into her womanly form.
"Yeah, finding a little squirt like you."
"At least I know how to charm someone without flashing skin."
Now Scy narrowed her eyes, dangerously, and growled.
"Charm this, bitch."
And with that and a flick of her wrist, Scy revealed one of the tricks she'd observed her husband performing, and produced a seed that grew into a rose that she transformed into a rather familiar looking thorny whip, and lashed it out at him. Granted she was nowhere near Kurama's caliber with the weapon, but she was lucky enough to catch Hiei of guard, and not only managed to get the lash around him but to crack the weapon, brought the speedy fire demob to her feet, face-first in the sand and stone.
"friendly banter is one thing, but don't insult my morality. You'll find that the consequences are rather painful."

Kurama shrugged'' its not as bad as you think it is actually , i very much enjoy it. '' once again he had to frown at the snide remarks Hiei was spitting at Scy, but to his great surprise and pleasure, Scy managed to perform a move that had taken him a while to learn and perfect himself., He watched in stunned silence as she yanked Hiei face first in the dirt and pretty much made him into her little whipping boy at the moment.

He had trouble keeping the laugh from bubbling up , covering his mouth he cleared his throat several times, giving him a chance to push the urge to laugh away. . Once it was gone he knelt down and poked Hiei. '' now see what you did? , you got her all pissed off, luckily she is not taking it out on me, . '' he grinned, flicking his ears slighly as he looked up at Scy'' you have been practicing things i didn't about.. tisk tisk shouldn't keep things from me like this.. considering some of my skills can definitely backfire on a novice without a proper teacher. '' he glanced at Hiei, then the whip, then back at her before reaching out to test the whip.. '' mmm i will give you an A for it anyways. speed we need to work on but your finishing touch... well that was just hilarious to watch . "

Looking back down at Hiei, he couldn't help but comment. '' you know.. for someone you say is scrawny and apparently not up to your standards, she sure as hell made you eat dirt. .. hows it feel to be bested by a woman?" my woman to be exact, but i won't say that outloud. he definitely felt a bit of pride at knowing she was learning some of his skills extremely fast.

Scy couldn't help but blush considerably upon her love's praise. "Just... eager to learn, love. And defending my honor."
Hiei lifted himself from the ground with a groan and a cough.
"...Dusty And she hasn't bested me yet. Perhaps in the ring next time."
"Oh, quit whining, munchkin." Scy said, still flushed and reaching for her husband. "Now that we've become acquainted perhaps we might be able to tolerate each other now."
"Perhaps, but I'll need to think it over."
He stood up, dusted off, and licked a couple of cuts Scy's whip had given him. He found his cloak, cracked it, and scowled. "Clearly black is not the ideal color for this God-forsaken desert."
Scy laughed then. "Of course not. The only thing black's good for is putting it over windows." Then she wondered something.
"So what's a demon like you doing in the rafters of a chicken coop?"
He hesitated, then replied, "I was hungry."
Scy looked up then to see the chickens' keeper on his way over, better late than never, and immediately switched to sign language.
Her first message was to her husband. "Let's bring him along for dinner. I have a feeling there's more to this dry and sadistic little man than he lets on."
Then she signaled the both of them to make themselves scarce. And, like a true fox, with the birds' keeper just outside the coop, she slipped in, made off with two of the squawking chickens and joined them as they made thier getaway.

he frowned as Hiei confessed to being hungry hence, why he had been in the coop.. '' geez. didn't think you went for crispy chicken legs'' grinned, glancing to scy as she switched to signing before waiting as she slipped in , stole a few birds then took off, he of course followed with Hiei, considering he was about to get an easy meal anyways so he figured Hiei would just come along for the hell of it.

Once out of ear shot of the keeper he slowed his pace and eyed scy then Hiei'' you two have got to learn to get along heh.. either that or i am going to have fun watching the two of you get down and dusty from all the tiffs you will get into. ''

Hiei scoffed at the crispy legs comment, but didn't say anything. He disliked being ordered around, but he really didn't feel like being bothered by some human chicken keeper. And so he followed his comrade into the silence of the alleys, and came to a stop when the fox did, as the female caught up with them a moment later, the two chickens' necks wrung.
"A pity to have to kill them so soon, but they were making an awful ruckus."
She held the birds by thier feet in one hand, then held her mate's with the other.
"Let's go then, before the sun gets to our dinner. Would you like to join us, Hiei? He is right, after all. We do need to get along."
"...Well I suppose I have little choice." Then he smirked darkly. "Sure you trust me to know where you live? Not that you'd be able to hide from me anyway."

he arched a brow as he watched her come up with the now silenced chickens'' oi , chicken thief.. trying to get us shot at?" grinned, poking her slightly as he took her hand'' sheesh , what am i going to do with you? '' he eyed the chickens a little before shrugging'' could make some sort of Chicken dish.. maybe grill em or something. ''

looking over to Hiei he rolled his eyes'' you may be able to find her place without her help but i suggest you behave.. her place has a bit of uhh... lets just say the place has a life of its own. " and curses that will make everything on you turn pink. he grinned, though he didn't know of any such curse yet, but having things on Hiei go pink would just be a cruel thing to him., he would have said that his place was another thing he hadn't found yet but he didn't want to push it.

Scy shot him a foxy evil smirk, then said, "Oh, I don't know, thank me, love me, and maybe later, even pleasure me..." she flicked her green gaze to Hiei. "...when we're alone."
It was Hiei's turn to roll his eyes as Scy made that statement. Kurama... mated? A scary of unheard of proposition. Of course, it was bound to happen, considering how well he charms the opposite sex. he thought. but nonetheless she seems able to handle herself well enough.
He also smirked at the last few comments Kurama made.
"Well, as we know little can hide from the Jagan. But perhaps we can get going."

he laughed , trying not to be a little embarrassed as she spoke of him taking care of her needs later after Hiei left, . shaking his head he headed back to where they where living'' yea yea, we are going.. and of coruse nothing can hide fromt hat third thing of yours. but.... nah , i will leave it alone. " he nudged Scy lightly ' and you miss. behave. like Hiei wants to know about you doing the romp romp around anything " his turn to embarras her now if he could. '' by the way HIei.. how long did you plan on staying in this area?"

Scy smiled at him, and blushed a little at his romp reference. She nudged him back, then held his hand all the way home.
Hiei noted this and scowled. This was going to take some getting used to.

Once home, Scy was quick to take the boys up to the third floor, and show them--Hiei with reluctance--the secret, uncut passageway that opened onto the plateau above her temple. Here she was quick to strike up a fire in the large pit up there, and soon she had the chickens' heads and feet removed and tossed away to the buzzards on the far side, where a collection of unused chicken bones and the bones of assorted other creatures could be found. It was a depository she'd built up over time. "When I find a use for the bones, I just come up here and scavenge. The rest are committed to the desert and the buzzards, and other creatures that use them." she had explained. And truthfully, desert shrubbery flourished on the organic waste.
When she had returned to the fire pit, Hiei sitting there in brooding silence, she brought up a big pot, full of water, and set it upon the large iron grate. She dropped the chickens inside it, waiting for thier feathers to boil off.
While they waited, she washed up then returned to sit with her husband.
"And the feathers can be strained out, dried, and used for stuffing in our pillows."

he frowned before shrugging as he sat down and just watched her get to work on the chickens'' wow very resourcefull hun. .. mmm though i wonder what will happen if you get too many feathers in your stock? . " he was curious to ask that as he thought of things to do for her bone pile collection, he knew many things could be made from them. bone knives for one. could make weapons, that and some people just liked to use them for decoration's.. like chairs and such. which he thought was a little weird but hey , people have their tastes and he had his. Sliding his arm around her as she came back from washing up he smiled. '' alright so any idea's on what to do with the meat?"

Scy blushed at the compliment, and Hiei scoffed, looking off away from them and to the west, where the desert sun was beginning to set.
Scy took advantage of this and gave her husband an affectionate kiss. "If there's too many feathers, I just store them until I do need them. usually I'll make some things to sell with them if I get too many."
She pulled the featherless chickens out soon enough, then proceeded to butcher them with an extremely sharp bone knife--bone knives didn't dull nearly as easy as metal. In fact, if well oiled, they could compete with ceramic blades in that department.'
Then she threw them right down on the iron grate, and oh did they sizzle.
She washed her hands in the second bucket she'd brought up and heated before heading down to gather sauces and spices, returning quickly and applying them to the dinner.
"This answer your question, King of Thieves?" she teased, then went to sit with him again.
"...Well at least you have someone to cook for you now. Let's face it, yours isn't the best."
"His cooking's great, my three-eyed friend. Better than mine, actually. Sorry it isn't raw human flesh, but I hope it's satisfactory."
"...Well if his is better than yours forgive me when I say that it doesn't inspire much confidence."

returning her kiss with one of his own he grinned as he watched her work. even took in a deep breath of the meat cooking.before grinning'' yea yea it answers my question. good ol fashion bbqed chicken. mmm haven't had that in a while." he gave a snort at Hiei's comment. '' oi , my cooking is very good thank you very much , not my fault you got funky tastes'' he teased. just lounging back in the chair and relaxed, rolling his eyes as the two bickered all over again , it was very amusing to watch however.

" you know. if you just actually tried some of my food , you wouldn't be complaining.. i mean seriousyl . Kuwabara and yusuke can't stay away from the stuff i make., oi and thats bordering on insult. i would watch it or she will throw you in a pot of hot water."
