It didn't surprise her that he'd caught on to it. "....Well, I hate to break the mood... but I just realized that the last few times we've made love it's been without protection. We're taking risks; I don't think either of us are ready for it if we concieve."

He went still at her words, blinking in complete surprise as well as realization that she was right.. '' ahh hell .. '' he could just kick himself for being careless, what on earth had gotten into him?... her.. thats what.. sighing he looked to her and gently traced his fingers down her shoulder and arms, trying to soothe her even when on the inside he was panicking but also trying to figure out a solution.

'' looking down at her he gave a small smile, glad that on the outside he seemed pretty damn calm..'' what should we do?.. hmmm well .. only thing we can do... just figure it out when the time comes. i plan day by day love.. if you are pregnant, we will work it out slowly , no rushing into it. considering we do have nine months if you have concieved. Sighing he rubbed his eyes before smiling. '' well.. we are both financially stable.. '' he glanced to her through the corner of his eye. '' and we both have a good place to live. not like he or she is going to be homeless. '' rolling to his side , he lightly nuzzled her neck.. '' mmm more i think about it the more i like the idea of you being with child. especially if its mine.. and before you ask.. no .. i don't have any children from anyone else. '' he had been asked that many times from other women and his answer was the same. this would be his first if she had concieved.. which he had a feeling was a very high chance, do to her season and all. '' you afraid of being a mother ?"he glanced up at her face now. a question he hadn't meant to ask but was curious to know. last thing he wanted to do was freak her out.

Not quite the answer she'd been expecting, but she really wasn't sure what she'd been expecting anyway, so she accepted his answer without question.
"Awefully diplomatic words, my love. But I am grateful that if we do.... it would be your first. That knowledge is reassuring."
She curled up into a fetal position against him, wondering if they'd ever get the treasures moved, let alone follow thier plans.
"...Really?" she asked him, as he finished explaining that he sort of liked the idea of her carrying his child, if she was--unfortunately, they both agreed that the odds were greatly in favor of her catching his seed. She had no way of knowing what day in her ten-day cycle she would ovulate, but she was certain that his sperm would live for a long time within her. He was a demon after all, and a very healthy one at the ideal breeding age.
"Well, I must admit, the idea does sound nice, the more I think about it. After all, whether we like it or not we have been stuck together for the rest of our lives--something I wouldn't change even if I could, now. I love you too much now."
She trailed her fingers lightly over his powerful chest, smiling softly and watching them as she did so.
She thought about his question a few minutes, then replied, "...Sort of, yes. I don't think I'd be ready, or be very good at it. I have no experience with children of any kind. I wasn't even permitted to interact with the Pharaohs' many children. They beleived me the daught of the keeper of the dead, after all. They feared I'd drag thier hiers to the Underworld."
Her nail traced a pattern onto his taunt flesh, as she continued to think.
"...But, I suppose I would learn quickly what and what not to do. And... at least I won't be alone like my mum was."
She lifted her gaze to his then.
"....Yes, I think I'd like to have a child with you, if indeed we have concieved. And if not, certainly later down the line when we feel more prepared."
She nuzzled his neck. "...If we do, and it's a male..... I think maybe I'd want to name him after my da, just like I am."

he smiled, nuzzling her neck and lightly kissing her.. '' i am a realist hun.. if it happened well then.. nothing we can do about it but work with it.. mmmm after your da?... sounds good to me. '' smiled, nipping he shoulder lightly. '' we need to get up and move those treasures hun.. think we have been procrastinating enough.... you know you can stay here and bathe.. all you gotta do is show me which ones we are moving tonight and i can easily move them myself and be back in no time. Scy grinned, and nuzzled her mate affectionately as he nipped her shoulder. Then she rose into a sitting position, gave his hand a squeeze, and said, "Alright. Come on then. There's six sacks, and each one's heavy."
She got up, and so as not to torment him, she wrapped a shroud around her waist, so her legs and bottom--obviously very arousing for him--would be covered. She knealt down when she found her bra, and shrugged her shirt off for a moment to put it on, then donned her shirt again.
Now fully covered, she grabbed a clip off of her vanity and clipped her hair back. She turned to face him, smiling at her handsome stud. "So, have you decided what you're going to eat tonight?"

he grinned, watching her get dressed before he followed her, doing the same and stretching.. '' hmm heavy? that won't bother me much. i can carry just about anything hun. Scy chuckled, and tucked the rose he'd given her thier first night into her clipped hair. "Of course I remember, love. And the movie starts in three hours. Dinner reservations at the Asian place after. I was just curious."
She blew him a playful raspberry, then scotted onto the stairwell.
"I left them down in the aquiduct tunnel. They're marked with red tags--the most dangerous items. just be sure not to touch them directly, like you told me our first night at your home. THose things carry curses of damnation. luckily though, you shouldn't have to take them out of the sacks, so you won't have to touch them, and I don't have to worry about you touching them."
She realized she was rambling, but she was feeling jubilent and excited to spend the evening out with him.

He grinned'' well good i can't wait.. and nothing wrong with being curious. '' teased, laughing when she blew him a raspberry. '' careful, love. i may retaliate for that. He was enjoying her ramblings and didn't mind it at all. From the next room, Scy laughed full heartedly. "Sweetheart, in the last few thousand years the only treasures that have moved have been the ones I've forced to move. You have nothing to fear, my thief."
she stripped down again, and waded neck deep into the aquiduct, thinking. "...Hmmm.... No, I think that's it. If I think of something else I'll reach you through telepathy, if Ican track down your aura across the planes. I've never tried interplanar telepathy before. But with my necklace, I should be able to project far enough for you to hear me... I think."

he grinned and shrugged'' i was just making sure, i doubt you have come across some of the ones that move on their own like i have. '' shaking his head he shrugged'' and you can try but don't try too hard, don't need you passing out or something from the extra exertion. '' teased, with that he headed to the bags, figured it would take three trips which would be easy enough as he grabbed two of the heavy bags, mindful to keep them completely closed and not to be tempted by them, before jumping the planes, , he did this two more times, making sure they where stored properly before he locked the vault up again before going back to her home.

Stretching slowly he sighed. '' phew.. making several trips like that wears a man out .'' shaking his head he smiled to himself as he headed to the area she was bathing in.or had been where he had left her.

Scy's eyes followed him lovingly as he left, the affection and desire burning in them. Oh, by all things natural he attracted her, tugging both her heart, her mind, and at he body. How often did a man capable of all three of those attractions come along?
In her case, only once.
When he jumped the planes, and she was alone once more, she took a deep breath and let herself sink into the water, allowing herself to think.
She's been resigned to live out the rest of her natural life alone, isolated in these forgotten sands, guarding her small but valuable and omnipotent treasure until she died at last.
And then, he'd come along. She recalled the first time she'd laid her eyes on him, reporting for the first day of his class. She'd been surprised entirely to catch whiff of something that wasn't human.
Thanks to her wolfen blood her nose, able to detect a six day trail through the sand, even during or after sandstorms and monsoons, had deciphered his scent like an open book. She'd been able to tell within fifteen minutes that he was a highly dangerous male fox in a human form, who'd seen much more than his fair share of combat, and who was old and highly experienced. She'd scented the rose that even then he'd had on his person, allowing him to be fully armed should any trouble arise. She'd even been able to decipher the age of his human form, the climate he'd come from, and the fact that he hadn't had a woman in a while.
All within fifteen minutes.
It was then she'd set herself on high alert in case this newcomer into her territory turned out to be trouble.
And instead, he'd turned out to be more of a godsend than anything else, and here she was, dreaming of the future at his side, being his partner in crime, in battle, and every other aspect of his life. Even contemplating having a child or two with him.
She smiled, her face lit by the dingy and diffused lighting of the water, and she slipped into a vision, of a young boy running around her temple with her, his father nearby, grading papers while she herself either prepared thier next meal or pursued some of her creative hobbies, or maybe be playing with her son.
She opened her eyes, which had closed during the vision, and the images faded into the watery stillness as her body reminded her that she needed air. She had sunk down, sitting against the rocky sides of the duct, and now she gathered her feet beneath her and kicked to the surface again, casting out her spent air and drawing in a fresh one.
Water dripped down from her eyelids to trickle down her cheeks, and drop from her lips and chin to thier source in the water below.
Scy climbed out of the water, walking naked through her home and up the worn stairs to her second floor bedroom suite, and proceeded to complete her toiletries before dressing for the evening.

Later, to her thrill, she heard his voice again, and went downstairs.
"...Seems that a lot of things I do or are related to me seem to wear you out, love."
She said this as she leaned against the rough cut door jamb leading to the aquiduct. What she was wearing was perfectly suited to a vixen--a red burgundy cocktail dress with a slit in the left side, the leg with her tattooed ankle, leading almost all the way up her thigh. One shoulder was completely bare, the other with a graceful half-sleeve of lace. Her hair was up--blowdryers were wonderful things--and a single braid hung behind her right ear, some soft bangs from the left. A balanced but erotic look, the emerald and white gold necklace popping out beautifully just above her tempting but not overly revealing cleavage. A pair of gold bangles adorned her right wrist, and her makseshift wedding ring her left hand.
She smiled at him fondly, watching his eyes for the expected trailing over her form.
"Do I please your eyes, King of Thieves?"

Upon hearing her voice he looked over to her, ready to reply before his eyes widened at the look of her. he was pretty much shocked., mouth open with being speechless before he shut it and cleared his throat, his eyes slowly looking over her tall slender form. . He barely even registered her first words on things she did to tire him., He almost had an urge not to let her out of the temple.

shaking his head to clear it he grinned, '' naw. just the transporting several items like that really zaps a man's energy.. '' he looked her over again from head to lovely little foot before moving to stand in front of her, reaching up and lightly trailed a finger over her temple. '' 'mmm lovely sight you are.. though.. there seems to be something missing.. wonder what.. ahhhh i know. '' he gave her an innocent look as he slipped something in her braid before giving it energy to grow root, the stem of the rose carefully wove through the braid, while the rose bud pushed its way out of her hair to bloom brilliantly.. '' red rose to match the dress.. now it you look just perfect.. '' leaning down he lightly kissed her. '' puts me to shame really .. now i think its my turn to get dressed don't you think?.. try not to distract me though or we will never get out of this temple... though i am not saying thats a bad thing. ''

She shuddered at his touch, smiling. The growing of the rose through her braid, however, stole her breath. She felt some heat in her cheeks as she blushed, taking his hand into her own.
She lifted her chin when he offered her his kiss, and she both accepted and returned it, not with heat, but definately with passion.
She giggled softly. "My love, no one is perfect, and hardly do I shame the King of Thieves in matters of attraction. But I appreciate the compliment."
She smiled and let his hand go. "Getting dressed is a good idea. I'll be waiting down here while you run up to the bedroom. If anything distracts you, it will be your own thoughts my love."

He grinned, lightly kissing the tip of her nose.. '' ahh but your perfect to me hun. relax..'' he gave a soft laugh as he headed up the stairs. .'' mmm that won't stop me from coming down . so i think that will be a good distraction'' teased, though he hardly had anything good to wear.

he dug around before finding a pair of his black dress pants, luckily not wrinkled with a white shirt. again not wrinkled .. '' mmme just out of curiousity hun.. do i need to shift forms? dunno how people will really react to me being.. like this.. and wouldn't want anyone jumping me and getting you all jealous. '' He had to ask, as he pulled his shirt on , and took a moment to get the button's straight and what not..

coming back down the stairs he smiled , looking her over again . '' man oh man i am not going to get tired of seeing you like this.you look just lovely... i am getting a little worried that some men might try and take you away .''

Scy giggled, then went to sit down while she waited for him. She listened to his beautiful voice waft down the stairs, then Well, if you can find some way to hide your foxly features then no, you won't have to change back. Hell, may be a good idea for you not to be seen with me as SHuichi, given our circumstances. And no one will have the ovaries to jump you, my dear, with me around. be sure of that."
Scy std up to greet him when he came back down. "...Damn you're sexy. And don't worry," she said, giving him a kiss. "Who could I possibly want more than my King of Thieves?"
She gave him a hug then, and then said, "Now let's hurry up and go. we only have forty-five minutes."

he grinned'' well might be able to wear a hat... or have an illusion that i don't have ears and tail. just the silvery hair. '' smiling he ran his fingers through his hair. '' mmmm i might believe that.. but my aura always makes them wanna jump me. '' teased, leaning down an dlightly kissing her. '' uh huh i am hurrying. come on lets go. '' he reached over and grabbed his jacket, which would help cover his tail as his ears flattened down, again helping with the illusion of not having any ..

" hmm forty five minutes should be enough anyways. since beings like us tend to eat rather quickly and alot. '' shrugged, sliding his arm around her waist once his jacket was on.

She smiled, then gave his ears a scratch. "Dinner is after the movie, love. Remember?" She returned his kiss. "And though I'm sure you could find a way to make it work, I just can't see you in a hat. A cloak maybe, but not a hat." She licked his chin, thenheaded outside with him. "And of course, reynards and thier sexual auras. No wonder I'm so suceptible to you, fox boy."
She let him escort her away from the temple and into the city, looking off at the desert sunset from time to time, humming something from her northern past, and eager to spend the night out with her husband.
When they reached the buildings, she noted with possessive satisfaction the many gawks the two of them recieved. Luckily the deepening shadows only aided in the illusion, and when they reached the theatre, she squeezed his hand as they waited in line.

he grinned' i knew that.. '' teased, enjoying her attentions even as he lead her away from the temple and into the city. he ignored the gawking looks he got from some of the women , considering his eyes where only for her. he smiled as they stood in line now at the theatre, his arm still around her waist, his hand every now and then stroked her hip. '' so what movie did you want to see again?" he wasn't sure if they had decided on one yet. he was just content to be with her.

"Well, either Season of the Witch or Thor. Which one are you for? Or do you want to see something else entirely?"
She was enjoying the subtle attentions he was giving her hip, and smiled up at him as the line moved slowly foreword.
Then she whispered something she knew only the two of them could hear.
"...I'm glad you came out like this. I've been given and incredible gift, and I'm going to show him off as much as I can."

he grinned, leaning down to nuzzle her neck lightly , placing a gentle kiss on the spot he felt her pulse. '' mmm season of the witch sounds good. oh? well i love it when you show me off. '' teased, continuing to play his hand lightly over her hip, as the line shortened he looked up. and paid for two tickets to the movie before directing her inside. '' now remember. behave your self while we are in a dark room'' he was messing with her as he handed her , her ticket. '' popcorn and soda?"

Scy grinned. "Popcorn sounds excellent. Maybe a box of candy, and some toasted almonds. Diet Mountain Dew... and what are you going to get?"
She was teasing, but serious at the same time. "Get a date pack. cheaper to get two sodas and a large popcorn in that than seperate."
She eyed the Dippin' Dots, but ignored them. If she was going to have any dxessert tonight, it would be tall and handsome and all hers.
She pretended to pout when he told her to behave herself. "Aaaalright, if I must." she teased.

'' teased, knowing she was just teasing, as he went up to the counter he easily got the pack, paid for it as well as got a few of the desserts she had been eying, just in case she got a little hungry while they watched the movie. . handing her the things he grinned.'' there now we are all set.
