Re: Primal Instinct
Fallor shugged his shoulders and looked down the stairs into the darkness. "Not sure, though if they had once been human it could be those that you felt." He thought a moment then said, "Or perhaps it is from those that they killed. "
He shook his head as he began to decend the stairs. As he went int the darkness, small dim lights came on. They appeared on the walls above their heads. They were small dome like things, covered in dust. The dim light gave an errie glow in the stair case. Another door was on a small landing and the stairs continued down. "Continue down?" he asked her.

Re: Primal Instinct
She looked around the dim lit room curiously before she noticied the other stairs that continued down and nodded wondering what they would find. The next landing was a pure white sterile room. This gave her the chills something felt wrong, very wrong here. She didn't say anything jsut yet since nothign seemed very wrong but that gut feeling wouldn't go away at all. She almsot tripped over something and turned around gasping at what she saw, it was someone she had almsot tripped over, crouching down she checked for a pulse "nothing, but... why are they here?" she asked

Re: Primal Instinct
Bodies of dead saliors and what was not sailors. The clothing looked very differnt then that of the sailors of Jeb's crew and that of the trading town. The clothing was more of a long, short sleved shirt, belted about the waist. The material that it was made of was soft and fine, like the cotton clothing that he had seen at the Trading town. Instead of leather shoes or boots the corpses had high strapped sandles.
There were adorned with rings and armbands. that were well crafted. "I would say that this is where those creatures leave the bodies of those that they feed upon." This was the last floor of the structure it seemed. There were no more stairs and from above he could hear what ever the creatures were, trying to get through the door that they had escaped through. "Think we had best go up now and try to get out of this place." he told her.

Re: Primal Instinct
She looked to the strange clothing "it's very different" she said softly before looking up when he spoke "Yeah might be an idea, plus we need to see if there is any food on this island, I doubt anyone will be coming to get us anytime soon" she said nodding a little knowig it just seemed near impossible since no one really came here at all. She coudl hear the creature trying to crash through the blockade made by the door. She lead the way back up the stairs and foudn their way into the same room they had started out in, some of the strange jellyfish like monsters or ghosts still floats around.
She remained quite feeling her heart beat picking up and before she found a way out for them giving a sigh of relief once they were out "We are not going in there again" she said "Anyway which way, you pick" she said to him having no clue where to start.

Re: Primal Instinct
He took a few things off the dead bodies. He was not sure but if the ones in the Tunics were from the interior of the island then perhaps they could use them as barter or something. He had no idea if the coins that he had would be of any use here or not. As they lef the structure he heard other sounds coming from higher up. Snarls and the sound of hard nails on stone . As they got away from the struture he saw a glimpse of a long feline like creature with two heads racing down towards where they had just ben. It seemed they had just gotten out of there just in time.
"We will go down the path into the valley below." he told Taigi. Perhaps we will find some people there, like those we found in the one room." He took the lead. As he walked, he tried to clean the feathers in his wings more. The sooner he could fly again the better things would be.

Re: Primal Instinct
She nodded at what he said letting him take the lead at first before she walked a little ahead of him, the scenary was not what she expected, not really consideirng the islands name, "Such a weird place" she muttered. "How are your wings doing anyway, still not able to fly?" she asked him softly before she turned her attention to a strange noise up ahead. She was a little more cautious this time and walked towards where it was slowly, it sounded like a sort of animal call.
Moving carefully thorugh the valley on onseside was a path that lead to a small meadow, that was where some prey animals lived adn grazed. The other path... jsut seemed to be dark, "Maybe that one has some caves, we can look in those another time but let's focus on tryign to find some people, there seems to beenough resources to live here"

Re: Primal Instinct
Normal looking animals grazed on grass. There were deer, wild goats, and others. The path lead down to a large medow, and as they came down to it those animals close by ran off to a safe distance. It would be a place for some good hunting. He was sure that somewhere near by there had to be people.
"The valley widens further on." he told Taigi. "Those large trees could obscure any man made structures from our sight, even from up above." He moved on through the meadow but kept a watchful eye out. He doubted that strangers would be welcomed. If from what Jeb had told him about the island, it was cut off from the rest of the world. The high cliffs that surrounded the island along with the murderious reefs that also seemed to surround the island would keep those that inhabited it there and anyone else out.

Re: Primal Instinct
She nodded a little looking to him "Well let's go see, maybe they can help us get off of here as well?" she said and lead the way through the collection fo various trees, some of which they had never seen before. She looked ahead of ehr "Hey those look like some buidlings" she said pointing ahead of her and looking up to him, the dome like structures ahead of them looked simliar to human huts. She ruffled her hair before she walked ahead slowly peeking through the trees. "Umm, doesn't look too lively" she said hesitantly. "But they're growing crops adn they seem ok, so peopel were hear recentyl" she said to him and walked forward looking into one of the huts.

Re: Primal Instinct
Fallor pulled Taigi back from the hut and back into the trees. "I think first we should see if these people are friendly. From the looks of these huts, they are primative and might not like strangers poking around in their homes."
He moved around the village, keeping to the trees until he spoted the people of the Village. They were dancing around a mound in what he could only discribe strange outfits that resembled the strange creatures of the structure they had left on the cliffs. It was as if they were worshiping the creatures. On top of the mound was a couple people dressed in the Tunics and sandles of the dead people in the lower level of the structure.

Re: Primal Instinct
She looked to him about to speak when he pulled her back but saw what he meant when he refered to what she had been doing and remained quiet. she followed him and soon she too saw the people as they danced around the mound and then saw the tunics and sandles, they were the same ones that had been on the dead people in the basements of that old structure, "Maybe they think of it as like their god, or it could be a peace offering?" she whispered softly to him so they wouldn't be heard. She watched and soon heard thump one the gorund which frightened her a little and gulped watching as that strange cat like creatures just appeared from nowhere and looked down to the people dressed in those clothes. The others stood back and the people in the middle started to panic. Taigi moved a little scared to watch adn hid behind Fallor a little holding his arm adn closing ehr eyes tightly as she hid her gaze away from what was happening.

Re: Primal Instinct
The two head cat's tail swished back and forth as it slowly moved up towards the tied up humans. It's heads turned looking at the dressed up figures and growled lowly, before it sprang up and each head opened its mouths and grabbed one of the two humans. It then bounded away, back the way that Fallor and Taigi had come. The two screamed and screamed, but it didn't look as if the cat like creature was going to eat them just yet.
Fallor pushed Taigi behind him more and kept a large tree between them and the figures in the clearing. After the cat creature left, those in the clearing removed the mockup s of the creatures in the structure and began moving back to the village. As they entered the forest, Fallor put one of his wings about Taigi to hide her more and put an arm about her. Once the villagers were gone he again began moving the two of them out of the area and more into the valley.

Re: Primal Instinct
She hadn't seen any of it,frightened nand hiding behind Fallor a little as it all happened but covered her ears when she heard screaming. She heard branches cracking under the cat creatures feet as well. She did move when she felt Fallor push her behind him more and looked up to him when she felt the arm and wing voer her, suddenly moving her hands she touchedhis wings a little curious to see if they were like gaint birds wings really.
"Soft" she muttered softly letting Fallor guide them both back into the valley again, "W-why was that creature there, think they treat it as their god?" she asked softly guessing that was the case with what looked like a sacfice cermony.

Re: Primal Instinct
"More then likely those creatures are used by the other ones in the structure to bring them people to feed upon. Then when they are done with them the Cat cratures feed upon the dead bodies." It was the only possible explanation he had for the creatures to be there. The villagers captured people tied them up and sacrificed them. The way they were dressed for the ceremony indicated to him that they felt that the strange looking creatures were thought of as gods, and possibly that the cats were their messengers.
His people had no beliefs in gods. They only believed there was a creator out there somewhere that made life and the world. What his or her design was they didn't know nor did they really wish to try and interpet it. They gave thanks for their lives, and that of others, and the birth of children. Thanks were given for the bounty of food and fresh water that sustained thier lives. But they had no rituals, no pre planed prayers to recite.
"Let us keep moving," he said, not taking his hand of her ass as they walked. "Perhaps we can find the people that those that were sacrificed beloned to. "

Re: Primal Instinct
She nodded a little at what he said pausing to think a little "Maybe they live in the caves, their skin was quite pale I noticed so might not get out in the sunshine often, plus I heard a lot of fish live in underwater caves so people can live there especially if there is a fresh water cave" she nodded thinking ti was actually a possibly "Why not go check it out?" she asked him when they got back tot eh fork in the valley. "Well? you going to come?" she asked clearly going to look reguardless of whether he came or not "and we might find some fish for ourselves there, we haven't colelcted anything to eat for tonight" she suddenly noticed.

Re: Primal Instinct
"Their clothing looked to good to be living in caves. No those people are more advanced then the villagers and they should be further inland and not closer to the trail that leads up to the top of the cliffs." But she was right about food. They had to find something to eat. "From the top of the cliffs I saw a stream a bit further on. Should be able to spear a few fish and there might be some fruit trees about as well."
Besides he didn't want to go checking out some dark caves. No telling what might be in them. Especially since there were those strange creatures in the one structure. "Also I prefer the open to something enclosed at the moment."

Re: Primal Instinct
She nodded "Yeah, let's see what we can find, plus I'm getting hungry and before we know it dusk will be upon us" she said "Well lead the way, I'm not sure where this river is" she said and followed his lead until they were there, she found some fruit trees and clambered up the branches to reach the fruit herself beingcareful not to slip, finding some rather strange fruits as well, not ones found back in their homeland, she had left him to fishing as well since she liked climbing the trees anyway. jumping down after she had a load she carried them to beside the river adn tried to help him, thinking a little. "Maybe if we used something, like a peice of clothing or a net and chase the fish into it, we can get some more?"

Re: Primal Instinct
He found the stream and also a suitable branch that he cut and sharpened to form a small spear like insturment. "Make a fire." he told Taigi and gave her a small pouch with a piece of flint and steal in it. "I will go see what fish I can spear." He waded out in to the cold water and looked down in to it's clear substance. He saw some good size fish and positioned himself. He waited until one came close and then thrust the spear into the water impaling the fish. A couple more times and he had enough for them to cook a decent meal.
He brought them back to where he had left Taig and he looked at her. The shirt had ridden up on her and her ass was showing and more. He stood there for a bit looking before he came up and placed the fish on a flat rock. He then began to construct a spit that they could put the fish on once they had been cleaned.

Re: Primal Instinct
She headed back after eh hands her the pouch with the peice of flint and steel in it. "Good luck" she said to him and when she got there she kneeled down having not noticed his shirt had risen up as she made the fire blowing on it a little to get it going around the time he had got in and looked to him smiling a little she searched her own pouch and pulled out her own peice of steel and began to gut the fish, having gottne very good at it over the years and also cleaned the fish out as well. "Perfect" she said after she had finished sitting cross legged beside the fire with the freshly gutted and clean fish infront of her.

Re: Primal Instinct
Fallor watched Taigi clean the fish and then when done, he placed them on the spit so that they would not fall off when they were cooking. Then placing them over the fire the long stick through them laid on two fork like pieces he had pushed into the ground. He then sat nest to Taigi as the fish cooked. Soon the air was filled with the smell of cooking fish.
It was to bad that they did not have some of the spices that the cook on the ship had. Back home Fallor had none of that and he had liked it. It made the food taste alot better, especially when used in the cooking process. He looked at Taigi grinning a bit as he wondered if she would like to have sex with him.

Re: Primal Instinct
She settled herself down watching the fish cooking before she noticed his grin and raised an eyebrow "What're you grinning about Fallor?" she asked him curiously, she really did wish she ahd her clothes still btu they had shrunk due to the rain the day before and falling into the sea. She shivered feeling cold and coming up with and idea.Taigi moved Fallor a little and sat in his lap cheekily getting him to wrap his wings aorund them both since she knew it would make them both a bit warmer. "Much better now, I really need t make some more clothes so you can have your shirt back and really what are you grinning about?" she said looking up to him, feeling a sudden heat rush to ehr cheeks quickly turned away and focused on the dancing flames.
