she blinked in surprise looking up at him'' another one? are you serious?''that was definitely surprising. That and she didn't think he would want another one this soon, considering they would definitely have their hands full with the baby. '' hmm don't get me wrong , i would love to have more than one. just gotta pace ourselves i think. heh , if you don't pace yourself you will end up with more than you can handle. ''she shook her head slightly before grinning'' your going to give that medic gray hairs before he is supposed to . i can see it now.''

"darlin you dont understand. serpiente children are never alone. we always have large families and we always sleep like a nest, together. i wont be over whelmed, i have already raised children, though they werent my own." zane said.

she grinned'' i understand hun, hell look at my pack, children everywhere. and each of us chip in on one form or another in raising those kids.. i was only teasing you '' yawned again before she nudged him'' now i think i am going to take a nap. maybe later you can go with me to see how everyone is doing in the new part of the village.. '' she had been there in a while, though the children often came up to the palace and ran rampont. she knew some of the guards where driven nuts over it because the children where a mischevious bunch and like to play games on the guards. several times she had gotten a good laugh at the situations.

Even now she heard distant squealing of laughter from a bunch of the kids as well as one or two voices of guards, most likely trying to round them up and keep em out of trouble.

"sleep well dear. im going to train with the guards." zane said before he walked out of the room.

she watched him leave before curling up more on the soft bed, it felt good on her body.and she knew her naps usually lasted a good few hours. So he would definitely get a good few hours of training. she just hoped some of the children stayed out of there, they where definitely a curious bunch, but where only left in the castle only because the parents knew most of the women here would definitely keep them out of trouble..

She woke up just before dinner would be served, stretching she gave a slight grumble of protest but managed to get up and get things taken care of before she went walking down the hallway, Krista joined her like usual. Both actually stopped at one point before busting out laughing as one of the were men came around the corner with a protesting child under each arm.. '' oh boy Ben what did they do now?"

he glanced up before grinning slightly as he shifted each child slightly in his arms'' oh well.. you should ask Zane that, i just had to rescue these two from the training grounds, they where annoying some of the guards .. think one of them stuck marbles or something in zane's pack.. figured i would take them out of his hair for a bit'' he glanced at krista, gave another grin before picking up his pace'' gotta go,, their mothers are waiting to scold them.''

both kirsta and zyanya couldn't help but shake their heads , still trying not to laugh before they headed out to the training grounds. '' gee sometimes i miss that age''

Krista grinned''uh huh, bet you where a terror too.. '' they past the kitchen and she caught a glimpse of another child sitting on a counter chatting away with the cook who seemed to be enjoying it thoroughly. '' well atleast some of them don't feel the need to torment eveyrone. think its just the boys though. ''

when zane reached into his pack to load his bow, he noticed all of his arrows were gone and someone had filled his pack with marbles. scanning the area he saw a small group of boys at the end of the way. He notched a neighbors arrow and aimed for an inch above their heads and let loose the arrow, which buried itself into the wood slatts above their heads. with a shreik they came out from their hiding place and eyed zane with a mixture of amazement and fear.

" where are my arrows little ones? i cannot protect you without them. and they are very special to me." zane said smiling right before a guard handed him is arrows and ran off with the boys in his arms. Zane stroked the arrows lovingly. "after all, the fletchlings are my ex wife's feathers." he smiled with an evil glint in his eye.

Zyanya grinned as she spotted zane just as he was messing with his arrows.. '' terrorizing the kids hun?" leaning against one of the fence railings she eyed the feathers on the arrow stalk, by scent, she knew exactly whose feathers those where.. '' hmmm was wondering what you did with those.. '' she eyed the arrow that had buried itself just above the kids heads, reaching over she plucked it out easy enough.'' how many did those little feathers make?"

"enough to be a precious commodity." zane stated smiling. " and i wasnt terrorizing them, i was teaching them a leason. im amazed that you can pull that arrow out of the wood. look at how far in it buries itself. serpiente bows are designed to put the arrow so deep in that every shot is a kill shot."

She arched a brow'' just because i am pregnant doesn't mean i have gone weak hun. '' she teased, shaking the end of the arrow at him slightly , '' hmm well they definitely need lessons, think they are old enough to start schooling now. '' frowned slightly '' never did ask you where you teach your children, i would like the pack kids to learn both of the ways, including our child hun. ''

Krista grinned slightly as she eyed Zyanya's belly'' thats still a while off , but can't hurt to plan a bit ahead.. '' she glanced at zane and shrugged'' some of the scouts managed to catch so quail. so i think thats what is for dinner tonight. ''

"our children all learn in the dancers nest, they are the teachers of our history, the children who wish to become guards when they are old enough will learn from the guards." zane said. " and quail would be nice for dinner, but your Naga and i have other plans."

Krista arched a brow'' do i really want to know what those plans are ? hmmm nope. think my curiousity is best left out'' she glanced behind her again to see atleast two young girls take off running and squealing in delight as they where being chased by two of the guards..

Zyanya frowned, she didn't know anything about other plans, but it was a nice surprise, and she loved good surprises, smiling she studied the arrow in her hands. '' nice work on it.. would like to get a set of my own.. been falling behind on my own practicing... hmm and that sounds good , atleast i know they are going to be taught.. think i will talk to the others about getting their children into schooling, would keep them out of trouble for half the day atleast.''

zane smirks at Krista. "its not what you think you naughty little vixen. go home to your man, take that... frustration out on him." Zane smiled, Krista was his brothers wife, and she usually enjoyed being nose first in his and zyanya's business.

" Dont frown love, you will like these plans. we are going back to that spring that you liked so much. i thought a nice picinic would be good for us."

Krista grinned, '' uh huh. suppose i can leave her in your capable hands'' she teased, sticking her tongue out at him before glancing at zyanya'' lemme know later what you decide. '' she lightly nudged her before heading home, she was definitely going to take some frustration out.

she looked up at him after krista left before smiling'' sorry. don't mean to frown, hmmm sounds like a good idea to me, been wanting to go back there.. does the cook already have a food basket ready ?'' she was up for a good ol stroll to the spring, it was one of her favorite places to go to relax.

"food basket is ready and so am i." zane replied before scooping her up and taking off running. dodging trees as he ran with her, he made it to the spring. he set her down and smiled at her in a mischevious way.

she blinked in surprise, not expecting to be picked up like that and immediately put her arms around his neck. '' ohhhh your gonna have to warn me when you do that next time. '' she mumbled giving him a smile, when they arrived she relaxed as he put her down, looking around slowly she relaxed immediately due to the gentle sound of the spring. '' hmmm definitely missed this place..'' she found the spot where the picnic was set up and eased herself down onto the blanket. looking over at him again and catching the mischevious look in his eyes.. '' uh huh what are you up to?"

zane tries to look innocent. "oh nothing dear. nothing at all." he said smiling sweetly, the glint still hadnt left his eyes. he sat down next to her and proceeded to feed her trying to distract himself from the excitement building with in him.

she watched him before rolling her eyes'' uh huh, if you say so. '' she was pretty sure she would figure it out sooner or later on what he was up to. right now though she was enjoying herself , even though she sensed the excitement building up in him. '' i still say your up to something, heh you have that look on your face that your being sneaky with it. ''

" what im innocent, im so innocent im still a virgin. " zane replied smiling like a fool. " now eat." he demanded pushing foods at her.

she snorted and couldn't hold back some of the laughter'' yea ok sure you are, and i somehow magically got pregnant without having sex.. '' she teased, picking up more bits of the food, she didn't have to be told twice to eat, she was hungry, she was after all eating for two.. she glanced at the spring again, would be nice if she could actually swim. but at the moment even doing that would tire her out. '' now i know your up to something hun, you got that look in your eyes.. '' she teased, licking some sauce off her fingers, it was definitely a good picnic.

smiling zane watched zyanya eat and knew she would love the suprise he had waiting for her.

she was getting a little anxious now to find out what he had in mind, she could feel the excitement rolling off of him, finishing her part of the food she relaxed, getting a glass of whatever drink there was to help quench her thirst as she slid a glance towards him again'' alright, i ate, now tell me what you got in store for me before you pop from all the built up excitement.''

*shakes head like a disobediant child* i dont want to. you have to wait.

she laughed '' alright alright i will wait, as much as i can.. '' she teased, nudging him slightly as she pushed a plate of food towards him'' you need to eat too , i am already full '' she stretched out, half closing her eyes and rubbing her belly again.. '' hmmm yea '' she was watching the sky as well, watching the sun set was one of her favorite past times now.

Zane scarfed down the food quickly and again picked up zyanya and ran back to the village. upon reaching the gates of the town the site of streamers everywhere came into view. " look hun a village wide baby shower." zane said smiling.
