"I guess that would work, or maybe Isabelle or Mom would feel up for watching him on a day we're both busy," Alec said, otherwise reluctant to leave Skylar alone anywhere. "Werewolves could smell him, other mages might be able to sense him, we have to be careful." Skylar had so many enemies, and he was only born yesterday. So many potential threats Alec and Magnus had to protect him from. They'd do their best to keep him safe and undiscovered, and perhaps they'd train him when he got older so he could defend himself.

"This is true" Magnus frowned, waving his hand and the dirty dishes vanished, and there was a light clattering sound a moment later as they appeared in the cupboards, clean. "I take clients every day though. I might need to stop running my business out of my house. Because who knows what would be lying around that yells 'hey look! There's a baby living here!'" he sighed, thinking of an alternative. He couldn't just give up his position of High Warlock of Brooklyn. He could come up with a solution when he needed to though. This was his break time. He was off work for the next few days, as far as he was concerned.

"Who knows. I don't work every day for Clave missions. Just a few hours of training, and I'd be home. I could take Skylar with me the days I don't have to work, Mom or Isabelle might watch him, or he could be near while I train, and then I could take him home when I got home," he said, thinking of a plan for himself. It'd help Magnus so he didn't have to worry about being wary of customers in his house, well, for this reason anyway. "It'd probably work for most of the week, but I know there's almost always at least two or three missions a week, so we'd have to watch out for days everyone's busy. I'm not sure what we'd do then," Alec admitted.

Magnus nodded slowly, thinking it over. "I suppose. . . but somebody would have to be watching him, or at least aware of him" he said, pushing his loose hair back from his face. "Wait. . . " he sat up a bit straighter, having an idea. "Jocelyn and Luke. Or Simon. They might help. I'm sure Jocelyn would love to have a baby around. Most people do" he grinned, happy he had thought of it. Shadowhunters were supposed to stick together, so hopefully they would do it as a favour to the Lightwoods. Magnus would even pay if they wanted.

"Yeah, maybe Clary's mom would. Luke might, he doesn't know yet though," Alec contemplated. They didn't have that much of a connection to them since Clary died. Luke and Jocelyn were pretty quiet these days with Clary out of their lives. They very, very rarely stopped by to say hi or something, or check up on things. Even rarer was to see them out in public coincidentally. They could always check the Werewolf bar, but Alec had a feeling Luke didn't go there much anymore. Maia might be able to get in touch with him, Maia was trustworthy with this.

"Yep. I'm a genius" Magnus leaned back in his chair, stretching his arms above his head, and his long legs beneath the table. He found it perfectly normal to be sitting around the table, eating breakfast without a shirt on. He'd done it naked before. Not with Alec, but by himself. It didn't bother him. "It won't be hard to reach them. I have Jocelyn's number from when I had to screw tih Clary's mind every two years" he said shrugging. He picked up his coffee cup and looked down at the little bit left, drinking it down in one gulp before getting himself a new one, starting with the whipped cream again, as he normally did.

"I guess that makes sense," Alec said, remembering now that he used to work for Jocelyn to wipe Clary's mind and sight. Didn't work so well, and Jocelyn probably blamed herself for Clary dying this way anyway. Her mom had been trying to protect her from this life for this reason. That, and Valentine. Alec felt sorry for Jocelyn. Not really Clary. "Luke and Jocelyn. I wonder about Maia and Simon. We haven't talked to them in a while. Isabelle talks about Simon a lot. I bet they text," he said, since Isabelle had stopped talking about Meliorn a while ago.

Magnus nodded, glad that they were getting somewhere. I'm sure Maia would be fine with it. She'd expect to be paid though, knowing her. It's fine with me though" he shrugged, sipping at his fresh coffee. There was nothing like hot coffee in the morning. Other than sex. . . morning sex was always nice. "Hmm, wait, so Isabelle's gettin' somethin'?" he asked, with a suggestive raise of his eyebrows. "She never told me that. I'm ashamed" he shook his hair back, glaring at the strands that kept falling in his face before getting himself an elastic and tying it back.

"I wasn't told either, I'm just guessing," Alec said, relating it to his sister's trend in males. He'd hear about them for maybe a week or so, two months at the most, and then it'd stop for a day or three, then he'd hear another guy's name. Alec wondered how Isabelle knew so many people. Then again, was he really that surprised Isabelle could attract so many males to her, only to have their heart broken in a matter of days to weeks? "Isabelle's love life really isn't that interesting. If you watch, it's just a cycle." Meet a guy, hang out with him, get who knows how far, dump him, repeat.

"Ah" Magnus nodded, understanding. Isabelle had a rather interesting choice in men. "Yes, well, what makes it interesting is that I know most of the people she dates. Gossiping is fun. You should try it, muffin" he laughed. The day Alec started gossiping would be the appocalypse. "I'm glad you're not like that. I would have some competition. But you're my sweet, innocent Alec, and I don't have to worry about it, as posessive as I may seem sometimes" he leaned forward, resting his elbow on the table, and his head on his hand, smiling at his Alec.

"Who would I gossip to anyway?" he asked, "Church? Chairman Meow?" He didn't see the point of gossiping. He never had anyone to spread it to that would have an interesting effect. "What competition?" Alec half laughed, "no one knew I was gay until I came out to you and my family." Magnus seemed to be the only one who had been able to see through his cover. His family was the only one to talk to, there was almost nothing he knew that they didn't, so then there wasn't anyone trying to steal his heart.

"Well you never know" Magnus said, shrugging. Sure, it was quite true, but still. "Come on, havn't you at least had someone hit on you while out with Isabelle or something? Some guy who thought you were hot and gave it a shot to see if you were gay?" he asked, tilting his head to the side, and ignoring the fact that hald of that sentence rhymed. There had to be at least one person who had tried to hit on Alec before him. But maybe he didn't know he was being hit on, and therefore wouln't remember.

"Umm..." Alec tried to remember the times guys had confronted him and him having no idea what they were talking about, or too on guard to care. "Maybe? I think one guy was trying to reach for my pants, but I thought he was going to attack me...so..." He had naturally jumped back and pulled a seraph blade on him. The guy went running, leaving Alec confused but satisfied. "I think people have said some passes to me, but I didn't get them at the time. I always did wonder why Isabelle laughed when I didn't say anything back."

Magnus laughed at the fact that Alec had to seriously think about it. He laughed even harder at the fact that he thought he was going to be attacked when someone had reached for his pants. He propped one hand on the table and half-rose from his seat to lean over the table to reach Alec's mouth, kissing him softly. "God you're so cute. I hope you'd get it now if you got hit on by some random. And I hope you would reject them too" he kissed him again, taking his as his 'good morning' kiss, that he hadn't gotten.

Alec smiled at the kisses. Of course, he had forgotten their morning, pretty much routine kisses. Skylar had been something new in their routine, throwing him off. "I'd reject them any day because I have you," he said, grinning. He wouldn't have found much in those other guys, he was sure. Any one of them that weren't Magnus weren't worth it. Magnus was really the one who had to be watched, not that Alec thought he'd leave him or cheat on him. Magnus had just gotten out a lot more than Alec ever had.

Magnus slowly sat back in his seat, glancing at Skylar once before back at Alec, who was grinning at him. He couldn't help but smile back. He loved that look on his lover's face. "I'm glad. I don't have to worry about people moving in on my man. Well, I do, but I don't have to worry about my man accepting. And I know for a fact that you can defend yourself" he laughed, almost able to picture the faces on the guys who tried to do something to Alec to the point where he needed to defend himself. They would probably be shocked that such a shy little boy could kill them so easily. Not that he wanted to think of Alec in such situations.

"Yep. I'm a Shadowhunter. If I can defend myself from demons, I can defend myself from creepers." He'd been jumped a few times in the past, by the odd stranger while he was out walking at night, or jogging early in the morning. They were always amazed to fail in their plans to get him. Alec would leave them unconscious and on the sidewalk or something where they attacked him, then keep on going. That only happened when he didn't put up a rune to hide himself, which he didn't always feel like doing. He learned after a while that if he didn't want to get jumped and ruin his run, he'd have to put a rune on.

Magnus grinned, glad to know that was true. It was nice to hear, even if he had already said it and thought about it. It was as if he was more reassured by Alec being sure of himself, which he rarely was. "Yes, but can you defend youself from me?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. He didn't think Alec could, but his little Shadowhunter might surprise him if he ever tried. He moved one leg under the table, pressing it against Alec's lightly, just seeking some contact with him, and it was too much of a hassle to lean across the table like that again. Not that he wouldn't do it if Alec wanted another kiss.

"Defend myself against you?" Alec asked with a raised eyebrow. "Depends, do I want to defend myself?" Usually no, Magnus was the aggressor in their relationship, and Alec loved it. Sometimes he took the lead when he was feeling spicy and trying to hint to Magnus that he really wanted some, but Magnus was always given the control. Magnus was best at the controls, not that the idea of Magnus squirming under him while Alec lead hadn't crossed his mind. He gathered enough from Magnus domination to know what to do for the most part. It was just a matter of time before he was ready to try something like that one day.

Magnus grinned at the question. "Mm, I don't think so, from the way you scream and beg for more" he replied, trying not to picture it, but it wasn't working out too well. He knew they couldn't do anything yet, since Alec had given birth yesterday and would still be tired, and they had a newborn baby to take care of. "But you never know. One day you might decide 'To hell with this, I'm on top!' and then you'll be wanting to defend yourself" he shrugged, wondering if Alec had even thought of that. He had, a few times, more wondering what it would be like with his fiance in the dominant role.

With a cough that could have been him 'clearing' his throat, Alec flushed light red. "Yeah, screaming and begging." He did do that a lot when Magnus was touching him, didn't he... "Who knows," Alec shrugged, "someday. It could be interesting." He liked the bottom, and Magnus made it clear he liked the top. Switching it up once in a while might shake things up a bit. It was more than likely a good thing. Alec would bet Magnus looked as amazing as usual even on the bottom, or possibly more. He wondered what he'd like more when they tried it out one day.

Magnus grinned at the blush, loving the colour on Alec's face. He could always get him to blush if he wanted. "I think it'd be hot" he decided, nodding. Alec would be sexy while being dominant he decided, once he got used to it. He would be a bit awkward at first, no doubt. It would be rather adorable. But most of the things Alec did were. "But you're hot either way. Just in case you didn't know" he pushed off the table again to steal another kiss, lingering a bit longer this time before sitting down. It was too hard to resist.

Alec loved Magnus from the bottom of his heart, he was sure of it. "So I hear," he said, humming in the thought. "A certain warlock likes to tell me that pretty often. I don't usually believe anyone but him, but maybe I'll believe you," he teased. There was no one he'd rather spend an immortal life with than Magnus. "I love you," he breathed, smiling widely. What were they going to do today, he wondered. Skylar wasn't like Max right now where they had to watch him at all times because he'd cry when they least expected it. He'd even cry after he was done crying. Skylar had only cried once, and right now, he looked pretty content.

"If you didn't believe me, I might have just had to drag you into my bedroom and prove it to you" Magnus threatened, teasing right back. "But who's this 'certain warlock' you speak of? I might want to have a word with him. But he obviously has very good taste in men" he nodded. "I love you too" he grinned, loving how happy Alec looked. It gave him pleasure to know that he was the one making him so happy. Alec was the best thing that had ever happened to him in his whole 800 years of life. If he was ever taken away from him, he was sure he would die.

"Oh yeah?" Alec asked, adding challenge to his tone. Both he and Magnus knew what they wanted, what they'd been missing. The question sitting in front of them though, was if he was up for it or not. "Well, that certain warlock happens to be the best dresser I know, and he keeps the glitter industry in business." Alec wondered when the next time he and Magnus could go at it. He had a feeling if they did anything now, even if he could, he'd wear out too fast. He had to rebuild stamina and such, another reason to start up training soon.
