Magnus sighed, leaning heavily against the wall and rubbing his head with one hand. He didn't want to deal with this right now. "Your son is very gay, thank you very much. Have you ever wondered why he's never had a girlfriend? He's been hanging off of Jace his whole life" he sighed again. He really, didn't want to have to deal with this. He ignored the question, growling slightly. His head was pounding and he felt like he was going to collapse any second, but he had to see this through. "I would never enchant him, and I am not lying! Now if you feel anything for your son at all and don't want him treated as Valentine's lab rat, help us out, please. Gay or not, you can't just leave him there" his eyebrows were furrowed as he glared down at the floor. He wasn't liking Alec's parents very much right now.

[Nyako-Chan]

"Downworlders," Maryse muttered, refusing to accept it just yet. "We all know warlocks and witches are sterile, you have to be lying no matter how we look at this." She was trying to make reason favor her, forget what the warlock said. "Besides, Alec is male. Now if you had said Isabelle, maybe I'd raise an eyebrow and think, but you're a downworlder anyway." Robert was muttering basically the same things she was saying, and he was pretty much repeating one thing after another after her. "My daughter doesn't lie, so I'll believe the part about Alec being kidnapped. We'll head over to...where are you?"

Isabelle mouthed to Magnus, not hearing what was going on through the phone but getting the idea that they weren't buying it from the way Magnus was trying to convince them. "How's it going?" she mouthed to him, looking concerned.

Magnus growled his irritation and shook his head. "Do you not think I've thought of that? If I was lying, it would be the worst lie ever" he moved his glare from the floor to Isabelle, seeing her mouth to him he just shook his head, making a face. He was sure she would get the message. "Isabelle's the one who told me. This morning. Ugh, anyways, we're at my house" he sighed and gave out his adress rather reluctantly, not sure he really wanted them in his home right now, but if they would help get Alec back he would do anything. They would just have to wait and see when Alec started showing. Then they would believe him. And hopefully feel bad for badmouthing him to his face like that. Well, over the phone, but it was the same concept.

Isabelle 'tch'ed and made a face when he signaled that it was going badly, and the obvious mood settling between both parties. She might have told them and they might have had an easier time believing her. Maybe. At least they wouldn't have fought about it and accused her of lying. But it wasn't hers to tell. It was Alec's and Magnus', and since Alec wasn't here right now, it was up to Magnus.

Maryse hung up without a good bye and had the address written down for her and Robert to find. They would be there in a matter of minutes to demand what foolishness the warlock was spouting.

Magnus rolled his eyes when he heard the unmistakable sound of the line going dead. He closed the phone and handed it back to Isabelle, shaking his head. "Your parents are so trusting aren't they?" he asked sarcastically, walking to his couch and dropping onto it, curling up in the cusions and getting comfortable, hoping to regain some energy without going to sleep. He told himself he wouldn't sleep until he got Alec back. He was sure he wouldn't be able to sleep until he got him back. At least his appearance was rather tame now, so Robert and Maryse wouldn't be even more reluctant about all of this. His face and hair were completely natural, no gel or makeup in sight, and he wasn't wearing any leather or tight pants, or anything outrageous. Just dark coloured plaid pj bottoms and an old loose black tshirt. Completely harmless. Except for the glare he was sporting as he stared at the door.

"Nah, it could be worse," she offered, shrugging and sitting down in the chair again. She dragged her fingers through her hair, trying to make it look nice and neat for when her parents came over. "So, they didn't believe you or what? They don't like the fact that it's you?" It didn't sound like they had completely disowned him yet, and they loved him too much to tell the Clave and get his marks removed. "I wonder if they'll like you as his boyfriend once they wrap their minds around it. I mean, Alec could have fallen for a werewolf or something. At least you're half human."

Magnus ran his fingers through his damp hair, although not to make it neat for Isabelle's parents. "They thought I enchanted Alec to make him sleep with me, and that I lied about him being pregnant" he replied in a flat voice. He looked at Isabelle when she commented on that, his glare softening as he laughed, although it was slightly halfhearted. "Maybe, if they can see past the glitter" sure, he wasn't wearing any at the moment, but that wouldn't last more than overnight. "Hmm, half. And at least I can come out in the sunlight" he said, giving another laugh. He wouldn't like to be a vampire. "So I take it you're fine with our relationship?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. It had seemed like it when she had caught their embrace in the hallway of the Institute, but you never know. It could have been just not to hurt her brother.

Isabelle shrugged nonchalantly. "Yeah, I don't care who he dates. I was worried about him always being head over heels for Jace, but I'm glad he's got you. Now I know he won't be alone forever." She enjoyed her brother and Magnus together and supported him with every fiber in her being. "I can sell pictures of you guys on the internet, I bet." She thought about it, wondering how much she could get for a kissing shot, maybe a groping shot. As long as another Shadowhunter didn't find it before he came out, then they should be fine. "How has everyone else taken it?" she asked, noting the raise of the eyebrow from him, like he expected the same answer from her as everyone else gave him.

Magnus gave a small smile, glad to hear that. At least they had one person's support. The smile turned into a full grin at the idea of selling pictures on the internet. "If I get half the profit I won't tell Alec" he bargained, laughing. He could picture Alec's face if he found out. It would be rather adorable. At the question though his frown returned. "Well I have to say Jace was less than pleased. And that was before he was posessed. I think he said that we had gone too fast. . . and he was just generally nasty about it" he said, sighing and rolling his eyes. At least that pain in the ass was gone. But he wanted to know how Alec would feel about that. Jace was his best friend, and he had crushed on him since childhood. He had to be hurting, if he actually knew. He wasn't too sure if Alec had noticed while he was being dragged away.

"Aw, that's too bad," Isabelle replied, frowning. "I wonder if Alec knows Jace is dead. He must have assumed by now. Maybe Sebastian told him or something. They would know by now because he won't be returning. "And then there's our parents who don't believe you. You guys don't have all that much luck. But anyway, about those pictures. If I can get some and he doesn't find out, what do I get in return for giving them to you?" She thought about something else. "Actually, what if you just got married or something since he's having your kid. Or kids, if you guys want more." He'd be able to see Alec however he wanted if Alec wanted to get married too. "You'd need to find a state that has legalized gay marriages."

Magnus nodded, frowning about his bad luck, until the pictures were brought up again. He smirked slightly and answered almost immediately. "Whatever you want. I'm a warlock. You want it, you got it" he replied, laughing. "Hmm, I'd love to. If he wants to. He'd make a great housewife too. I hope he wouldn't spend the entire time cleaning. . . that would be no fun" he frowned again, thinking about it. He would be the happiest man on earth if Alec would marry him. Alec Bane. He liked the sound of that. If only he would agree to it. He wasn't sure that he would though.

Laughing, Isabelle shook her head. "I don't think he'd like being a housewife. He'd be out of the house more than you because of his Shadowhunter duties. He might spend some time cleaning if you asked him to. And if you asked him not to, he'd also do that." Alec was sometimes a little too obedient for his own good. That usually got him hurt around Jace. Jace could use him like a doormat and Alec would offer to do it again if Jace said so. She was glad Magnus had him now and Alec had Magnus. She perked her head up when she heard the buzzer to Magnus' apartment ring, she looked to Magnus. It was up to him to be on his best behavior for her parents if he wanted them to believe him.

"Mm, that's true. He's like a puppy. And just as adorable" Magnus snickered, running his fingers through his hair again. He knew Alec could be too obediant sometimes, but it was cute. He was so eager to please. He heard the buzzer go and he instantly visibly stiffened, his frown returning as he glared at the door. He got to his feet slowly, not wanting to waste the last of his energy to answer to the door magically. He walked to the door and opened it, stepping back to admit the Lightwoods into his home, as much as he wanted to close the door in their faces. Or just have pretended he wasn't home.

Catching his glare at the door again where her parents were, Isabelle decided to stand by him while her parents were let in. She watched her stern faced mother and her very steeled-appearing father walk in, looking ready to jump if they had to. Maryse's look didn't soften much when she saw her daughter looking roughed up. "Izzy, baby, did he hurt you? Did the downworlder enchant you here too?" she asked firmly, looking in the direction of the warlock. Robert looked like he wanted to stop her but did nothing. Isabelle shook her head and stepped away from her mother.

"Mom, it's fine. Jace did it when he attacked me. But...Jace is..." she stopped, and Robert approached her instead and put a hand on her back. She pulled away from him too. "Why won't you believe Magnus?" she asked them. They stared at her like she had admitted to being a vampire.

Magnus narrowed his eyes slightly when they walked in, folding his arms across his chest. "Do I look like I'm in a state to be enchanting anybody right now?" he asked, sure he looked as drained as he felt. He normally did, and it bothered him immensely. He turned and walked back to his couch, rolling his eyes once his back was turned to the Lightwoods. He muttered angrily under his breath as he went, until he was curled up on the couch again, making himself comfortable and uncrossing his arms, resting them on his knees. He looked up at Isabelle's abrupt question, unable to help the small smile curl his lips up as he looked at the looks on Maryse's and Robert's faces.

"Izzy," her mother began, skeptical. "Are you sure it's not just some kind of...phase?" She looked hopeful. Robert looked like he wanted to stop her from saying anything again, but didn't.

"It's not a phase, mom. Alec's known for a long time."

"Maybe he's experimenting. Maybe this happened to be the only guy around."

"No, mom. We met Magnus at a party and he was really nice. So I guess that's about when he and Magnus hooked up, right?" she turned to him. "How long ago was that?" She couldn't remember. It was sometime this year, but a lot had happened in this year. Magnus would be able to remember because they probably did anniversary stuff for them. Or Magnus probably did. Alec might not remember either.

Magnus shook his head in slight disbelief at the conversation, his mouth set in a firm line. The only guy around? Yeah, like that would happen. He wished. Then he wouldn't have to deal with this whole 'I've been crushing on Jace since I was six' thing. He didn't exactly recall being very nice after a certain point of Jace testing his limits at the party, but he let Isabelle tell it as she liked. When the attention turned to him he answered immediately, not even having to think. "Five and a half months ago" he replied, tilting his chin up stubbornly, some of his hair falling back from his face at the action.

Robert raised an eyebrow and stepped up to the warlock. For a minute, Isabelle thought he might do something rash. Instead, he held his hand out, much to the disbelief of Isabelle and Maryse. Maryse gaped like a fish out of water at the friend-like gesture her husband displayed. "I'd like to hear it from Alec too, but welcome to the family, Magnus Bane. My wife will, in time, come to accept you too." At this point Isabelle gaped like her mother. They could be twins minus the age difference.

"Robert!" Maryse gasped out, looking at him in shock. "You're just accepting this? How do we know it's true?"

Her husband looked to her with a small look of not quite guilt. "I trust our son, and if he was with Magnus for this long, then what other choice do I have but to accept it? I had to welcome him to our family if they're serious. You are serious, aren't you?" he looked to Magnus.

Magnus raised an eyebrow as well, not knowing what to expect. Violance? Shouting? The hand put out was not it. He lifted his chin again to look Robert in the eye, a grin spreading across his face. He took the hand, his gaze flicking to Maryse for a moment. "That's good to hear" he replied, feeling happy for the first time since Alec had been abducted. It couldn't have been that long ago though. "Of course I'm serious. If I wasn't, you wouldn't be here right now, and I wouldn't have just spent ten minutes ruining my makeup by crying" he replied, the last part a bit muttered.

Robert looked satisfied. He also looked a little embarrassed for being the first to accept the warlock and his son together. He cleared his throat before turning back to his wife, who looked upset with him, which didn't bode too well for him later, but she'd get over it. "So, did you two come up with a plan yet? What were you going to do about getting Alec back? Will he be okay in his...ah, situation?" Robert Lightwood wasn't quite to the point of being all right with his son being pregnant yet.

Though Maryse didn't look happy, she sighed and looked back to her daughter. "Tell us what happened, from the beginning. I want to hear what happened to you all. The warlock can fill in whatever you don't know." Isabelle told her the parts she knew, and she left whatever couldn't be explained either silent or to Magnus.

Magnus's grin faded at Robert's questions. "I don't even know" he answered, sighing and shaking his head, instantly back to his worry. He had no idea how they were going to pull this off. Valentine surely knew they were going to try to rescue him, and had tricks of his own, but they had no idea what. His gaze flicked to Maryse, holding back a roll of the eyes. 'the warlock'. What a title. She was going to have to get past that eventually. Magnus filled in where he could as Isabelle explained, not exactly happy to be reliving the part where Alec was used against him, although it had been running through his head for the past little while. The only thing about that whole situation that didn't make him upset or angry was the fact that it had been his name Alec was screaming while they took him away. "And now he's gone" he finished off, eyes staring at the floor. Somewhere in the middle of the explaination, Chairman Meow had jumped onto his lap and curled up, offering some comfort to his dismayed owner.

Both Lightwood parents had been listening intently, working out some kind of plan as the story went on. They'd nod occasionally, and sometimes Maryse would make a face, but she stayed quiet. At least she appeared to believe them now. When the two had concluded their parts, the parents took a sigh in unison. One family member dead, another captured, and then Clary was dead too. Maryse didn't speak while she looked to the wall, contemplating something, her lips a thin white line in stress. Robert ran a hand through his hair, groaning. "You two need your rest. We may have to wait until tomorrow to come up with a plan."

"Should be bring more people to help? I mean, this is Valentine we're talking about. For all we know he'll have hordes of demons ready to fight, which Robert and I could stave off. That leaves Sebastian and Valentine left, not to mention getting Alec."

"I don't think so," her husband spoke, "how many people do we know that wouldn't be appalled by the situation, or brave enough to come, or close enough to keep the secret?" Hodge had been one of those kind of people, but he betrayed a while ago.

Magnus opened his mouth to argue when rest was mentioned, but waited until Maryse and Robert had finished speaking, not wanting to piss off Maryse even more by being rude. He had the same dilemma when asking more people crossed his mind. How many people did they know that would qualify for this, with it's many standards. "I don't know about any of you, but I'm not sleeping" he said a bit wearily. "I don't have a spare room, but there are blankets and pillows and such in the closet" he motioned in the right direction, "And you're welcome to stay the night, or go to the Institute, or whatever. But I'm going to get started on planning" he ran his fingers through his hair. He needed coffee. But he didn't have the energy to get himself one right now. He wasn't even sure if he owned a coffee maker.

[Nyako-Chan]

Isabelle made a face. She never took people serious when they said they wouldn't sleep until they found someone or something. "You have to sleep. How will you replenish your power? Not sleeping definitely won't help Alec, you know." Actually, not sleeping would make him weaker, and they couldn't afford that if they were going up against such dangerous, unknown odds. "We can plan in the morning, but you need to try to sleep now. If you're up all night you'll be too tired to fight." Maryse and Robert gave him a look that said their daughter was right.

"We'll excuse ourselves, then. We'll be in the Institute and we can head over here at whatever time you get up," Maryse said, heading out with her husband following along behind her. "Come, Isabelle," her mother barked when she left the doorway.

"Get some sleep. Do it for Alec," Isabelle told him as she headed out. Waving to him. Good thing she had his number, which she took from Alec's phone. She picked up the weapons and left the door with her parents.

"I'll sleep later. I won't be able to knowing I haven't done anything" Magnus replied, stretching and stroking his dwarf cat absently. He ignored the looks and just shrugged. He knew it was correct, but he really wouldn't be able to sleep. He'd go to bed in about an hour. Enough time to get something done. "Alright. I'll go to bed later, don't worry" he said a bit dryly, watching them start to leave. "Alright. Goodnight" he waved a long-fingered hand tiredly and moved his cat, getting up to search the kitchen after they left, finding that he actually did have a coffee machine, and he set it up, leaning against the counter as he waited for it to finish. Once done, he poured himself a cup, leaving it black now to keep him awake, instead of adding flavors and sugar and cream and all sorts of things, which normally made him feel comfortable, and more able to sleep.
