she grinned,taking a moment to calm her own breathing even as she looked up at him. '' you don't have to hun.. its just.. first time i have had someone react like that.. it merely stunned me thats all. '' it felt good to feel his arms around her, closing her eyes she relaxed completely now on him. She wasn't sure her body could move even if she wanted to.

'' mm if that is your response to a bite there, i am a bit curious to figure out how you would respond if i bite in other places'' teased, enjoying the massage, he was nearly putting her to sleep, she managed to crack her eyes open to look at the nearest clock, which happened to be the old dinky watch on her wrist.. '' gah.. sunrise soon. '' mumbled, giving a slow yawn. '' there a lock on the door?"

He raised an eyebrow at that comment about the biting elsewhere. "...I'd like to see you try, love." And for that he pinched her clit, evilly.
He was a bit tired himself, and finally withdrew from her lovely body, and spooned with her. "Yes, three locks." He nuzzled into her neck, and pulled her up close to his torso. "Lights out?"

she sucked in a breath sharply when he pinched her before she glared at him.'' keep it up and i am gonna have me a tied up vampire to play with. '' grinned, bitting her lip when he pulled out but relaxed again when he spooned with her, closing her eyes and smiling she snuggled in close, even managed to get the blankets up..

Feeling his nuzzling her neck she glanced at him before closing her eyes.. '' if you want them out its fine with me. i can easily sleep either way. ''

He laughed warmly, then reached up to turn her light off, then his; grateful they were the only two on. Then he snuggled back under the warm blankets with her, and kissed her neck gently. He rested his cheek in the crook of her neck and sighed contentedly.
"Sleeping in the dark is one normal thing I can still enjoy from my days as a human."
He tightened his embrace around her middle, then whispered into her ear. "...I love you."

She smiled, glad he snuggled closer again after hearing the soft clicks of the lights being turned off.. '' hmmm i agree.. though like i said it don't bother me but it is still... a good thing. i can barely remember my days of being human. . '' She felt his embrace tighten before hearing the whispered words.

Taking a moment before she turned around in his arms, sliding her own arm around his waist and snuggled closer,draping a leg over his thigh as she got comfortable. looking up at him she lightly kissed him.. '' i love you too. '' it was nearly a whisper, almost afraid to say it but she was never one to hide her true feelings.

He grinned in the dark. Even in settling down she was provocative. He kissed her back sweetly, and cupped her jaw as he did.

She smiled, closing her eyes as she slid her arms around him, '' well glad to hear it.. cause i assure you i would kick your backside if you do make me regret it. '' teased, glad to hear him say it though which made it alot more easier not to worry.

Taking in a deep breath she slowly released it, nuzzling his neck lightly before she stopped moving all together. her breathing eased as she slipped into a light sleep, which got deeper the longer she slept. Only few times she barely woke was when the barge was in motion, or she would hear loud movement outside the door. Being that the sun was out however and the fact that her body was used to being in dead sleep during the day, she hardly registered any of those noises.

"Oh and I'm sure it would be quite bruised." he chuckled. He had every faith that she could waylay him--she was older than he after all, by several centuries.

He watched her fall asleep--his eyes, of course, those of a nocturnal predator. She was so beautiful; and as she slept--yes, the expression was old, but it was true--she looked like one of the angels he painted.
He pondered that. No, not like an angel he'd painted. She was far too amazing for any artist's hand to capture with any level of accuaracy enough to please him. Not even DaVinci would have been able to, in his opinion.

What he didn't realize was that this thought process was one of someone who was much more in love than he yet realized.
He kissed her cheek, and then settled down, finally falling asleep himself, lulled into peace by the rocking of the barge on the waves.

After several restfilled hours that passed, Rosalyn stirred slowly, giving a slight grunt when she felt as if she was being tilted to one side then to the next.. Confused at first by the rocking, but after several minutes she forced her eyes open , even in the complete dark she could see, and glad for the fact that no windows where in the room, she knew it was in the late afternoon, on a barge and by the movements, the sea was going through one of its angry spells with a storm.

It took her a moment to become fully aware of her surroundings, and of the body next to her, smiling she glanced over at Chris, watching him as he slept before leaning up on her elbow, gently brushing some of the hair from his face she studied him, her smiling growing when she remembered quickly what they had just done. Though that smile turned into a frown as her stomach began to roll., She definitely was not used to the motions of a barge on the sea. Who knew a vampire could get sea sick?.

Being careful not to wake him she silently slipped out of the bed, nearly falling over when the barge rocked again. She had to bite her lower lip to keep from cursing when her bare hip caught the sharp corner of one of the pieces of furniture. Finding her bag she brought it back to the bed just so she could sit down, again swallowing several times to keep from getting sick she dug around in the bag. Glad for the fact that in her time of living she managed to create the only drug that would have a lasting affect on a vampire for more then just two hours. '' bloody sea hates me..guess its what i get for not liking to fly in planes'' sighing, and keeping her voice low she found the small pouch that housed the syringes and several viles of her brew. It wouldn't knock her out but it would settle her stomach. She had taken it a time or two when she had fed on bad blood, blood that was usualy drenched way to much with alcohol or narcotics.

Getting one of the needles ready she waited for a moment before jabbing it into her hip, giving a slight grunt of pain before injecting the stuff into herself, She felt the relief immediately. She had to glare over at Chris though, lucky bastard wasn't sea sick at all.'' geez wish i had his strong will '' replacing the items agian and burying them in her clothing she layed back down and closed her eyes, rubbing her temple. now that she was awake she couldn't get back to sleep. So decided to look over one of the maps of the area's they would be going, pulling it out of the bag she scanned them over, mentally making a check list. She had her area's she wanted to check but she also had Chris's idea's as well.. Every now and then looking over at chris to make sure he still slept peacefully. Once again she began to dwell on how she managed to find a good man like him.

Ever the typical man, Chris was, of course, oblivious to his love's plight. In fact, he almost literally dead to the world--minus the pun--for the sea had such a relaxing effect on his system that his normally ever-keen senses were reduced to practically nothing. He didn't even wake to use the bathroom. His mind so heavily laden with sleep, it was almost as if he were drugged. He did notice the absence of her warmth beside him, but being as he preferred sleeping alone--due to his well-paying profession--his foggy subconcious simply dismissed it. He rolled over then, and was solidly asleep again in barely seconds. Between the rocking of the sea and the exhaustion Rose managed to instill in him--something none of his human lovers could do, he was a lost cause if there was a fire.

He did, however, manage to get the blankets down off of his torso, though from his waist down he was still covered. The humidity of the stormy afternoon was making him oncomfortable and a little sweaty. But soon he was just fine again, and didn't wake until a few hours later, the pattern of his breath rising before he flicked one eye open.

she was glaring at him again when she noticed he was waking. how the bloody devil did he sleep through all that? she was astonished by how dead asleep he had been. Considering twice she had been up and both times she got thrown against something, the last time she actually had sworn loudly enough to wake the dead. well, obviously not him.

She was already back on the bed again and just folding the maps away and of course glaring at him once more for his abilities to sleep soundly like that.When he woke she was settled agianst the bed, rubbing slightly at a new bruise on her hip which would be gone within a few hours.. '' have a good sleep?" she kept her voice pleasant, even managed to stop glaring at him as she stretched out, She was wrapped up in one of the sheets, having yet to get her clothing, considering she didn't feel like it yet. '' you know.. you sleep like a drunk. '' grinned. poking him slightly as she leaned close to him. '' bloody storm is driving me nuts. ''

"Hm? Storm?" he asked groggily, then heard the thunder outside. "Oh. That storm." He sat up and stretched, the sheets pooling in his lap as he did. "Well, I've always slept well on the sea. It's always so relaxing for me."

He looked at her, then quickly noticed her battle scars from her ordeal. "....I see your day was otherwise not so relaxing." When she got in close, he kissed her, then rubbed her shoulders. "Sorry to learn that."

she frowned, kissing him back while trying to figure out what he was talking about atleast until she noticed the few bruisings, grinning she shrugged'' hazard of trying to walk around when the barge is being shoved about.. i will live. besides, i did relax, and look over our maps and such.. '' she glanced at his own bag then back at him'' and got a good look at some more of your drawings while you slept.. don't worry i put it back where i got it from. ''

she reached over and clicked on his light, now that he was up, blinking a few times to allow her eyes to adjust again she leaned up.. '' soo then.. what do we do while we wait?"

"You went through my drawings?" he chuckled. "Heaven help you having to go through all those pages of anatomical structures."
But he wasn't angry. In fact he was flattered.
"As for what to do, I have no idea how your clever little mind works." he teased.
"I think perhaps, before we do anything else, I should get some clothes on? Or shall we just lie around for a couple of hours and be lazy?"

She grinned. '' hey i enjoyed looking through them, they are really really good. should be framed really '' She looked him over slowly , really not wanting him to put any clothing on but she wasn't going to stop him. '' mmmm up to you hun. .. '' loving the fact that he thought her clever , she glanced away. wondering what the hell got into her these past few days since apparently she couldn't stop blushing.. and she never used to blush until she met him.

'' hmmm well we can lay around until the sun goes down , then i want to go up.. see the night sky out in the ocean.. its something i have never experienced.. '' that and since her stomach was settled she really wanted to see it before the drugs wore off.'' hmmm and i am not not hungry just yet. so we can wait on a snack or two.. '' leaning over she lightly kissed him before tugging the sheet off herself. '' atleast i grabbed my clothes earlier and set them closer. ''

He grinned and laughed. "Well, I suppose we can put off dressing until we go on deck." he said, pinching her bottom playfully.

He shoved the sheet in his lap off, but just leaned against the headboard, watching her. "And if, as you seem to, you like the sketches, maybe when this is over and we get home, I'll let you see some of my more finished work; i have a few paintings I havn't sold."

thinking for a moment about his paintings before she smiled.. '' yea i would definitely love to see them. art in color is just as good as the ones in black and white. '' leaning on her side she reached over and lightly slid her fingers over his chest. '' you know.. i used to sketch.. in my earlier years.. didn't have the patience for it though.. glad you do. '' She glanced over at the door, hearing more people running about , talking about how the rain was letting up.. '' well.. atleast it won't be too wet when we go up .. . besides i think the worst of the storm passed.. you don't mind going out there with me do you ?"

She knew the moment the sun went down, she could feel it in her, the relaxing of her muscles and easy feeling of her instincts.. '' hmmmmm well come on then.. maybe we can dodge some of the workers and find a nice spot for just the two of us.. i hope the stars are out clear tonight. ''

Chris too knew exactly when the sun had set, and arose to clothe himself. "Let's go then." he said once he was done up in asimple but elegant, tailored black outfit. He offered her his arm.

she looked him over once he got dressed, '' mmmm delightful. '' grinned, sliding her arm in his, she was only dressed in her usual, tight hugging black pants with a silk red tank top. and of course her normal shoes to wear. leaning against him she opened the door before tugging him through. '' wonder how many people are on this barge?.. do they ummm.. all know what we are?" she knew his one friend did but as far as everyone else, she had no clue and that made her a tad bit nervous.

"My dear, no shoes are necessary. The shipping barge part is only his cover. Basically, his fleet is a cruise line for supernaturals. There's even a pool in this one, I beleive. And it's all inside the ship, so sunlight's never a problem. The man charges a raunchy fee, but his vessals are worth it."
He smiled and let himself be tugged through the the door, then regained his composure.
"probably about two hundred passengers at most, fifty to seventy five crew, I would think. Come, I'll show you."

'' a pool? oh damn and here i didn't bring a bathing suit. '' teased. relaxing completely now that he confirmed everyone on the barge was well.. as unnatural as the two of them.. she slid her fingers in his , enjoying the feel as she scanned the few people they just passed.

'' mmmm? well first i want to see if the stars are out, then we can go and peruse the rest of this place.. i want to see the pool later if you don't mind.. and what other supernaturals?"

He grinned wickedly. "...No bathing suit required either. Preferred, but not required. And even still, I took the liberty of...well, doing a little shopping when we got our supplies last night."

He guided her up onto the deck, which unlike the elaborate underbelly of the ship was all industrial, with semi-boxes stacked on the deck. "Well, there are weres, a few other vamps but not so many--he knows how territorial we are. There's some changelings, a few pixies, and a couple of nymphs, probably."

'' nymphs?.... those creatures that are ummmm.. going at it all the time?" atleast thats what she heard they did.. she had never seen any just yet.. looking around she smiled.. '' well good on the very few vamp's.. i don't feel like getting into arguements over the territory issue.. as for the weres.. atleast they can try and get along.. well up until the moon is out anyways.. '' she glanced up , taking in a deep breath as she got a good wiff of the outdoor air , smelled fresh with the sea of course.. '' mmmmmmm ''
