she was in the process of studying a few more people walking by when he came up , looking up she smiled, pushing off from the side of the building she had been leaning against.. '' wow, that long huh , hmmm not that we can get sick but you really think you need the whole five weeks off?" falling in step next to him she took a moment to eye his jacket, which fit him well actually.

'' well atleast it sounds like they didn't mind giving you the time off anyways. . so now, lead the way. i have no idea where i am going from here. ''

HE chuckled, then offered her his arm. "Even if I don't, I'm taking it. I deserve it, I think. Besides, I still have unused vacation time as well. But, hopefully, they won't be very hard to find, seeing as how Angelica likes ritual."

she grew quiet a moment, this time her questions where about the trip. '' hmm how long is it going to take us to get to romania? considering i don't think we can go by plane, might take to long. ''

He chuckled. "My dear, I am one of a kind. As far as our travel arrangements, I have a contact who is acquainted with the preternatural; he runs a fleet of shipping barges. He can arrange a cabin for us--for a price. He's human, but he's savvy to the ways of the nightstalkers."

Smiling, he led her downtown, to the high end district. Guiding her through the metropolitan jungle, eventually they came to a string of upscale condos.

'' well, that is a surprise, you seem to have alot of contacts don't you?" that was a bit impressive. For the time it took them to walk downtown they just talked about random things here and there, well up until she got a bit distracted by all the condo's.

'' wish my place was this huge and elegant. '' anyone would think with all the money she stole from mobsters, she would be able to afford something like this, her money however is going to her old run down home, she was in the process of fixing it up with all the works, security and such. vampire had to be careful in a city like this.

He was watching her carefully as she looked upon the condos, and smiled. "Well, when you move in, it will be my dear. He took her upstairs to the top floor, and unlocked the door of the penthouse. He opened it, and ushered her inside. "Make yourself at home."

she followed him silently up to the top floor, still a bit surprised as he opened the door. '' damn. hmmm i think i will'' stepping in she took her shoes on and left them by the door, not wanting to track in any dirt in his home. '' how long did it take you to get this place? '' her gaze scanned the whole area taking everything in from top to bottom, everything in there screamed that the man was elegant and had class. though it wasn't too showy or flashy. she liked it alot.

Double checking that the black out shades were adjusted and the dark curtains were properly in place.
"It took about a year to save up the down payment. The nice thing is... well, since I don't need groceries, and I've no need for a car, I was able to save up much sooner than most humans. I'm still paying on it, until this time next year. I've been doubling up on the payments."

He settled into a plush armchair. "I suppose that it probably could make do with a woman's touch."

'' grinned taking her time to move around and get a feel for the place, every now and then gracing her finger tips over a statue or some other little thing. '' wow, i went for the other approach, i bought land with a very old house on it, its in the process of being renovated and well redone up to fit a vampire.alot less money then this place i think but still costly. especially with all the security and such i am putting into it. ''

"Oh, I'm sure it is," he said, agreeing with her in that the fixer-upper was costly. "yes, this place isn't worth the price tag, but it suits me just fine. I hold property in a few other states as well, though I havn't been to them since I started working for Zachary. They've probably become run down themselves."

He indicated a small box on the wall beside the door. "Great minds think alike. Security systems are a must."

she eyed the box curiously before looking back to him. '' the finest i bet.. tell me something, have you had a run in with the hunters yet?" she was just fishing for a bit of information, her old place was on the out skirts of town, where she had seen atleast one or two hunters, in the city she wasn't sure, they could easily blend in with other people which is why she had to be completely cautious.

frowning slightly before grinning as she took another look around'' you know.. with how many homes i have been in and how many i have fixed up . think i just found one of the things i might get into in this life time. after all decorators and renovators go all over the place and i hear they make lots of money.'' that and she figured it would be alot safer.

'' a flipper? is that what they are calling it now.. '' she grimaced slightly '' sounds like a dolphin to me. ahh not too hungry '' grinned as she followed him, glancing at his neck then back to his face'' i had my fill earlier. . if you don't remember i think i can give you another jump start.''

Leaning against the counter she glanced around in his kitchen, definitely large by far. spacious any persons dream to cook in, well if they where human she was sure she would have enjoyed it.

she couldn't help but roll her eyes a little '' uh huh , i don't faint. from loss of blood or anything else for that matter.. so you could have taken as much as you wanted. '' she couldn't help the teasing on him, it was fun, he definitely had a good whit going on.

'' hmmm besides i am old enough to where i don't need that much blood. and i definitely don't need to feed every day. what about you ? how often do you have to get a meal?"

He chuckled. She was fun to tease. "As much as I wanted, hmm?" he winked at her. "I'll remember that next time."

He listened to her next question, pulling something out of his pantry, and getting out a bottle of merlot. On the counter he mixed his sinister cocktail. He filled a deep glass halfway with the liquor, and then mixed it with the contents of the metal bottle he'd taken from the pantry. Only a fool wouldn't be able to guessn what the sultry-smeeling crimson fluid was. He put both bottles back, and then answered her, "I can fast for about a week, taking doeses from my clients, but as in the case with you I only take a little; human women cant stand for me to take more than a cup a night. As such, on my evenings off I have to hunt. The homeless make excellent targets, and as you know nobody misses them. I tend to avoid the drunks; they smell too much."

He came and leaned against the cunter where she sat, swirling the glass around and taking a swig. "When I hunt, I hunt to kill. I take the surplus blood and store it in case I need a supplement, or just feel like it."

'' hmm i agree with you there that the drunks smell too much but for me i can't be too picky '' she shrugged, watching him swirl around his drink, it actually smelled good.quickly taking her mind off of it, she looked back up at him. '' hmmm same here, hunt to kill, though i tend to drink as much as i can before disposing of the body. unlike you i don't have a way to store it just yet so i end up going a few days without a single drop of blood. Granted it was hard to do even that but over the years it did get easier and easier. taking one of the bar stools that sat by the counter she sat down and relaxed, after all it wasn't every night/ day where she could just enjoy a bit of the evening.'' you know,, i think we can get a lot more out of this then i thought, i got a few things i might be able to teach you and i am already learning a few smarter ways to do things from you . taking the glass and a small sip she savored the small amount before swallowing and giving him back the glass, licking her lower lip slightly she relaxed'' hmmm thats good, well isn't that sweet of you , and to answer your question yes it is a bit difficult. takes alot of patience and a strong will to even go more then four days. let alone two. ''

she glanced at one of the clocks he had in the room , keeping a tab on the time since she knew the sun would be up soon. '' though you might find me here in your home more then your work. your price is just a bit steep for met o keep paying on a daily bases.. ''

He too looked up at the clock. "You can either sleep in the guest bedroom or in mine; I don't mind either way. And should you wish to sleep alone I will take the other room. Don't worry; all rooms have blackout shades."

However, as tempting--" He ran his eyes down her curves. "--as the thought of sharing my bed with you seems, I think perhaps tonight I would enjoy sleeping in private. Plenty of time coming to sleep together."

He smirked, and looked at her when she mentioned washing, when she was apparently already so clean from thier earlier showering. "While I doubt you need be much cleaner tonight, the bathroom's down the hall and to the right."

she grinned'' well like i said its what you say goes.. i will just take the guest room then.. hmmmm one cannot be too clean you know, and no its just the usual , wash before bed, even vamps get cavities if they don't brush .. or floss for that matter, don't get me started on the whole bad breath either, sheesh. thats a downside to blood, makes our breath reek very foul you know.. mouth wash is our best friend . '' stuck her tongue out at him before finding the bathroom easily enough.she still had a spare tooth brush and began her usual care of her teeth.

He chuckled, agreeing silently as he watched her vanish down the hall.
She was a foxy one, she was. He smiled. He was going to enjoy his time with her--especially when she moved in.

As he finished the last swigs of his blood and merlot cocktail, he rinsed out the glass, thinking about what she'd asked earlier, about establishing his own coven. He was beginning to wonder if she may be the one he did it with.

There was still an hour until sunup, and so he sat in the living room, reading this morning's paper--he paid extra to have it delivered at five am--and pondered over the idea of the two of them together. It was appealing.

she finished cleaning up though it took nearly fifteen minutes since she was careful with her teeth, she had met a vampire once who literally had a rotten mouth and she definitely didn't want to end up like that.

One done she found the spare room easily enough , figuring he wanted his personal time now so didn't bother him. pulling the covers down a bit she stripped, tossed her clothing onto a chair near by, having good eyesight meant she didn't have to turn on any of the lamps.

Last thing she did was to comb out her hair before slipping in between the sheets, enjoying the silky feel of them on her bare skin as she settled down and relaxed, her own thoughts where a bit scattered here and there, thinking of one thing before jumping to another then back to the original, she had no idea what made her ask about him making his own coven, but even to her it was a bit appealing. after living so many long years alone it was no surprise to her that now she would be thinking of such things. Closing her eyes she relaxed, last thought running through her head was the fact that Christopher would definitely be one of the good men one might start a coven with, right before she fell into a deep sleep.
