Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
She looked at him, a slight smile on her face, we was worried about her. "I'll be fine until we get to the safehouse," she said, resting her hand on his arm, "But I won't be pleasant company when we remove it. It didn't puncture my lung, nor am I bleeding excessively, so no arteries were hit. And the way it is hitching, I would say it hit my rib." She knew she wasn't a doctor, but she cold tell it wasn't terribly serious. "I'll take you up on that extraction offer when we get back though," she said, grimacing when her coat snagged on the bolt.

Keath smiled lightly. "I've had to patch myself up a few times... I think I might be able to make this feel better." he said. He lifted the sack easily. "Tomorrow is going to be interesting. We will probably be wanted... a reward out for both of us." he said. "But... with this evil man out of the way, things will be better." he said. "I'll help you get out of here. Are you able to walk?" he asked.

She nodded, glancing at Darune's body briefly before glancing toward the window. "I'll be fine," she said, pushing the window open and scanning above and below thoroughly, "You go first, I'll tail and see if we are followed. I'll meet you back at the safehouse." She looked up at him, her gaze steady. "I've fought with worse and won," she said, stretching up and brushing his lips with hers, careful to not press her body to his, "Don't worry about me, we're not in the clear yet."

Keath looked down at her as their lips brushed against each other. He wanted to grab her and hold her, but he knew that it would hurt her if he was to do that... He looked out the window at the ground below. An easy jump and getaway. "I'll be waiting for you... I promise... hurry." he said jumping out of the window to the ground, rolling, he ran quickly off into the night.

Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
She watched from the darkened window as his shadow vanished across the grounds. Waiting for a moment longer, she didn't see anyone move to follow him. Leaping from the window, she glided smoothly across the grounds, following in his wake. Stopping and scanning her back-trail every now and again, she doubled back a couple of times, trying to spot any followers. After making the decision that they were in-fact not followed, she slowly made her way toward the safehouse. Reaching it, she slipped in through the door and turned, closing it in such a way that it would make a racket upon opening. She also strung a thin, mono-filament cord about halfway down the stairs. At the bottom, she placed some of her throwing darts, point up, just in case. Nodding in satisfaction, she made her way toward the door. Opening it, she silently slipped in, shutting it loudly after entering the room.

Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
Keath had gotten back a bit sooner. He had set down his bag of goods. Quickly he made the bed a bit, he would need her to lay down so he could fix her up a bit. He got out some medical supplies, bandages, herbs, things that he would need to use if he wanted her to get better. It was then he heard the door slam. He instantly reached for a dagger and jumped up expecting the worst, but hoping for the best. Seeing it was her, he smiled. "Thank god... alright... lets get you fixed up." he said with a small smile.

She smiled before crossing to him, her good arm reaching up and pulling her sword from her back and tossing it on the couch. It was quickly followed by her belt. Looking up at him, she drew a slow breath as her eyes wandered over the healing supplies. "Could you give me a hand with my coat," she asked, twisting slightly as she worked the heavy black leather over her shoulders slightly, "I would also be wary about the bottom of the stairs, and the seventh stair from the bottom. Tripcord on the stair and darts on the landing below."

Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
Keath moved over towards her and helped her. "Careful how you twist... not want to make it any worse..." he looked at it closer in the light. "Looks like it is pretty bad..." he said. "You are going to be sore for a while, but it isn't fatal." he said with a smile. He seen the trap she set up. It would work. "Alright... I'll help you lay down and I'll get to work... I've gotten hit like this before. It isn't fun... but you will be alright." he said kissing her lightly and leading her to the bed. He needed to get that out of her.

Mutterig slightly under her breath, she allowed him to steer her towards the bed. Before lying on the bed, she turned to look at him before carefully reaching up and loosening the laces on her shirt before carefully drawing it away from her wound. Holding it there with her bad arm, she reached down into her boot and withdrew her gleaming knife. Slicing down the laces on one side, she dropped her shirt on the floor, finally seeing the laces in the light. Looking at him sheepishly, she carefully sat down on the bed, looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
Keath looked back at her with her top off once more. It wasn't so bad. He turned around and picked up some herbs. He found some and his mortar and pestle. He made some of the herbs into a fine paste and took some out. He moved to the wound. "This might sting a bit, but it will numb shortly after. It will dull the pain when I take it out." he said, not wanting to cause her any harm. "After that, I'm going to put a bit more medicine on it and bandage it up. It should heal up nice in a few weeks. But then again, I don't know how fast you are able to recover." he said. He spread the mixture around the wound.

She smiled slightly before the cool mixture touched her wound. Sucking in a breath, she squeezed her eyes shut, opening her mouth, she forced herself to breathe deeply. In and out, in and out. "Damn it to the nine hells," she said in between deep breaths, "A bit? A bit my ass. It burns, bad." Something he had said caught her attention, between bouts of agony, she managed a pained chuckle. "A few weeks, a few days," she said with a grimace, "What's some healing time between species?" She groaned, feeling the area around the bolt begin to numb, she knew that was as good as numbing salves worked on her, and she said as much.

Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
Keath felt bad that it hurt. "Yeah, but if I told you it was going to hurt that bad, you might not let me touch it." he said. "Don't worry, I'll get it fixed up... but first we are going to have to get this out..." he said. He had some cloths ready for the blood. When it was nice and numb he warned her. "Alright... here goes..." he said as he started to pull out the bolt. It came out easy enough, but it looked painful. The numbing salve would help a bit, but still. Once it was out she started bleeding, he put a little pressure on it to make sure the didn't lose any more blood than she was. "Alright... the worst is over." he said. "How are you holding up?"

Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
She felt the bolt twisting, senting shooting pains up her chest and down her closest arm, grinding her teeth she looked at him. Fisting her hands in the bedcloths, she breathed through the pain. She knew it was nowhere near the pain she would have felt without the numbing salve. "I've been better," she said, releasing her death grip on the sheets, "But it is so much better with a numbing salve." She dropped her head to her chest and sighed, "And this is probably the part where you tell me to pick my arms up so you can dress the wound, right," she asked, smiling cheekily.

"Beautiful, strong, and able to read minds. The whole package." he said teasingly. He felt bad hurting her, but he was glad that she was getting through it. He had some moist cloth for bandages, putting some certain herbs on under it, letting the wounds heal quicker. He began to dress the wounds. Making them tight enough to stay still, but loose enough for her to be able to move somewhat well. "There... now you just need to rest... no excitement for a few days." he said with a laugh.

Rolling her eyes, she took a deep breath to see how the bandages were riding. Raising her eyebrows, she grinned widely before leaning forward and grabbing the back of his head, pressing her lips to his forcefully. Pulling back, she smirked at him, her eyes boring into his, "Does that count as excitement," she asked as her hands began roaming down his chest, feeling him through his shirt.

Keath laughed, feeling her wonderful hands on his body. "Yes... but I think I can allow this." he said kissing her as well, his hands moving over her body, but being careful of a sore spot. "Sadly, we will have to be a bit careful... we don't want that to hurt..." he said

She smiled, grabbing the front of his shirt and lying back on the bed, pulling him down with her. Her lips eagerly found his once again as her fingers buried themselves into his hair. His weight pressed slightly uncomfortably on her wound, but she ignored it in favor of her fingers sliding over his scalp. Carefully sliding her tongue out of her mouth, she licked his lower lip lightly, teasing him.

Feeling her figures running through his hair was nice. He liked it. He enjoyed it almost too much. Still, he tried to keep some of his weight off of her, so she wouldn't hurt too much. His tongue came out and played with hers a bit before he kissed her deeply. "Mmm... you did great today..." he said with his lips brushing against hers.

Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
Moaning lightly, she quickly pushed him onto his back, wincing slightly before straddling him. "Mmm, thanks for the compliment," she said, slipping her hands back into his hair as she laid along his body, "But, frankly speaking, I had the easy part. You, on the other hand, were the one who did all the work, and a brilliant bit at that." It was at that point in time that her stomach let loose an ungodly rumble. Sitting up, she glared down at her stomach, pouting slightly. "How...unfortunate," she said dryly, smiling slightly, "I'm surprised your stomach hasn't done the same." She poked him in the stomach playfully.

Keath let her push him over, not like he had much choice, he wouldn't fight her, and if he did, he knew he would lose. Still, he liked looking up at her as she straddled him. He smiled as she poked him. "I usually go a while without food, but if I keep my mind off of it it..." at that moment, he was interrupted by a rumble from his own. "It... doesn't bother me." he finished. Though he noticed how hungry he was. "I... have some food around here if you are hungry? You lost a lot of blood... you should eat to keep your energy up." he said looking up at her a bit worried.

Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
She smiled at him, her finger sliding along the hills and valleys of his abs. Looking down at him, her smile slowly slid off her face as she studied his features. Ignoring his comment for a moment, she leaned down and kissed his chest. Her hands slid up his chest to caress his pecs before her stomach gave another monstrous growl. "Oh, damn it all to hell," she said, resting her forehead on his chest. She knew this wasn't just human hunger she was feeling, and ignoring it usually worked, but not when she was injured. "We should get something to eat," she said, thinking quickly, "Got any smoked meat?" She knew meat would work, but not as well as blood, it was a start.

"Yeah..." he said looking down at her, stroking her hair. "I usually smoke it and preserve it. It keeps it good for a while as long as I store it in a cool place." he said. I got some about two days ago, it is still good. I can cook it up to get it warm if you want." he said kissing her once more, his hand sliding down her back, tracing along, still careful. "But... I'll have to get up." he smiled.

Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
She smiled innocently, "What, no telekinetic capabilities? I met a telekinetic once," she trailed off, her smile broadening. She could feel the length of her fangs, but she didn't particularly care at this moment in time. Seeing his look, she huffed irritably before rolling from him, landing on her back beside him. Folding her arms across her bare chest, she pouted, fighting a wince as one of her fangs peeked from the bottom of her lip, totally breaking the image she was trying for.

Keath smiled, seeing her pout. "It's alright, I'll be back soon. I just got to get something for us to eat." he said standing up. He went to a small icebox and removed a plate with two thick slices of smoked meat. "Alright... I just got to warm these up." he said. He looked at her and seen a fang coming from her bottom lip. He was a bit worried... she must have been really hungry. He could help her, but he wondered if the meat would do it. He went to a small stove and put on the meat. Getting it warmed up for them. "This wont take long." he said.

Re: A Movement in the Shadows (May be mature)
Twisting around, she got into a comfortable position on her stomach, watching him, her chin perched on her hands. Her pale blue eyes followed him around the room, and she couldn't help but feel he was wearing too much clothing. Pulling her lower lip through her teeth, she watched him move around, preparing fooe. "Mmm, a man that can cook," she said, resting her head in one hand, "Perfect! Can you get any better? Handsome, energetic, and able to cook."
