Andrew shook his head. "Baby are you sure you want to do this, I don't want you to put yourself in danger" He kissed her softly on the lips and stroked her cheek. "I just want to be with you for the rest of my life"
Re: War may be hell but home isnt exactly Heaven either. (RiRister)
Isis kisses him back and looks into his eyes. “I do not think it will cause a problem for us. The only people it might be bothered by it is your parents.” She then goes with him to his parents’ place and gets ready to deal with the possible worst situation that could happen. She just hoped they could get through it together.

"Alright my sweetness" He took them to his parents. As they sat down Andrew took her into his lap. "Hello mother and father, I have asked Isis to marry me and she has said yes" Both his parents went crazy hugging the both of them.
He whispered softly in her ear "I love you so much"

Isis watches his parents as they seemed to be happy for them. So far so good. Maybe everything would work out. She did feel bad that her father would not be there for their wedding. She was missing him greatly. She looks at Andrew and says, “I love you too Andrew.” She looks at his parents. “I will need help planning the wedding.” She hoped that her mother would not find out.

Andrew's mom raced up "Ohh yes, now when were you thinking? A spring, summer or fall even a winter wedding would be nice" She paused. She looked at Andrew. She knew that he was still techinally a part of the Army so they could have a Army wedding but she doubted that Isis would want one .
She turned to Isis again. "So what are your thoughts?"
His father came up to him. "Lets let the women talk" He lead him out and into the kitchen pouring both of them a beer. Andrews's cell went off and he anserwed it. "Oh okay, thank you" He turned to his dad, "You know that dog that I help train for PTSD patients?" His dad nodded. "Well she is ready to come home to me, she finished the last part of training" He sighed. "I wonder how Isis is going to handle that?"

Isis looks at his mother a moment, thinking about the different times they could have the wedding. “Spring would be too hectic. That is allergy season for me. A winter wedding would be nice but that would make Andrew ache from all his injuries. A summer wedding would be best.” She was trying to be considerate of everyone but mostly for Andrew’s needs.

Andrew's mom grinned. "Well a summer wedding would be nice, but you know that he would do anything for you, seems you two are the prefect pair" So we can start with a summer wedding then maybe move it up too"
Andrew rubbed the back of his neck. "I have Isis now, do I really need this dog?" His dad touched his shoulder. "Isis and you will not always be right together. Also you put a lot of time in training the dog, you need to get her."
Andrew smiled and nodded. "Alright I guess" He walked into the room and wrapped his arms around Isis. "Baby I have something to tell you, I have been training a dog to help people with PTSD, and well, my dog is available now, are you okay with a dog in the house?"

Isis looks at him a moment and looks in his eyes. She says with a smile, "A dog sounds great. So I am fine with it." She grips the chair some. She was still going through some things too. She understood the need to have help. But she has never had a pet so this is going to be interesting to say the least.

Andrew could tell that something wasn't right but he kissed her cheek softly. "Alright when we are done here we can pick her up" He sat down beside her. "So what have you two discussed about the wedding?"
Re: War may be hell but home isnt exactly Heaven either. (RiRister)
Isis looks at him and says, "We decided to the wedding in the summer. We have not discussed anything else." She was uncomfortable from time to time. Muscle damage and nerve damage. She was strong but her body was still going to suffer from the tremors for the rest of her life. She was going to deal with it on her own. No meds or magic. (He wants to know if you will get Kik.)

Andrew smiled "Hmm a nice summer wedding" He leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Baby are you okay?" He held her hand this dog would be good for both of them. He looked at his mom with a smile. "Well so a summer wedding, what else is there to decide?"
Re: War may be hell but home isnt exactly Heaven either. (RiRister)
Isis looks at her hands a moment and says slowly, "I know you have always wanted to wear your uniform at our wedding. But I was thinking you could maybe wear a tuxedo instead? I have pride in you as a soldier but I want you to be seen as more than a soldier. You don't have to wear a tux if you don't want to. It was just an idea."

Andrew shook his head. "Love that is doable, I want this day to be prefect for you" He kissed her cheek softly. "I will show up naked if it made your day"
Re: War may be hell but home isnt exactly Heaven either. (RiRister)
Isis laughed at his naked comment. “You would not hear me complain but I think our guests would have a problem with that.” She was glad he did not wearing a tux instead of his uniform. It would give her a sense of normal life. She knew he would always be a Marine at heart but it did not need to be in every part of their life.

His mom gasped. "Andrew you shall do no thing" Andrew chuckled. "Don't worry ma I wouldn't dare, everyone is going to be staring at beautiful Isis anyways" He sighed and kissed Isis softly on the lips. "So what else do you want at your wedding, since its so small we could even go somewhere and get married"
Re: War may be hell but home isnt exactly Heaven either. (RiRister)
Isis looks at him with a smile. He was still the same after so much had happened to them. How did she get so lucky to have him in her life? "Andrew you know for a fact that our wedding will not be small. Everyone in your unit will want to come. Almost everyone in your family. And I have no doubt that my mother will find a way to appear at the wedding. And after spending so much time alone and away from this place, I don't find the need to go somewhere else to have the wedding."

Andrew shook his head. "My love my unit does not have to be there if you don't want them, I am sure your mother will find some way to find us, and well my parents are the ones that only matter" He took her hand. "I want you to be comfortable and happy this day, that is all that matters"
Re: War may be hell but home isnt exactly Heaven either. (RiRister)
Isis looks at him and thinks about it for a moment. It would not bother her for them to be there. They were another form of his family. Why wouldn't they be there? She says with a smile, "They are your family too. They were there for you too when I wasn't there for you. They should attend our wedding." she was trying to be fair about this. The main person she wanted there could never be there, her father. So she was just trying to be happy about it and fill the void that he left behind.

Andrew smiled and kissed her again. "Thank you my love, it does mean a lot that they can be there, " He shook his head at the other comment. "Don't worry about that other stuff" He sighed knowing why she was looking down. "I know my love I miss him too" He wrapped her in his arms and pulled her on to his lap and held her close.
Re: War may be hell but home isnt exactly Heaven either. (RiRister)
Isis looks at him a moment with a smile. She says, "Come on my love. Your companion is probably waiting on us now." She wanted to make sure to being up to a good mood like a normal woman should be when planning her wedding. She was with a curious what having a pet would be like. The dog would help him be in a better place of mine. Maybe it would help her be in a better place herself.

He stood said good bye to his parents then walked with Isis out the door. "How was that for you my love?" Once they were at the dog place he helped her out then was greeted by a puppy. "Why how big you have gotten" He petted the dog who then sniffed at Isis then softly licked her hands. "See she likes you"
Re: War may be hell but home isnt exactly Heaven either. (RiRister)
Isis says goodbye to his parents and walked out with him. She says, “It went better than I thought it would. But we did not really get on the subject of me being a witch.” When they got the puppy place she was tense again. She was not afraid of animals but she had no experience with them. This was going to be interesting. She walked with him to the puppy and petted it gently.
