Re: A Sight to See
"Hmm, not really," Nathaniel said, now that he thought about it. He hadn't been as upset about the fact that he was moving compared to his previous boyfriend. He did have feelings for the other, just not as much, it would see. Or he healed faster, either or. He used to see him as much as any partner would, going out on dates and such, celebrating anniversaries or birthdays. He had enjoyed his company more than the last girl he had been going out with anyway. "He was all right, but he was a little clingy." Clingy wasn't bad, but it just wasn't that great all the time either.
Re: A Sight to See
"No?" Draylen tilted his head to the side, curious about that. If he had to move away from all of his friends, including a boyfriend, he would be greatly upset. He had been upset when all of his relationships had ended, other than the first one, but moving being the cause of the end would be depressing. "Ahh. Clingy girls are more annoying than clingy guys though, I'd bet" he said, basing this off of how clingy his only girlfriend had been. None of his boyfriends had actually been clingy though, so he didn't have much to compare to.
Re: A Sight to See
"Hmm, you got that right. They sure do want a lot of attention," Nathaniel said, rubbing the back of his neck, recalling the way a girlfriend used to hang off his neck and tell him to tell her he loved her. His most recent ex hadn't been like that necessarily, but he did like to be coddled and junk. Nathaniel didn't always mind, but it got excessive when he needed a little space for himself once in a while. Still, his boyfriend had been cute. That was probably what saved him from being dumped early. "Well, I'll order the coffee this time. Do you want the usual?" he asked, thinking of getting something new. Dray could pick the seat, whatever got them farther from the corner ghost, he expected.
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen nodded, wishing there were less girls in A&F for that reason alone. He was somewhat scared to be in there alone, if there was no witnesses if someone tried to rape him or something. With girls like that, there was no telling. "Ah, yes please" he said, pulling his money out of his pocket and holding out a five. "Thanks" he said brightly, just happy to be somewhere with Nath and not sitting at home with his cats with nothing to do.
Re: A Sight to See
"No problem," Nathaniel replied, taking the money and putting his own out. He'd grab something cold and something that sounded like it had a chocolate flavor to it. He had a thing for chocolate, unfortunately. "So, you pick the spot, It'll take but a moment." He left the American male's side to go to the counter which only had a few ahead of him. Not as many people in here as the first time, so if Draylen did have some sort of conniption, then not as many people would be witnesses to it. He ordered Draylen's usual, and got something to try out. Chocolate and banana because that was generally a good combination.
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen nodded, turning to scan the store, picking the farthest available seat from the ghost, who wasn't there currently, but who knew when he would show up. He pulled out one of the chairs and sat down, stretching his rather short legs out in front of him, glancing up to wait for Nathaniel, who was ordering. It was never a really long line in here during the day, since most people were working or something.
Re: A Sight to See
Nathaniel brought back their orders from the counter, giving Draylen the change back from his coffee. He sipped his expectantly, finding the taste just fine, though it might as well have been a milkshake or something. Speaking of, he kind of wanted one later in the week. He made a note to stop by some place that had good milkshakes. Maybe if this worked today, Draylen would go with him. "You should try something new out some time. It's kind of fun." Some people were like children and didn't want to try out something new. Nathaniel had gotten over that years ago.
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen smiled as Nathaniel approached with their two drinks, and his change. "Thanks" he accepted the change, slipping it into his pocket and taking his coffee. "Yeah? Maybe I will next time" he said, shrugging. He wasn't very adventurous with his food, but he wasn't completely against trying new things. He could always have Nath to help suggest things anyways. "Do you ever drink just plain coffee?" he asked curiously, since every time they were there he got something different.
Re: A Sight to See
"Sure, in the morning I have just plain coffee, or cappuccino. Whatever I hunt down in the cupboards first." Black coffee, just untouched by milk or sugar, was quite the wake up call for him in the morning, or maybe something sweet and happy to wake him up. "I usually dump a mountain of sugar and cream in though, I like it sweet." Probably not very good for his body, but he only braved the bitter coffee when he needed to wake up. "I like sweet things though. Bitter isn't much fun."
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen laughed, resting his forearms on the edge of the table. "Yeah? I'm not a fan of cappuccino" he admitted, taking a sip of his coffee. "Mhmm, this is true. Coffee can be bitter sometimes, but it's a bit of a nostalgic thing for me. I normally prefer sweet though" his personal favorite thing ever so far, was lollipops. He had a stash of them at home, and ate them quite often.
Re: A Sight to See
"Hm, most younger people enjoy sweet things while they can taste it to the full effect. When you're older, I guess you're supposed to like things you didn't like before. Adults say it's your taste buds maturing, but I've been saying it's just your taste buds dying off because you're getting older and you can't taste what you hated." His theory, but there was probably some logic to the taste bud thing. He wasn't a science major anyway. He took a sip of his cold ice drink, setting it down and looking at Draylen to confirm that he did want to do this. "So..." he began, "I was wondering if you wouldn't mind if I asked you something?"
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen laughed, thinking about the theory that the Brit seemed to have. "Well, that makes sense whether it's correct or not" he said, shaking his hair back from his face, as he did too often. "Hm?" he tilted his head to the side, wondering what kind of question he was going to be asking. "Yeah, sure, go ahead" he shrugged, usure if there was anything he would really mind him asking. He was an open person about most things.
Re: A Sight to See
Nathaniel clasped his hands together nervously to keep his fingers from drumming on the table. "I was wondering if...err, you wouldn't...well, no, this is a bad way to start a question." He huffed out an anxious breath. How to start now, if the first time hadn't been the correct approach. "Do you like me?" he asked, deciding to figure out if his offer would be accepted first instead of rejecting of a relationship beginning that Draylen might not even be interested in.
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen was confused as to why the older male seemed so nervous all of a sudden, but he said nothing, simply waiting for the question. The stumbling over words didn't help much, but then Nath finally got his question out. His eyes widened slightly and he could feel the heat creep into his face. Was this why he was asking things earlier? He was rather excited to see what this was about now, but he didn't want to let himself down if he was wrong, so he tried to calm down. "Uhm, well. . . ahh, yes" he replied, avoiding eye contact, glancing to the side.
Re: A Sight to See
((No school again buddy! The weather is awful, and this time I didn't go outside to wait for the bus that isn't coming))
Brightening, knowing he probably wouldn't be turned down right away, Nathaniel knew he could ask Draylen what he originally wanted to ask him. He cleared his throat nervously. "So, would you be interested in, ahhm, going out with me?" he asked, not staring at the table or the walls, but trying to make eye contact, or something close to, with Draylen. "I like you, and I guess you like me back. Would you want to...um, start a relationship?"

Re: A Sight to See
((luckyyy >.< ))
Draylen fidgeted slightly, shifting his gaze back to Nathaniel when the other started to speak, brightening visibly as the question formed. He bit back a grin, which he never had been good at. "Yeah. That'd be great" he said, grinning fully now. He had thought about that a few times recently, but just assumed that the other was straight, but this was excellent. He was sure he couldn't be happier right now.

Re: A Sight to See
"I, ah, really?" Hardly believing his luck, Nathaniel smiled. He wasn't usually the one to do the asking out, but he thought it had gone fairly well when he just asked out Draylen. Sometimes he found it hard to believe all you had to do was ask and confirm. "I mean, we've only known each other for a little bit, but I feel like we could be good together." Maybe it was just him wanting it to work, but he could feel it that Draylen was the right person for him.
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen grinned right back at Nathaniel, laughing slightly at his question. "Yeah, I'd love to" he said, nodding and taking a sip of his coffee. "Yeah, I know what you mean, but two weeks isn't very short a time anyways" he said, shrugging slightly. He was having a hard time believing that Nathaniel had actually asked him out, but he accepted it quickly, leaving the glee he felt behind.
Re: A Sight to See
"I haven't had an American partner before, and I think I'd rather it be you than anyone else," he said, glad he had met Draylen because the male with Sight could sense other abilities around them. Working at A&F helped a bit too on that part. They wouldn't have met if Draylen hadn't spotted them at the clothes store that they both worked at. It could be coincidence, or maybe fate was working it, at least the Tarot reader thought so. "I'll have to write this up as a date to remember now," he commented, taking the day to mind. Who knew how long they'd last together, as long as they both tried to make it work.
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen smiled, thrilled with the words being spoken. "Really? That makes me. . . really happy" he admitted, grinning widely and laughing slightly, in spite of himself. "I say the same, even if I don't know any other British people" he said, setting his coffee down on the table. "Yeah, I guess I'll have to too" he nodded. The only time he had had an actual one year anniversary with somebody had been his last relationship.
Re: A Sight to See
"Maybe I'll take you to see England some time," Nathaniel said thoughtfully, the idea of taking Draylen to see his home was a nice idea. They could spend maybe a week or so there. It would be a while before he could actually plan this, until he got out of school to be exact. Depending on any other obstacles that arose along that time would vary if they went or not. "It's nice there, a few differences here and there." They had a queen too. When Nathaniel first heard the American National Anthem, he had thought of their Anthem instead.
Re: A Sight to See
"Yeah? That'd be really cool. I've never been out of America" Draylen grinned, the thought of going to see where Nathaniel was from very interesting. It would be cool to travel somewhere like that, and going with the other male would make it even better. "I bet. And I hear you drive on the other side of the road, and car" he said, tilting his head as he waited for confirmation, unsure if this was correct or not, but it was what he had heard.
Re: A Sight to See
((....You're online at 5:30 in the morning?))
"Mhmm. It threw me off when we came here," he said, "because you have the right side and we leftie it." His parents didn't mind it as much as he did, maybe becaues he was still sore about being dragged over here. He should have done more research on America before coming here, it might have been easier, but then, he had been too irked about it to actually accept he was going to America, therefore didn't think it was necessary to look at it ahead of time. He was used to things here more or less now. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't thrilling to him either.

Re: A Sight to See
((ummm, NEVER))
"Wow. . . " Draylen trailed off for a moment, trying to imagine that. "I would probably cause an accident or somebody. Does the excuse 'I'm American' work on the Police there if you crash?" he asked, mostly kidding, but unsure if Nath would have any idea about that. It seemed like a fairly good reason, but then again, he was almost nineteen, and he thought different than adults. He smiled slightly as he took a sip of his coffee, glad that they were having such a casual conversation after agreeing to start a relationship, instead of things getting awkward as they often did.

Re: A Sight to See
((It said you were this morning))
"Maybe, maybe not. Most likely not." He could use the excuse 'I'm British' if he wanted, but didn't think it would really work. Foreigners eventually learned right from wrong in the differences of countries. "Guess it depends on who you run into." Some of them were pretty strict, some were a little lenient on little things. Driving on the wrong side of the road wasn't very easy to pardon, but it was nearly worth a shot to try to use the American excuse. "Different cultures and rules of each country. It's really something."
