The winged elf silently entered the car when he opened the door for her, eventually pulling on her seatbelt while he tried to make his car more clean for her in the back. She didn’t mind putting on her seatbelt since it wasn’t one of those diagonal ones, but she still didn’t care for seatbelts either. In her case, they would probably be the cause of her getting caught or something, but then again, they did help her out in the past, which was why she decided to put it on in the end. Voatana pulled back her hair and looked up at him when he asked her if she was going to be alright with the long drive ahead of them. Now that her hair was pretty dry, it was a bit straighter now, but still quite thick and full. Come to think of it, it had grown pretty long since she hadn't had the chance to hack it back up to her shoulders or something close to that. Long hair just annoyed her sometimes, especially when she was flying. “ Yeah, I’ll be fine--I’m just a bit surprised that cars can actually run for that long….” she said through a weak chuckle. She didn’t know too much about cars after all. “ And no, we don’t have to stop….I’ll be fine….” she said to him with a nod of her head and a small, but reassuring smile. She wasn’t used to having someone actually caring for well-being. It felt strange in a good way. She knew that she wouldn’t feel sick during the car ride like some people would after such a long ride, but it was just the enclosed space that was going to bother her. She would probably get over it though, once they started moving. It wasn’t too bad since she wasn’t squished up with other people.

He smiled and nodded befor starting the car and then backed up befor driving out of the lot and headed towards the highway. "Um may I ask, how did you end up with wings? Or rather, how did you end up like you are? Are you born this way or is it a gene that just ends up finally coming out of sleep or something?" He looked at her then back at the road, he figured it was a bad question to ask but her looks and the way she was just got the better of him, he couldnt help asking cause the more her learned of her the more he began to like her and her company.

Voatana let out a small sigh as he started up the car. Although she had been in a car before, she was still going to have to get used to its sounds again. Her silver hues shifted over to the window when he started to head towards the highway, a spark of interest crossing her optics for a few seconds. She looked back over to him when he asked her the question though. The question didn’t bother her--it was the thoughts of being in that lab that irked her. “ Well…I was born this way, with the wings and all, but I’ve been sort of….altered in other ways….” she said, trailing off as she averted her eyes from him. She didn’t say how she was ‘altered, but during her time in the labs, the scientists had enhanced her strength, speed, and agility a little--although she was always naturally strong and fast--….and perhaps, much more even though they didn’t realize it. She didn’t realize it yet either, but she would soon. " I'm a winged elf, that's why I'm born with the wings...." she added in, figuring that he wouldn't know that she was a elf since she looked pretty human, despite the wings.

He smiled and looked down for a second and looked over at her "Um, i hate to say this and i hope i dont offend you or sound like im trying to pull anything on you but, I must say, your quite a beautiful elf!" He looked back at the road and smiled, he wanted to say it for awhile but finally said it and hoped she would like the comment. After a momment or so he turned onto the interstate and started for the long drive home then looked at her when the car was in a better postion for talking "We`ll be on this road for awhile, why dont you go and take a nap if you want, you can up here or lay down on the back seat, i have shirts you can use as pillows if you would like, I dont want to bore you with crappy conversations on the way home lol"

A slight quizzical look crossed her face when he began his sentence, then she cocked her head to the side, wondering what he was going to say that might possibly offend her. When he finally did say it, her eyes dilated a bit. Wait, did he just say what she thought he said? Did he really find her beautiful?? Well, apparently so since he said it to her. Voatana was just a little surprised to hear him say that though, probably because no one had ever said that to her before. Her light brown face heated up a little to his comment as she looked away for a moment. “ Wow….I haven’t heard that one before--I usually just hear ‘subject’, ‘merchandise’, or ‘freak’….umm, but thanks….” she replied to him, a half smile coming to her face. It was obvious that she liked his comment, but truthfully, she never really thought about how pretty she was. She was too busy to think about how she looked--you know, since she was almost always on the run or fighting for her life. Despite that she had yawned and stretched, she shook her head slightly at his suggestion of taking a nap. “ I don’t mind….talking…haven’t had a good conversation….in awhile anyway….” she said, pretty much dozing off while she was talking. She was way more tired than she realized and before she knew it, she had drifted off to sleep in back seat. The car ride was most likely contributing to the sleepy feeling though.

He smiled as he looked over at her and then pulled a coat over her to keep her warm as he smiled and kept on driving towards home, hour after hour and hour again passed by quickly, befor he knew it he was within a hour from home. He looked over at her and pulled off the road to a gas station befor getting out and filling the car with gas, he walked inside and got himself a cold drink and one for her befor returning to the car. He slowly but quietly opened the door and got inside befor sitting down softly and put her drink in the passenger seat and smiled as he seen she was still out cold, he started the car and continued on the long drive towards home, now easily within a 45 to 1hour left ride.

Voatana curled up into a ball on her side after he pulled a coat over her, actually feeling safe enough to fall asleep like that for once. She slept four about 4 hours, but somewhere around the fifth hour of driving, she was beginning to stir again. Eventually, her eyes opened up about half way, right when he began driving again after stopping by that gas station. She slowly sat back up, stretching slightly, which made her wings stretch out a little from under her windbreaker as well. Voatana spotted the cold drink that he had placed in the passenger seat, but instead of going at it, she turned her head to the front of the car where he was, rubbing at one of her eyes momentarily. “ How long was I out for?” she questioned lowly, barely remembering that she had fallen asleep so suddenly. She pushed her hair back and now decided to pick up the drink that was in the passenger seat so that she could drink from it. She usually felt thirsty when she woke up, so she was literally sucking down her drink as she waited for his response, wondering if they were close to his him yet.

He laughed and smiled befor sighing and looking at her in the rear view mirror "You my dear, was out cold for a good four hours! Im happy though, you slept good for 4 hours which is a good thing so im happy you got some rest!" He smiled and patted the passenger seat again as he kept driving and turned off the highway and a momment later was on a back road which shortly after turned to gravel and was now heading towards home "If you dont mind, please come sit up here with me, you might find the view of were i live rather amazing and hope you enjoy it!"

Voatana blinked when she found out that she had been sleeping for four hours straight. Usually, she would get four hours of sleep in a broken-up sort of fashion, so sleeping straight through the fours hours was a new record for her. “ Yeah, so am I….” she said with a smirk, quite happy that she had gotten some sort of rest herself. When he asked her to sit up in the front passenger seat with him, she easily climbed up to the front, gently taking a seat beside him to get a better view of his home. When she caught sight of it, she smiled slightly and continued to stare at the view of his home, quite relieved that the car ride had went by so quickly. “ It’s a pretty nice view from here….” she commented, finding the sight of his home quite pretty indeed. It had been awhile since she ever even visited an actual home though.

He smiled and pulled up into the drive befor parking the car in the garage, he got out and went to her side quickly, opened her door and smiled as he overed his hand to her and said "Shall I give you the not so grand tour?" He said with a soft laugh, he was happy she came cause he didnt want her alone at the beach by herself. He hoped she would enjoy his home for awhile and get used to the view and surroundings. "If you want, your more then welcome to stay for as long as you desire Voatana, I enjoy your company and hope i do the same to you as well!"

After he opened up her car door for her, she looked up at the hand that he was offering her, slowly taking it as she stepped out of the car. It felt strange holding someone else’s hand, but it was good kind of strange and she didn’t mind the feeling. Without realizing it, she kept a hold of his hand, smiling a bit more when he asked her if he should give her the tour. It wasn’t like her to smile this much, nor was she really used to it, so most of her smiles were little ones. “ Sure….” she said casually, despite that she still couldn’t believe that she was going to be stay in an actual house instead of strange laboratory. Even if the house was run-down and old, she still wouldn’t have minded living in it since it was very rare for her to ever get a chance to stay in a house, so since his home was definitely way better than a small, run-down home, it almost blew her mind away whenever she looked at it. As she began to walk towards his home with him, she shrugged slightly at his next statement. “ I would like to stay here for awhile, but….I’m not sure if I should stay for long….” she said in a murmur as she looked around. “ It’s been awhile since I’ve had any kind of company, but I’m starting to like it too….” she added in truthfully. She was so used to being alone, but now that she had some sort of company, she was starting to like it even though she had preferred to travel alone in the past.

He smiled to himself and wanted to ask her if she would live with him but he knew it was way to soon, something about her was making his heart melt and it was really wanting her as his own but knew it was to soon. He held her hand gently, but firmly to let her know he wanted it, he looked at her and smiled as he showed her room to room, living room which is wha tyou have to enter first, the dining room and kitchen, then the bedroom, were his king size bed was, the females side was everdently unused cause it was flat unlike his side the cover was tossed over but he looked at her and smiled then said "Im glad you came, so um, shall we fix some food or are you not hungry?"

The way he held her hand firmly, but gently kind of made her heart skip a beat for some reason. Of course, she had no idea why and figured that something must’ve been wrong with her heart or something. Who knew. Voatana followed him into the house and throughout, a look a of interest and amazement in her eyes as he showed her room to room, until they came upon his own bedroom, which consisted of the largest bed she had ever laid her eyes on. “ Your house is huge….” she said to him, her silver optics as wide as they can get. She wasn’t sure if his house would be huge to anyone else or just to her because she didn’t get out too much and couldn’t recall the last time she had lived in a normal house, but either way, it was still a big home to her. She noticed how one of side of his bed looked much flatter than the other side, but she assumed that it was because he just preferred sleeping on one side of the bed. Nothing really crossed her mind about it being the woman’s side though. She was glad that she had decided to come along with him--he was pretty cool, compared to the people that she had met. Most of the people she knew were people that were out to get her. At the mention of food, she opened her mouth to reply to him, but instead, her stomach answered for her, letting out a loud growling noise. “ Er, to be honest with you, I’m almost always hungry….” she said with a weak smile on her face as she rubbed the back of her head awkwardly while holding her stomach with her other hand. Unlike most humans, she had an extremely fast metabolism, so she usually needed about 3,000 to 4,000 calories a day, at the norm.

He smiled at her and said "Well then sense we both think we`ll kill each other with our cooking I think we both should pitch in and cook together! If your ok with that?" He smiled and turned around befor going into his room and she heard some stuff being moved around and then a momment later he returned with a box and set it on the living room table and he smiled at her "Well, i had some old womans cloths, no idea why but their clean and i think they may fit you, please if you wish dig through them and find or take whatever you like ok!" He smiled and left the room only to return after changing from his swimming wear to some loose pants and a muscle shirt, showing off his rather well formed arms then he smiled at her and headed to the kitchen to think of something to make for them.

“ Sure, I’ll try to pitch in with the cooking….” she responded to him, still smiling a bit weakly. She, of course, didn’t mind helping out, but she just hoped that she wouldn’t physically harm him with her cooking. It had been awhile since she cooked anyway. She was used to eating all kinds of stuff, so she doubted that his cooking would bother her too much. Voatana watched Leon walk off into another room, eventually coming out with a big box of….something. What was inside of it? She began to ponder on that until she walked up to the table that he placed the box on, looking inside to see that it was a bunch of clothing. When he told her that she could take whatever she liked, she looked back at him, a slight look of surprise on her face. “ Okay, thanks….” she said, figuring that he wouldn’t need female clothes anyway. Come to think of it, how long had she been wearing her current clothes again? She didn’t have any other clothes, so it would definitely be best to change into something else. Quickly, she looked through the box of clothes as he walked off to change, eventually coming up something that she liked. She didn’t know too much about fashion and wasn’t really into it anyway, but she picked out a decent pair of jeans and a simple white t-shirt before she went off to go change into them herself. She didn’t know what to do with her dirty clothes, so after removing the windbreaker and the black tank top that was under it, she left them on a chair in the room, along with her grungy, ripped-up jeans. Then she threw on the white shirt and the jeans. They were a good fit--the jeans were a little baggy, but they were good enough. Voatana walked back out into the living room, her wings neatly folded under her shirt since there weren’t any holes in them…yet. She spotted Leon in the kitchen wearing a muscle shirt and a loose pair of pants, so she made her way over to him, asking, “ Soo, what should we make?” She was only asking because she had no idea on what they could make herself.

He smiled and turned looking at her and smiled again as he looked her cloths over befor saying "You look lovely you know that!?" He turned and looked into the fridge "Umm, well, i dont know really, i havent gone shopping lately so all i got is some chicken breasts and noodles hehe" He knew that was a crappy reason but it was the sad sad truth of it. He looked around the fridge and sighed as he pulled back and looked at her "Look in there and tell me what you think!"

She didn’t think that the clothes she picked were beyond great--to her, they were decent, but still, she didn’t know he was going to say that she looked lovely in them. Did he even say that because of the clothes or because of something else? “ Thanks….” she said with a slight smile on her face, beginning to like all of these compliments. She moved in closer to the fridge, kneeling down slightly to get a better peak of the inside of it. She couldn’t remember the last time she had laid her eyes on a fridge. It was kind of like how she couldn’t recall the last time she had been in a house instead of a cage. When he mentioned that he only had chicken breasts and noodles, she walked in a bit closer to get a better look inside since he asked her what she thought. Then after scoping around for something else, she shrugged and stood straight up again. She now had a chicken breast and noodles in her hands. “ Well, we can whip something up with this…I can try to cook the chicken if you want….” she suggested, a mild thoughtful look crossing her face. God, was something wrong with her? She was wondering that herself when she actually offered to cook the chicken. At least with noodles, she couldn’t really make anyone sick, but with meat--well, that was a different story, so she figured that she must’ve lost her mind or something.

He smiled and leaned in befor whispering, "I was hoping to god you`d ask that, cause i cant cook chicken if it was to even save my life!" He turned and laughed softly befor pulling out a pot from the cabinet on their right then a pan for the chicken, he turned to her and placed them on the stove befor grabbing a glass and poured 2 glass fulls of water into the pot and looked at her with a smile "So um, i have spices in that cabinet up there if you want to spice it up alittle but its your choice really!" He smiled and turned to the oven and closed his eyes, he thought to himself, why is she so amazing to him, why is she so attractive in such a plain outfit, he couldnt figure out why but he knew that he wanted her to stay, and stay as long as she desired with him.

Voatana chuckled weakly at his comment on not being about to cook chicken to save his life. Hell, she wasn’t even sure if she could pull it off herself, but she was going to give it a try. After Leon placed a pan onto the stove for the chicken, he mentioned that there were some spices in the cabinet. She nodded slightly to him and once she placed the chicken into the pan to get ready to fry it, she swiftly made her way over to the cabinet and pulled out a few random bottles of spices and seasons before she rested them onto the counter next to the stove. Carefully, she examined the stove’s structure and finally reached out to turn on one of the top burners, the one that the pan was under the pan. Okay, this wasn’t so bad. The stove was doing most of the work. When she felt that the chicken was cooked enough on one side of it, she turned it over and allowed the uncooked to side to begin frying while she started topping the cooked side off with the various seasons she had picked. Perhaps she wasn’t that bad at cooking as she thought she was.

He smiled at her as he turned the water on for the noodles as he went and started setting the table up for them to eat on, after a few moments the water was boiling and he began to put the noodles in befor stiring it quickly. After a few momments of cooking the noodles were taken off the stove and strained quickly befor put back into the pot were he added butter and alil bit more water befor stirring in the flavoring then smiled as he slowly took it to the table as he stirred it slowly. "No idea what the seasonings are Voatana but it smells damn good!"

Whether he didn’t think that he could cook or not, Voatana thought that the noodles were starting to smell awfully good. It could’ve just been her hungry thinking for her though. She usually began to think that anything smelled good when she was hungry--well, almost everything. When the other side of the chicken looked cooked enough, she turned it over and lightly seasoned the other side before she turned off the stove, placed the chicken on a plate….and paused. The chicken breasts were kind of big, but despite that, she placed them on two separate plates for the both of them. She knew that she would be able to eat an entire chicken breast to herself, but she wasn’t sure about how much he ate, so she just decided to leave the second whole chicken on his plate as well. Eventually, she brought it over to the table as he did the same for the noodles, a smirk crossing her face when he commented on the chicken. “ Your noodles are smelling pretty good too--you know, for someone who claimed that they couldn’t cook….” she said to him, still smirk while she placed the two plates onto the table. Slowly, she looked over the chicken breasts she had cooked. It looked pretty good and after examining it once more, it looked cooked enough. Huh. She had actually done a decent job.

He smiled and put some noodles onto his plate befor putting some onto hers as well, then went and put the pot back onto its table mat and smiled as he pulled out the chair for her befor moving to his own chair and sitting down. He smiled at her then got back up and went to the fridge again befor asking "What would you like to drink Voatana? I have a bottle of some kinda wine or dr pepper soda like at the beach but its your choice of what we drink" He looked around quickly for glasses if she did want some wine but he wasnt sure what she was in the mood for.

Her smirk converted into a slight smile when he pulled out her chair for her--he definitely had a lot of courtesy. Well, he showed much more courtesy than most of the people she knew anyway. She took her seat and pulled her chair in closer to the table, subconsciously licking her lips as she watched him put some of the noodles onto her plate. Before she dug in, she answered him when he asked her what she wanted to drink. “ Well, I’m still a minor, so I’ll just take soda--I’ve never had wine before anyway….” she said to him casually as she thought over her statement. True, she was still a minor, but basically, she was her own adult since she practically took care of herself and had done so as far as she could remember. No adult had ever taken care of her in the ‘normal’ way before, but she didn’t really drink alcohol anyway, and since she didn’t think that she would like it, she settled with the soda. She didn’t want to waste his wine after all.

He smiled and nodded as he removed a soda for each of them, setting them onto the table befor going to the cabinet and removing two glasses then set them down onto the table and poured the sodas into them befor handing her hers and then sat down befor starting to dig in, he was hungry and he was suffering with the good looking food infront of him.

Voatana thanked him for the soda when he handed it to her and directly after placing her drink onto the table, she didn’t hesitate to start eating as well. She was pretty much wolfing down her food, but of course, she kept her table manners while she ate. It was obvious that the food from earlier wasn’t exactly enough for her. She chugged down her soda in between her fast bites of food and in quite a short while, her plate was completely clean, aside from the chicken bones. She didn’t even leave a piece of meat behind though, so the bones were completely clean as well. “ That was so good….” she murmured with a light smile as she laid back in her chair, letting out a content sigh.
