Daniel thought for a moment. "Doesn't the pack need you? Aren't you their alpha?" he asked. "They need a leader... you freed them..." he said. He wasn't sure if he could convince her... he wasn't sure if he really wanted to...

"They can live without me. I've been Alpha long enough." At that point all ears shot up and all eyes turned towards her. "There are others who can stand in my place I'm sure they will do a better job then I" she said looking at no one in particular. "I'm getting to old to be Alpha, they need someone young and strong, not old and weary" she said a little saddened, she would miss the pack.

Daniel looked to her. "What do you mean? You're... not that old." he said. Though he didn't know her true age. He was still a young man, naive at times, but still smart. "But... I guess it is your choice, huh..." he said. "But still... I don't think weary is a good word to describe you. You are smart, quick, strong... you saved me and your pack..." he said. 'You are anything but weary..." he said.

She smiled. "you are just to kind." she said. "I used to be faster, I used to be smarter, I used to he stronger. I can't lead the pack into a dawn of new hope. One day I wont be strong, fast or smart. A cat has nine lives and Wolves? I think I'm coming close to the end of mine" she said. "What are you going to do?" she asked tilting her head a little.

Daniel didn't like what she was saying. She didn't look like she was anywhere near the end of her life in his eyes. Still, he answered her. "I don't really know... back to my old life... wandering. I have the Medallion... I'll have to find a way to keep it out of the wrong hands." he said. "I don't know..." he said. She did look a bit cute with her head to the side like that though... that was another thought on his mind.

"You can't go back to wondering. Not with the medallion. If they wanted it I'm sure they will hunt it down." she said. "Keep it safe" she said smiling to him her head still to the side.

"I will..." he said. He stared into her eyes... her face... she was wonderful... someone... one of the nicest beings that he had ever met. She was strong, brave, smart... he realized, she was a lot like he was. He sighed heavily. "Still... I don't know what to do with it... I don't know how to destroy something this powerful." he said.

She looked back into his eyes and smiled. She was unsure of what she would do if she left the pack. Just run as a child of the moon. "You could try to hide it?" she suggested.

"I've thought of that... but where, it would have to be somewhere out of their reach." he said. Still... he was worried about her. "Don't worry about the medallion... I'm worried about you... where are you going to go... what will you do?" he asked.

"Hmm.... We'll have to think about that." she said. "Worried about me?" she was taken back a little, why would a human worry about herself? "No need to worry about me. I'll go... I dunno where I'll go. To live a human life or wolf life. I can't decide" she said agin letting out a sigh. She didn't want to chose between her forms, to her she couldn't have one without the other.

Daniel looked at her... he had been wanting to ask her... now he had a way. "Well... both of us have no specific direction... both of us are wandering off going somewhere that we don't know... why don't we both wander... together?" he asked. He wasn't sure how she would react, traveling with a human of all things...

"That seems like a good idea." she could feel the others jaws drop. "I shell appoint Coven as Alpha and travel with you for a while." she announced. She wasn't sure how anyone was going to take this, Coven would be angered, the pack would be confused and well Daniel... she guessed he wouldn't mind to much if she travelled with him, he had asked her to after all.

Daniel looked to her. He was actually surprised... He didn't think that she would travel with a human like him. He smiled though... it was good surprise. He did feel as if everyone was surprise... even maybe a bit angry. Their alpha walking off with a human, probably unheard of.

She collected some things and talked to some of the others. Some would go their own way, others would follow Coven. She knew some were angry and some were sad but she knew they would soon move on and maybe run into her once again. They did live longer then most, slowly growing older.

That was something that he didn't know though... how old was this shifter... She said that she was older, they needed a younger alpha... one that was stronger. He thought she was fine... but still, he didn't know. She didn't look that old at all. "Well... should we stay one more day... or start now?" he asked.

"The pack will be moving out before nightfall before the vamps come through the woods. We better move to." she said looking at the other who were also packing up their things and starting to move out. "Where are we going?" she asked.

"I'm... actually not sure... I have a friend... he might be able to help with finding a way to get rid of this thing." he said motioning to the medallion. "It will take a bit to get to to him, but... well... he might be able to help... he is a wizard of sorts... he is experienced with these sort of things." he said. "I'm... actually surprised that you are coming with me... but... glad..." he said. Somewhat reluctantly.

"Then to him we shell go. I'll make sure we get it to him." she said. "I shell return to the pack at some point in the future but for now I will get this medallion to your friend" she said. She smiled "You aren't the only one who is surprised" she said looking around. "I have a tendency to surprise." she said looking back to him.

He smiled... she was returning to the pack at some point. "Will... they take you back?" he said. "After... taking off with me." he said. "You are surprising... in many ways. I think I kind of like that about you. Keeps it interesting." he said. He started to follow her, but he kept close to her.

"Coven will be a good leader if he stays honest to his human form. He tends to let the beast win." she sighed. "I shell keep surprising you then" she said with a laugh. "Keep it interesting" she noticed he was close to her.

Daniel laughed a bit... He felt happy to be with her. Just to be with her, someone to travel with. "Well, if you say Coven will be a good leader, I believe you." he said. "Just hope he can control himself. But if he is smart... then your pack will be fine. Still. I don't believe that you are too old to be alpha. You... must have been a great leader. You saved your peopled for one." he said.

"I hope he will..." she looked down at the ground. "If he leads them astray I will return to challenge him. But that depends if the pack accepts me." she smiled slightly "Too old in wolf years... I was a good leader for a while but it's hard to lead your people when there are collars and chains between us. Saving them wasn't that big a deal... Someone would have done it eventually" she said.

Daniel nodded... "I'm sure you will, and I'm sure your pack will accept you back." he said. "But you managed to... I'm sure that they are happy because of you." he said. "They can keep on living freely... and so can I for that matter, because of what you did." he said. "I would no longer be a human if you had not have saved me."

She thought about what he said. "I didn't get them out alone." she said looking up at him "You did lead them out. You may have not been human if we left it any longer indeed. I forget you are human." she said looking down at her hands.

Her last comment surprised him, she wasn't kidding about surprising people. "Really? I'll... take that as a complement." he said with a smile. "You think... I'm kind of like a shape shifter like you?" he asked. He thought highly of her. "You were the one that inspired that escape. You started it..." he said.
