she blinked before smiling. " well thank you . " she teased as they made their way back to the camp and put the dishes back in their box to protect them from wondering animals. " well come along then. ohh " she dug around before picking up a bag that had raw deer meat in it. " we are going to need this.. don't worry your not gonna eat it. heh its for the animals we are going to go and see."

He looked over to her and then smiles following her and then cocking his head to the side..."Well then as long as it keeps them from eating us." He says with a chuckle as he walked with her.

she laughed softly as she headed up the trail, it wasn't a steep climb but enough to make someone who wasn't very active, a little tired by the end of it. " relax, she won't eat us... she will be too busy doing something else. " smiled as she kept her eyes open , glancing around for the den she was looking for." and as long as we don't get too close to the den we will be fine. you have me so no worries. "

He looked over to her. It was a good thing he was pretty active or he would have been wore out. He then looked over to her cocking his head to the side..."Ok now I'm curious." He says as he followed her.

she grinned, glancing at him before turning back to what she was doing, climbing over several large rocks before finding what she wanted. ' heres the perfect spot.. now come sit down next to me. " she shifted allittle, giving him plenty of room as she pointed to a large hole in the ground that was half covered by a fallen tree. ' thats a den.. heh, ever seen a big cat?"

He climbed up and then sat down close next to her..."In a zoo yah." He says with a smile as he then cocked his head to the side looking at the hole in the ground.

she smiled" well you get to see one up close.. this one is a leopard.. well a black one, you usually call them panthers.. " she glanced at him and smiled. " very rare here.. i been keeping an eye on her. , she had been pregnant a while back, it was about... five to six weeks ago. the cubs should be ready to come out.. " she eyed the den closely before smiling. " there look. " she pointed, watching as the large cat came out, sniffing around to make sure no danger was near before she called to her cubs, watching as the three little ones, slowly and cautiously climbed out, still stumbling around a bit as they did so. " they are cute yes?"

He looked to her and then watched the den seeing the cubs stumble out..."Yes they are." He says with a smile as he put his arm around her.."So with the meat I'm guessing your gonna feed her?" He asks her with a smile.

she grinned and looked up at him before shrugging. " just watch, the cubs are old enough to have alittle raw meat.. its actually around the time where the mother starts bringing them chunks of meat. to chew on. " smiling she eyed the mother panther who spotted her and him, ears perked she slowly moved foward, mouth open as her nose twitched. " relax, she is just getting our scents.. only time you should run is if she eyes you like food. "

He looked to her and then to the mother..."Yeah how can you tell if shes eyeing you like food?" He questioned as he felt his heart beat pick up. "She looks pretty feirce." He says

she smiled." just watch her features, you see her body ? its relaxed, not all tense as if she is about to spring on you.. her ears are foward in curiousity not pulled back in anger or well you know getting ready to hunt.. " she smiled as she took a peice of meat and held it out in her hand. " i have done this plenty of times.. she knows me. but doesn't know you , which is why she is being curious now.. look at the way she holds her mouth open? big cats like this will take scents in like that.. i think they call it huffing.. not really sure if thats the right term for it though.. but from my understanding theirs sensors on the top of their mouths that give them more information then the nose really does. heh weird i know but its pretty cool. "

He looked to her listening to everything she was saying closely it seemed to calm him a bit..."I see." He says as he watched the mother cat comming closer

she smiled " yea, i read alot of books when i am not out here hun, the library is your friend, that and the only tv i have out here is well watching the wild life. " she smiled as the mother cat came up and cautiously took the meat from her and took it to her cubs. " heh see ,. just watch her profile. usually if you study them long enough you can figure out what they are thinking. "

He looked over to her and then smiles..."Well thats good to know." He says as he looked back at the cats. He then eyed the baby kittens remember that he didn't use condoms many thoughts went threw his head.."What if you get pregnate?" He asked her curiously.

she blinked in surprise and glanced at him at the sudden subject change. " Hmm? hun i allready told you , i can't get pregnant. its allready taken care of.. " frowned as she eyed him." heh hun, do you want me to get pregnant? " she glanced at the kittens again as one of them some how managed to make its way near them, she smiled, the mother cat wasn't making any threatening noises so she took another peice of meat out and held it in her hands, watching as the kitten eyed the meat and slowly came foward.

she arched a brow before smiling. " you sure?, i mean , to answer your question on If i do get pregnant.. well.. i suppose we will just have to take care of it. i mean it is nature for females to get pregnant and what not. " shrugged before smiling. " being a mother can't be that hard. " she giggled as the kitten had taken the meat from her, its whiskers tickling her fingers.

"nonsense hun, you would make a great father.. a nervous one, but a good one. heh i can just see you questioning every thing that comes near the baby. " she teased, putting meat into his hand and showing him how to hold his hand out as the other kittens had come foward as well with them other right behind them. " hmmm well your right on one thing.. i am alot older then what you think ."

" I may look it love, but i am not... thing of.... older... and well , i allready told you i am not normal.. i should probably show you one day but i think i may scare you off. " she smiled as one of the kittens placed its paw on his hand to get the meat in his palm.

she snorted" ohh no no , not a monster.. well maybe to some people. but mostly.... good. heh, thing of it as ... just life.. new life is born every day and well.. someone has to decide when a life .. such as an old sickly deer or other animal or plant.. needs to finally pass on and make room for more life." frowned.. " sounds kinda morbid i know.. but thats the way things go. eh.. hard to explain, but i have something to do with that."
