Re: A Sight to See
Dray smiled when the other car pulled into his driveway and Nathaniel got out, unharmed from he drive there. He was glad there was no incident with the driving. "Yeah, it is pretty quiet" he nodded, heading up the two steps by the front door and jamming his key in the lock, opening the door and stepping inside. He kicked off his shoes and picked up the cat that was always there waiting for him. "Hey Kitty" he said happily, stroking the little tortoishell cat.
Re: A Sight to See
Nathaniel followed Draylen in, kicking his shoes off as well for politeness sake. He found something up with the inside of the house for a minute, wondering what it was until he figured it out as Draylen called his cat. He wasn't going to die from being around cats, but he was going to have a bit of a time breathing through his nose. He could touch them too, he wouldn't break out or anything or get itchy. His allergy to them wasn't that bad, but he could feel it kicking in now. "You have a cat, huh?" he asked, sounding casual.
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen looked up to Nathaniel when the older man spoke, and he nodded, smiling brightly. "Yeah. I have two, actually. The other's probably hiding somewhere right now" he said happily, petting the cat again. "This little guy's my favorite. He comes to see me every time I get home. His name is Kitty" he grinned, realising how strange the name was, but he had thought it wss funny when he named the two cats.
Re: A Sight to See
Oh, he had two of them. Well, with one already here triggering his allergies, what would two matter? Maybe a headache, not that he didn't already have one. "Kitty? How original." His dogs were named from what he felt they should be called when he got them. Their names were British with meanings, and they greeted him every time he walked through the door. Every time he walked into the room they'd greet him too. "What's the other one called?" he asked, wondering if Draylen have the other cat a unique name.
Re: A Sight to See
"Yeah, I was always pretty awesome with names. My old fish's name was fluffy" Draylen laughed, setting the cat down. "My other cat's name is Neko. I got them at the same time, and thought it would be funny" he grinned as he petted Kitty one last time, having no problem with it. He straighened up from putting his cat down, brushing his hair back from his eyes. " How's your head feeling now?" he asked, tilting his own head to the side, wondering what he would need to do to make Nath feel better.
Re: A Sight to See
"A fish named Fluffy....?" He wasn't sure how he felt about that, how much sense it wasn't making. Well, from what he knew about Draylen so far, he could see him doing that, sort of. He might as well have named a hamster Fishy. "My head is pounding, but at least I seem to be functioning right." No crashing in the car, that was for sure. He was walking fine too, no stumbling or tripping. Just hurting, though what should he expect from hitting his head on the concrete? His neck was sore to move too from the whiplash he had received at the same time of hitting his head.
Re: A Sight to See
"A joke with my dad and I" Draylen explained, since Nath sounded a bit confused. "I was twelve at the time" the fish hadn't lived very long. Only two years. And then he had gotten his cats. He grimaced slightly at the answer, sighing slightly since it was technically his fault. "Okay, umm, we've got medical supplies upstairs, and ice packs in the freezer" he said, turning to head farther into the house, automatically giving the closet a wide berth, circling far around it to get to the kitchen area, grabbing the ice pack out. "Here" he said, holding it out for Nathaniel to take.
Re: A Sight to See
Nathaniel had always found it odd to go to someone's house since he never knew what to do unless he was told what he should be doing. He sniffed lightly to check how congested he was getting. He hoped he wouldn't have to get tissues to sneeze or wipe a runny nose with. He didn't want Draylen to figure out his allergy. Draylen would think it wasn't safe to invite him back here. He took a few steps into the house, looking around as Draylen went to another room. He took the ice pack from the other male when he returned and pressed it to his head after checking if he was still bleeding. It must have been a really small cut if he wasn't even bleeding anymore. The ice felt good against his head, he sighed as he moved the ice pack around, generally liking the feel of the cold pack pressed to his head.
Re: A Sight to See
"Alright, now we can go up to my room and I'll check it out, and see if you need anything else, kay?" Draylen turned to walk up the stairs, expecting Nath to follow him up. His room was pretty small, but it was pretty neat, and he liked it. It was somewhat generic, but there were touches of him thrown in, an Adam Lambert poster on the wall, a bright blue comforter, his bookshelf with his recreated book collection. He walked into his room and sat down on the bed, pulling his phone out of his pocket and tossing it on the floor. He rarely kept it with him while at home.
Re: A Sight to See
"Sure," Nathaniel replied, following Draylen upstairs and to the room he was in. It was a lot more personalized than his room, that was for sure. Nathaniel had left his walls alone, all he had was a computer desk in his room filled with notebooks and pencils and different types of books to help with writing papers in college. He had a bookshelf that was mostly filled but half of the books were research books. He read books for fun when he had the time, but usually was reading books for classes or for getting better grades on projects. "I like you room," he commented, looking at the things a typical teenager might have around.
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen laughed slightly at Nath's compliment, unsure why his room was very likable. It was just somewhere to hang out mostly, with a few things to keep him happy. "Thanks, I guess. It's not that great, but I like it" he smiled, pulling his legs up onto the bed and crossing them. It was a simple double bed, but all the room he needed could be found in a single bed. He curled up into a ball when he slept. "Alright, show me the back of your head" he waved a hand, beckoning to the older man.
Re: A Sight to See
"The back of my head...hm," he muttered to himself, going to sit on the bed with Draylen. He sat down by his side, putting the ice bag down. "Err, I can sit so my back is to you, or....what...?" He could also technically lay down and Dray could be over him and check his head, but just turning around would be easier. Maybe it might be a little bothersome with the spine due to trying to make space and keeping hips one way and turning the other way. He was just trying to think of the most comfortable way they could do this.
Re: A Sight to See
"Just stay where you are" Dray shrugged, getting onto his knees on the bed and moving to sit behind Nathaniel, sitting down with a leg on either side of him, sticking out off the bed. He reached up to the British man's head, parting his hair where he could see the lump on the back of his head. He could see the small amount of dried blood, and the small cut where it came from, but other than the lump there was no problem. "Okaay, I think you're fine, other than it hurting. Ice it, and you should feel better in a few days" Draylen explained, letting the hair fall and neatening it carefully, not wanting to tug on it at all, because that would probably hurt Nath alot.
Re: A Sight to See
"Are you going to be a med student?" Nathaniel asked sarcastically, but put the ice back on it. "Are you gonna check the rest of me too then?" Other than maybe bruises he might have from getting punched and such, he should be fine. Whiplash went away eventually. It would be sore but it wasn't life threatening or hospital required.Besides, first date never went farther than kissing at most. He didn't need Draylen checking his entire body. He knew where he hurt and why he hurt, no big deal.
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen laughed at the question, shaking his head. "No way. But it could have been worse than you thought. Better safe that sorry" he pointed out, poking him lightly between the shoulder blades. He moved from behind him, raising an eyebrow and laughing at the next question as well. "If you really want me to. But I think you're fine" he grinned, crossing his legs again, facing Nathaniel and leaning back against his pillow. "At least there's no serious damage" he said, smiling brightly at his new boyfriend.
Re: A Sight to See
"Yeah, no damage this time around." He smiled back at Draylen, checking his pockets to do a damage report on his possessions. Keys were fine, naturally, tarot cards were wrapped up in a cloth and were fine, just a little disheveled. None of them were bent though, and that was one of the best news he had on them. His glasses case still had his glasses in it, though they were upside down now. He set them right and closed the case again. Everything was in order, so he could say that he came out of this fine for the most part.
Re: A Sight to See
"This time around. Which is hopefully the last time around" Dray sighed, shaking his head. He was silent for a moment before continuing to speak. "Alex isn't actually as much of an asshole as he seems. I don't just date whoever looks good, I swear. He can be sweet, he just gets possesive and angry" he explained, not wanting Nathaniel to think that he dated an asshole just because or something. Alex was always nice to him.
Re: A Sight to See
"Dunno. He looked like he wasn't done." Nathaniel had a feeling, maybe paranoia, but he didn't know. Alex intimidated him with his physical skills. Nathaniel wasn't a fighter, they already knew this now. He had at least been able to not get hit by everything Alex did. Avoiding was a good thing, even though Alex had thought before him on occasions. He had even managed a few hits too. "Possessiveness and jealousy aren't very healthy, but it happens." It seemed Draylen's ex was just a little more extreme than most.
Re: A Sight to See
"Well if he knows what's good for him, he'll stay away. Or else I'll get involved, and whack him one" Draylen said, face serious as he swung his arm, mimicking a punch. He probably wouldn't do much damage, but he knew that Alex would stop, just so he didn't hurt him. "Mhmm. A lot of people get that way, sadly. The world is full of jealous people, myself included. Posessiveness isn't as big, but still quite common" he shrugged, wondering if Alex was as bad as it got, or if there were worse. He was hoping Nathaniel had forgotten what his ex had said about sucking him, but with his luck, he hadn't.
Re: A Sight to See
"He seems to like the sound of his own voice. He really yakked a lot." About a lot of things, actually. Had he really given Draylen a blow job? How far had Draylen gone with his sex life? That wasn't really something you asked your partner until you were ready for it, but it had been brought up and Nathaniel was just a bit curious. "Hmm, was Alex being serious?" he asked the American, wondering if he had to say exactly what he meant by serious. Draylen would most likely know what he was talking about.
Re: A Sight to See
"Yeah, he tends to talk alot. But I can't complain, since I tend to talk alot too" Draylen shrugged, smiling slightly. He just liked to talk. he was a happy person, who liked to talk, and liked to smile. He looked up when the reader spoke again, and he grimaced, knowing what he was talking about. So he hadn't forgotten. "U-uhm, sadly, yeah" he replied, looking off to the side, studying his carpet as his face flushed, feeling awkward, and a bit dirty.
Re: A Sight to See
"Hmm. Is that the only person you've done that with? Have you done anything farther that would be useful to know in the future?" He was older than Draylen and hadn't even gone past kissing. Sometimes things like that made him feel like he should have done at least something with a girlfriend or boyfriend he had, but he hadn't felt up for it. Peer pressure and such, what a bugger. "Well, don't look so upset," he said, seeing Dray look away. "No worries."
Re: A Sight to See
Draylen continued to look at the carpet, wincing slightly at the questions. "Yes he's the only one, no I havn't gone any farther, and I regretted that afterwards" he repled, sighing and running a hand through his hair. He may have regretted it, but he'd be lying if he said he hated it. He reluctantly looked up at Nathaniel, giving a small smile. "Eh. I hope so. Because the whole matter of that is rather awkward for me" he admitted, the awkwardness more the fact about talking about it with Nath.
Re: A Sight to See
"Sounds like," Nathaniel said. "Like I said, bugger all that. Don't fret a bit. The past is the past." His dad used to tell him things like that when he messed up with things. Of course, those things were usually grade and school wise, but he still used to get really worked up about those things. "Anyways, I suppose it isn't entirely important who you've been with and what you did until that time comes, if ever." Like he said, no planning ahead until you knew for certain. For all he knew, Draylen was another person who didn't get as far as removing an article of clothing.
Re: A Sight to See
"I'm glad you think so" Draylen smiled, having been slightly worried that Nath would think down about him since he had done something like that at such a young age. Sure, there were so many more teen pregnancies these days, but he wasn't a slut like most of those girls were. "Mhmm. I like to pretend it didn't happen anyways" he shrugged, wondering idly how far Nathaniel had gone anyways, since he was that old and all.
