Jay stayed inside for the rest of the weekend as well only going out when he needed too. He grabed his bag and walked to the garage placeing it in the passenger seat since it was only a 2 seater. He then started the car and headed to school. Jay pulled up in black crysler crossfire parking across the lot. He gathered his back and then got out of the car shutting it before looking around as well. Eaisly spotting Shannon and waving at her.

Shannon spotted Jay across the lot. His vehicle stood out more than hers did, although it wasn't a contest. His just was sportier and the model wasn't as common as a truck.
Sarah came around to Shannon's side. "Hey, what's wrong?" she said and followed her sister's gaze to see Jay across the lot. "Ah!" said the girl and smiled. She started to walk off towards the school.
Shannon heard the words, "look out" screamed into her head... a warning from Demidra.
Sarah made it all of two steps when there came the sound of squealing tires. Shannon looked to see a Chevy Suburban taking the turn into the parking lot too fast and skidding out of control. The SUV was coming towards both of them but Shannon had little time. Selflessly, she grabbed Sarah and hauled her back and hoisting the other girl over the lip of the truck so that her friend would be safely inside the bed of the Ox. Sarah was safe but Shannon was not and the Suburban was skidding towards her very fast.

Jay seen everything as if it was in slow motion just before the suburban would have smashed Shannon Jay was right there grabbing her and craddling her in a crouch, his hand comming up and stopping the suburban instantly denting it in..."You ok?" He says

She didn't know what hit her. Shannon felt something but not from the direction she was expecting. In a blur, she was on the ground and looked up to see Jay holding her while pushing back the Suburban before it could crush either of them. The back end of the SUV slammed into the car parked next to the Ox (thankfully not damaging it).
"Jay? How did you get over to me so fast?" she asks.

He looked to her...."I was on the way over here before it happened..." He says as all the kids started in their direction. Jay then stood up and left as the crowd as kids came rushing over as well as an ambulance pulled up. Jay then walked over to his car getting inside it and taking off going to his house..."Damn it...Stupid stupid...." He muttered to him self.

Shannon looked into his eyes. He had been standing far across the parking lot. She knew he was hiding something. But before she could say anything, Jay was on his feet and gone just before the bystanders could arrive. She stood up... confused but okay. She turned towards the Ox and stepped on the running boards... "Sarah?" she said, looking over the edge of the truckbed. "Are you okay?"
Sarah sat up... everything had happened so fast. "Yeah... I think so." She had a little bit of a bump on her head from how she'd landed in the bed but nothing serious.

(( I don't see a reason for them to go to a hospital if there's no Carlisle equivalent in the story, do you? Although, if you want to think about adding one for the story depth... or inviting someone else to, I could go along with it. Too bad there's no Alice equivalent, tho Sad

Jay parked his car in the garage getting out and going inside before heading to his room looking out the window..."damn it....i guess either way could have ended bad..." he says as he laid down on his bed.

Jay didn't come back to school for 3 days. He had to stay away...maybe she would forget it happened...He walked in to the science class room sitting as his desk like he normally would waiting for her to come in.

(If you want to thats fine...or could do the whole ambulance checked them all out and were fine thing either way works for me))

((Well no one else wanted to play so I guess we'll make do with what we have))

When the EMTs arrived, Shannon insisted that she was fine. She really wasn't harmed and the last thing she wanted was to be taken to a hospital for X-rays that might raise further questions.
Sarah had suffered a bump on the head and was treated on site by the EMTs.
The driver of the Suburban however suffered some lacerations and was taken to the hospital.
Shannon looked around at the student body watching... not seeing Jay and not expecting to.
Throughout the day, she had to repeatedly tell classmates and faculty that she was perfectly fine. Only Sarah knew any of the details that Shannon did not share.
Shannon couldn't wait for the school day to end. She didn't say anything about the accident over the next three days. Although, she wondered in her mind if Jay was okay... and why didn't he come to school. Was he angry with her?

Shannon came through the doorway of the biology classroom and stopped when she saw him sitting at their table/desk/whatever. She sighed a little and went over to sit beside him. She didn't say anything but the silence felt awkward to her.

Jay looked up as she walked into the class room and sat at their table. He stayed silent for a few minutes before looking to her..."Are you ok?" He asks her as he then looked ahead...He knew she was he didn't know why he was asking..

Shannon looked over at him when he spoke. "That question is a little vague, I think," she answers quietly so as not to be overheard by other students. "If you're talking about the accident, I was not hurt. Thank you. Did you mean something else?"

No one around the school was saying much about the accident. So no one seemed to really have seen Jay's superhuman feats... except for Shannon and she has said nothing.
"I'm okay, Jay," she says.

"I see..." He says as he then leaned back on the chair..."Alright then....." He says as he was then quiet threw out the class and the rest of the day. When the final bell rang he started to head out the door for his car. Looking over to see Shannon. He didn't know if she seen anything or was just keeping it to her self....But he thought it best not to persue it.

After the bell, she was slower to get up her things and head to gym class. She felt a bit disappointed that Jay decided to ditch... though she wasn't sure why she cared. She sighed and focused on the class. They had moved on to basketball and that was something Shannon enjoyed. Although, not as much as soccer.

Jay was gone for another few days from school and into the weekend. He hunted when he needed too and every so often he would stand in the tree line watching the their house...Just being curious of course. He would only stay a few minutes to hours....Some times he lost track of time before heading home and reading some old books.

Demidra, Shannon's little dragon partner, was also a huntress. She preferred to forage for her food rather than burden her human friends with her upkeep. While out hunting, she came across the sweet scent near the house and she became wary. Normally, Demidra had an easy going disposition unless she felt there was a threat to her human friends. She stayed near the house when that scent was stronger but remained out of sight.... ready to act.
However, she was also curious about this vampire that saved her partner's life and felt some gratitude. She wasn't ready to meet him officially yet.

Meanwhile, Shannon didn't understand it but she felt a disappointment when Jay wasn't in school. She hoped he'd be there and the school days dragged on when he wasn't. She tried to shake it off... thinking to herself that she couldn't afford too much familiarity with the people here, lest they find out her secrets. She immersed herself in her horses, school, etc.... She tried her best to ignore Jay, though politely greeting him or just small talk like any other school mate. He didn't seem to say much to her either.

There was a fall season dance coming up in November the Friday before Thanksgiving. Some of the boys at school asked Shannon out to go with them and were politely turned down. Sarah, however, shyly agreed to Jason Cooper... so the girls were planning a little trip to Port Angeles to check out the nearby larger town and shop for a dress for Sarah. The girls went on the Sunday before Halloween, leaving Drew to look after Emma for the day. To be nice, Shannon also invited Kelly Morgan from school to go with them so she could shop for a dress. She'd be going to the dance with Adam Sanders.
The girls soon found out there was really only one department store in the town to buy dresses from.
So Shannon waited outside the dressing rooms while she waited for Sarah to come out with the next dress possibility. Through the outside window, she could be seen as Kelly came out with a teal colored number and Shannon seemed to approve that color for Kelly.
