She smiled, wrapping her arms around him and relaxing her body atop his. "Hmm," she said, raising an eyebrow, "Is that so? I think you may be a little biased. But, thank you for the compliments. That just earned you brownie points." She said the last sentence with a playful lilt in her tone as she looked down at him.

"Brownie points?" He asked her a bit playfully, "And what might I be able to do with those?" he asked, happy with her body relaxed on top of him. That playful little sound in her voice made him grin.

Smiling at him, she propped her chin on the center of his chest, looking at him thoughtfully. "Oh, I don't know," she said, waving her hand in the air, "You're a smart man, I'm sure you will figure something out." She placed her hand back on his chest as she looked into his face, watching his thoughts flicker across it.

"I'm sure..." he said sweetly. He put his hand down, caressing the back of her head, running fingers though her hair... he was starting to become fond of it, like she had with his hair. "I'm sure it will be something fun... but then again, my mischievous mind could come up with anything... you don't get to be the most wanted thief around without having some creativity." he said playfully.

She smiled, closing her eyes as his fingers buried themselves in her hair, who knew her scalp was an erogenous zone? Her lips parted slightly in a groan as he did. "Mmm," she said, "Creativity is good, I've always been fond of a creative anything. Especially creative entrances, those have always been entertaining." Her thoughts flicked to the previous nights entrance into the manor and she smiled at her own creativity. "I never did ask," she said, forcing her eyes open, "How did you get into the manor?"

Hearing her slight noise of pleasure, he kept up his little work, running his hand through her hair, feeling her head. "My entrance? Well... it was easy, an open window... but I figured he would be expecting that... I kept my guard up... after getting past a few guards I referred to my map... It has secret passages marked out, most not even known by Darune... I slipped around the manor unspotted... Easy." he said "What about you?"

She looked at him, almost falling asleep as his hands continued to run through her hair, groaning slightly. "I used the chimney," she said, shimmied down into the 'throne room,' dispatched the guard patrolling the halls, then it was just a simple act of slipping through the halls and to his bedchambers. It was a cakewalk." She smiled, closing her eyes and thoroughly enjoying the feeling of his hand running through her hair.

"The chimney?" he laughed. "Genius, I don't know why I didn't think of that." he said. "Smart, sly, and beautiful." he said, still moving his hands through her hair... he was enjoying this... the look of contentment on her face... He kissed her lightly. "Looks like he wasn't prepared... he shouldn't have underestimated us." he said.

She smiled, slowly moving up to look at him. "Oh, he was prepared, and he didn't underestimate you," she said calmly, "He knew perfectly well that you would get in and steal. His defenses were geared to keep me away, but he was working on limited intelligence, he only knew what I allowed him to know about me." Her hand slid up his chest to slip into his hair, copying his own actions. "He could retake his riches," she said in explanation, "But he can't remake his life. As I said earlier, the man is a snake!"

Keath smiled up at her. "You don't need to keep anything from me... you can tell me everything about you... I want to know you... who you are... the kind of wonderful person I now have in my life." he said kissing her lightly, in his eyes, she could do no wrong.

She kissed him back, her fingers not stopping their movement. Pulling back, she smiled at him. "You, love," she said, her smile just as big, "Already know more about me than anyone else in this world. But, I shall keep a few things a secret, afterall, who doesn't enjoy a few surprises?" She kissed the tip of his nose, a giant grin on her face, teasing him.

Keath looked up at her, seeing how she was teasing her he smiled back. "Well..." he said, his hands still moving through her hair. "I guess I will have to find ways to make you talk." he said with a grin.

Pulling her hand from her hair, she made a zipping and locking motion over her mouth, smiling as she did so. "Lips are sealed," she said with a grin, knowing he would have a witty retort, especially since she 'sealed' her lips before speaking, "Can't be giving away all my secrets now, women are supposed to have secrets, don't you know?"

"Hmm... sealed lips... well, I'm a master at getting things open... whether it be doors or tight lips." he said. He kissed her lightly. His hands moving from her head and down her body, feeling her skin on top of him, he moved resting on her hips. "But you are right... a bit of mystery is always sexy... especially with you."

She smiled against his mouth, moaning slightly as his hands slid down her body, touching the sensitive scar tissue on her back. She felt his hands come to a stop atop her hips. Slipping her hand under his neck, she curled her fingers in the soft, short hairs located there. Pulling back slightly, she licked her lips slowly, her eyes meeting his. Leaning forward again, she captured his lips and slowly slid her tongue inside to slide along his.

Keath felt her tongue slide inside of his mouth. He moaned lightly, playing with it. He sighed gently lovingly kissing her over and over... loving every moment. He brought his hands up her back, feeling her, rubbing her lightly, little massages...

She pulled back slightly, pressing a kiss to his jaw, then down to his neck. Pressing her tongue to his flesh, she sucked gently, moving down a little to do the same again. Pulling back, she kissed his lips again, enjoying the taste of him as she did.

As she sucked his neck lightly, a small wave of pleasure went over his body... he continued to wander his hands over her body... loving every moment of it. Suddenly he heard something upstairs... his body went ridgid... he couldn't believe it... "Shh... love... wait... someone is up there..." he said. Sure enough footsteps would be heard... coming near the door to the basement, the door slammed open, Kaia's trap worked though. The man tripped falling down the stairs. Landing spot on, the darts pierced his skin. A yell of pain could be heard as the man slowly tried to move, a pool of blood starting to form. He had the dressings of a guard, perhaps searching for them.

Kaia leapt from him, quickly pulling on her clothing and weaponry at the first sound. Just as she tossed her coat around her shoulders, the smell of blood reached her nostrils. Her muscles went rigid as her eyes widened. Grinding her teeth together, she slowly turned to look at Keath, a ring of red around her pupil, and steadily growing. "Keath," she whispered, shaking from the effort she was taking to restrain herself, "Get out! Run!" She could feel her fingernails lengthening and sharpening, drawing blood as she clenched her fists tightly. She knew from experience that the red ring of color in her eyes was steadily growing.

As soon as she got up off of him. He followed suit, getting his clothes on... As soon as he finished, he seen what was happening to her... only moments ago they were cuddling, loving each other... now this... misfortune... He seen her nails grow... her eyes having a red ring around them... this is what she warned him about... he needed to get her into sunlight... it was evening right now... only a few hours of sun left... if that. He moved quick, going upstairs... hopefully the body would slow her down... but... even if she came after him... would be be quick enough, or would he fall to her fangs as well?

Suddenly, she stopped shaking. Twisting her head, she popped her neck before bounding toward the door after him, her booted feet echoing as she flew through the door. She hesitated slightly at the body before sniffing disdainfully at the deceased corpse, there was fresh blood on the run. Leaping to the top of the stairs, she ran toward where she knew the exit was. Stopping at the door, she narrowed her eyes and took a careful sniff. The last person through this door was the fallen guard. Turning so she faced back toward the darkness, her mouth curled in a hungry grin. "I know you're in here," she said in a dark, cruel voice, "Come out, come out wherever you are...I just want a bite, just a little bite." She slowly crept back toward the basement stairs, kicking doors open and scanning their interior before continuing on. From her observations, the building only had the one exit. The windows were boarded up, and it was connected to other buildings on three sides.

Keath hiding in the shadows, unseen by her so far. He heard her voice, still seductive even in this dangerous form. She just wanted a little bite... he knew what that meant... though how she said it almost made him want to give himself up to her. Let her take all the blood she wanted from him... but he came back to his senses... knowing what it would cost him to do such a thing. Only one exit... he could make a move for it, but she was quicker than him... so he thought, he needed to get her out into the sunlight... time was running out. He didn't want to hurt her... but it seemed to be the only way.

"I can smell you, you know," she said, taking a whiff of the stale air, "Fear, concentration, and...dare I say it...arousal." She looked around again, her crimson gaze snapping around the darkened confines, passing him by, "You could try to run for it, but I will catch you, and you know it. Don't you?" Snarling, she punched through the wall, blasting a hole in the wood. Looking down at her bloodied knuckles, she slowly licked the blood from the wounds. "COME OUT," she shouted, no longer sounding like herself, but more like a demon, "AND I WILL MAKE IT PAINLESS!"

This wasn't her any longer... this was something else... some sort of beast... but he knew... she could smell him. If he didn't move it would only be a matter of time before... well... she was stronger, quicker, he couldn't fight her, he wasn't a fighter to begin with. He couldn't use shadows against her. She had it spot on though, everything she could smell... he knew he wouldn't last long. He quickly and quietly came from his shadows once her back was turned. Moving as quick as he could to the door. He waited for her to notice him... he was next to the door... he only hoped that she would follow him... and that he would be fast enough to make it out.

Hearing movement behind her, she spun and spotted him moving toward the door. "Gotcha," she said, leaping across the distance between them. She hit him low on the back, within arm's reach of the door-frame. She peeled her lips back from her fangs, her eyes locking onto his neck. "It was a good choice you made, lovey," she said, the demonic lilt still in her voice, "Very good." She opened her mouth, preparing to plunge her fangs into his neck.
