Magnus snapped his fingers, and the bags vanished. "There, gone. See, that wasn't so hard was it?" he grinned, knowing that Alec wouldn't be too pleased once he knew it had all just been dumped inside Skylar's room, quietly of course. He would clean it later. "Well. . . make that game shut up first, but after that, I have no clue" he shrugged. He moved away from his fiance and grabbed his controller for the playstation, hitting a few buttons before hitting the power button with his toe, putting the controlled down and waving his hand, and it packed itself away, the screen returning to regular tv, turning on some soap opera.

"Well, that wasn't much of a task, but it's done anyway." Alec shrugged his shoulders, looking around the house. "Little bit of cleaning, I guess, but where will that get us anyway? It'd be done within ten or so minutes if you worked too." Fifteen, twenty minutes if he didn't, not that Alec really minded. Magnus was a loud cleaner. "Where's Chairman Meow?" he asked, maybe Chairman Meow could amuse them or something. The pygmy cat was missing since they'd gotten noisy earlier. The cat had been okay with Skylar so far, he liked to rub up against him sometimes. Maybe he was in Skylar's room, where it was quiet.

Magnus wrinkled his nose at the thought of cleaning. That part of being a parent he wasn't going to get used to. He cleaned up before and after parties, but that was different. It was more a matter of getting rid of EVERYTHING in the room. At the question about his cat he looked around, seeing no sign of the ball of fluff. "I have no idea. Probably curled up somewhere hoping we don't make love again" he shrugged, dropping onto the couch and stretching, his long, thin, rainbow-leather clad legs stretching straight out across the room.

"Could be." He didn't really doubt the cat wanted to avoid the noise, the cat hated when they were screaming or anything. Chairman Meow was kind of sensitive sometimes. Activity and noise wise, that is. The cat could back sass them if he wanted to. He could stand up to them but when it came to the vacuum cleaner, or maybe them all over each other, the cat would disappear. Magnus' parties were a better example, actually. "Does he know any tricks?" Alec asked, wondering if cats could learn how to do things like dogs could. Maybe if he knew things, or understood words like 'treat' they could find him?

Magnus knew that cats didn't like loud noises. No animals did, really. But smaller ones especially. So him being MIA while they had sex was quite normal. He never did really stick around much while they did. He laughed at the question about tricks. "The only trick he knows is how to get outside while the door is closed. I still havn't figured that one out" he had no idea how his little kitten did it, but it made disappearing easy. The stupid little dwarf cat ran away quite often. Tricks weren't something the animal had the brain capacity to pull off.

Alec wondered why the cat kept coming back to Magnus if he hated the noise so much. The cat couldn't just be coming for the food? Plenty of owners (downworlder owners, that is) would feed the cat any time. Maybe the cat loved Magnus more than he actually showed. Magnus liked the cat more than she showed, that was for sure. If his cat went missing for a long period of time, Magnus would surely be worried. He'd have no problem tracking him down though, since he had a lot of Chairman Meow's stuff here. "I guess he's smarter than he acts or looks," Alec said, if the cat could do those things and leave Magnus clueless.

"Maybe. Or he could be just even tinier than he looks under all that fur, and can fit through a mouse hole" Magnus shrugged. He really did love his little cat, and he would be sad when Chairman Meow died, but he didn't think he had to worry about that for a while. "He never runs away for long though. He comes home when he gets hungry" he didn't like it when his kitten ran away, but it happened quite often. He whistled between his teeth, a soft sound, not loud enough to wake Skylar, but he knew Chairman Meow would hear. Sure enough, the little white puff slipped out of the bathroom and came running, jumping up onto the couch with him. "That's about all he can do" Magnus smirked in slight amusement as the cat purred, rubbing against his leg.

"That's kinda cool," Alec commented when he watched the cat go to the whistle Magnus had made. Cats didn't do that, well, Church didn't. They had to look for Church everywhere before they could ask him for something. Church was getting a bit old too. In a couple years he could be considered a pretty old cat. For now, he was just an adult cat, but eventually he'd turn into a grandpa cat and then he'd be slow and probably couldn't find people in the Institute anymore. Church had been there about as long as Alec had been in the Institute, maybe longer.

Magnus glanced up at Alec and smiled, stroking his cat lightly. "He's useless other than that. Unless you like your clothes being shredded" he gave a wry smile, but he knew that Alec knew how much he loved Chairman Meow. It was nice to have the little ball of fluff cuddling him. Not as nice as Alec cuddling him, but still nice. He knew that Church wasn't exactly a pet cat, he was more like staff at the Institute. Always working for the Shadowhunters, and never stopping to be affectionate.

"I don't mind ripped clothes," Alec said with a shrug. "I mean, we all know that anyway." Ripped, holey clothes, whatever, as long as it was wearable. Anyone who saw what he wore on a daily basis, and how worn out the colors had become, knew he didn't care about if a cat got his clothes with its claws or teeth or not. "You like wearing ripped clothes sometimes. Your jeans shouldn't be jeans half the time because of how many tears and holes you cut in them." Magnus said it was a style when he wore them once, to wear those kinds of jeans, and when Alec asked why his couldn't be accepted if Magnus could wear torn clothes, he was told it wasn't on purpose and they were in the wrong places anyway.

Magnus knew all too well that his fiance didn't mind ripped clothes. "I think the world knows, honey" he pointed out, leaning back and pulling his cat onto his lap. Alec's jeans could be ripped in the strangest places, but his lover wouldn't care unless it was somewhere private. "Well my jeans are high fashion. I buy them that way, and they cost a lot more money than normal jeans" not that he paid for them, but whatever. "If your jeans were purposely ripped in the right places, and the right way, it would look damn sexy. But, they're not. It looks silly" he gave Alec a look, even though they both knew he didn't care how ridiculous his Shadowhunter looked.

"That's okay, I'm not trying to look good with them like that." He would rather avoid Magnus' chastising, but that was too much work if he had to make sure his jeans were always new and not torn up. "Too much work to try to look nice," Alec said, "and to do that every day doesn't sound worth it. How many people are going to see you and ask you for tips?" Not that Magnus didn't look good like that, but people didn't stop other strangers over asking how they did their make up, or what brand they used and how long he took to apply his make up.

"I know. But you will one day. I'm going to rub off on you to the point where you're going to be dressing like me on your own free will. Just you wait" Manus was fairly sure this would happen eventually. Or something of the sort. Alec would find a new style in later years, and hopefully it would be something better than the hobo look. "People don't generally ask me for tips, unless I'm at a club or bar, or it's my friends" he shrugged, "But it's worth it anyways. People look at me and think 'Shit, look at him! Sexy beast! He sure isn't one to be scared to flaunt his sexuality'. I stand out. And I love it" he thought this was enough of a reason to dress the way he did, other than his own personal enjoyment of how he looked.

"How do you know what people think? Do they tell you what they were thinking?" Or did he mind read them? Nahh, Magnus didn't mind read as far as he knew. Well, there was the whole, unlocking their heads or whatever that he'd done when this all began, but what reason would Magnus have to do that if he was at a bar or club anyway? "Are you assuming this?" he asked, titling his head to the side, pretty nearly sure Magnus was just being funny. He already knew Magnus loved standing out. Alec couldn't help but stand out too when he was by his side. He didn't like people staring at him, but usually they paid more attention to Magnus than him eventually.

"In case you've forgotten, I'm magic" Magnus grinned, wiggling his eyebrows. He had been making a joke, which he had thought had been obvious, but whatever. He knew people probably thought something like that sometimes, from some of the looks and comments he got. He loved the fact that he could have people all over him if he really wanted, but now he had his Alec, and he was fine. He knew some would be shocked that he was settling down with one person, let alone a Shadowhunter. But he didn't give a damn what they thought.

"Yeah, I know you are," Alec reassured him, kissing him briefly on the cheek. Magnus had a weird eyebrow wiggling thing, but whatever. Alec didn't know people could move that part of their face. He wasn't about to try. He figured he'd look ridiculous with his face scruntched up, trying to perform the same thing he'd just seem. "Anyways, I think I'll get some sleep." Two go's of sex within the same hour pretty much had him tired. He didn't know if Magnus would join him or not, but he headed off to their bed room, not bothering to climb under the covers as he fell asleep.

Alec opened his eyes to darkness of the room, alert instantly. He could hear faintly the music from Skylar's room. "Magnus," he whispered, gently pulling at his sleeping lover's form. "Get up." He shook him lightly, patting his face a couple times. Magnus did not get up easy until after twelve at the very least. "Christmas, Magnus," he informed, raising his voice a little. Skylar's first Christmas. He was three months old by now.

Magnus was sound asleep, and planned to stay that way for a while longer, at least. The whisper stirred at his unconcious, and Alec's figure wove it's way into his dream, wearing nothing but a pair of low-slung short shorts. He was going to enjoy this, he knew, until he was disturbed by the shaking, and light patting on his face. He scrunched his face up lightly, throwing an arm over it and turning away. "Who the fuck's Chris?" he muttered, his words slurring as he rolled onto his stomach. It was way too early to be awake, he knew, and he wanted to know why Alec had to get him up so early.

"Chris? What? Chris- Oh, Christmas," Alec told him, "c'mon, get up. Christmas, Magnus." Alec had even gone out this year and went to the mall, with Isabelle's help. He'd used his training time to go to the mall without Magnus thinking anything. What had he gotten him that he didn't already have or could just get with his fingers? Well, the only thing Alec could fill was the first part. The second one couldn't be helped. Isabelle had suggested giving himself over as a Christmas present. They were going to do their own Christmas here, and then later go to the Institute to have Christmas dinner with his family. He already knew that his parents had gotten Skylar something. They'd been going shopping often, according to Isabelle. "C'mon, Magnus, up."

"Christmas? No it's. . . wait. . . yes it is, never mind" Magnus sighed, rolling over again and half sitting up, propping himself up on his elbow. He blinked a few times at Alec before lifting the corner of his mouth in a smile. "Merry Christmas then, my lovely" he said, ducking down to kiss the man he loved. Christmas was for spending time with your loved ones, and this year, he actually had loved ones to spend it with. He had had a few complaints that he wasn't having a party this year, but he blew it off. "What time is it anyways?" he asked, glancing at his floor-length rainbow curtains. They let no sun through on the brightest of days, so that was no indication.

"Mhmm, it's Christmas morning, good morning, Magnus." Alec smiled as he realized he was spending a Christmas actually having fun and looking forward to it. Christmas at the Institute had been kind of boring, but it had been nice to be around his family anyway. Now he was with his own family, and he had his birth family waiting to see him and his family later on. "It's, err." What time was it? Alec had just kind of woken up. He checked the clock on the side. Ah, Magnus might not like it this early. "It's eight a.m." he told him, kissing him to make sure Magnus would stay quiet and not groan or anything about how 'early' it was. It was a good time for him, actually, but Magnus didn't often get up at 8 a.m. 9 was the earliest for him, maybe.

Magnus raised an eyebrow when his fiance hesitated to answer his question. He saw the glance to the clock, and figured that Alec had just woken him up when he got up. That was a rare thing for him to do. His eyes widened at the time, before he had Alec's mouth silencing his. He couldn't believe he was actually up at eight. That was a miracle right there. "I think this needs to be recorded. 'Magnus Bane gets up before noon, December 25th, 2010'" he ran a hand through his tangled hair. It was clean, since he had showered before he went to bed the night before. "Is Skylar up yet?" he asked, looking from the doorway and back to Alec.

"Maybe it'll go in the Clave's records," Alec muttered, rolling his eyes. Getting up at 8 in the morning should not be a chore. Getting up at 4 or 3 in the morning was a chore. Alec would most certainly agree to that. He was usually up and pretty awake after 7. "Umm, I don't think so. I haven't heard anything. I'll go check." He got up out of the warm bed, not at all affected by the change in temperature from the sheets to the atmosphere. Magnus' house was nice and warm for Skylar too. Skylar had noticeably liked the snow, but liked being warm more. He walked to the room, switching the music off when he saw Skylar quietly lying there, blinking slowly at the side of the crib. "Hey, Sky," Aec greeted him softly, smiling as the baby made a noise. He picked up Skylar and cradled him to his chest. "It's Christmas. Let's go see Daddy." He brought Skylar to Magnus' room, hoping Magnus hadn't gone back to sleep. "He's up. I think he just got up too."

Magnus smirked slightly at the joke, wondering how Alec could be so. . . functional in the morning. The most he himself could do would be get coffee. "Mm'kay" he murmured as Alec got up and left, to check on their son. He stretched out on the bed, the comforter nice and warm, as he knew the rest of the house was too. Even if he didn't get cold easily, it was always nice to be nice and warm curled beneath the blankets on a cold winter day. Soon enough, his Shadowhunter was walking back into the room, carrying Skylar. Their son's eyes had lost the pigment that all babies' eyes had, and had turned purple, of all things. It was strange, but they were adorable. "Mm. Good morning Skylar" he smiled, sitting up again, the blankets falling off of his bare torso. "Merry Christmas" he knew Skylar couldn't understand him, but that didn't matter. They both talked to him, which was generally what parents did.

"Oh, good, I thought you'd go back to sleep," Alec said, sitting down on the bed's edge. He looked at Skylar's eyes, liking the purple they'd become. He believed it was the magic in Skylar's genes that allowed his eyes to defy logic and instead of going either a blue or greenish yellow kind of thing, they went the complete opposite and went purple. It was quite a nice shade of purple, Alec had thought. His finger absently stroked Skylar's small amount of black hair. So far, it was fair and feathery, kind of like Magnus' hair. He'd probably have more physical traits of Magnus than he would of Alec. "His first Christmas, hm? Oh, before that, he needs to eat."

Magnus shook his head, even if he had been tempted to. Sleep would call to him for the next few hours, but he would be up. "Nope. I'm up, sadly" he grinned up at Alec to show that he was kidding, and not really resenting that he was awake. He knew it would be rude to be angryor annoyed that he had been woken up early. It was Christmas. "Mhmm" he handed a bottle to Alec, "Do you want a coffee?" he asked, getting one for himself, almost able to smell the sugar he knew was shoved into the cup.
