"Right... but... maybe just a little longer." he said. "I know we should start early, but last night was rough on them. If I push them too hard... well... they could hurt themselves, or tire out too quickly." he said. "But soon... we will start moving." he reassured her.

Daniel couldn't sleep... too much was on his mind. It would be another hour or so until he would wake them up. He looked down at Lith as she slept calmly in his arms. He smiled warmly. He became lost in his thoughts. He started thinking... wondering what would happen to them before this journey was over. It wasn't long until the sun was starting to send it's rays into the cave. He shook Lith lightly trying to wake her. "Love... we should start off soon." he said to her calmly.

Lith slowly opened her eyes and rubbed the sleep away. "I'm awake" she said with a yawn. She slowly started to get up and stretch. "Should I wake them?" she asked.

"Sure." Daniel said watching her stretch. He stood up as well and started to stretch out his muscles as well... long run ahead of them, he didn't want to strain himself. He watched, wanting to see how a leader was supposed to wake the pack. He would remember by her example.

She let out a howl then gently went round lightly tapping each of the pack members who didn't respond to her call. "Alpha Daniel wishes us to move out" she said.

"Yes." he said standing up next to her. "We have a long day ahead of us... But at least we will get in a good run." Daniel said "Gather up your things and we will get out of here as soon as we can. Two more days until we reach out destination, quicker possibly." he said. They were moving faster then he had first anticipated. He wouldn't be surprised if they reached their goal by tomorrow.

They all packed and changed. "We hunt when we get there" she said before nodding to Daniel and changing herself. They moved fast and were tired when thy found the next stop. The pack then went for a hunt and all fed and prepared for another nights sleep but Lith. She kissed Daniel and cuddled up close to him for warmth and comfort.

With the next day's run out of the way, Daniel was thankful that it was not very eventful, who knew when he would have to face the traitor in their midst. He held Lith close, warming each other with their body head. "Good run today... we covered a lot of ground. We should arrive tomorrow at noon." he said. "This was much quicker than I had first though." he said.

She smiled up at him "Indeed we did. The pack is tightly following you. It's good. They know something is up. I can't wait to get this over with" she said. "We are shape shifters. Things are fast for us. A day to humans is but minutes to us. Time moves faster. This is how I am a lot older the you were" she said.

Daniel nodded, he understood. And when she was in her wolf form, he could see bits of gray... it wasn't much, but it was still there. It didn't make him love her less though, not by any means. "I understand now." he said. "It... is nice really... to be able to move so fast... but sometimes, I want things to slow down... like the nice moments." he said. "Whenever I am with you for example." he said. "How are you holding up on this trip?" he asked. He was adapting to this life nicely.

She smiled. "I'm sure we could make the nice moments slower" she grinned "Your with me all the time my love" she said. "I'm a bit tired but after the last two feeds I am not to bad" she said "And you? My blood flows through your veins" she smiled and kissed him. "I have so much to show you now I know your safe" she said.

Daniel smiled. "I know... I can feel your blood it me... It feels... different... but good." he said. "Invigorating really... like I am truly a shape shifter." he said. "I feel fine... Not winded at all, just a bit tired." he said. "What else do you have to show me love?" he asked her, kissing her lightly.

"Yes, and we will be around our destination by tomorrow afternoon." he said. And he did agree with her. "We should rest that day and get an early start the next. I do not know of this man's hours... when he is awake and when he sleeps." he offered.

"We can make him sleep" she laughed showing sharp teeth. "Indeed your right we will need to make a plan rather then go in teeth and claw" she said.

Laughing lightly. "I know you can, love... but still, it would be best to slip in and then back out of town once we find out what we need to know." he said. "I don't want to cause any trouble... nothing that would get us noticed and cause a panic... the last thing we need is the last of the shape shifters to disappear because of my incompetence." he said. He thought for a moment. He then kissed her playing with her tongue lightly, as she had done to him. "Besides, I do not want to lose you..." he said.

She kissed his cheek and nipped his neck lightly. "If you say so" she said. "The boys have a way out of trouble. Don't worry" she said. She kissed him back "You wont lose me love" she laughed "Not for a few more years".

Daniel closed his eyes slightly feeling her nip his neck slightly. "What do you mean a few more years?" he asked. "I want to stay with you for longer than that." he said holding her close, kissing her forehead lightly, moving back and nibbling on her ear.

She smiled. "Well you never know what might happen" she said. "I'm sure you will be with me for longer then that. Even in death" she said closing her eyes and he kissed her forehead and then moved back to nibble on her ear. She smiled.

Daniel nodded, he knew that she might just be saying that to satisfy him... but he did wonder... how much longer would she live if she was older than he. He couldn't think of living without her... Still, he didn't want to think of such an unpleasant subject. "Well love, you are right... never know what might happen." he said.

"Of corse I'm right" she said with a smile. "Hmmm rest." she said pushing him gently so he was laying down. She sat on him and kissed his neck then rested her head on his chest.

Feeling her kiss his neck then lay her head down on his chest, he sighed happily. "As if nothing could ruin this moment. He put his arms around her. "Gladly..." he said to her calmly.

She smiled. "I love you" she said kissing him then closing her eyes softly. She soon feel into sleep while resting on him, he was comfortable and she was at peace in his arms.

Daniel held her softly in his arms as she drifted off to sleep. He stayed awake a bit, watching the rest of the pack settle down. He watched before he finally closed his eyes. He kissed her lightly so as not to wake her. "I love you so much... he said closing his eyes. Drifting off to sleep.
