Growling low in her throat, she shot him a sharp glance, before smiling and nudging her horse closer to his, bumping her knee against his as her hand found his thigh again. "You're lucky we're on a highly traveled road, or I would tackle you right here," she said huskily, before something caught her eye, raising her other hand, she pointed at a sprawling mansion far more elegant, and much larger, than Darune's, "There it is. The Moonshadow estate. He'll know we're on our way by now."

Keath smiled coyly at her. "Lucky me. You have to hold yourself back." he said teasingly. "Admittedly, it is hard for me too..." he said. Looking ahead, he seen the mansion. "That's... your father's home?" he said. "It's enormous." he said.

Snorting slightly, she slowed her horse to a walk, not wanting to arrive quickly. "Yes, that is his home," she said with a grimace, "His motto has always been 'If you've got it, flaunt it.' If you ask me, he is just being idiotic." Sighing, she squeezed his thigh lightly.

Keath nodded, feeling her squeeze him lightly. He looked to her. "You know, you make it very hard to resist you..." he said. Looking to her fathers home, he sighed lightly. "How long do we stay?" he asked. "Hopefully the home will be big enough, you won't have to deal with him any more than you have to." he said. He had not met her father yet, frankly, he was a bit excited...

Turning her horse onto a small road leading toward the estate, she rolled her eyes. "That's the point," she said, raising an eyebrow as she slid her hand farther up his thigh, "I don't know how long we'll stay. Probably until he clears everything up, then we'll leave." The mansion was just ahead now, it would only be a little longer, and then she would have to deal with Vladimir, her father. Not to mention her brother's 'greeting' if he was home too.

Her hand sliding up his thigh even higher. He looked to her lustily. "Oh... you are not making this any easier on me..." he said with a little smile. He nodded. "Sounds good. I don't want to stay too terribly long, especially if your father annoys you."

Grinning at him, she leaned over and gently kissed him before pulling back and winking. "That's the point," she said, her grin slipping from her face as she looked up at him, "And he doesn't annoy me, per se. He smothers the life out of me. Blech." Seeing that they reached the gates leading into the mansion's courtyard, she drew her mount to a stop, looking up at the wrought-iron gates. Glancing once at him, she nudged her horse forward as the gates swung open, pale eyes darting around, looking for attacks that were bound to happen.

Keath watched as well. He smiled at her. It was hard to hold himself back... he could 'attack' her, but right now wasn't really a good time. He knew that something was going to happen...

Shooting him a quick smile, she was almost caught off-guard. The only reason she knew something was coming at her was the whistling sound it made as it passed through the air. Snapping her head around, she spotted the speeding javelin heading toward her chest. Widening her eyes slightly, she snapped a hand forward and grabbed the haft of the projectile, kicking her feet from the stirrups as she did. The sheer force and speed of the projectile forcing her from the saddle and off her horse, landing in a cloud of dust. It all happened so fast that to the human eye it would appear as though she had been hit. She had also spotted the origin of the thrown weapon.

Keath watched in horror, it happened so fast... He seen where she landed, he jumped off his horse as quick as he could and ran to her. "Kaia!" he yelled running towards her. "Are... are you alright? Oh god..." he was so worried about her. Just a moment ago... they were talking and joking... now he didn't know if he lost her...

Rolling onto her back she groaned before pushing herself into a sitting position, scowl on her face. "I'm fine, Keath," she said, rising to her feet and picking up the javelin, before adding with a growl and walking around the horses, "I've just got some vermin to fix right up." Looking into the shadowed alcove that the javelin had sailed from, she spotted the form of her brother sitting there and laughing to himself. Hefting the javelin, she threw it back with an intent to maim.

Keath didn't really know what to think. He moved out of her way. Watching what she was up to, though he could guess... it was her brother. "Why did your brother just try to kill you?" he asked her curious. He walked with her, hoping that she wouldn't get hurt... but then he knew her... how hard it was to hurt her... just how powerful she really was.

"Because he is an overbearing ass," she growled under her breath as the javelin was stopped in flight by her brother's hand. Pouting slightly, she turned and looked at Keath, walking over and sighing slightly as she leaned into him with her shoulder. She watched as a pair of human servants walked over and lead the horses away, knowing her brother would join them shortly in the courtyard.

Seeing the servants leading away the horses he put his arm around her, holding her lightly. He didn't know what to make of all this. Her family was odd... and he hadn't even met them yet. He wondered what happened, he knew she missed with the javelin... but still... was coming here a mistake?

Reaching a hand up, she gently caressed the side of his face before drawing his head down and pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. "Don't think too much," she whispered against his mouth before a slight scuff of a boot sounded behind her, sighing slightly, she kissed his lips again before turning and looking at the white haired man standing there. Appearing to be a male version of the half-vampyre standing before Keath. "Kaia, my baby sister," he said with a crooked grin, revealing elongated canines, "Who did you decide to subject to father?" Taking a quick step forward, Kaia pushed the tall man hard in the chest, causing him to stumble back a couple of steps. "You are only older than me by two and a half minutes, you mule-headed lummox," she said with narrowed eyes before returning to Keath's side, "And this is Keath." Looking at the man standing with his sister, he held out a hand to the light-haired man, "Pleasure to meet you, Keath. I am Reyvan," he flashed his crooked grin again.

Keath felt her hand on him, happy again... loving her touch. He kissed her back. Nodding... he couldn't think of much after how she treated him. He smiled. He would just accept things as they came.

Seeing him grin at him, he took the man's hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you too Reyvan..." he said smiling back. He wasn't sure what this man would be like... he seemed insane... but... Kaia did warn him.

Sighing slightly, Kaia reached behind her and grabbed Keath's hand, gently tugging him toward the entrance, just past Reyvan, who she kicked hard in the shin on her way by with her metal capped boots. "Bastard," she growled at her twin as she walked by, "Don't know why I put up with you." Looking back at Keath, she smiled brightly at him, feeling better now that she got a little payback in.

Yelping in pain, Reyvan grabbed his shin in pain, glaring at his younger sister before falling on his ass in the dust. "Ow, Kaia," he shouted at their retreating backs, knowing his shin was broken, and it would take him a few minutes to heal. One thing different was the difference between their genetics. He was more vampyre than human, and she was more human than vampyre.

Keath followed her like a lost child almost. He didn't know what to do... and he wasn't sure if he would be all safe. Though one look at her, her bright smile, it made him relax a bit. She wouldn't let anything bad happen to him. "Your brother is sure... interesting..." he said. He was wondering what exactly was going on between them. He held her hand a bit tighter. He trusted her completely.

Snickering to herself she slowed down slightly before tucking herself below his arm as they entered the grand mansion. "Yes, interesting, and now he has a broken shin," she gently nudged him toward a side corridor, "We'll go to my room and bathe before going to see him." Reaching a pair of highly-polished ebony doors, she pushed them open and led him into a spartan room, compared to the rest of the manor. It was decorated in black leathers and silks where necessary, and polished ebony wood with silver fixtures. Turning to look up at him she smiled in pride at her homey, if slightly dark, abode.

Keath looked around her room in awe. It was beautiful he thought. It looked like he imagined, dark, yet very very beautiful. He didn't need to guess who 'him' was... he knew that he was going to be introduced to her father. He had wanted to meet him, yet was worried all the same...

Looking up at him, she saw the worry swirling around upon his features. Reaching a hand up, she gently caressed the side of his face with her fingertips, trying to soothe his worries away with the simple touch. "You're thinking too much," she said softly, a smile curling upon her lips, "You shouldn't think too much...you may strain something doing that."

He nodded and laughed. "Your right... I'm sure everything will work out." he said, her caress calmed him down. He looked about the room. "Your room is extraordinary..." he said. "Very beautiful... and dark... the way I like it."

Grinning, she turned to glance around her room too, finally allowing her guard to fully drop. Leaning against him slightly, she reached down to her waist and removed her weapon's belt, tossing it carelessly onto a table by the door. Her protective coat quicly joined it, leaving her in the loose white shirt and the comfortable pants. "I like it too," she said wryly, "The colors don't hurt my eyes." The last comment was a joke, and she couldn't help but chuckle at it.

Keath smiled at her laughing with her, seeing her getting a bit more comfortable. He followed her example, removing his more protective clothing. "Hehe... feel good to be home... this is the first time I have actually been welcome in an actual home in a while..." he said.
