He kissed her, her faith in him was touching and encouraging. Daniel felt better... like he would be a good leader. Though if anything was to happen to her, he didn't know if he would be able to go on. Still, he wouldn't worry about that now. He was with her, their children to come. Sitting with the pack... He wished life would stay like this... but he knew things would change, they still had to be rid of the medallion... "Our children will love you..." he said kissing her once more.

She smiled kissing him back. "I need rest love" she said curling up. "I'm ready to sleep" she said closing her eyes.

Daniel smiled... no wonder she was tired... if she was with child now... and her day thus far... he laid down with her as well... bringing down the buck was fairly tiring. He sighed next to her. "Then rest love... I'll be here." he said with his arms around her, holding her, keeping her safe, with one hand still on her belly, knowing that there was life within.

Her belly hurt and her stomach was struggling to keep the food down, she had a slight fever but other than that she slept well.

Daniel held her all night, a bit lightly after feeling the fever, but still holding her. He laid awake a bit, just watching her sleep, watching his mate rest. He prayed to the gods above that nothing bad would happen to her or the pups. He closed his eyes and drifted off to a peaceful sleep.

She dreamt of lupa, beautiful wolf running with her pack. "Careful. There will be a cost for them" she said licking the side of Lith's belly. She awoke and felt a wet patch on her side.

Daniel felt a slight stirring at his side. He was becoming a lighter and lighter sleeper since he has been traveling, especially because if there was any sort of trouble, he wanted to wake and stop it. He looked down at her. Seeing that everything was alright, maybe she just woke. He closed his eyes again.

She shook her head and kissed Daniel, then softly got up so she wouldn't awake him. She changed and went for a run in the moonlight in search for a sign.

Daniel felt her kiss, yet still pretended to be sleeping soundly. He felt her get up and heard the change... she was going for a run. He didn't chase after her. If she wanted him to join her, she would have asked. Daniel decided he would wait for her though. As soon as she was fully away from him, out of sight he sat up. Thinking about the future.

She ran fast to get her strength up. Her pads pounded against the soft earth, she felt pads after her but turned around to see nothing.

Daniel stayed at the camp site. He stood up and stretched. He sniffed the wind, making sure he could still smell her scent... but she was far out... he kept his ears open, making sure that he would be able to hear her just in case...

She kept running till she reached a river. She tried to pick up a smell but couldn't who ever had been here had cleaned the trail they left. She again heard pads but saw nothing.

Daniel stood up and walked around the camp, making sure that everyone else was alright... he took a walk about the perimeter of area that they set up camp. Making sure that there wasn't anything wrong, keeping his ears open, and smelling around.

She ran back to the pack and slowly walked when she was within meters. She saw Daniel walking a perimeter. She walked up to him and nudged rubbed her head against his leg.

She startled him. He looked down at her though, seeing that it was only her he went down on one knee and pet her head. "There you are love..." he said. "Where did you go?" he asked. "Are you feeling alright?" Daniel was a bit worried.

She changed back. "I went for a run." she said "I'm ok" she smiled kissing him to reassure him, then she got up and got dressed again. "You know when I saw you today I saw a father" she said "I saw a man I want to live with" she said.

Her words made him feel proud. Daniel looked to her, and kissed her once. "You... mean that... every word... I can tell." he said with a smile. "That means a lot to me." he said "When I see you... I feel the same thing... that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to live with you until we are called to join Lupa's pack." he said.

she smiled and stretched. When he mentioned Lupa she took a breath and thought of her dream and her run. She kept these from Daniel and kept composed so he couldn't tell she hid anything.

Daniel looked at her and stroked her hair. "Ready to go back to sleep?" he asked. "Or would you rather stay up a bit longer... I wouldn't mind sitting up with you if you want." he said. She looked as if she had something on her mind.

"Sleep sounds good love" she said snuggling into his arms. She was happy in his grasp, safe and warm. "I love you. Know that ok" she said.

Laying with her, Daniel's arms kept her safe. He cuddled her close and kissed her lightly. "I know... I will always know such a thing." he said. "Remember... I love you too... always." he said with a small smile. He closed his eyes, comfortable with her in his arms.

They slept further in each others arms. She couldn't wait till the medallion was gone. Where would the pack be then? Where would they be? She dreamt it all.

The next morning, Daniel woke somewhat early. He didn't stir at all... but simply looked down at Lith, how cute she looked when she slept. The pack was still resting... he didn't know how long the day's travel would be. Still, he hoped that the Medallion would soon be out of their hands.

Lith smiled but didn't open her eyes. "What are you looking at?" she mumbled. She knew he was looking down upon her, she poked her tongue out at him then slowly opened her eyes.

After the initial shock, he didn't know that she was awake. He was able to smile. "I don't know love... but whatever it is, it's too cute." he said poking his tongue out at her. When her eyes opened he looked down into them... how beautiful they were.
