She walked with Maverik thinking how much had happened in such little time. Then she noticed the speed that she walked at. It was faster than her old walk that was sure. She smiled as he led her away from the cave and into the world.

Maverik slowed himself down as they crept through the now empty town. "I think I was made here..." He said I he continued to hold her close. "Stay with me, I don't think we're alone..." He said looking around.

Pere felt a shiver as they entered the empty town.
"Will you tell me more about you?" she held his hand and looked up into his eyes.
"Who's here?" she whispered moving closer to Maverik's side so her chest touched his.

Maverik started to smell the foul smell of garlic, it gave him a nasty headache. "Breath through your clothing." He instructed her, hoping she wouldn't vomit or faint. Maverik his chest armor and swung it over her body, quickly fitting it to her as best as he could.
As he smiled in satisfaction to know she was safe, an arrow peirced his left shoulder. Maverik hissed like an angry cat, the stip was steaming as if it was hot and water had just been spilt on it. The tip was silver. Maverik was injured, but he was old enought to take few silver strikes. "Run..." Maverik said pointing to a big house on a hill.

Everything happened so fast. She lifted up her sleeve and started to breathe through it. She could smell the garlic that once she breathed in with pleasure now it choked her.
"What are you doing?" she said as he fitted his armor to her small frame as best he could. Her eyes widened with shock as an arrow flew past her and into Maverik's left shoulder.
"Maverik? Oh my god, We have to get out of here, I have to tend to that." she didn't move when he told her to run.

Maverik wached as arrows flew around them, he was afraid to lose her. "Run!" He screamed, the fear overwhelming and turning to hate. He unshiethed his sword and started to run through the houses, screams of slaughtered men echoing through the arrow fire. He immediatly ran, house to house, slaughtering anyone who had a bow pointed at Pere.

Pere seemed frozen for a split second. She could see the panic in Maverik's eyes. She watched him run into a house and she heard the screams. She couldn't take that and so she ran. She wasn't sure where she was running to but she ran because that's what she was told to do. She stopped at a clearing and looked down on the village her eyes wildly searching for Maverik.

Two men came from the houses, aiming thier bos at Pere. Maverik lept through the air, taking them both out. More men revealed themselves, arrows wizzing past them as Maverik threw himself into them to protect Pere. Maverik looked into Pere's eyes, his fear almost a reality of losing her. "Run... Realy fast.... Into the house.... You'll be safe....." Maverik then remembered his promise to Pere, that he would never leave her. "I promise." He said kissing her sweet lips as a bit of blood started to drip from his mouth. "Run."

She froze like a startled rabbit. She watched them draw their bows. She watched Maverik take she shots for her. Her lips trembled.
"Maverik." she slung his arm across her shoulders and ran with all her strength to the home where he said she would be safe. She lay him down on the floor and looked at his wounds.
"Come on Maverik. Be strong" she held back the pain in her voice.

Maverik looked up as he saw her, his arm raised to point at a lever. It was a lock down lever, one that would start gears to turn and run metal plates over all the doors and windows. Maverik then tried to pull the arrows out of his body, but was too weak.

[Tierra]

She got up and pushed the lever that he had pointed at. Then kissed him deeply as she pulled the arrows out. She knew that could make more damage as she pulled them from his flesh but she hoped so much that it would save him.
"Maverik?" her eyes danced across his face.

As she pulled the arrows out, the wounds healed around the entrence, leaving a few black scars. Maverik was still fading from consiousness, he was weak and would fall into a deep sleep. This was his bodies way of staying alive until he got got more blood. Maverik's body slowly started to seem scalier, as though he was going to dry up.

[Tierra]

She wasn't sure what to do till she remembered a burning she felt in the village. Blood. She drew her blade and cut across her wrist holding it over Maverik's mouth so the blood could touch his lips. "Please" she pleaded.
