Cody was in a panic he couldnt hear Ren and couldnt find her. He was worried about moving anything in case he caused more damage. But he eventually heard his name.

"Rene" He called again. Then he saw the flash and rushed to it. "Rene are you okay?" He paused "Okay stupid question bt how hurt are you?" He licked his lips nervously. "Can you breath well?"

[Rose for the Hunter]

"I can breath a bit but I can't feel one of my leg either. can you help me get this rubble off me?" she asked coughing as she choked slightly and tried pushing the bit off from her rib cage and breast bone. She whimpered as she failed to get it off of her andput ehr daggers away so he didn't kneel on them and hurt himself.

She winced as it fell on her stomche cutting her "Ouch" she said closing ehr eyes breifly she looked to him "sorry, I just cut myself as well" she said

Cody gasped but nodded, then feeling foolish since she couldnt really see him "Okay its good that you can breath but I will get this off of you" He knelt down as she went "ouch" Then he knew he had to work fast. "Alright lets get this off of you." He struggled but he was able to get one peice off then checked on her again,

"How are you doing?"

"I'm in one peice" she said breathing a little easier she had one arm over her stomch to stop the bleeding but tried to help as much as she coudl feeling helpless. "I really am glad I have you here now" she said she could see him a bit and used her other hand to move a bit of ruble closing her eyes...
"Hey can you see me?" she asked him and kicked off a small bit of rubble off herself making sure none got near the cuts she had. Well as best as she could.
"I'm fine If you can move one bit of rubble I can get out, I think" she said "I might need abit of help though" It felt strange to be saying thsoe words after so long, she hadn't asked for help because there was never anyone there to help her.

Cody wanted to keep her talking , some how he knew that someone that could have hit their head needed to keep talking, He wasnt sure how he knew but while he tried to get the other debriee off of her. Finally he succeded and then knelt down to see the wound.

"We need to clean this but first we need to stop the bleeding" He knew that she wasnt used to asking for help because neither was he. "How are you feeling"

"Dizzy" she answered sitting herself up a bit keeping her hand over the huge cut to try and stop the bleeding as best she could. Releived to see him again though she wanted to stand up but couldn't feel one of her legs it wasn't broken but had a few dozen bruises on it she had her good leg proped up slightly and moved ehr arm so he could look at i but quickly covered it as it started bleeding again.
"yeah your right, I should have some bandages in my pouch you can use them to stop the bleeding and we'll have to go to the base nearby there's some water near it as well and it's a good shelter" she said knowing she should stop talking now or it might make the wound worse than it already was so she became quiet and tried to stand looking at him right in the eye she asked for help.

Cody wrinkled his forhead concered that she was dizzy. Somehow he knew that that ment she had lost too much blood. He got close to her again and found her pouch. He held it to hier wound to stop the bleeding then looked in the pouch for some medical tape so he could tape it.

Once that was done he would help her to the next shelter. "That sounds good, you are going to need some water now do you think that will do?" He asked about his taping job.

She nodded smiling weakly trying to get to her feet. She put her pouch back to one side of her as she stood up steadying heerself a bit holding her head blinking a few times before she lifted her head trying to focus on something, anything to make sure her vision was steady.

"The next shelter is not a great distance but might take a while to get to" she said speaking softly still trying to focus her eyes a bit keeping herself rather steady considering how much blood she had lost. She asked him to help her keep standing and pointed directions to the shelter and sat down inside and took out another heat rod in order to cook some of the food she had stored there not moving a lot at all. She tried not to do anything else She moved her hand slightly seeing it was bleeding a bit again and cursed in her head.

Cody helped her up very worried about her. He shook his head and tried to pick her up. "I can carry your but it will be slow" He wanted to help her and his leg as nearly healed so he could do it. He placed her down and watched her take out the heat rod.

"Rene try to rest but dont fall asleep" He did his best to make the meal then noticed that she wa bleedinglaid her down "We need to stop this"

"Tell me something I don't know" she said trying to sit up again but just gave up she shook her head trying not to drift off because of the blood loss it made it rather hard for her but she hung on for a while.
She moved her hands taking off her daggers and guns as well as her pouch and rumage in it as she stayed lying down and tried to pull out the bandages and medical wool she had. The first thing she did after everyone vanished was get some medical suplies form the old hopsital.. banadges and such things were basic but they were very useful...
She tugged his sleeve with her other hand as she got the medical wool out "getting suplies from the old hospital does help, one of the first things I did" she said and proped herself up on her elbows to keep herself from falling asleep. She was slightly scared but tried to keep herself calm knowing that panicing wouldn'thelp any situation.

Slighlty smiling, least she still had her humor. He helped her get the medical suplies out. "Okay lets stop this." He held a peice of gause there and pressed lightly. He looked into her eyes and smiled softly. "Well I guess this is pay pack you helped me and now I am helping you" He sighed "Is the hospital still standing?" He asked softly.

"Maybe there is something there that can ease the pain and depending on how long, maybe more medicne" He had a feeling that it would be too late for any blood products but anything else would be helpful.

He handed her a bit of the food. "How are you feeling, stupid question I know but still curious"

"That was two years ago" she said and just lay back down before he presed the guaze against the wound and winced biting her lips slightly. "it's still standing but I don't know if anythings not out of date and you never owed me anything company is more than enough for me" she said "and it's just a nasty gnash I'll be fine after it's healed up" she said still winceing at the slight pressure still but endured it blinking her eyes a few times so she didn't fall asleep and shook her head slightly and sat up slightly to eat some of the food "it's good" she said slightly suprised but smiled "A lot better and it's not a stupid question either. I'll clean it out myself and then bandage it up just to make sure" she took another bite "and thank you"
She sat herself up a bit more so she didn't choke while eating "You have to eat something as well ok?"

"Well that sucks, means all the medicne is likey bad" He was clearly disapointed but nodded. "Well it is nasty but I think it will heal nicely" He then blushed when she said he didnt owe her anything he shrugged "Just trying to keep you awkae" He said then winked. "Seems to be working"

He watched her heat while he ate slowly too. "When you all done we will start to the next shelter"

"yeah, I guess, hows your wound healing up anyway?" she asked and stood up a bit shakey and began cleaning the wound carefully after a bit she went back over and sat beside him she noticed he was blushing again and just giggled slightly. " and yes you are keeping me awake" she said leaning against a wall "But we'll have to sleep sometime if we're moving to another base tomorrow and we'll have to get soem more food as well" she said adn then stopped "I should really stop talking for now, cna you help me put the bandages on it a bit awkward to be honest" she said looking away slightly to the heat rod making sure it didn't go out and also for other reasons but wouldn't say.

"My wound is doing good" He showed her to prove his statment. Then watched as she cleaned it. It looked painful but he didnt say anything about it. "Yes we can sleep in a bit" He promised, "We can move tommrow" He paused about the food he wasnt sure where they would get some but he knew that they would.

He nodded when she asked for help. "Of course" He helped her bandage it up, ignoring the butterly feeling in his stomach as he did. "Are you feling well enough to rest now?"

"yeah, thanks again... I feel a lot less dizzy as well" she said relacingg a bit after her finished helping her bandage up the wound. "I know where we can get some food, The old cafes, resutrants and markets had places to store food.. I just fixed them up a bit and they worked perfectly fine so I store any food I find in them" she said "also I smoked meat so it last a whole lot longer" she laughed slightly "We have both just switched role huh?" she said not able to hold back a small giggle as she went through everything that had happened.
"You really have no idea how relived I was knowing someone else was there and finally able to ask for help after such a long time as well." she said a bit sleepily

Cody nodded, less dizzy was a good thing. He watched her relax and couldnt help but reach out and try to rub a small smudge from her nose then recoiled his hand with anotherone of his blushes "Sorry about that" He hen nodded to her instructions,.

"I guess you want to do that tommrow?" He didnt think she should br moving much tonight.

He chuckled alone with Rene "Yeah but I like it, means I am not usless" He sighed "I suddenly know some medical things, I wonder if I took classes"

She jumped a bit when he rubbed the smudge off her nose and jumst laughed slightly and copied him by rubbibg something off his cheeks as he blushed "aww you just so.. sweet" she said giggling
"you might have, you certainly did a better job than me and we did have classes at our school, do youremember how old you are?" she asked "and no one is useless" she said this sternly "and it'll have to be tomorrow I'm exhusted" she said sleepily and yawned a bit rather tired after today

Cody winced as she returened the action but then smiled. He did however blush yet again when he called her sweet. "Well so are you" He said wth a bit of a giggle.

"I only did better on your wound because I could see it" He sighed and then thought... "I think I am 15 or 16 he said with a sigh"

"Well you rest and we will go tommrow" He said in reply for her being exhausted "Sleep well Rene"

She giggled slightly and nodded grabbing a blanket from his bag and handed it to him before she grabbed on for herself "don't forget to sleep as well ok?" she said and dimmed the light of the heat rod or atleast tried before she settled herself back down beside him under her blanket and just drifted off slowly.

After a little while she was fast asleep curled up slightly and breathing softly with the ribbon back around her wrist sicne she didn't want to loose it and her small silver locket rested in her palm beside her head slightly curled aroudn it were her fingers the small delicate chain still resting around her neck.

He took the blanket with a "Thank you" Then sighed and nodded "I will sleep was well" He promised. He was tired too, but it was so good to have someone else" He watched her fall asleep with a curious look on his face.

She was beautiful but he had a feeling that she didnt know, she looked nearly prefect. He laid down and watched her, wondering why she left the rod on but shrugged and fell asleep.

In the morning she graoned slightly and rolled onto her back before sitting up and tying her hair up back in a ponytail. "Hmm, seems I left the heat rod on" she muttered and picked it up before folding her blanket neatly she then put her daggers and guns back around her waist with her pouch cleaning off some dried blood off both her arms and pouch she then shook Cody's shoulder gently "hey, Cody it's morning" she said softly and tugged a bit of hsi hair when he wouldn't wake up.
The sky was still stained in deep oranges and pinks from the new dawn of the day and it looked beautiful.."hey look outside" she said softly
At school a lot of people had found her a bit of a technolodgy nerd. she was extremly clever at times and new a lot about any technology that was put infront her her just by taking it apart and putting it back together as well as firguring out hwo it worked. Also because of her mismatched eyes not many talked to her finding it rather freaky.

Cody slept well but kept a ear out for any sound. He opened his eyes and stretched and looked otuside,. "It looks beautiful" He said softly. He stood and rubbed his face a bit roughly to wake himself up,

He then turned to her and knelt down "How is your wound doing?" He asked softly looking at it. "Now we match we are both wounded" He sighed. The looked her in the eyes. "I must say I really do like your eyes" He then turned away "Sorry guess I shouldnt have said that"

He then sighed again "Do you think you can make it to the shelter, I will help of course"

She laughed slightly as he woke himself up "I'm fine, honestly" she said blushing a bit when he mentioned her eyes "no, i-it's fine. most just find them strange so no ones actaully said they liked them, mismatched eyes make me hard to forget though" she said lowering her head to hid her red cheeks a bit "thank you" she said softly and stood up "Also we're lucky to see that, it' doesn't happen very often so it's always a treat and I'll be able to make, it don't worry ok?" she tightened the ribbon and smiled happily about what he had said about her eyes still.

Cody licked his lips and nodded. "Well thats good to hear" He smiled when she blushed, so he he wasnt the only one that blushed. He nodded as she went on. "Yes I am sure that if I hadnt forgeten most of my past I would defintly have remembered you" He said then he sighed. "The sunrise was so beautiful" He nodded when he said that she would be able to make it,.
