Magnus nodded his agreement. "Mhmm. He could easily go mad or die, and I'm not taking that chance" he decided, moving his hands from Alec's hair to wrap his arms around his lover's waist, squeezing him lightly. He knew that there was no way they could get Skylar into Alicante, but he could see Idris, once he was old enough. It was something all Shadowhunters had to see. Even as a warlock he understood that, it was the sacred place of the Nephilim. "A family effort. There you go, see? It will be easy. It may seem a little sketchy now, but it won't be too hard once he's old enough and we actually start teching him" he pressed his lips to the spot underneath Alec's ear reassuringly.

"He might like it, Alicante. Whatever amount of Shadowhunter he has in him should allow him to feel the same thing we all do when we're there." Even if it was just a stirring of feeling for Skylar when he was older, it'd still be an amount of ecstatic, jovial rush he'd feel. All of them felt something along those lines of looking at home. The warlock in him might not feel much, or anything, but at least the Shadowhunter half would let him glimpse it, even for a second. "I don't suppose you know any other people who are teachers, huh?" Alec asked, "someone trustworthy? I suppose we could teach him whatever we could, and then either leave it to a mass amount of books, or a real teacher to finish it off."

"Every Shadowhunter has to like Idris in general. It's in your blood" Magnus pointed out, smiling slightly. He'd never exactly enjoyed the company of the Nephilim, but that had all changed after Chairman Meow's birthday party. One had become the thing most dear to him. He had to think over the quiestion about any teacher friends. "I don't think so. . . but then again, I tend to be friends with more people than I can remember. . . but not really trustworthy" he sighed. Downworlders tended not to be teachers. He might get a friend from the Seelie court or something to help with this, since the fey tended to be highly intelligent.

"The Institute has a mountain load of books. Once he knows how to read we can let him study from those. And I guess once he's old enough and has potential powers under control, under guise he could get homeschooled by Mundie teachers." Alec didn't see why not. As long as their son could control any powers he might have, and make himself look more human, why not have some Mundane just teach him more? It didn't sound too dangerous. If the child had no powers, Magnus could cloak him. "I think we're making it sound harder than it might be, and we haven't even reached that part yet." When they got to it, it'd probably be much easier to solve.

"I hope he won't be as opposed to reading as some kids though. We can't force it on him, for that reason alone. Kids don't like to do something if they feel like they're being forced to" Magnus sighed. This whole parenting thing would be interesting, that was for sure. But he had his Alec with him to help him along. "A Mundane teacher may not be a bad idea. I actually know a few who have the sight. When you asked if I had any teacher friends, I was excluding Mundies. I know a few with the sight who probably wouldn't mind, when the time comes" he said, smiling slightly. "Yeah, it shouldn't be too bad. We can get through this together" he stole a quick kiss, grinning at him. He was going to love raising his family with Alec, that was all he knew.

Alec smiled at Magnus and nuzzled him. "Well, we won't force it on him, and some kids don't like studies forced on them because they know that there's other things better to do than study or read all day." Jace, for instance, hated studying. Alec, with nothing better to do before, had studied all day and hadn't minded. "Even someone without the sight, just a random tutor program, might take the job. They don't have anyone to tell that would care if they were homeschooling a kid. We could wipe their memory if Skylar does something too." Then they'd hire a new person, because a wiped memory didn't always stay wiped. Sometimes it could come back slowly, or something else would happen and it wasn't safe to wipe their memory again.

Magnus smiled back when Alec nuzzled at him, and he nodded. "There are plenty more things to do than study and read all day" he agreed, although his voice had dropped a little, and he gave Alec a slightly wicked grin before becoming serious again. "Yes, but if somebody has the sight, I won't have to mess with somebody's memory" he pointed out, running a hand up and down his Shadowhunter's back lightly. Memory work was tiring, even just a small job. What he had done on Clary was a lot of work, and he had normally been exausted after it.

"Yeah, I know, but there wasn't before," Alec said, catching the grin and blushing back with a small smile accompanying it. Someone with the sight, who was completely a Mundane, and technically no one to report to, sounded fairly safe, he supposed. Hopefully they'd still be around by the time Skylar needed it. The Institute would come to be Skylar's school and second home, where his grandparents and aunt lived. Magnus' apartment would become his first home, where his parents lived. Idris would be the home he could never enter. Would Skylar be able to make any friends? Mundane friends weren't safe to be with him, downworlder friends, unless part of Magnus' trust circle, wouldn't be so smart of an idea, and Shadowhunter friends? Those were hard to come by even as a Shadowhunter.

Magnus felt bad for Alec's lacking childhood, even if his own had been even worse. He tried his best to forget about that, not that it ever worked. He grinned again at the blush and smile he got from that. "Well there is now" he said, nodding. He knew Alec was happy that they were together now, and he had a lot more to do than just sit around, and then his Shadowhunting duties. "Well, que sera, sera" he shrugged. He liked that saying. And it made a lot of sense, looking at it from a parent's perspective.

"What? 'kay sera sera?'" Alec didn't know any other languages except Latin and very little Italian. Jace had known Italian, Romanian, Latin, and maybe a bit of Spanish if he wasn't just joking around or swearing at people in it. Isabelle learned a little French from an old boyfriend, whether or not she still remembered it was still uncovered. What she used it for, was another mystery best left unsolved in Alec's mind. "You'll have to teach me some of these things you know," Alec said, always up for something new to learn. Languages were just some of the more interesting things to learn.

Magnus laughed lightly when Alec repeated when he had said, sounding a bit confused. "Que sera sera. What will be, will be" he explained. He kissed the corner of Alec's jaw before starting to softly sing the song that went along with it.

It had been a long time since he had heard that song, since it was an old song, but he liked it. "I'm fine with teaching you things. I can be a very good teacher, as you should know" he grinned, obviously teasing. He was having fun lying with Alec like this.

Alec listened quietly, processing the Spanish and lyrics. Maybe he'd listen to it sometime and see if he enjoyed Magnus' or the original singing. Magnus had a nice voice, him singing made Alec smile. They were finally getting in more companionship talking, bonding, Isabelle might call it. "Yeah, I know. What else can you teach me?" Alec didn't really mean for it to sound sexual, but he didn't ultimately mind that either in their free time. Alec wondered if Magnus knew how do to other jobs. Did he spend his entire life just being High Warlock? He never took on Mundie jobs just for the heck of it? In time, Alec would have to take on Mundie jobs to amuse himself, since the Clave could not know about him being alive in the future.

Magnus smiled slightly when Alec did, before laughing. "I can teach you anything you'd like" he grinned, raising his eyebrows suggestively. He knew his fiance probably hadn't meant that in a dirty way, but his mind was already in the gutter. It didn't know how to be anywhere else. It was his mind's favorite place anyways. He could teach Alec many things that weren't dirty, but that wouldn't be as fun. "I vás může naučit věci více než dvě stě jazyky" he said, grinning. His accents were well developed, but he always thought some languages, such as this one, sounded odd in his voice.

Alec guessed by the laugh and the expression that Magnus had taken it exactly as Alec had thought, and completely the opposite of what he'd intentioned. That was Magnus for him, though. Magnus wouldn't be Magnus unless he was dirty-minded all the time. Alec blinked in pure confusion with what he believed was either gibberish that Magnus had made up on the spot, or a real language Magnus knew. It could be either one, really, because he'd seen Magnus do both. Alec thought his accented voice was interesting, maybe because he hadn't heard it before. What other accents could his warlock do, he wondered? And how many of them sounded as sexy as his regular voice?

Magnus grinned at the slightly blank look Alec gave him, obviously having no idea what he had said. "That means 'I can teach you things in over two hundred languages' in Czech" he explained, shaking some of his hair back from his face. He was rusty in a few languages, but in the rest he knew, perfectly fluent. He had had enough time to perfect them. "Jeg kan fortælle dig, hvor meget jeg elsker dig mere end, at selv. I can tell you I love you in more than that though. Danish" he translated himself after, working with this new accent. He knew he could switch the accents as he switched languages, but too quickly and it got tricky.

"That's cool," Alec commented, his fingers tracing down lightly against Magnus' bare chest. He tapped the area where no navel existed. That was interesting to Alec, he never thought anything about having a belly button, and just seeing Magnus without one made him imagine not having one, making him miss it. Magnus probably didn't care if he had a belly button or not, except that he couldn't really get another piercing there. "Does it get confusing to have to remember all the languages and the accents to them?" Alec asked, knowing each language had some sort of set up rule to them.

"Really? I guess it gets to be second nature to me now" Magnus shrugged. He hadn't exactly thought of it as cool in a long time. He gave a slight twitch as he felt Alec's hands move down his torso, to the place where his bellybutton should be. He didn't understand how that even worked. He thought over the question for a moment before shrugging. "Well, sometimes, but after knowing them for enough time, you relate which words sound like what, and once you know how it sounds, the accent kinda just flows" he explained, shrugging again. That was the simplest way to explain it.

"It must have taken a while," Alec said, "but you've had all the time to study it, so I guess I'm not surprised." Magnus walking the earth for 800 years, watching it grow, develop, going through the wars, waiting to see what day a nuclear bomb might be dropped, potentially killing him. Could nuclear, atomic things kill him? Alec wasn't sure. How many more wars would he go through? What would he see as society furthered in progress? With Alec by his side, how would time flow for the both of them? Alec wondered if they'd stay here forever or not. Magnus had done a lot of traveling, doubtless he'd had other homes too.

"Most things about me shouldn't surprise you by now" Magnus pointed out, grinning slightly. Sure, he could be spontanious sometimes, but the rest of the time, he could be rather predictable. But only to someone who knew him like Alec did. "I can teach you how to speak a language if you'd like" he offered, tilting his head to the side slightly. "I don't know how useful the things I'd teach you would be, but at least you could hit on me in public and nobody would notice" he grinned, trailing his fingers along Alec's back lightly, working them up, then down, then repeating.

"I guess not, but you're one of a kind. Things are of the oddity when you do new things," Alec mentioned, because Magnus always knew more things than any of the other people Alec knew or had seen. Magnus did everything with a twist, so it looked different, or cooler, or just odd. "Flirting in a different language in public? Umm, what are the chances of people either thinking we're terrorists, or just, y'know, understanding it?" Alec asked, knowing either one wasn't that likely. America wasn't smart enough to understand other languages too far away from them. Just Spanish, French, and German. Nothing unique or anything that Magnus could do.

Magnus was one of a kind, and he knew that. He loved that about himself. He loved a lot of things about himself, and wouldn't deny it if somebody called him a narcissist. He laughed lightly about Alec's slight arguments. "People won't think we're terrorists. Maybe tourists. People like to think that I don't actually live in this country" he grinned. "But if they understood" he lowered his voice and spoke into Alec's ear, "Would you really care?" He liked to think that Alec wouldn't care, even though he knew his Shadowhunter would. He was getting better with that though.

"I dunno, how many people speaking in strange languages not easily recognizable are in the States?" Even people around the world were picking up English to be able to communicate one of the most common languages. At least all Shadowhunters knew one or two languages, depending on where they'd come from, and if they'd had to learn the universal language or not. Some were better at it than others, but as long as it was semi understandable the Clave said nothing about it. "I'd care," Alec pouted, he didn't want people to turn and stare at him. "Besides, we should be the only ones to hear what we say to each other."

"Not very many" Magnus decided after a moment. Many of the Mundanes in the States didn't care enough to learn strange languages. He sighed lightly when Alec said he would care. He agreed with the part that they should be the only ones to hear, but at the same time, he was fine with saying it in plain english, in public. "Kiek žmonių manote kalbėti lietuviškai? Mes galime traukti, kad ne" Magnus grinned. "'How many people do you think speak Lithuanian? We can pull that off.' Unless you want me to do this in english" his voice had taken on another accent, Lithuanian this time, but it dropped again when he switched back to english, and to complete his threat. "Got a monster in my pants, and if you ever get the chance, gonna cram it down your throat, watch you gasp for air and choke! I'm gonna jizz all in your face, I'm gonna wreck this fucking place!" he sung in a seductive tone. He quite liked his threat, and he wouldn't hesitate to do it. He was sure Alec wouldn't doubt him.

"I don't think very many people know Lithuanian, and it looks like it'd take a while to learn. That would be a start," Alec said, then getting confused shortly after Magnus started saying things about sex, and some form of torture during. Magnus would definitely do as -Alec decided he was reciting some song or something- he sang. These lyrics were odd, and somewhat scared Alec to think if someone really did that to their partner. "Umm, who is this now?" he asked a little cautiously, not surprised Magnus listened to this kind of thing, or if it wasn't a song or anything, made it up himself.

"Lithuanian isn't too bad actually. It's mostly just getting the phonetics down" Magnus smiled slightly. He grinned when Alec looked a bit confused, then sounding a bit cautious. "Blood On The Dance Floor" he replied, shrugging. "They're a little crude, but I like it" he laughed. He had a feeling Alec wouldn't like them one bit. He would end up blushing through all of it, and his eyes would probably get wider with every word. "How would you feel if I sung that to you in english in public? Because I could always do it in Lithuanian" he teased, his fingers tracing down Alec's chest lightly.
