[Tierra]

She spun hearing a women's voice behind her. "Yes, I am Maverik's friend" she thought about the world pet and sighed. As the women approached her beauty was shown. Her curves flowed under a big fur coat. Pere hesitated but then walked towards the women, she had no idea what was going on.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

"Don't be so defensive." The women chuckled. "I know how you feel about him, I use to feel this way too. Tell me young one, has he said 'I love you' yet?" She said circling her.

[Tierra]

She watched the women closely "I....I can't remember" she said thinking about on all that has happened. She looked down as the women circled her. "What's gonna happen to him?" she asked looking up with a sadness in her orbs.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

The women snickered softly. "You worry... How cute." She said walking past her. "Come let us go talk somewhere... Well where more people talk and where we'll be less likely heard." She said walking away frm the ally. The women lead Pere to a noisy tavern full of cheering and loud music.

[Tierra]

She wasn't sure what she though of this women. Maverik is her only friend of corse she would worry about him. She followed the women to a noisy tavern so they could converse and not be heard. "Well? What's gonna happen to him?" she asked.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

The women took out some scrolls and layed them on the table. "Maverik can't be judged, he has been in the world to long and outranks everyone in the clan he kneels to. He is unaware of this." She said placing her hands on the scrolls, keeping them from her. "He wont tell you, its not his thing. You see the first one he told he loved was condemmed to death. Instead he buys the women in his life a weapon, thus the one on my back. Next comes a blue rose, somthing rare and almost extinct. You wont lose him, if you try." She finished taking her hands of the scrolls.

[Tierra]

She looked at the scrolls as the women layed them on the table. "Then why go through with this if he outranks them?" she asked. She looked down. "Why was she condemned to death?" she asked, she felt like a child so many questions and such little knowledge was hers. Her eyes flicked to the weapon on the women's back. She didn't want to lose Maverik. She wished she was with him now. She knew so little about him but felt so much. The women finished talking taking her hands off the scrolls. She looked across at her and then rested her head on her hands.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

The woman laughed. "He dosn't know. As far as he's concerned he's dead. These records keep him alive. You start to lose count of years after you are uneffected by time."

[Tierra]

She listened and tried to sort the facts before her out. She wondered if she would lose track of time. If she would live long enough to. She took a deep breath and looked at the women. "What am I suppose to do?" she asked.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

"Take these to the head of the council. He can't go against ancient law. These records declare him an Elder, and when the council sees these they will have no choice but to release him, less they be judged. So go, sleep throught the day and when the sun sets go to the trial and testify in his favor." The women said as she leaned forward the gave her a gentle kiss on her head. "If you care for him as I have, you will do as I have told you." She said as she rose up and left, leaving the scrolls behind.

[Tierra]

Pere looked down as the women spoke. "And If I fail?" her eyes were slightly watery. She nodded and closed her eyes and thought of Maverik's touch as the women kissed her forehead. "I will move heaven and earth to help him." she said watching the women leave and then she picked up the scrolls and headed out.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

When night came there was silence, not even the wind was blowing. From the keep came a parade of hooded figures walking along side a horse drawn cage. Inside was Maverik, standimg still and looking worried. As the walked to the town gates a few came from the shadows and fallowed, as the court was open to those who knew it was going happen. As they left the town the fallowed a narrow path deep into the woods.

[Tierra]

Pere pulled her hood over herself and followed in the silent wake of hoods following the cage. She looked at Maverik with pain, she wanted to just run to his side but she would have to wait. She followed with her head low and her hood up.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

The people led the cage deep into the woods until they reached a council ring that fell into a platue. The rows of people slowly filled as the Council and Maverik stood into the middle. When the head of the council undid his hood, everone else fallowed suite. "We are here tonight to judge a traitor." He began. "Yes!... He has proven himself a good man and a warrior of legend, but he has committed a crime punishible... BY DEATH..." A few gasped. "By sunlight." As the man spoke gaurds took Maverik and tied him to a cross, binding him to the giant crusifix. "Before the council decides if he is guilty, I shall open the floor to public words."
The crowd up roared in a fury of screams and statements. "That man saved my daughter from head hunters!" One women screamed.
The head glared and remarked. "Wich probably fallowed him."
"I wached him feed on innocent youth... In an early evening." One man replyed.
"And even the most hungry vampires know thats against our better judgement." The head said, agreeing with anything to put Maverik to death.
"Why are you against him, we all know he saved your life."
"Wich is why I've spared him so far.... Tonight is the last straw.... Anyone else!?" He screamed as the crowd went quite.

[Tierra]

Pere removed her hood as the others did. Her pale face reflecting the moon's glow. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath when they mentioned putting Maverik to death. She had to look away for a moment as they tied him to a crucifix.
She listened to the people shouting for and against Maverik's fate, she moved forward her face becoming more into the vision of the council. "This man... He saved my life... I have these" she said holding up the scrolls and praying for a moment that this plan would work.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

(One has a chart of who's who in there peticular family, kinda like a family tree. The other is a letter from an elder stating when Maverik is the right age {as in right now} he can't be tried.)

The council leader looked at the girl who once stood by Maverik's side. "What are those... Better yet, what are you doing here." He said a bit angry, but still playing by the rules. "Do you know that if your proof, of what ever those are, is falty or forged that you too will burn for the aid of a criminal?"

[Tierra]

She stood calm as they gazed their eyes upon her. "These" she said holding up the scrolls "Are papers showing his Family Tree and a letter you may find interesting..." she said with a slight smile "These are not forged and even if they were I would be happy to burn at the side of the man who saved my life." she said stepping forward even more. "The letter claims Maverik is of age to be an elder and there for can not be tried" she said.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

The councelor shivered in anger. "Bring them to me!!" He shouted as someone lept up and snached the scrolls from Pere. The man slowly scanned them over. His eye twiched in anger and stress, but he couldn't deny the evidence. "In light of this new evidence... We will break for another month a regroup once we've scanned the papers." He rose his hande to signal the end, and the crowd uproared again.
As they broke out two hooded figures lept from the audience. As they revealed themselves the vampires around Pere knelt, as did the council members and Maverik. One was a women, the other a man. "How dare you Markus!" The mans said, his companion opening Maverik's cage. "You dare even question a signed document by this family."
"I'm sorry Luke..." Markus said.
"No... But you will be. Hear me now! I luke the eldest of your family here by declair Maverik and elder. He is not to be judges or tried!" He shouted.
His wife sooned joined her side. "I believe we have a new member of this family?" She asked aloud.

[Tierra]

Pere took a deep breath as they took the scrolls from her, she swallowed and looked down with some of her dark hair hiding her face. Suddenly everyone around her was on their knees and so she followed seeing two hooded figures. She looked up through her hair as one opened Maveriks cage, she held back the temptation to get up and run to him.
Pere let out a deep breath knowing now Maverik was safe then she heard the woman speak of a new family member... surely they didn't mean Pere.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

"Fiona, I have bitten." Maverik replied.
"Is she here?" Fiona asked.
"I can smell her." Luke added.
"Maverik, what is her name?" Fiona asked.
"Pere. I bit her and I believe I love her." Maverik wispered.
"Then return to her. I believe she is the one who risked her inocence to save yours. So it would be wise to thank her." Fiona said out loud. "As for everyone else the trial is over, go home!"
The crowd dispersed, leaving Pere and Maverik alone.

[Tierra]

Pere heard her name and looked up. As the crowed started to rise and leave she stood and made her way to Maverik. She stated to walk then run and she flew into Maverik's arms "I was so worried" she said holding him.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

Maverik took her in his arms and held her tight. "I wasn't. Pere, there will be a time when every life must end. I admit I would fight to stay alive, just to spend another second with you, but... I am also ready to face my end, when ever it comes. That being said, not for a long time have I met someone as brave as you. Surviving death, then facing torture and looking it in the eye. You would fight to keep me safe. For this, I am grateful." He said lifting her chin and laying his lips onto hers.

[Tierra]

Mera held him close "Don't ever leave me" she said "I don't know what I would do without you..." she said looking up at his beautiful face. She felt his soft hand under her chin lifting it so he could claim her lips. She put her arms around his neck and kissed him back.

[DragonMaster Pyro]

Maverik broke the kiss and nodded. "Never again." He assured. "Come, lets retreat to our home, the sun will rise soon." He advised, taking her and lifting her into his arms.

[Tierra]

She smiled as he assured her he would never leave. "Sounds like a good Idea. Home sounds nice" she said with a giggle as he picked her up and took her into his arms.
