[Rose for the Hunter]

The 18 year old girl pulled the hair band from her long auburn hair and glanced around once more before she gave a light sigh and searched the draws for her bed clothes and pulling them out she pulled her current clothes off her slender form and slipped into the shorts and top which seemed a little small for her now. “I really need to get a new one” she muttered to herself. She lifted an ivory skin hand up to move bits of her hair away from her face before looking outside the window “One of these days I’m going to find out where he goes each and every night” she promised herself and then laughed weakly and just pulled the curtains close.

She stayed up for quite a while thinking to herself. They had been together for quite a while now, for how long she didn’t know but it felt as though he’d been there with her forever although in reality it had been around a year and had only recently picked up on him leaving each night. They had met a while back, introduced through her brother who had passed away recently when he took a detour and they ran into him and pretty soon her and her brother’s friends kept inviting both of them along since they used to get on so well.

She soon drifted off into a deep sleep. She wondered if she’d wake up alone or with him there. It was a question she asked herself each night in her sleep. Her slender fingers gripping some of the blanket as she slept curled up a little.

Tenshi walked out of her room wearing a pair of black torn jeans and a scruffy white shirt “Revelation!” she called looking around for him, she soon caught him and crossed her arms over her chest knowing that look of his, he was had been back for a little while but not long. “Hey, where were you last night?” she asked curious in a sense but it did worry her a little, he had been going out every night from since she could remember and he never came out with her if she wanted to go at night only ever during the day and even that was rare.
Tenshi simply waited for his answer looking to him with her grey-blue eyes full of both the determination to get an answer but also curiosity as she waited. “Are you going to answer me?” she asked him.

Revelation shocked even himself sometimes, thinking back over all of the things that had happened in the last few years of his life always made him shiver. This night the cocking of the pistol was slow and the sound pierced his ears just before the bullet pierced flesh and the body of his target hit the ground. He let out an audible sigh as he looked up at the moon, covered briefly as a dark cloud drifted in front of it. His pink hues closed for a moment and he took one deep breath the cold air of the night entering through his nose and leaving through his mouth. He opened his eyes jumping down to where the dead body lay on the ground. This night hadn’t been long and now he had to go back to the life that he didn’t deserve.

After bringing the body to the drop off point and collecting his money he made his way to where he and Tenshi were currently living together though he truly didn’t want to keep this arrangement the way it was. It was way too dangerous for her to be living with him, it was too dangerous for her to be anywhere near him and it took all of the power in himself to keep from completely shunning her from his life. He stepped into the house and was quick to hide his belt of weapons in their usual space and put his long jacket up in the closet.

He stepped into the living room and looked out the large window at the dark peaceful sky, it would be dawn within the next hour. He really had done quite well today though he got a total of two kills today and had made $50 000 though he never made it painfully obvious that he had this money, his attitude always made it come off as though he had just enough, but with his obsession with money this wasn’t very strange, he could never have enough money.

His name was called almost sharply from the other side of the room and if he weren’t himself he would have jumped; but, of course, he was himself so he found himself barely acknowledging the sharp tone. He just turned slowly and looked at the beautiful young woman who had spoken. Only in the past couple weeks or so had she started asking where he was at night but he kept up his wall, he wasn’t about to pull her into his horrible world. He looked back out the window; apparently he had been wrong the sun was already starting to spread rays of red and purple across the horizon.

He turned and walked towards her. He stopped a few inches from her though looking down at her and letting out a sigh, “I was out. I couldn’t sleep and I didn’t want to wake you up. I am sorry.” He said lifting one hand still cold from the chilled air of late autumn, and rested it against her neck caressing her cheek, running his thumb across her skin. He forced a small smile, a nearly microscopic upturn at the corner of his mouth and tried to usher all the sharpness out of his eyes. “Please don’t worry about it. Why don’t you go and get a little more sleep, I’ll make breakfast and coffee, alright?” He offered hoping she would drop it but unable to stay confident about that.

Tenshi looked up to him noticing a slight sharpness in his eyes her arms still crossed over her chest. She had heard this excuse many times and others as well. “Shesh, don’t worry me like that, I’ll end up having a heart attack” she said hiding the fact she had a feeling he was hiding something very well. She shivered a little “Your freezing, how long were you out there?” she said moving a hand to rest on his. Her warm skin instantly feeling his coldness and looked to him “Wear gloves next time, what do you think they are for?” she said.

Tenshi had a rather playful personality but tended to pick up on details over a certain amount of time which some people found rather worrying, as well as her ability to piece things together if she had enough things to go by, she also had a dangerous amount of curiosity which never did go down well with most and contrasted with Revelation.

She saw the microscopic forced smile but didn’t say a word until he offered to make breakfast and coffee but didn’t like getting told to go back and sleep a little more “No thanks, I have college later anyway so I won’t get much sleep in but I’ll take up that offer of you making breakfast and coffee,actually maybe not the coffee” she said laughing a little before moving a hand and tucking back a stray piece of her auburn hair.
After a bit she went and got what she needed normally leaving it in her bag when it wasn’t scattered out on the floor making that area of the room pretty much unusable until she had finished her work. Her parents paid for her to go to college at least and constantly worried as well.

She found a few of her scattered notes and gathered them up before sitting at the table as she stuffed the papers in their folder and tried to think of anything else she needed to do before hand and waiting for her breakfast and coffee as well since he had offered she had quickly learned to take any offers. She then remembered what she had said and stood up quickly and pulled two mugs from the cupboard "You want one?" she asked

Revelation didn’t say anything when she asked how long he had been out since he didn’t really know and he didn’t really want to worry her with any estimate he could come up with anyways, though he did note that maybe glove were a little more necessary now as the weather started to cool more and more. She was so warm so it was a little hard to pull away from her wanting to cling to the warmth while it was available to him.

He nodded slowly crossing his arms as she said she wasn’t going to go back to sleep, he didn’t mind, and he knew he would have ended up making breakfast for the two of them anyways. He could feel his hunger gnawing at his stomach and he figured he may as well pick up his pace. He smiled again, a little more sincere this time as he turned as walked into the kitchen. He pulled the ribbon out of his pocket and tied his silver/white hair up; his bangs stubbornly fell back in front of his face though, but he had gotten so used to looking through the small curtain of silver that he didn’t mind at all as he began to pull things out of cupboards. Being the rather materialistic man he was he was very picky about getting things dirty so the black apron he tied around himself was completely necessary.

Being hungry and needing his meet he decided bacon, scrambled eggs and toast would be a decent enough breakfast, nothing fancy just something satisfying. Tenshi walked in while he was busy cooking and he looked over at her only for a moment as he asked him if he wanted come coffee, “Mhm.” Was his wordy answer. He pulled plates out of the cupboard above his head and set them out his eyes darting over everything he had out at the moment. A couple minutes more he decided it would take.

He dried the grease off of the bacon and divvied it up between the two plates next to the eggs as the toaster dinged with the finished toast; they joined the rest of the food on the plates and he picked the two plates up with agile hands moving them to the small dining room table that the two of them had, “Done.” He stated simply, “When are you going to be home today?” He asked turning to look at Tenshi his face back to its stoic frown.

She laughed a little as he tried tying his hair up “Maybe you should just cut the bangs back” she suggested as she made the coffee for them both smiling a little and had to search around for where a few things were and then made them both a mug of coffee after his wordy answer. Tenshi was very particular on getting messy since she was studying art anyway so the odd bit of mess didn’t bother her too much.
She walked through with the coffee just before and looked up when he said ‘done’ “Good I’m starving and by the looks of you I’m guessing you are as well” she said sipping her coffee leaning back in her chair.

She looked to him with his usual stoic frown “You’re going to get wrinkles quicker if you frown all the time” she said “and I’ll be back around 1 pm today, possibly 12 pm if I’m lucky and the teacher lets us out on time although that is rare” she said thinking a little.
“I have a while before I have to get there so I can eat, check over my work and other things as well” she said taking a bite from the toast after she finished speaking smiling a little to herself thinking through things she soon started to space out but shook her head snapping back into reality and then decided to put the egg on her toast and eat it like that soon finishing most of her meal.

After she finished she leaned over and pecked his cheek as a thanks "thanks for making breakfast Revelation" she said smiling softly and sweetly at him.

Revelation merely scoffed at the comment of getting rid of his bangs he enjoyed his hair the way it was and he didn’t think he could part with it just like that. He sat down at the table with his coffee not adding anything to the dark-brown liquid; he liked the bitterness of black coffee. He was usually very quiet but he wasn’t worried about it bothering Tenshi, she knew how quiet how was, how much he didn’t like to share details about himself or his past. It wasn’t like that meant he wasn’t good for conversations.

He could have let out a small laugh as she said he would get wrinkles early in life if he kept frowning but he ended up just frowning deeper letting his brows furrow together as well. “I’ll keep that in mind.” He said rolling his eyes since wrinkles later in life was one thing he could honestly say he wasn’t worried about. He began to eat at a none to rushed pace as Tenshi told him when she would be getting home, he nodded slowly at the answer. “Alright…” he said trying to think for a moment about what else to say though she seemed to disappear into her thoughts.

He too wandered off into thought and the room turned quiet as the two of them ate. He was brought back to reality when Tenshi kissed his cheek, “It’s not a problem.” He said turning back to his own nearly empty plate finishing his own food in the next couple moments. He washed his plates in the sink, leaving them there as he brought his still full coffee into the living room sitting down and opening up a magazine that had been sitting on the coffee table in front of him, not noticing that his very fat wallet had slipped out of his pocket on his way from the table. He was pretty sure Tenshi thought he worked though he had to be honest he had never really come up with a full plan to explain that one he was often inside during the day and he only ever did paperwork sometimes and even then was very secretive about it, he didn’t go to school and he never planned on it but he wasn’t going to ask what she thought he did during the day to make money.

Tenshi followed soon after drinking half her coffee which was rather sweet considering. She washed her plates and then let them soak a little leaning against the counter and then pulled them out putting them on the drying rack beside the sink. She noticed his wallet had fallen out and picked it up and walked up behind him and dangled it in front of him “Be more careful with your stuff” she said noticing it seemed rather full which was a little odd(how strange) she thought having noticed there was a lot of money in it but didn’t mention it.
She let it drop onto his lap and looked over his shoulder at what he was reading out of curiosity once more.

“Hey what do you do during the day anyway?” she asked crossing her arms behind his head looking down to him as she waited for an answer seeing if he would tell her. She did think he did some kind of work to earn money. That she was sure of.
She soon sat herself down and skim read over her work to check it over before she put it away and by that time she was running late. “Ah, I’m going to be late” she said “See ya later then” she said rushing out the door grabbing her bag on the way.

Getting there just in time she sighed relieved “Shesh, why do I always end up nearly late” she muttered and got into class. Being let out late for each class she knew she would be home later than she said she would be and gave a light sigh. “Honestly, they need set times for these lessons” she muttered. She walked out in the afternoon with a few charcoal smudges on her cheek and tried to wipe them off. “You really get into your art, Tenshi… literally” laughed one of them “Oh stop it, it’s worth it in the end though” she muttered

Revelation tensed slightly as his wallet was dropped into his lap silently cursing himself for dropping it, he really did let his guard down far too much inside this house. “Right…” was all he said to it though not wanting to say anything else. He was currently reading an article about the body of a fourteen year old girl that was found it… various places around a city neighbouring their own. It was quite gruesome and it even disgusted Revelation that he knew who the murderer was, in fact he knew the murderer on a first name basis… and said murderer paid him very, very well… so he wasn’t about to go and rat him out to the police. It was sad that he knew more about this story than the cops and the person who wrote the article, maybe he should think about writing pieces for articles like this since he often knew about these incidents first hand.

Tenshi asked when he did during the day and he was silent acting as though he hadn’t heard her despite how close to his ear she was, she eventually disappeared into the house and left him alone. He picked up his wallet looking it over for a second before sliding it into his pocket again with a small sigh. Tenshi rushed by to get out the door and he just said a single syllable “bye” as she left the house.

When she was gone he picked himself up off the couch and went into his own little office in the house booting up his computer and putting his phone on the desk beside the keyboard. He often got requests while he was out for the night. Today was no different; there was one with a very quick deadline. He frowned before sending an e-mail back stating the price and that he would be doing it. This computer was filled with things he could never let Tenshi see as was his phone and he knew he would probably get violently angry if he saw her using it.

In the past while there had been a person who had been getting to his targets before he did and killing them, taking his money. This worried him, despite everything, and he had a feeling the man was subtly targeting Revelation himself and he worried that if they found out where he lived that Tenshi would be in danger, another reason why he didn’t want to live with her and he would like to just disappear. He leaned back and looked up at the ceiling letting his hair out of its tie letting it brush the back of his neck he didn’t know what he was going to do to keep himself busy today.

He eventually decided that getting the sleep he hadn’t been getting would be a good start. He sighed as he closed everything down in his office making sure everything was away before walking into the bedroom pulling off his shirt he looked at his incredibly pale, scar-ridden chest before slipping out of his pants and pulling on a rather baggy pair of sweatpants and slipping into the bed letting himself drift off knowing that Tenshi would probably wake him up when she got back.

Tenshi really hated it when he did the silent act and pretended to ignore her sticking her tongue out at him before she left. Her friends dragged her to town for a little bit talking to each other about different things “How are things going Tenshi anyway?” “Not too bad what about you, I haven’t seen you for a while?” “Well everything’s fine did you hear about the murder?” she asked Tenshi “No, but I read about it this morning in the newspaper” she said nodding a little.

She headed back taking a shortcut and got home at nearly 2pm locking the door behind her and put her bag down in its usual spot before she got herself a glass of water and leaned against the counter listening to the silence momentarily looking towards his office door tempted to go and look inside as always but refused to having a feeling he’d get very angry if she did.
She walked into the bedroom and looked to him “Shesh so you sleep all day, you’re becoming nocturnal” she said to herself and sat on the bed “Hey, I’m back” she said softly moving bits of his hair from his face with gentle touches.

She looked to him “Hey sleepyhead” she said laughing a little looking down to him with a light smile moving her hand away a little the odd bit of charcol still on her face and she tried wiping it away btu just gave up eventually "How's your day been?" she asked

The touches to Revelation hair were almost completely unnoticed not until Tenshi spoke did he at all stir. He let out a small disgruntled sigh his brows drawing together as his pink/red eyes cracked open. “Welcome back.” He muttered in a groggy voice, hardly awake. He groaned slightly as he pushed himself up slightly scratching his bare chest just below his collarbone and pushing his hair out of his face with the other hand. “It’s been… quiet…” he said not able to come up with a better word for it. “And how was your day?” he asked slowly coming back to his senses, his thoughts slowly become more cognitive. He really wouldn’t be opposed to getting another couple hours of shut eye and looking over at the clock he definitely still had the time but maybe it wasn’t a good idea to sleep all day. He waited for a response from Tenshi keeping his eyes on hers.

“Great, I managed to finish my charcoal drawing” she said smiling “and I’m guessing it was if you were sleeping all day mister” she said seeing him a little groggy made her smile and laughed a little as well not able to help it “Aww so cute~” she said laughing a little and helped him move the bits of hair from his eyes. “Guessing you slept well at least, you were like a log when I came in”

“Want anything for dinner, I’m thinking of curry” she said her thoughts drifting again for only a few seconds before shaking her head and re-tying her hair up in a ponytail which rested half way down her back still sitting on the bed looking at him as she waited for an answer from him.

Her gaze soon turned to outside thinking she saw something she stood up and walked towards it “Hmm, must’ve just been my imagination” she said softly before sitting back down thinking shaking her head a little “On second thought, I’ll make dinner later I’m going to have a nap as well” she said holding her head and stood up so she could go change.

He couldn’t help but frown when she said he was cute, that was not something he was used to and definitely not something he would ever agree with, there was no way someone like him could ever be deemed ‘cute’, he didn’t think it was at all possible. He just shook his head which made his hair all fall back in front of his eyes not that he minded at all, he was very used to having his hair in front of his eyes since he had had it this way since he was very young.

“Anything sounds fine…” he said when Tenshi brought up dinner though it wasn’t really top priority to him right now. He was a little bit amused though when she decided she was going to come back to bed with him. He let himself fall onto his back again staring up at the ceiling. “Alright…” he said closing his eyes again making sure there was enough room for Tenshi to join him in the bed. He didn’t let himself drift off again knowing that he would wait for her to fall asleep before he did. He had hours left before he had to do anything so he was in no kind of hurry to actually get up.

“What did I say about frowning?” she said seeing him frowning once more picking up that he would never agree with it but oh well, that was what she thought and she wasn’t going to let anything change it. She soon finished changing and pulled the blanket over her after he had made enough room curling up a little as usual in order to sleep for a bit after she had taken her hair band from her hair bits of it falling over her shoulders and tucked a bit of it back behind her ear.

It wasn’t too long before her eyes slowly closed curling up a little more as she slept almost soundlessly with more bits of stray hair falling over her face once more. It was a good 2 hours before she woke up a little dazed and blinked a few times before she was fully awake and looked around before she got up and puled some other clothes on before she searched the kitchen for what they had and made a curry since it was both warm and usually tasted rather nice as well.

Finishing it up before she woke him up “Come on dinner…” she said tapping his shoulder to see if he would wake up and shook her head “Revelation wake up” she said sternly

Revelation, who had been frowning since before he could even remember, wasn’t about to change that fact just because Tenshi kept bothering him about it, instead he just shook his head slowly and ignored her words. He shifted slightly when she got into the bed next to him curling up as she did so, he looked at her once before closing his eyes and letting himself drift off to sleep again. He didn’t so much as shift when Tenshi got out of bed a couple hours later. He barely stirred as she tapped on his shoulder only forcing his eyes open when she spoke to him sternly. “Alright… one second then…” he said forcing himself into a sitting position he let out a sigh before pulling himself out of bed. He stepped into the bathroom which was adjoined to the bedroom. After emptying his bladder he washed his hands and face in the sink in another attempt to wake himself up. He looked up into the mirror his pale skin nearly as white as his hair, something that bothered him. He looked at his broad muscular chest which he had spent years getting as perfect as it was just to have it completely riddled with scars while he worked. Sighing he stepped out of the bathroom unable to look at himself in the mirror any longer.

He stepped into the living room stretching slightly before going and seating himself at the table where food was set out for him. Even inside it was a little chilly but being the stubborn man he was he wasn’t going to lead on to the fact that he was in fact a little bit tempted to go back and put a shirt on instead he began to eat, not saying a word, ever the talkative type. His mind did drift to the business he would be busying himself with that night though it shouldn’t be anything difficult, he figured when he was finished eating that he would check to see if there were any other requests.

“Do you have homework?” he found himself asking, trying to start a conversation, not looking away from his food.

She had just placed the food down and sucked one of her fingers since she had burnt it a little and gave a light frown at it as well before rubbing her hands on the trousers she had changed into. Tenshi ate silently as well getting lost in her thoughts once more before looking to him as he spoke snapping back into reality “Yeah, A bit not much though thank god…” she said with a bit of relief in her voice. Tenshi took another fork full of the curry thinking having a nagging feeling she was forgetting something. “Ah, that’s right…. I might be going out tonight with some of my friends” she said nodding a little to herself. It was a Friday after all so they usually went out Friday night so they could sleep in on the Saturday even if they got home late.

She leaned back in her chair a little thinking “Want to come with us?” she asked him just to see if he would come already knowing the answer to the question. Shaking her head a little dazed still she looked back over her shoulder to the window a frown suddenly taking the place of her smile. what was that? she said this time knowing for sure she had seen movement but turned back shaking her head with no longer a frown but not exactly a smile either just thinking and sipping her cold drink since she had made her curry a little too spicy this time.

Revelation nodded slowly as she said she only had a little bit of homework and he just nodded again when she was going to be going out with friends that night. “Alright you have fun; I think I’m going to pass on joining you.” He was never one for social gatherings anyways so even if he hadn’t had other arrangements he would have said no anyways. He looked down at his food the smallest of smiles forming at his lips, the food was good.

He noted movement outside the window but didn’t move at all just sticking the thought to the back of his mind whilst gauging how long it would take for him to get into the compartment in the front closet and have his pistol pressed to an intruders head. “Are you planning on staying out all night today?” He asked. He passed the movement outside as just a trick of the light or a movement caused by the wind there was no chance that there was someone outside; though his mind did drift to the assassin who was stealing all of his hits. He found himself rubbing at his arms slightly despite trying not to show how cold he was.

He looked over at the clock hung on the wall which said it was close to 5PM he still had a few hours to kill, he would have to think about doing some work this job of his had a surprising amount of paper work to get done which was very annoying. He would like to know when Tenshi was going to be leaving but he didn’t ask.

She nodded a little before finishing up and letting the plate soak first before finishing her drink leaning back against the counter deep in thought for a moment or two before chucking her glass in the water as well before putting them on the drying rack in order to dry after washing her plate. She walked through and saw him rubbing his arm and crossed hers once more over her chest “Honestly, if your cold put a shirt on, don’t be so stubborn” she said tapping his nose before pulling some papers from her bag and spreading them out around her on the floor in the usual space skim reading a few of the notes writing down as she did concentrating on that checking the clock every now and then and looked to him “guessing you liked the curry then, your smiling” she said smiling slightly as well.
“I’m leaving at around 7pm and this time I won’t be late and fair enough if you don’t want to come” she said simply still most concentrating on her work and soon had a break through easily finishing it off and beginning to sort out all the notes back into the correct order.

Tenshi lifted her head up “not again” she said standing up leaving several of her notes on the table and went to change into something a little more start tugging on some jeans and a top she quickly walked back through and put her notes away in her bag before tying her hair back up holding the hair band in her teeth while she sort it out quickly tying it out waving before she left. While she was heading to where she was meeting her friends she kept getting a feeling she was being watched which made her a little nervous and just met up with them. “Tenshi, you ok.. you seem a little nervous”
“Nothing, something is just bothering me” she said

Revelation rolled his eyes and let out a huff of a breath as he finished off his food and cleaned his own dishes not long after Tenshi. “Am I smiling?” He said quickly turning it into a frown, “Sorry, I guess I’m going to have to keep an eye on that. But yes the food was good, thank you.” He said with a small laugh shaking his head slowly. He walked into the bedroom and pulled a shirt out of the closet, being very particular about hanging his clothes up versus folding them. He pulled it over his head and adjusted it slightly before walking back out and seeing Tenshi working on her homework. He smiled again lightly before walking into his office and seating himself at his computer knowing that Tenshi wouldn’t bother him while he was working here.

The day started to fade as quickly as it had come and he had arranged yet another hit for that night not minding as much now that he knew Tenshi was going to be out for most of the night. The sun was below the horizon by 7PM and he decided now was a good a time as any to head out and get on with this. He pulled his long jacket with a thick hood out of the closet and threw it on, putting his weapon clad belt on underneath. He drew up the hood as he left the house locking everything up as he did. He took off at a sprint toward the location of his first target. He took to the rooftops quite used to free-running and doing parkour to where he needed to go.

He had to admit he was quite pleased to see his target was still alive and looking around he could see no sign of the other assassin who could be there to kill him. The other, from that he had seen, was a small thin woman with long curling dark hair and tan white skin; they used shining gold dual pistols that were easy to catch in the light from the moon even if the person themselves was not. Revelation didn’t have to worry about this though as he jumped down landing with a light sound for someone of his size standing up straight and slicing the victims throat in on movement. There was no screaming just a gurgling sound as blood spilled from the wound and the target’s mouth. He frowned watching as the life drained from the man’s eyes and he tied up the wound to keep it from bleeding too much as Revelation transported the body to the meeting point. One down one to go.

[Rose for the Hunter]

Tenshi and her friends didn’t come out of the night club until long past midnight she didn’t drink so was wide awake from some of the soft drinks. She didn’t like to spate from them but had to since they lived in the opposite direction. She blew her warm breath onto her hand and looked up and this time she was sure “It wasn’t just me, someone is defiantly there” she said and jerked turning swiftly when she heard a voice behind her. What on earth is going on?.

A tall man with shaggy black hair stood in front of her and every part of her was telling her to run for it with the belt of weapons around his waist. But then she stopped Why isn’t he talking? nothing is happening speaking up she looked to him “What is going on?” she asked bluntly and they whistled “straight to the point I see, you must be Tenshi?” She looked to them not speaking a word How does he know my name? wait… that doesn’t matter I should just get home she took a deep breath quietly “Sorry, but I need to head home” she said and calmly walked past “Why, no one will be there waiting Revelation is out again tonight”

She froze at that but didn’t respond turning again but he was gone. “What on earth is going on?” she muttered to herself and beginning to head back with a lot of questions.
When she got back she quickly picked up her notepad and recalled the details of the face she could see or remember but so many questions were beginning to come up in her head.

Revelation had to get quite a ways in the next while to get to his next hit, which was one of the drawback of being so picky with money having to count it then count it again when it was given to him. But this lag in time seemed to be just what the other assassin needed to beat him to the chase. As he arrived he noted the blood on the ground and looked up to the other assassin getting away with his kill. He growled slightly stepping forward hearing the sound of his boot hitting the blood. He looked down and curled his lip in disgust as he noticed that the blood was dripped on the ground in the shape of a heart and he noticed the bright white sheet of blood stained paper sitting in the centre of the pattern. He picked it up and read it:

‘Just so you know, I’m not the only one after that head of yours… though… I don’t want it so literally. You might want to check on your girly, Revelation, babe~ <3

The note said in a sharp yet loopy hand, his initial thought was to have the sheet analyzed and finally get to the bottom of who this person was but the lipstick mark in the corner made him never want to show this to anyone. He read it a couple more times and wondered if his leg was being pulled. Slight paranoia ended up getting to him though. He had to wonder what sort of assassin went out giving hints like this to other assassin’s. He growled as he took off in the other direction to get back home as quickly as possible. The house came into view and nothing seemed off so he slowed down taking his time to look around the house a little bit but he couldn’t find anything.

He took off his jacket and his belt before he walked inside. He put everything away in the closet, kicking off his dirty boots as well before walking into the house. “Tenshi? Are you here?” He said crumpling up the sheet of blood covered paper in his hand and shoving it in his pocket.

Redemption stopped on top of the building to watch Revelation as he picked up the note and looked around. Redemption felt a small throb at his heart as the albino man took off to go check on his girlfriend. Redemption sighed and laughed before standing up again hefting the body over his shoulder and taking off to go collect ‘Revelation’s’ money. Revelation didn’t remember who he was… hell as far as he was aware Revelation thought he was a woman. It didn’t matter though, he just couldn’t help but think he was way too nice for his own good. He just wanted to fuck with Revelation’s head but now there seemed to be another threat a little more troublesome.

Tenshi who had gone out once more had left a note behind so he didn’t get too worried, the dangerous curiosity that she held was taking over once more.

Just gone out to check on something I should be back in about 5 mins…

Tenshi

She walked back having taken her coat with her leaving just before he had arrived there she had left the drawing of the man on the table not quite finished but easily identifiable if anyone knew him at all. She turned briefly at one point seeing someone else standing on the top of a building. “Something is really wrong” she whispered stopping briefly it had been a while and kneeled down having found the blood heart “Strange blood doesn’t usually fall in this pattern…” she whispered and looked up getting that nagging feeling once more she turned
“Ah Tenshi, you appear again… my for an ‘angel’ you certainly love the darkness”

“Actually I have questions, how do you know my name?” she said that annoying determination to get answer appearing in her blue-grey eyes.
“Research, it’s quite easy if you ask the right people”
“Why though and how do you know Revelation?” she asked that was her main question
“I wonder if I should tell you or not now, that’s rather private don’t you think?” he said a smirk on his lips as he watched her stubbornness and determination but spotting the spark of curiosity decided he should take advantage.

“I’ll tell you somewhere more private… If you’ll let me” he said
She looked to him she had to think carefully but that feeling to run came over her once more but this time she didn’t “No, I’m fine here…” she said crossing her arms over her chest

Revelation let out a sigh when he found the note along with a drawing of a person who didn’t look very familiar, there was something about it that bothered him but he didn’t know the man in the drawing that he knew of. It was probably just a drawing; artists did that… just draw whatever came to mind. He ran his fingers through his hair and shook his head. He sat down on the couch and stared at the ceiling for a while trying to decide whether or not he should go after her. He decided to wait the five minutes she allotted for being gone, if she wasn’t back he would go looking for her. “Damn it…” he hissed, slamming his fist down on the table in front of him rattling everything on top of it. He picked up the picture she had left again, this was bothering him. He took it into his office and scanned it sending out an e-mail to all of the people he ever had contracts with asking if any of them knew him though he knew he wasn’t going to get an answer very quickly.

Instead of an e-mail he ended up getting a text a couple minutes after he sent out the picture. It was just two words and they bothered him, they bothered him a lot. ‘Be careful’ He shut the phone and left the house at that, even though he had no idea where he was supposed to be looking for her.

Redemption was on his way home walking through the streets like a normal person. He had on a long white fur trimmed jacket and had most of his hair tied up in a neat bun on the back of his head. His platform heeled boots tapped against the ground and he smiled a wonderful smile as he thought about how pretty he must be, and people passing by would have no idea that he was a man with how he was dressed and how much make-up he had on. He walked by the place where he had seen Revelation not that long ago and paused.

The girl was familiar he had seen her with Revelation on multiple occasion and he was tempted to just walk on by but the other man was familiar as well. He didn’t know why he was going to try and play the hero, maybe just to one up Revelation again, maybe it was something else he wasn’t completely sure anymore. He sighed to himself brushing a long piece of black hair behind his ear as he stepped forward he wrapped an arm around Tenshi’s and let out a loud cheer, “Tenshi! So good to see you! How are you?” he asked, speaking loudly in his very feminine voice hoping that his loudness would get his man to go away.

The man grimaced mostly in annoyance at the new presence, “What are you doing here” he hissed at Redemption looking to the girl who still demanded he answered her then and there. Tenshi looked to Redemption not really sure if he was a man or woman but guessed a woman after hearing the feminine voice. “What are you doing here?” she said knowing something just seemed very strange now. The man looked to them “Tenshi, I hope I get the chance to talk to you once more” he said with a smirk for a smile he vanished.

Once he had gone she freed her arm from Redemptions and looked to him “Who are you? Why does everyone seem to know my name?” she said “and don’t give me research like the other guy there has to be a reason, something is strange here” she said figuring out quickly that it was somewhat related to Revelation going out each night and not coming back until almost dawn.
She checked her watch it was already past five minutes but doubted he had even seen the message. “I should get back” she muttered to herself.But something is odd with this... people I don't knwo are randomly coming up to me and they all know Revelation, what is going on? Deep thought and curiosity mixed with fear showed in her emotion filled eyes.

The man who had vanished walked the streets in annoyance “So close, I could have lured him out easily if that stupid girl’s friend didn’t just appear, so noisy” he said not having noticed Tenshi’s obvious signs of not knowing who that other person was. He almost walked into Revelation and just passed without a single care as though he was a normal person heading home for the night which he was doing.

Redemption just glared at the other man and stuck his bottom lip out a little bit until he left. That guy was definitely bad news, he would have loved to warn Revelation about it but that didn’t seem like it was going to happen. When the other man disappeared he let go of Tenshi and crossed his arms over his chest. He smirked though when she asked how he knew her name, “I heard that guy say it.” He replied motioning with his chin to where the other had disappeared. “My name’s Gabrielle, sorry for interfering you just looked like you needed some help…” He said with a wink, it was completely normal for him to give this name out to people he didn’t know, he liked it when people thought he was a woman. “Was I wrong in assuming that?” He said rolling his eyes but he kept a smile on his face.

He sighed and looked around scratching the back of his head, “Well, I guess that’s it for me…” he said walking quickly to leave, “Knowing my luck Revey’s probably right around the corner…” he mumbled to himself. He turned and waved to Tenshi as he started off at a brisk pace down the sidewalk towards his apartment building on the other side of town, “Bye bye!” he called with a quick wave to Tenshi. She must be confused and a little scared, he would be if he were her at least.

Revelation walked down the street his trigger finger twitching keeping his eye out for Tenshi stopping in a few stores but eventually just continued on. He ended up near the place where he had picked up the note early and practically ran into Tenshi. He said her name quietly under his breath he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, “Are you alright? I was worried.” He said his face resting in the top of her head.

“No you weren’t” she said “Thank you…” she said shuffling a little “I should head back before someone gets worried “ she said completely confused , just trying to figure it out. What the other ‘woman’ had said made sense but thinking back the man had spoken so quietly but she didn’t dare to ask “Thank you once more Gabrielle” she said softly before ‘she’ left and waved a bye closing her eyes and just trying to calm herself a little before she decided she should really head back now but ended up almost running into Revelation.

“I-I’m fine… just a little confused is all….I didn’t think you’d even get home at this time let alone read my note” she said “Sorry, you know what I’m like with timing, I never get it quite right” she said a little sheepishly resting her head against him with her hands resting on him as well rather relived to see him. “Can we go home? It’s getting cold” she asked looking up at him after moving her head away from under his to wait for an answer. She was going to head back anyway giving a light sigh and raised her head to the sky as if expecting to see something but this time nothing appeared.

When they did get back she wondered where her drawing had gone as she got herself a glass of water “Do you know where my sketch went? It was unfinished” she said never liking to leave a piece of her work unfinished. She seemed more deep in thought than usual everything was bugging her and she wanted to ask questions but wasn't sure how to word them as she looked around for the drawing wondering where it had gone and scrumpled up her note chucking it "I'm sure I left it on the table" she muttered
