Daniel looked down at her... she was weak now... very weak and vulnerable. What was wrong with her? Blood loss? Grief? Whatever it was, he needed to help her. He needed the pack... but if one was a betrayer they would only hurt her further... no... he could only rely on himself. He looked to her wrist... that would need to be healed to prevent any more blood loss. He bent down and lifted her, holding her in his arms close to his heart. "Come on... I'll help you..." he whispered softly, encouragingly to her.

She felt cold. "Daniel..." she said weakly, he picked her up and she moaned a little. "I'll be ok." she said. "Lay me down. Go to the pack and order a hunt. I need blood." She said "Tell them I have done the change they will understand. Show them the marks on your neck if they do not believe." she said.

Daniel nodded. He found a soft place for him to lay her down. He softly set her down on the grass. He kissed her. "I'll be back... don't worry... we will get you fixed up..." he said. He didn't know that changing him would have such a toll on her. He kissed her forehead once more. Before running off to find the pack... he would do as she instructed, order a hunt and save her. Get her the blood she needed.

She lay silent, all she could do was watch him run off without her. She wanted to be with him every minute of everyday but now he had her blood she could feel him in herself. She could smell him for hundreds of yards. She closed her eyes and slipped into a deep sleep. She needed more blood in the next hour or she may not wake again.

Daniel got to the pack as quick as he could "We need a hunt organized now!" he said. "She has done the change... but it left her hurt and weak. We need blood for her or she might now be around for long." Daniel ordered. "We need to hurry!" he said.

When daniel came running into camp they dropped there things are moved to him. When he mentioned the change they all threw back their clothes and changed. "We will need to find something big" one said. "We will let you take first bite then Lith can eat and drink. If we get something big we can all eat once you two have finished." they moved into formation. "We will have to be careful Daniel. Without Lith hunting is hard. You need to pull us together and lead us" he said.

'Something big... maybe a bear or an elk...' Daniel thought to himself. He threw off his clothes and changed, there was no time to spare. "Alright, lets go!" he said. He didn't know how well he did, but Lith's life was on the line, if he failed, she died... Daniel started to track prey... something big... he found something... bear tracks, fresh... "Alright... there is a bear around... it looks big, It should work for her." he told the pack. "That's our target..." he said. Daniel had never been on a hunt before, the only one that he had even seen was with Lith, and he had to remain in the cave. But determination would help him through.

One of the boys came forth. "Do you wish me to lead?" he asked in a whisper. "I know you have never been on a hunt. Let me help" he said. The pack picked up the smell of the bear and grew with excitement. They nipped at one another and growled. "Split us off into three sections, a Bear is a hard kill, we need to take it at many sides. The pack will wait for you to signal the kill" he said.

"Alright... thanks... I know it's my first... but it is vital that we succeed." he said. He still wasn't at 100% after Lith changed him, but he needed to do this. Daniel sectioned the pack off thinking of who would work better with each other. He was still weary, one of them might be a traitor. He waited until everyone was in position and gave the order to strike. With the bear in the middle of all of them the plan should work.

He nodded and the pack moved around the bear. When they attacked the bear hit hard sending two members to the ground with bloody marks and yelps. After some struggle they took the bear down. "Go get Lith" one of the pack ordered.

"Right, but you must tend to the wounded, I'll bring her." Daniel said as he ran off. It wasn't long, he sniffed down her scent... it was going to be close. He came upon her fading fast. He lifted her up gently yet strongly in his arms, holding her close to his chest. "Come on... just hold on a bit longer, I'll get you fixed up..." he said calmly to her.

Her eyes were closed but she heard his voice. She smiled weakly. "Is this heaven?" she asked as he picked her up. She was weak but knew Daniel would look after her.

He smiled down at her with her question, but still... it was serious... she was hurt. "No love... now isn't your time..." he said. "But... you are safe in my arms... I'm going to get you the blood that you need." he said as he carried her quickly but carefully to the downed bear.

"In your arms sounds like heaven" she said slowly opening her eyes and smiling at him. Once they got to the kill her eyes widened she felt a thrust deep inside her. Her eyes moved from Daniel to the kill and only the kill. She needed to refresh herself.

Her comment made him feel warm inside. How highly she thought of him, how comfortable she was with him holding her like that. But then she must have smelt the kill... good... she needed to it. He set her down next to the bear they hunted. "Love, take what you need..." he said.

Her eyes winded and she turned then ripped into the kill. She lapped the blood and eat her fill. She couldn't stand because she was so weak. She ate alone ripping into the food then she changed back. She held her hand out to Daniel cause she couldn't stand on her own.

Daniel watched as she ate, she was hungry, and she needed that food... that blood so bad. "How are you feeling?" he asked taking her hand. He himself wasn't feeling too great either, he was so blinded by her needs he had forgotten about himself. How he changed. He needed some food as well... but he would wait until she was properly taken care of.

She stood when he took her hand. Then nodded and the pack looked to Daniel. "They are waiting for you to have your fill" she said then she went and sat down by a tree.

Daniel was starved, his body needed something now... he undressed and changed, walking over to the bear he started to eat his fill, he wanted the other to have plenty to eat so he only took what he needed. "There... the rest is all yours." he told the others. "How are the ones who got hit feeling? We can tend to the wounds if needed." Daniel asked. If they were fine he wanted to curl up next to his love...

She was still pale in colour but with a feed her body started to regain colour. She watched Daniel eat then she watched the pack move in order to get their own fill. Two were wounded but with a feed they would be ok.

After watching them feed Daniel nodded and changed back, getting dressed he looked over to Lith. He moved to her and sat down next to her. "Your color is returning..." he said. Kissing her cheek lightly he looked at her. "I... feel better already. It still hurts a bit, but I feel as if I am fully a shape shifter... I feel... more... I don't know... but It is a relief knowing that it isn't Coven's blood that runs through me anymore..." he said

She smiled as he came over and she snuggles into his arms when he sat down. She kissed him. "Thank you Daniel" she said. "You are truly amazing" she said looking up at him.

Daniel smiled down at her. "So are you... you made me the man I am." he said holding her closer. "We should rest for the night, I'll take you back to the cave when the pack is done if you still feel like you can't walk." he said. "Don't worry... you take care of me when I'm not feeling good... I'll take care of you."

"I'm tired" she said with a little smile. "If you wouldn't mind taking me back when the pack is done that would be nice." she said caressing his cheek lovingly.

"Of course love..." he said. He lovingly sat next to her, feeling her stroke his cheek. He held her in his arm, knowing how tired she was... he would take care of her.

It wasn't too long until the pack had finished. "Alright... lets head back to the cave for the night... we will need some sleep for tomorrow." he said. He slowly stood up carrying Lith. "Come on love..." he whispered to her. He led the pack back carrying Lith.
