she nodded, getting up to get several bags of ice before putting them right next to him. hoping it would help with the fever. ' if this keeps up we are going to have to fill a tub full of ice water.. " she glanced at dorion and arched a brow slightly. " he has a fever and it keeps rising... it may kill him. "

Kat tensed immediately before going over to devin, changing out the water for clean water before sitting down next to him. '' not gonna happen. "

Devin winced as the ice felt like it was burning his skin.."God.." He winced as he coughed once more and then looked up to Kat..."What do you mean not gonna happen....I don't wanna be a vampire...Not yet.." He says with a wince. After 15 minutes past the bags of ice were nearly melted.

Dorion looked over to Ariel and then back to Devin..."Great.." He says as he looked back to Ariel.."I have a feeling its gonna be a long day..." He says

kat sighed, watching as ariel replaced the bags. " you might not have a choice devin... either death.. or change.. you better choose soon.. that fever gets any higher we may not even be able to save you . "

ariel dug through her bags again , looking for something that she could give him but she doubted any of it would help much other then the antibiotics. " I gave him a huge dose of antibiotics.. its up to his body and immune system to fight it."

Devin winced..."I'll fight it..." He says as he gritted his teeth as his fever continued to rise..."Damn it..." He muttered.

Dorion looked to Ariel and then sighed.."He won't give in until he knows its the end." He muttered

A few hours passed and Devin was only getting worse. He was slippin in and out of consiousness and dry heaving every now and then.

Ariel hissed, getting more and more agitated and how stubborn devin was, she ordered a large tub to be brought in so she could fill it with ice and water before nudging kat. " help me get him in , the cooler we can get him the better the chance we have of keeping his brain from getting fried. " she muttered, picking up devin as kat helped, before lowering him into the water. " watch his head. don't let him go under. "

kat grunted before lifting devin up and stepping into the cold water herself ignoring the biting cold as she sank down before leaning back and pulling him against her to keep him from drowning in the water. " your brother is an idiot dorion " she muttered, grabbing the rag and began ru nning the cold water over his head.

ariel glanced over at dorion before sighing. " you might want to talk to him dorion. i don't think he will be able to last past another five hours. "

Devin's body didn't even tense as the ice water soaked his skin. His eyes opened and he looked around.."Where am I?" He muttered obviously he was completly out of it by this point.

Dorion sighed looking to Kat..."You don't have to tell me..." He muttered as he then looked over to Ariel..."He's not even in the right mind now...Me talking to him would do no good." He says with a sigh.

Devin muttered closing his eyes again and then his heart stopped beating and his body went limp.

kat tensed up immediately pulling him up before checking his pulse , nearly panicking. " ariel! "

Ariel moved quickly yanking him out of the tub and laying him flat. " bloody hell. dorion , work on him. " she grabbed for her bag, digging in it before finding the long needle she was looking for filled with the human version of adrenaline they used to jump start a heart. sliding back to devin she quickly jammed it into him and pushed down on the plunger " he is gunna be pissed with change him without permission. "

Dorion hurried into the room as well looking at Devin as he was pulled out of the tub. Dorion then nodded and then started to do CPR on his brother moving out of the way when Ariel jammed a needle into his chest.."That he will." He says as he continued to push down on his chest.

After a good minute Devin took in a deep breath groaning as he did so..."I don't wanna die...." He muttered as he looked over to Kat.."I don't wanna die." He muttered as his pulse weakened.

Ariel grunted slightly . " I am taking that as permission, kat get over here." she yanked kat out of the water, reminding herself to chew kat out later for even jumping into a cold bath , cold was bad for vampires.. " he is yours after all you change him. "

kat grunted, still ignoring the fact her body was now stiff and not really wanting to move as she moved over to devin. " your not going to die, just hold on." she muttered before leaning down and sinking her fangs in, trying her best not to give him any more pain as she held onto him, taking as much as she could before ripping her own wrist open and held it to his mouth , forcing him to swallow when it didn't seem like he would do it on his own. " just a little more. "

Devin was in too much pain to even feel her bite. He felt him self getting weaker as she drank from him. He then nodded his head drinking the blood that she offered him with her help of course. A burning sensation started to go threw his body with the more he drank.

kat shifted a little , closing her eyes as she ran her free hand through his hair now as he continued to drink from her wrist. within a few more minutes though she pulled back. ' thats enough ." murmured, lightly kissing him as she wiped his mouth. " sleep. "

Ariel slowly relaxed before giving him another injection, one that would help with the pain he was sure to go through before pulling him up and back onto the bed, pulling the blankets around him before kneeling down next to kat. looking her over. " you look like hell.. " glanced up at dorion. " put her in the bed next to him, i need to clean up and see if i can get another person in here for him. he is going to be really really hungry when he wakes up. kat can feed from me later. "

Devin nodded his head when she told him it was enough. He then closed his eyes and passed out. He wasn't even aware that he was moved to the bed.

Dorion looked to Ariel and then to Kat..."I agree you do look like hell." He says as he then nodded picking Kat up and carrying her to the bed laying her next to Devin. "I hope he likes this new life." He says as he looked to her.

kat grunted, nodding slightly as she leaned against him, enjoying the warmth of his body as it warmed her up a bit before she was placed on the bed. ' heh , he better, as long as he stays out of trouble. " she muttered, pulling her wet clothing off before it soaked the bed too much before she got under the blankets. snuggling up against devin and wrapping her arms around him, it didn't take long for her to fall asleep again and get warm as she was pressed against him.

Ariel finished cleaning before looking over at dorion. " heh , i think.. he will find some things have better perks then others.. " grinned" like more sensitivity to pleasurable things. he may enjoy that. and the human drugs don't affect us as bad as it does humans. he has a better immune system now. " she stretched before putting another thick blanket on them. " well... i should be able to take the bandages off of him tomorow.. he should be completely healed now. he may enjoy the fact he won't hurt no more. " shook her head before going to get sherry, not caring that she was naked , since marcus had h is fun allready and had returned to work. , tossing the unconcious woman on the floor she locked the door. " seems fair that she be the one to donate a bit of blood to devin since she is the reason this whole mess started.. after all if she hadn't given your brother the drug, he wouldn't have fallen down the stairs and hurt himself don't you think?"

As devin slept once his body was feeling better he put his arms around Kat subconsiously and pulled her closer to him.

Dorion looked to Ariel and then chuckled.."Yeah thats true." He says with a grin as he then cocked his head to the side looking over to Dorion and then back to Kat..."It shall be an intresting few days." He grinned as he then nodded his head.."Sherry will due perfect for him." He grinned.

Ariel arched a brow before grinning. "ahh i am gonna agree there.. hmmm guess i am gonna have to promote him .. heh ,after all he won't be able to go out for a while. "

kat barely woke up just feeling him pulling her closer before she went back to sleep. snuggling up against him as much as she could, relaxing more. she wasn't going to wake until the next night.

He looked over to her and then grinned..."Yeah but he won't like not being able to go out." He says with a chuckle..."He will have to be kept occupied." He muttered

she laughed and pointed to kat. " she can do that..i am gonna have someone take over her work for a while then. . i mean they can go out for the night, but we would have to go with him to keep him calm down. " frowned." soo. i wonder... his gifts.. will they come out more that he is a vampire? i mean like yours did?"

Dorion looked to her and then chuckled.."True." He says with a laugh as he then cocked his head to the side..."He was more prominate about using them...So I would imagine they would only get stronger." He says with a sigh..."Which makes things more of a pain." He says with a chuckle.

she grinned" but he seems to be more able to control them, come on then. " she tugged on his hand, " let them sleep. they should be up and about in about a few hours. heh , we will come back to check on them i mean. kat will be hungry so i can feed her and well your brother has his little sherry for now. just gotta make sure he don't kill her in the process.. "

He looked to her and then nodded his head. "Yeah hes more in control of them." He says as he then nodded his head once more. "Alright then sounds good." He grinned as he followed her..."Thats gonna be the hard thing...Keeping him from killing anyone.." He says

she snorted" heh relax, its our nature to kill. you just have to learn to control it and not do it. i mean. i have had my fair share of accidental killings.. it happens. its the way of life.. but he has kat. he can't kill her. so if he is still hungry she can offer up some. " grinned' and well i am here for that as well and you , well. i think you might freak out if your brother fed on you. "

He looked to her and then grinned..."That is true." He says with a laugh as he then cocked his head to the side..."YOur right I would freak out." He says with a chuckle as he looked to her.."Well then..I suppose this place needs to be put on lock down." He grinned

she grinned" allready on it. " she hummed slightly as she got everything cleaned up before locking down the floor, changing the code for the locks as well before setting them then went to her desk and sat down. booting the computer up. " wonder what to station him at. hmmmm "

He looked over to her and then grinned.."Always one step ahead." He grinned as he looked to her. "I'm not sure.." He says with a chuckle as he placed a hand on her shoulder.

she leaned back and sighed as she looked up at him. " hmmm soo. did you have fun with kat?" she teased, glancing at the computer and moved around some associates. before moving devin to a higher spot. " think he will be good working down in the basement, kat can be with him. i mean she has been looking for another job that doesn't deal with too much paper work. "
