((XD yeeaaah. the tv we have for the ps3 is bad, so its hard to read what everyone says. im trying to repair the bridge, but honestly i have no idea what im doing. i ran around for half an hour trying to figure it out before i had to go to bed >.<))

Magnus gave him an amused look. "Well what did you expect? It's not like I'm going to hurt you or something" he shook his head and laughed softly. The way Alec had put it, it made it sound like he expected something strange and unusual. Just an ordinary brain study by a arlock. Nothing out of the ordinary about that. "Alright, lend me your head" he held his hand out, beckoning by wiggling his long fingers.

((You have to press square or something on the main map to get the hexagons, and then you put the tetris thing where it needs to unblock. Yeah, that took us a while too))

"Uhh, it's yours?" Alec said unsure. He moved closer to Magnus, sitting by his side, taking his hand that he'd been beckoning him forth with and putting it to his head. "Anything I have in my head belongs to you," he told Magnus, since most of his better memories, if Magnus chose to look at them, were with him. Other than that, he had a bunch of Shadowhunter memories of battle and whatnot.

Twining his fingers through the soft black hair Magnus laughed. "Aww, thank you" he said, kissing his quickly before adjusting his position, getting more comfortable. He closed his eyes and delved into Alec's mind, images and thoughts flashing past him as he searched again for the spot in his mind, which he was sure would be there this time. He paused to look at some of the memories Alec had, smiling slightly at them before going back to his search.

Alec wondered what Magnus would be seeing and was looking for. He was also quite curious how he would fix the problem if he found it. Other than the past thoughts of Jace he'd had in previous years, he didn't think there'd be anything Magnus would hate in his head. In the life of the Shadowhunter, even the young ones -though he himself was an adult, therefore had the permission to enter the Clave in session- was filled with rigorous training and battling, pain and difficulties.

Magnus had no idea how long he had been working for. It was tedious work, but sneaking occasional peeks at Alec's mind made it better. After who knows how long he dropped his hand and sighed, opening his eyes. "Ugh, I'm tired" he complained, falling back on the bed dramatically. He figured Alec would probably have been bored while he worked, but he was planning on taking a break for now. He knew he would have to get back to it eventually, but that could wait.

Alec had to admit he'd nearly dozed off when Magnus had been scanning his head. He held still while Magnus was searching, listening to Magnus' steady breathing and all. Finally he heard Magnus say he was tired and fall back. Alec laid down, stretching briefly, and laying down with his head on the warlock's chest. He could hear his heart beating a little faster than normal, maybe from exertion. "Did you find anything?" he asked softly.

Magnus slipped his arms around Alec's waist when the Shadowhunter laid down with him. "Hmm, well not as much as I would have hoped, but still something. It's demonic in origin, which I already knew, but it'd been done by a warlock. Probably being used by Valentine. No other warlock would have reason to just randomly target you four" he replied, sighing again. He had gotten a few components of what it was made up of, but held that fact back. It was a bit too complicated to explain.

Humming in thought lightly, Alec wondered what they could do about it now. "And there's no way to track the warlock doing this, is there?" he asked, even though he knew Magnus would need something that belonged to this warlock to enable tracking. "His spell thing could be used to track, maybe?" But what would they do if or when they found this.

Magnus thought about it for a moment, staring up at the plain ceiling of Alec's room. "Well, it would be more difficult than you'd think to track using that. . . but I could give it a try. And I'll ask around some other warlocks, see if they have any idea what's going on with it" he said, kissing the top of Alec's head. He ran his long fingers through his Shadowhunter's soft black hair, running his manicured nails lightly along his scalp. "As boring as that was, I like behind inside your head" he said with a laugh.

Feeling just a little bold, Alec said, "Is that all you like being inside?" He smiled coyly. "I like you being inside my head too." Of course they'd be unable to initiate anything here in the Institute, with its too thin walls. He didn't want anyone to hear anything. "You could go tell the others what we now know and say you're going home. Then maybe," he trailed off," we can go to your place and do something?"

Both of Magnus' eyebrows raised at the question. Now that wasn't something he expected from Alec. He smirked anyways. "Hmm, no, it's not the only thing I like being inside" he replied, grinning and kissing him. He concidered what Alec said for only a moment before agreeing. "Mmm, sure. And just what do you have in mind, little Shadowhunter?" he ended in a question, sitting up and pulling his boyfriend up with him.

Pretending to honestly consider what he might have in mind for going to Magnus' place after this, Alec cocked his head to the side in 'consideration.' "I don't know....what would you like to do when we get there?" Magnus would have the same ideas already in mind, but it was fun to play with the subject and dance around the edges of possible thoughts.

Magnus raised an eyebrow, an amused smile on his face, as Alec 'thought' about what he would like to do. "Well, I'm not going to tell you. You're going to have to figure it out yourself" he said, grinning and kissing him deeply for a moment. He pulled away and stood up, stretching his long stiff limbs, ignoring his shirt raising up. He could feel the breeze, but didn't care. He let his arms fall and he ran a hand through his hair, looking at his bangs over his eyes for a moment before tying his hair up into a short ponytail, with a peice of hot pink ribbon to match the writing on his shirt. "Alright, I'll go report what's going on in your head, and then we can leave. But I think we might have to take the subway. . . I don't think I can make a portal after all that" he sighed, screwing up his face. He would much rather drag Alec back to his place quickly.

"That's fine," Alec agreed, admiring the ponytail Magnus had put his hair in. His hair looked pretty good no matter what he did with it, whether he dyed it, spiked it with gel, or left it alone, it always looked fine. Magnus was just that sexy to pull off looking good at every corner. He moved to the door and unlocked it, opening it and looking around to see if anyone was around. He didn't hear much, but then again, he didn't know what time it was. "Any idea how long we were working on that?" he asked Magnus, though neither of them had really been paying attention to time. "If it's late we could just leave now and wait until morning to tell them."

Magnus opened his hand and his phone appeared there, from where it had been on his floor from the previous night when Alec had phoned. "Well, it's 6:07 now. . . so we were at it for a while" he said, walking out the door and down the hallway, having no idea where he was going. Maybe just wander until he found somebody. Or until Alec told him where to go. He slipped his phone into the pocket of his jeans, hoping to get this done quickly, and then they could leave.

"Dinner time, ish, then." Or that was generally when they placed their meal time unless any of them got hungry earlier and went off on their own to eat. Thinking about food, Alec realized neither he or Magnus had much to eat that morning. They'd woken up late and had a cup of coffee, but that wasn't really food. "If they aren't out, they'll be in the kitchen raiding the fridge." Alec made toward the kitchen, seeing the light on. When he walked in, Isabelle was hovering over the stove with a bundle of herbs and vegetables. She looked up at them with a mischievous smile.

"It was awfully quiet in there, guys. You were in there a while too," she commented. "Oh, and dinner's almost done." She tasted whatever she was cooking and contemplated if it was really supposed to taste this way or not.

"Magnus was just looking through my head is all," Alec replied quickly, since it was true. "And anyway Izzy, we're going to go back to his place because he doesn't like sitting on the bed here in the Institute to work."

"Sureeee. Magnus is uncomfortable sitting on the bed."

"Shut up, Izzy."

Magnus nodded and followed Alec down the hallway, hooking his thumb in the belt loop of his jeans as he walked. He couldn't help his eyes sliding up and down the Shadowhunter's body slowly as they walked. The body that showed the years of hard training and physical effort it had done. He looked up at Isabelle when they walked into the kitchen, eyeing what was on the stove cautiously. He smirked at the conversation between the brother and sister, laughing slightly. "You only think it was quiet. I am a warlock after all" he said, laughing. Sure, they had been silent, and hadn't done much, but Isabelle didn't need to know that. "But Alec is telling the truth. . . the beds here are like lying on tables" he made no mention to the fact that he had made Alec's more comfortable.

[Nyako-Chan]

"Hmph," Isabelle breathed out, not really believing part of it. She did agree, however, that the beds in the Institute were like lying on tables. The floor was better than those things. She'd even tried it before. All of them had, but then their parents caught them and told them to sleep on beds like normal people. "So, what did you find out?" she asked, stirring the food. Alec wasn't about to say that Magnus could see anything in his head and that he had allowed him to. Who knew what Isabelle would throw at him if he said so.

Magnus could tell that Isabelle didn't believe him, but that didn't matter. It was fun to tease anyways. He leaned against a counter and sighed at the question. "Well, it's being cast by a warlock, but it's also demonic in origin. So I think it has to do with some kind of ritual that involves demon blood, or this warlock could quite possibly be some freakish hybrid done by Valentine" he said, coming up with the last idea on the spot. It made complete sense, and he wouldn't put it past the rogue Shadowhunter.

"What do you plan on doing about it then?" Isabelle pursed her lips. She had a hand on her hip and a ladle in her other hand. "How soon do you think anything you try will work?" Wouldn't want his sister to go berserk with some cooking utensil or something else in her hand. She'd be possibly as hard to stop as it was for Jace.

Magnus eyed the ladle with a raised eyebrow, wondering how dangerous that could be, since it was in Isabelle's hands. "Well I'm going to pick it apart a bit more, try to make up the elements that will counter it, and contact other warlocks to see what they know about this. It'll take at least a week" he said, thinking it over. He would be surprised if it took even that amount of time. None of them had any idea what they were going against. "Now, I've got to get home and feed Chairman Meow. So I'll probably be back here tomorrow. Bye" he gave a wiggle of the fingers in a small wave before walking out of the room, looking behind him to see if Alec was following or not.

Alec hastily ran off with Magnus before Isabelle could stop him to question him or make him test out the food she was making. He wasn't sure which one would be worse, but he was sure if he stayed long enough she'd do both. "The subway, then, right?" he asked Magnus as they walked further along the halls. He gestured to where the next hallway was so they could leave the Institute.

Magnus looked back in front of him when he saw Alec following him, looking eager to get away from his sister. "Yes, as much as I dislike Mundane travel" he said, making a face. Taking the subway once and a while was fine, but more than that and he was ready to rip his hair out, which was definitely a big deal. "We can get something to eat on the way home. . . Magnus Bane does not do Anorexic. I'm ravenous" he took the turn that Alec had motioned towards.

Yes, and apparently Magnus Bane also didn't do bulimia, no matter how impossibly thin he looked sometimes, apparently he had no eating disorder. As for Alec, since he hadn't really been on any missions today, nor had he worked out at all, he hadn't really burned enough carbs to feel deathly starving as he had in previous occasions where he hadn't eaten but had just come back from a job or something. "Sounds good by me," Alec responded, listening to his stomach growl.

Magnus couldn't stand petty eating disorders that people developed to stay skinny, or more than they already were. Skipping meals and throwing up didn't sound like fun for anybody. "Good. I'm not letting you go anorexic either" he stated, slipping his hand into Alec's. Sure, they were still in the Institute, but nobody was around to see. "So what do you want to eat? Around the subways there are endless opportunities. Mostly for the fat old men who look likely to rape little boys, but there's still food" he shrugged. He wouldn't let the creepy fat men on their way home from work get anywhere near Alec.
