Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Yeah, it does kill time." Luna also rewarded them for reaching a certain amount of how many they killed. She was good at keeping track of everyone's amount. As Arxingall's numbers got higher, she kept making the time of prizes longer, so technically you got less and less as time went on. He supposed it was fair enough. "Some people just kill them and be done with it. Some just do it for sport." There was no point in that, contests and such of who killed how many in a certain amount of time. They respawned anyway quickly.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Mhmm. It can be fun sometimes, depending on what you're fighting, or who you're fighting with. Group grinding is always fun" Azlada grinned, thinking about the double meaning in his words, not sure if Arxingall would catch onto that or not. "We should round up a group and do it sometime" he decided, unsure who they would get into a group. He would be fine with most, but he would put his foot down with Iridescence. No way was he fighting with her.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Grinding is highly enjoyable because most travel solo or with a well known party. People are afraid of being betrayed in here. Pking is awful." Why did his first experienced getting attacked by another fighter have to be when he was young and still training with Azusa? Well, better early on in than later in life and not knowing what it was. Just because he had been pked and had lost his bow and supplies from what the victor received in Red Orc, he had no plans to pk anyone. "Sometimes it's hard to find people useful enough to group grind with." Healers and tanks were needed definitely.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Mhmm. I've never been PKed before, and I don't wish to start now" Azlada wondered what it would be like sometimes, but at the same time, he knew how horrible it was, and how you got stripped of everything, and he knew it wasn't worth it. "Have you been PKed before?" he asked, since the way Arx said it, it sounded like he had. "Yeah, well, I'm sur we could scrounge together a group. Go scouting somewhere, and ask the useful looking people if they wanna come along" he shrugged, thinking it sounded like a good idea.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Yeah, a few times." Arxingall had been mercilessly attacked by people who he had no chance against. Azusa had helped him the first time and had apologized for bringing Arxingall there when he had been far too young to be there. He had tried to replace what he could of Arxingall's, mostly money. The bow couldn't be replaced, but Azusa had gotten Arxingall a set of armor to protect himself better. Arxingall had outgrown that set, but he had it stored away until Azusa was seen again. "You never know how strong they are even when you ask them. Sometimes it's better to let them come to you." Unless all they wanted was a shield for when they needed a mission done, then that was just annoying. Unfortunately, Arxingall always helped them anyway.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Owch. That really sucks. If anyone even tries it now, I'll kill them where they stand" Azlada promised, face serious. He wasn't going to let anybody hurt Arxingall ever again. "Hmm, I learn approximately how strong someone is by watching them fight. It's how I decide who I normally want to group up with. Although, as long as they're decent, and not flippin' fangirls, I'm fine" he shrugged, finding it to be a good system as of yet.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"I turn down fights around here. I've been stalked before just to get a battle, and I've been battled thrice by one person until he could win. He had an excuse every time." He admired his persistence though. He had let him win the third match just because he had other things to do. Play battles weren't harmful, or not usually. Pking was a slaughter thing. Fight them until they couldn't stand anymore. Battling occurred a lot in Alker Harbor, and even if something bad did happen, there were plenty of people to help out. "I don't mind helping out other people. Actually, I try to help people too much sometimes and have been yelled at for butting in." He had thought the kid was cornered, but apparently not...
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Yeah, I get the occasionally, but I always ignore them. I don't bother fighting people. It's a waste of time, unless I'm bored, or the kid is really pissing me off" Az hated being stalked by people for any reason, but if they pissed him off enough he would fight them, either losing or winning, just to get them to leave. "That's the difference between us I guess" he shrugged, "I ignore people who need my help, you actually help them. I think, every man for himself."
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Well, if you did that then we wouldn't have enough people around. If we all followed 'every man for himself,' the Blue Land would be a very quiet place." Luna wasn't up for that kind of thing. She didn't seem to like her lands being antisocial. Apparently she was trying to find a way to fix that though. He wasn't sure how, but she was trying to get people to talk to each other more and to work with each other more. "Sometimes you can get a favor from them. I return the favor when someone helps me. Though I'd help them anyway." Arxingall rolled his eyes. Why didn't he just ignore everyone?
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"This is true. Maybe I'll save a kid or two when I'm around Alkar. Saving people from Leopards is rather amusing" Azlada grinned, even if he had been a kid once, dying at the hands on the monsters in the Ruins. He saw it as pathetic now, but he had been a kid once. Now a hardened (or not so hardened) warrior, he only fell at the hands of the more dangerous beasts in the Blue Land. "I've never actually gotten a favor from anybody" he mused, thinking about actually working on thast now. Those could come in handy sometimes.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"People don't usually see each other very often unless they plan it ahead, and even then sometimes that doesn't work. Most don't remember owning a favor, or earning a favor. Whatever works out for them though, I don't mind." He didn't want to be someone who reminded a person who probably didn't remember him that they owed him a favor. Whether or not they stuck around to complete that favor was something too. "Well, use what you can in the Blue Lands. Everything comes in handy at least once."
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"So pretty much people say they will pay you back, but don't" Azlada stated, making his assumtion off of what Arx had just said. "You should mind. People can't just rip you off like that" he huffed, making a face. Being ripped off had to be one of the worst things ever. One of the reasons he didn't work with people very often. "Mhmm. Well I hope I can come in handy one day" he grinned, looking over to Arxingall.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Yeah, you get used to it." He had gotten maybe one favor back from what he had done mostly. He didn't mind, he didn't expect people to remember him or to remember to pay him back. He usually didn't have much he needed to do when he was promised a favor anyway. He helped them out in his spare time, or made time for them because he wanted to help. No one told him to, and no one told him to give around favors, but he did of his own free will. It made people happy usually. "You'll be of use some day, not to worry. Everyone has a use in more than a few ways."
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Well you've already proved useful to me. You saved my life, even if I didn't want you to at the time, and you helped me get rid of those stupid girls" Azlada grinned thinking about the last one. Even if they were only put off for a bit, they were still gone. Moments of peace from them were nice. "I'm helping right now! Look, I'm being your crutch" he smiled, happy to be helping, even if it wasn't very much.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Yes, you are," Arxingall replied, smiling. "If we do things right then this will be healed in more than three days but less than a week is my best guess." That was him estimating that the wound would heal quickly enough. It wouldn't be this bad all the time. He figured by the end of today he'd be able to walk around on his own if he didn't move around too much. He would definitely not let himself still be healing over five days at most. He'd have to be healing from a major leg wound to not be moving around and getting back into fighting.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Hmm. That's a long time. Maybe, if I will it better, it'll be healed tomorrow" Azlada grinned, looking rather like he had just come up with an ingenious plan to conquer the world. "And keep downing some potions. That should help" he nodded, adding that as an afterthought. He didn't want to be hanging around doing nothing for a week, but he would for Arxingall, if he really needed to. He might leave to kill some things for a bit, but he would keep coming back, because he didn't ditch people.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"You're welcome to give it a shot," the male archer said as he gave a coy smile to Azlada who looked like he was proud of himself. "Sure, potions." He could take a few a day or something, he didn't like drinking too many in a day. They tasted all right, but downing them one after another was annoying taste wise. It was like taking too much of the same taste at once. "You must be used to drinking potions as fast as you can. Have you ever done a contest involving the amount of possible consumption of them?" He had seen people do it, though he had thought it was pointless, it was usually pretty comical.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada grinned at the look he got, deciding he would give it a shot, and maybe Luna would heal Arxingall. You never know what could happen. "Potions are always good. We have them for a reason" they sped up the healing process, as well as gave you strength when you were tired. "Only once. I won though. But all I have to say was that it was huge waste of money" he laughed, shakng his head. That had been interesting to participate in, but it was fun, and he had had nothing else to do.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Well, it seems you've learned from that now, haven't you?" Money wasn't hard to get around the place. Do a few jobs, slay a few beasts, and you have enough money to last a few days. Doing consecutive jobs and storing the money away so pkers couldn't get it was always smart too. Arxingall and Iridescence put away as much money as they could in the event that they might need a large amount of it. He had been surprised she actually listened, but he was glad none the less.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Yeah. As amusing as it is, no more wasting potions for me" Azlada sighed, having learned his lesson, yes, but it had been entertaining to watch some of the others struggle with downing that many potions. He had pretty much opened his throat and just tossed them down, easy enough. "Wasting money in the Blue Land was a very bad idea" he wished he was more able to do that sometimes, that they lived in a more stable environment, and didn't have to worry every day.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Well done with that revelation." Contests and betting were interesting and all, but for Arxingall, only to watch. He imaged watching Azlada taking a drinking contest of potions being interesting, just to see how he got them all down as fast as he could. "Wasting money anywhere is a bad idea," Arxingall said, "especially if there's no steady income around and you don't need to put your life on the line for a day's pay." Somewhere safer maybe it might be okay, but in the Blue Lands, maybe not.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Oh I know" Azlada smiled, ignoring the sarcasm. Wasting money would be fine if you had more than anybody needed, but in these lands, there were very few people who had that. "I wish I could waste money. There are so many nice things out there to buy. Like nice new armor, and new weapons, and fancy things and such off of people" he sighed a bit wistfully, wishing he had money he could just throw away. "I guess risking our lives for money is the only thing we can do around here. Either we die of starvation, or we die to prevent it.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Dieing to prevent having to struggle through life? Sure, the easy way out, but it solves nothing in the end. Everyone has to go through it. It only stops you from going through your life." How many people in the Blue Land killed themselves or let them be killed because they couldn't handle the pressure? To Arxingall's knowledge and a little use of logic, not that many. There wasn't a point when every single person had to do it to get by. Times didn't get hard in the place they lived in because everything stayed the same. Everyone kept up what they were doing and nothing bad would happen. "Greed is what makes us desire more than we need." Elves and humans were both greedy, it was unavoidable when one person had more money than the next.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"No, dying while trying to survive. Dying from the monsters killing you while you try to get money to survive" Azlada clarified, shaking his head, he walked rather slowly around the little town, just to get Arxingall up and walking around. They got a few glanced from their hands clasped, but he didn't care, merely twining their fingers together as they walked. "Yeah well you have to admit it'd be awesome to be that much money. Everyone is at least a little greedy" he shrugged, sure that everyone had a bit of greed in them.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Of course. The Seven Deadly Sins, as the Goddess says we've all got. Each person has a little more of one than the next. Myself, I'd say it'd be pride." His pride was a higher quality on him than greed, envy, gluttony, wrath, definitely not lust or sloth either. He could only think of him being prideful, as most proud fighters were as they worked themselves up in the world and got better and stronger. He for sure couldn't say that all fighters in the world were too proud of themselves for their own good, but some of them refused treatment from others unless they were better than them.
