she frowned slightly before smiling'' lets get the car taken care of first, then we can eat before shopping for clothing. '' she buckled her seat belt on as she looked over at him, allowing her tail to wrap around his lightly as she reached over and lightly petted his ears.. '' your such a sweet heart you know... now that we have new names it should be a little easier to hide from the government. so don't worry so much. ''

He grinned. "Ok...", he mumbled before he pulled away, feeling the heavy van slip before getting traction in the slick snow. He purred lightly as he felt her tail wrap around his. "So where is that place you mentioned about the vans...", he asked before he saw a large, but older van, probably about mid 80's, it had curtains up in the window, and it seemed large enough. It was a large Chevrolet Van, and seemed in good shape. He stopped the van immediately after seeing a for sale sign in it's window. He turned to her as he felt her pet his ears, making him purr louder. "I hope so.. Hey.. let's go check this van out... it seems in good shape and around what we need.", he mumbled in a soft tone, pointing out the window with his hand.

she glanced out the window slightly as she continued to rub his ears, looking the van over.. '' we can check it out, gotta make sure it runs right, but the price seems reasonable. '' she liked the coloring of it, it looked old but in good shape, so hoped the engine worked just as good. '' come on, the number is on the sign so we can call them quickly and see if they will meet us here., if the van is paiid off for them, they should be able to take cash with no problem. ''

He glanced. "Do you have a cell phone... or is there a payphone around?", he asked as he looked around trying to spot a payphone, seeing one about two blocks away. "I don't think we need to worry about it being paid off.. It is about 20 years old I think.. maybe more...", he mumbled, getting out of the van for a moment and peering inside the windows as much as he could. "It looks clean inside, it looks well taken care of and all...", he shouted back at her, shiverring slightly as a cool breeze blew by. He ran back into the van and shut the door behind him. "I just pray to dear god the heat works.", he mumbled.

she nodded as she wrote the number down quickly '' payphone, heh i never had a cell phone, only a house phone. '' she rubbed his arms slightly trying to warm him up again'' yea, but come on, we can call them and ask them whatever we want about the van and make sure it works before buying it. but i agree it looks good. '' she made sure she had change in her pocket for the call. '' i will be right back , stay put. '' she was quick to run out of the van, head straight for the pay phone, luckily no one else was using it so she dropped the coins in the slot, dialed the number and spent nearly ten minutes on the phone talking to the owner.

Once that was done she ran back to the van and climbed in, shivering visibly as she rubbed her arms. '' bloody hell it feels like a freezer out there. the guy lives just down the block, he will be here shortly with the keys, he promised to let us test the heater and what not to make sure it works. ''

He hugged her close to him trying to warm her back up, feeling her cold skin as he hugged her. His hands petted her ears lightly as he smiled at the good news. "Well that sounds good. Did he say anything about the history of it?", he asked as he rubbed her softly, trying his best to warm her back up. "And you need to stop at a bank... And.. we need to ditch this.. It would be awful strange if we were swapping out a huge FBI van for an early 80's van...", he mumbled, draping his arms over her. "I love you...", he whispered gently into her ears.

she smiled as she leaned against him slowly getting warmed up '' well he said its been in his family for ages and he just can't keep it any more due to family issues now.. '' she shrugged as she nodded'' yea, i agree to that.. should we get rid of the van before he comes? '' she glanced around before frowning'' theres a clothing store just across the street, we can just buy a pair of jackets for now to keep us warm if we wait for him outside.. but we can't forget the cats. ''

He glanced back into the rear of the van and walked back there, picking up the carrier that they had used to bring the cats in with. "Well it is a good thing we kept this.", he mumbled as he nodded. "And yeah we do need to get rid of this.. drive it into a lake or something...", he shuddered as he rubbed his arms a little. "We can get something small to put over the carrier to keep them warm. We get clothes first, and then ditch the van and wait...", he nodded, trying to think things out. It was getting hard to think as he heard the engine continuing to chug as it burned precious fuel.

she nodded, glancing at him as she looked him over , judging his size.. '' ok wait here. turn the van off if you must to conserve fuel '' she was quick as she ran inside, grabbing a thick blanket to put over the carrier for the cats as well as a fluffy jacket for men and one for her, quickly paying for it she ran back outside, the whole thing took only ten more minutes. which was pretty damn fast for her since she normally took her time shopping. ripping the tags off the jackets she climbed in and tossed him his.. '' might be a tad big but i wanted to make sure it would keep you warm.''

He kept the engine running, and he watched her inside the store. "Man, I just hope this is permanent...", he mumbled to himself as he watched her run back. He openned the door for her and allowed her to climb in quickly. He grabbed the jacket and pulled it around him, curling up inside of it, and purring quietly, enjoying the warmth. "Big.. good...", he mumbled, curling up in the driver's seat with it on. "So where do we ditch this monster?", he asked in a soft tone as he looked back into the rear of the van again. He was getting tired of relocating all of the time and was hoping that he had finally escaped from this huge matter of him being wanted by the FBI. But he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to be uncovered here. Things still didn't ad up.

she shrugged'' the lake sounds fine. '' she glanced at the clock and frowned, '' should be about thirty minutes to get there even with the slow traffic. . and we can just walk back which won't take long either'' she looked up at him and relaxed, '' yea big is good. in more ways than one'' she teased, nudging him lightly . '' well come on, sooner we get this done, sooner we can get things settled and than maybe.. we can try and figure out what is going on with the fbi and all that.. i don't know about you but i would sure like some answers.. ''

He gave a sigh as he threw the van into drive again, and pulled slowly out of the city, and seeing a lake a few blacks away. There was snow on top, which made it seem as though it had ice on top, but if there was, the temperature was high enough that it wouldn't be thick enough to hold the weight of the van. "When I say jump... we jump.. grab the cats and be ready...", he whispered, staring out of the windshield as his foot dangled over the accelerator. He looked, to make sure that the street wasn't busy, and saw that it was actually closed off... Just a few signs stood in the way. "Let's get this over with...", he mumbled.

she quickly grabbed the cats, putting them in the carrier and putting the blanket on top. holding onto it as she glanced at him, a little nervous but knew the snow would be soft enough to cushion any h ard falls.. '' alright i am ready '' making sure the seat belt was off she had her hand on the door and waited, this time of the day not many people where out, atleast not until later. so it would be somewhat safe and hard for people to even see them jump out of the van.

He unclicked his seatbelt as he gripped the steering wheel hard, and floored the engine out, hearing it roar and the wheels slid in the snow before catching on and throttling them forward. He clenched his teeth for a moment, watching it get closer and closer as he ran through the "Road Closed" Signs, feeling things seem to slow down with the adrenaline pumping through him. He let go of the wheel and gripped onto the door and looked over at Missy. "Jump...", he nodded toward her as he pushed the door open and jumped out backwards, landing onto the soft cold snow, clutching his jacket tightly.

the moment she heard him yell the word jump she was already out the door, landing with a loud grunt in the snow, wincing slightly as she slid a little before slowly getting up.. '' ouch.. '' she patted herself down, making sure nothing was broking, though a little bruised before she checked the cats.. they where a little freaked out but fine.. '' i am sorry guys, thats the only time where doing that i promise..'' looking over at him she trudged through the snow over to him'' you ok?"

He openned his eyes for a moment, before he saw her face. He let out a small groan. "Yeah, I'm fine.. how ar you...?", he asked as he sat up, getting up and sweeping the snow off of him. He turned to see the van slowly sinking into the water, after having broken the ice. "Whew... That was the worst bit now let's go get that van...", he said before he knelt down and put a finger into the carrier. "Sorry guys, but it had to be done...", he murmurred before thinking. "Wait.. why did you come? I could have done it and you could have waited for the owner of the van... I put you in harms way for no reason..", he frowned.

she frowned slightly '' huh,, well guess neither one of us thought about that.. i just don't like being without you i guess.. and i am fine'' she grinned '' my butt is a little sore but its all good, nothing really harmed. come on'' she reached over and slid her hand in his, '' the guy said he would be a bit anyways. he had to make sure he had all the paperwork ready to be signed and what not.. apparently that van has been there for a while and he was fixing to give up on selling it.''

He gave a sigh. He didn;t like the possibility of her being hurt. "So... Sarah... let's get going...", he mumbled, trunching his feet through the snow, feeling it crunching. He smiled as he held her hand. "Well I just don;t want you to get hurt because of me.", he said as he looked up, seeing his breath as he talked. It had been the first time that he could remember seeing his breath. He tugged her back to the corner where the van was. It was only about a 7 minute walk from the lake. He could hear some sirens heading toward there by the time they got back to the corner. "So any idea when he is expected here?", he asked, shoving his spare hand into a pocket and still held onto her hand.

she shrugged'' just an elderly man, he didn't sound young and he said he would meet us by the van. '' she watched the cars with the sirens shoot by heading for the lake before shaking her head, looking over at him again before smiling.. '' well i am not hurt, so don't worry ,like i said, just a bruised butt.. nothing a good rub down can't fix.. '' she leaned against the van, not really surprised by being able to see her breath but she watched him, considering he seemed to be fascinated over it. '' heh your like a kid opening up a new present on christmas.''

He looked over at her, rubbing her hand gently, feeling the warmth. "I am glad you're not hurt.", he mumbled as he leaned up against the van with her and pulled her close to him.. "What's christmas?", he asked as he looked over at her blankly. He had heard of it before, but never had an idea of what it was. He shook his head and shrugged. "I have heard things about preasents, but I am not entirely sure what those are either...", he mumbled as he scratched his head before shoving his hand back into the pocket. "Come on come on, hurry up, old man...", he said as he shivered.

she looked over at him, smiling slightly though a little sad, reaching over she zipped and buttoned up his jacket to keep him warmer.. '' well.. christmas is a holiday celebrating the birth of the lords son.. well t hats how it started out as.. then it turned into the whole santa claus bringing presents on christmas eve for good little boys and girls.. .. christmas is still a few weeks off but i think me and you can manage to enjoy it this year. ''

He looked over at her. The whole idea sort of confused him. He didn't know of any lords or why anyone would celebrate the son of a lord. And he had no idea who the hell Santa was. He just gave a small nod, pretending to understand. "I hope that old man hurries.. I think my tail is about to fall off.", he mumbled through shivers. He peered into the windows again. "Have you seen inside it? I think it will work for our needs...", he mumbled, his breath fogging up the glass before he backed away, watching it go back to clear.

(( it all depends on what kind of shift i get, if its l ike a midday shift i should be fine, i don't get that much sleep now anyways. i only run off of six hours of sleep XD ))

she tried not to laugh as she reached over and began to rub his tail'' nope your sexy tail is still there.. '' she glanced through the window once or twice of the van and smiled'' yea i have seen it.. and your right i think it does work for us.'' she glanced around before catching sight of some old man across the street waiting for the light to turn so he could cross. judging by the fact that he had papers in his hands, a set of keys and the fact he was waving at them, she figured it was him..'' there he is.. we are almost done hun, just a little bit longer''

His facial expressions brightened as he heard the crunching footsteps near them. He looked around and saw the man. "Finally... wait.. Are you paying with a card or check? Cuz I know you don't carry much money around.", he asked as he turned to look into Missy's eyes. "I some how just don't think he is carrying around a credit card reader... and then we have to go through the liscence beauro((Sorry not sure how to spell that lof)) He was eager to get it done and over with, and get into the warm van, out of the cold.

she looked up at him before laughing softly pointing over to a building about a block down.. '' thats a bank hun. he said he was willing to negotiate a price if its too high as it is.. once we settle on one if i don't have enough on me, i can just walk to the bank and pull more out. extra even for food later on... you married a smart woman remember?" she teased going over to shake the old man's hand. '' nice to meet you walter. ''

the man grinned, his eyes brightening '' pleasure is mine, your the first to even ask about that old thing.. '' he waved to the van '' was trying to figure out if i should just donate it to some organization as a tax right off, but i need the money at the moment. '' he mumbled, leaning on his cane slightly before he moved closer to the van and Jack. holding the keys out to him. '' you can check it out if you like young man. everything works as far as i know. its already filled up with gas and the oil is fresh. and it is still clean , been that way since the day my grandson came by and detailed the thing. ''
