A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
The battle field was the ruins of what had been a city. The buildings were mostly caved in from being bombed, having tank shells, aterllery shells and the like. Daniel moved through the rubble with care and a watchful eye as he tried to get back to his company. His squad had been wiped out in an ambush, but not before they had taken quite a number of the enemy with them. Anywhere could be an enemy lurking to put a bullet in him.
In the distance he could hear gunfire and knew that he was heading in the right direction. It was then that a shadow fell over him and everything went black. He awoke laying on the ground, on some sort of furs. His uniform, body armor and gear to include his weapons were gone. He wore now a tunic of gray color. He looked around and it looked as if he was in a tent and as he moved his leg he felt the weight of a metal shackle on his right ankle. There were others in the tent, mostly women, beautiful women and a few men.\
He moved his leg up where he could inspect the shackle and saw it opened with a key. How had he came to this place. The tent reminded him of the Bedouins tents of Iraq. If he was there how had he gotten there from Afganistan. He shook his head. Evidently he had been drugged, but how. The last he remembered was a shadow falling over him. He had not been hit with anything, of that he was sure.
He heard people talking outside the tent and it was getting closer. He laid back down and pretended to be asleep still. A man entered in robes of Yellow and Black. But they were not those of Iraq's type clothing, they looked more of clothing wore along time ago in Persia. He also had a dagger slipped into a black sash. He watched through barely opened eyes as the man walked about the tent and looked at the sleeping people. As he passed Daniel rose silently and grabbed the man, putting a hand over his mouth and grabbing the dagger withe his other hand and put it to his throat. "Silence or I will slit your throat. "Where am I and who are you?"
"In broken english, he replied. "You are on Gor and I am Demitri the Slaver."
"Gor? Where is that?" Daniel asked.
"Gor is a world on the oppisite side of your sun." he said.
"World? That does not make sense." Daniel said.
"Your world does not know of it, until people like you are brought here. It is in the same orbit as Earth but directly opposite Earth where it can not be seen or detected. The Priest Kings make sure of that." He was still confused and not sure what the man was talking about. Their conversation was interupted men shouting in fear and anger. He knew that sound in a mans voice. "The key and quickly." he told the man. The man produced a key and Daniel snatched it from the man's hand and pusshed him from him. He quickly unlocked the manacle and moved to the entry of the tent.
Outside was panic as several men in red tunic's rode up fast on strange looking beasts. They had shields, broadheaded spears, swords and Greek looking helmets. They had an insignia on their tunics as did those in red tunics that were trying to defend the camp that he was in. Daniel threw the dagger down and picked up a sword and shield. He smiled at the familar feel of the sword in his hand. He had taken sword fighting up as a hobby. Not fencing, but the cut and slash type figthing. He had even used a shield now and then but preferd just using the sword. But this situation seemed to warrant one. The sword was short much like that the Greets used as was the round shield.
One of the men in red on the strange creatures came at him, throwing his spear. Daniel deflected it with his shield, spun and slashed the rider across his midsection as he passed him. He fell to the ground cut wide open and then two more rode up but stopped and dismounted and advanced on foot with their swords and shields. They spoke to him in a language he did not understand. Then he heard one laugh as he made his attack.
The fight did not last long. Daniel was an expert at this and used more then swordfighting skills to out manuver the two. He spun, twisted and even jumped as he leaped forward and came down on one, driving his sword over the mans shield and into the man's heart. The second man died soon after and those that seemed to be there to protect the camp managed to fight the others off.
When the fighting was over the man he had held at knife point, well dagger point, emerged from the tent. He looked at Daniel and smiled. "A warrior." he chuckled, but stopped as Daniel turned to him with a stern gaze. "No insult intended Warrior." As the guards saw him with sword and shield they began to approach him ready to fight. But the man in yellow and black spoke to them in the same language the man in red had spoke to him in. The guards eased their stances.
"I am Dimetri the Slaver. You have helped save my valuable property of slaves. Please come inside. No harm will come to you. You are a free man now. I give you your freedom for what you have done. He went back inside with Demetri and over the next several months he stayed with him learning the language and what he could about the strange world he was now on. He earned his keep by protecting the slaver's property which was a number of naked women that were to be pleasure slaves. Most had been brought from earth but a few were from the world he was on, which he learned had been populated long ago by humans. The ones called the Priest Kings had brought humans there and their society was broken up into differnt Casts. Demetri was of the Slaver/Merchant Cast. Daniel was considered the Warrior Cast. There were other casts as well.
They had visited many cities in their Journey with Ar and Koraba being two that impressed him most. In Ar Demetri showed him the Tarns and Danel fell in love with the great winged beasts. They were there for some time doing business and he took to training to become a Tarnsman. Demetri could see how taken he was with the giant hawk like creatures and knew that this is where they would probably be parting ways. As a parting gift, Demetri bought Daniel a Tarn. "It has been a good journey with you my friend." he told Daniel, "May you have good fortune in your future."
When Demetri left Ar he was a rich man, but as always one wanted more so he was off to gather mover slave girls. Perhaps even from earth. Daniel wandered About Ar and found himself in the great slave market of Ar. He wandered around it looking. In his time with Demetri he had learned a few things and had seen quite a many beautiful women, and had enjoyed them as well.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver had known little in her life beyond food, violence and protection. Unlike so many of the barbaric women, in other words, those brought from Earth, Silver had been born and raised on Gor. Not that being raised would quite fit with the civilised men of this world, nor the women for that matter. In either term, Gor was a dangerous place, filled with dangerous creatures and dangerous men. The men were the worst. Between the slavers, the Tarnsmen and the Warriors, women learned to behave, or face death. As it happened, many women, at first, would claim death, but would later learn that obedience was much more palatable. Silver was not one of these women.
Silver wasn't sure how old she was, nor how or where she was born. She just knew that she had been. To her, the humans were a dangerous sort that were oddly enough, quite easy prey. Though, to a sleen, most bidpeds were just that, easy prey. Unknown to the humans, Silver, though being a human herself, had been born among them and raised with them. As far as she was concerned, her mother was one and she lived and hunted with them as one of them. She had earned her keep in the 'pride' so to speak. Of course, everything changed and it was no different for Silver.
Captured almost ten years ago by an obsessed and rather disgusting male human, Silver had learned the true depravity of men and she was learning it all over again. She had been through no less than ten slave markets and almost double the number of human homes. The first of her so called masters had named her silver on account of her bright silver eyes and silver streaks in her hair and because silver was a such a rare element on Gor and because she was so small to go with the silver in her eyes and hair, it seemed fitting for him to call her that. He had tried and by the High Priests, he had tried, but her feral nature had overcome him and he had to return her to the market. Since then, the long line of males that had tried and failed so spectacularly to train her and make her obedient had come to little more than a number of deaths in the household, usually the pets and one small serving slave. However, that was nothing compared to what she faced now, it seemed.
In her last home, the master had taken such a liking to training her for a pleasure slave that it became an obsession to him. he'd even gone so far as to place her with only females in a specialist harem to condition her. That too had failed, but he had been so incensed on the task that he'd left himself open. Sleen, as it stated in their name, were wild and feral creatures that unless bred in captivity, would think nothing of ripping a person apart and eating them as prey animals no matter their race, colour or cast. On this particular occasion, it was the master himself. He had forced himself on Silver without warning, sneaking up on her from behind and attacking her. He had failed. His son had found him the next morning, being eaten bit by bit in the middle of the bedroom floor. And then after that, a slave had found her chewing on both of them. That had been the final nail in her coffin so to speak.
So now, after all that and more, Silver found herself back in the slave market, destined for the most inhospitable place Gor had to offer, the deep lava mines. She wasn't kept with the other slaves as the slavers had learned that she had a liking for eating their prized catches. No, Silver was placed well out of the way, chained to the far wall by both hands and feet. With not a stitch in her, not that she cared much, no collar, no brand, nothing but the scars of her past on her skin and her tattoo. She'd never understood why the humans had done that and she'd never actually seen the ink for herself. Mirrors made her nervous and unpredictable. The tattoo was of a pair of tribal wings in a deep 'V' shape that covered almost the entire depth and expanse of her forehead. It marked her as dangerous and feral. Wings depicted a creature that could never be tamed or trained. This mark had sealed her doom, though she didn't quite understand it.
On that particular day, there was a showing in the pens. She watched as many of the women vied to gain the attention of the men coming and going. Many were pleasure slaves and begging to be noticed. They assumed the correct position, no doubt through a lifetime of training, their knees spread wide, back's straight, heads down and hands up, crossed at the wrists. Silver recognised this position as a beg, for she had been beaten often for not doing it. Silver would never beg. Many men were coming and going today, it seemed, but as she looked through the pens, there was a lot of red on show.
And then, in amongst the crowds of well dressed men, Silver noticed one man that just didn't quite fit. He wasn't weak, not by any means, but he wasn't Gorean either. Silver knew of the barbarian race of Earth and he seemed to carry that nature about him. His clothes said Tarnsman, but something else said Warrior. Gorean men were either one or the other, never both. He had to be an Earthman, a barbarian, and yet, he seemed comfortable on this world. Like he'd been there a lifetime and never desired to return to his native world.
After the few minutes of staring, Silver turned her head back to the wall and curled into it. The slavers would be coming through soon to stir up the slaves, ready for auction. If they caught her staring again, they would beat her and she'd had enough for one day. The lash stung and the pain lasted longer than any sleen bite she remembered. As expected, the slavers came in and started striking the pen bars with their whips, ensuring the maximum attention from their bounty and they got it. All except Silver. She turned further into the wall and they noticed. Taking it for fear rather than annoyance, they began to laugh at her and crack their whips just shy of her. Silver reacted instinctively, as was her nature and lashed out at he sound rather than the men creating it. This brought more laughter and one of them got just a little too close. It took only a heartbeat, but Silver had him and in seconds, he was fighting for his life. More slavers came in, desperate to save face and rescue their brother and she found herself being lashed from all directions, forcing her to let her prey go. The whips never left any marks, but they hurt for a long time nonetheless. Screaming in pain and terror, she clung to the wall and curled against it in a tight ball.
"Feral sleen!" One yelled at her, "Only good for the mines! Disgusting creature!"
"Whip her good!" Shouted another, "Make her beg!" And so they continued and every time, Silver screamed in agony. Red welts began to appear on her skin and finally, they stopped. They couldn't afford to mark her before sale. One of them came forward, just out of reach and he spat on her. "I hope they keep you alive just long enough to know what you are." He hissed, "A disobedient, dangerous sleen of the whore."
Silver understood every word he said, but she didn't respond, just curled tighter into the corner. She wanted to hurt him back, but revenge wasn't an emotion she was all that familiar with. There were many emotions that the humans showed that she didn't fathom, despite the fact she was just like them. Or at least, that was what they kept trying to beat into her.
Across the pens, the other women kept their distance from her. Even with the bars and chains between them, she frightened the more fragile females, even the hardier ones. They didn't want anything to do with her and Silver understood that more than anything.
More slavers came and went, chatting with the nobles that would be buying that day. One came across one that seemed somewhat different. "I bid you good eve, Sir." He said to Daniel, understanding that though he wore the marks of a Tarnsman, he was something much more. "What interests you? We have many good pleasure slaves, workers and homekeepers. Anything you desire.".....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel had not come to really buy a slave. He had just come to see what the market in Ar was like. He had learned that some time ago Ar had almost conqured most of city states near it. It had taken their Home Stones and placed them on a high tower in the city. But a young Tarnsman from Ko ra ba had come and stolen Ar's Home Stone and the daughter of the emperor Marcellus. It had been a brazen act but one that put Ar in desperate strates. Should its home stone be destroyed the people of Ar would be homeless, shamed and outcasts.
The got their home stone back but the other cities were freed from its rule. There was much said about the young Tarnsman, Tarl Cabot. It seemed he had played an important part in many things that happened on Gor. So it was that he had not come to buy a slave, but that did not mean he would not.
A disturbance in the pens made him look over to a group of slavers. They were taunting a slave girl. One got to close and the slave grabbed him and the others had to fight like sleen to get him away from her. This peeked his intrest and he moved over closer and heard what the slavers said to her. "Can not tame a simple slave girl?" he asked. One of them turned to Daniel a hand on his whip and a snarl on his lips. Once he saw who he faced he changed his tun. "She is a worthless she sleen. Only good for the mines.
He looked at the naked girl and raised a brow. She was diferant from the others that was for sure. Not the most beautiful but she was not ugly either. He didn't know why but he tossed the man a coin. The going rate for a mine slave. "I will take her off your hands." he said. "The keys to her shackles and a collar."
The slave snatched the coin out of the air and looked at it. He then tossed Daniel the key to her shackles. "You have bought your own death. She has killed and eaten men. She is untrainable."
"Perhaps, perhaps not." Daniel said, and approached. He held the key in his hand so she could see it. As he got up to her he said to her. "Do you wish to leave her or do you wish to stay and be whipped by the slavers. If you want to leave, there will be certain conditions."

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Once the lashing stopped, Silver had just enough time to breathe again before she heard the slavers and the stranger talking. She understood what they were saying and with a cautious eye, she watched the interaction between them. The stranger commanded respect and the slavers gave it without question. Something shiny came from his hand and was caught by the lead slaver. She knew what coins were and what they were used for. A key was then tossed to the stranger and he began to move towards her. She had been bought by him.
Moving carefully off the wall, she regarded the stranger as he regarded her, but with much more caution. Slowly, she put both hands on the floor, showing the strength and agility in them as she began to move from one side to the other. The movement gave away much of her nature. There were only two other creature on Gor that moved their limbs like that. Sleen and Larn. Her dirty blond curls dragged on the floor as she turned her back and dipped her shoulders down a little. Her backside then moved in a strange sideways step and she tucked her knees right up by her ribs, using only the balls of her feet and her toes. The slavers called her a she sleen and they were right. For all intent and purpose, this stranger had bought a feral sleen, but not just any sleen. Silver had come from the forest sleen, the most dangerous and unpredictable breed of the creature.
Ducking her head down just a little more, she looked up at him, gauging him. He was a predator like her and he was bigger, stronger and probably faster than her. That slight mark of respect flashed in her pure silver eyes. And then he produced the key to her bonds. At his side, the head slaver called for a collar to be brought, but it was doubtful it could be placed on her. The last time they tried that, she relieved the blacksmith of his hammer and then his right arm. And that had been after she had supposedly been knocked out. Now this stranger wanted her in one.
Moving her back end around again, she began to back up along the wall, going as far as her short chains would allow. She could pounce at him and grab the key, but he was out of reach and she wondered for a moment if that was deliberate on his part. More than likely. Behind them in the pens, the true slave girls began begging and pleading with the stranger not to go through with the sale. Silver was a killer, a predator without remorse or conscience. They could please him far greater than Silver ever could. But it seemed their pleas fell on deaf ears.
Moving again, but in the opposing direction this time, Silver kept her stunning eyes on the stranger. Her movement was so fluid, so easy for her, graceful and quite unique. Most girls could never even dream to move so effortlessly, even with the best training, but it came naturally to Silver. She had always moved this way. It also gave away the inner strength of her body and how she had lived. Living with sleen, she'd been raised on an almost pure protein diet, meat and marrow. It showed in the muscle around her ribs as she paced along the wall on her hands and feet and she noticed how it affected the slavers with the stranger. It gave her a unique beauty that they seemed unable to ignore. Such a pity that she was so feral. Also, this movement showed parts of her skin that had yet to be marred with dirt and grime. These small patches were flawless almost with a slight olive tan. It was the same for her hair as more of it fell over her shoulders and was dragged along the floor. The silver streaks in the blond gave it a luminescence that seemed unnatural. A true and rare beauty that once revealed, would be the envy of any free woman and the lust of any free man. One just had to be strong enough to handle getting her cleaned up.
Certain conditions. Silver heard those words and knew exactly what they meant. She had to behave, she had to be good. She would have to accept his collar. As she moved, the brand of the kajiri seemed to come alive on her thigh beneath the layers of grime. But then, just like that, she stopped, placing herself in exactly the same spot from which she had started and she tucked her knees under her arms. In effect, she had sat down. Her hands remained on the floor, but her nails dug into the stone as she considered the offer. Certain conditions.
It took a few moments, but Silver made her decision. Widening her gate, she pulled her left knee under her body and put them together to her right. Her hands moved forward over the stone and she laid down as a sleen would. Once her belly and shoulders touched the ground, she pulled her mass of tangled curls over one shoulder and put her head down to rest on it. The slavers stared in shock at this, believing she could never understand and found new respect for the Warrior. But make no mistake, one wrong move and it could cost this stranger his life.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel stood there and watched her. She acted like a Sleen but one with more intelligence. He knew the stance as he had seen it once before with a real sleen. One of the slavers nervously edged up and watched her. "It is said that she was raised by Sleen and from her record, she is as vicious as one and she eats human flesh."
Daniel raised a brow and shook his head. Why had he bought her and why had he come to the Great Slave Market of Ar. He really could not understand why he had, it was as if he had been lead there in some manner.
After a bit Silver seemed to settle down and then she did something that even the slavers were shocked to see. She laid down quietly like a trained sleen would do when not on guard or hunting. This even made Daniel take notice. Oh she was intelligent, he could see that in her eyes. More though she was cunning and he wondered if it was but a ploy. Well he decided to test her.
He slowly moved forward and squatted down beside her. "As I said there will be conditions. Otherwise it will be the mines for you and certain death after a long and painful time. You are intelligent and I think know that I am your only hope of leaving her and living." he talked low so only she could hear him. "You will wear the collar. Later if you show me that you can be trusted, I may remove it. You will not attack anyone or try to kill anyone...." he grinned. "Unless I tell you to." He wondered what she would think of that. "Next you are going to get cleaned up, take a bath and wash you hair. You may act like a Sleen, but you are human and should look like one. You will be given a slave garment to wear if I think you deserve it. Again you must prove to me that you are. I will be leaving Ar shortly and you will be going with me. You will ride infront of me on my Tarn."
"You have been bought as a pleasure slave. Though I doubt that you will like that idea, it is so. You must get use to that. You are female and I am a Male." again he grinned, "Consider me the Alpha Male." In the pack the alpha male had his choice of female sleen. They obeyed the Alpha Male. "We will see about me using you as I wish. As your master and Alpha Male, it is my right. Do you agree?" he held up the key.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver's muscles tensed and the movement rippled across her skin as her new owner came to her. He moved slowly and remained in her line of sight, so it was clear he understood how she worked now. The closer he got, the more she growled at him and the more she tensed up, but then he stopped and crouched down beside her. Her eyes never left him as he began speaking again. She listened carefully and understood what he was saying. He was laying down the rules of her ownership, what was expected of her. One comment did make her lift her head an inch and she almost cocked an eyebrow at him. She couldn't kill anyone unless he told her to. An interesting concept, if he meant it, she thought. The next lot of rules brought more growls from her. A bath and to look like the human she was. That wouldn't go down well with her. It didn't the last time they tried when she had first been brought back to this place, hence her appearance. However, one of the slavers had an idea.
The market had recently been a staging point for a pack of sleen being trained to track and hunt and the handler had yet to leave Ar. Silver acted like sleen, so perhaps a sleen handler was what was needed. He kept the idea and waited until the Tarnsman had finished speaking with his new acquisition.
Still on the ground and still growling at the new rules, Silver began to like this stranger less and less. Consider him the Alpha Male and obey him accordingly. Females obeyed their Alpha, certainly, but he had to earn it. This man had done nothing even close to it. Her eyes never left his, even when he produced the key again, teasing her with it almost. Did she agree? Did she have a choice? Since her first capture, she had learned of the salt and lava mines. Slaves went there and never returned. They were places of death and suffering and Silver didn't want to die. The stranger seemed to see that in her and it was no problem to him to use that against her. At least he had stopped speaking now, but her growling did not. The guard that had been waiting for the Tarnsman to finish, edged a little closer to propose his idea.
"Sir." He said quietly, keeping his eyes cautiously on Silver. "The market has the facilities to get her cleaned up for you and there is a sleen handler that has not yet left that could possibly help. He is highly skilled in dealing with the more feral wild ones and as she is clearly of that category, he could be useful in the matter. For the right coin of course." While he was speaking and without actually knowing it, the slaver had taken another step towards Silver. Now he was too close.
Taking this invasion as an attack, Silver's growls reached a peak and she all but roared at him to stay back. At the same time, she got up quickly from her laying position and started shuffling back. Had she the tail and fur of the sleen, she would have looked like a stiff brush! With her shoulders and body still low, she began to tense her shoulders, back and legs. Her entire body shook with the tension and the guard quickly realised his mistake, but it was too late to back off now. He would lose face if he did and he couldn't afford that kind of humiliation, not after recent events with this she sleen. Instead, he drew his blade which served only to escalate Silver's temper....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
He watched her eyes and listened to her growling. She was definately going to be a challange to tame, train, and make a pleasure slave. She did not look like any other human that was an inhapitent of Gor. He wondered if perhaps that the Priest Kings had brought people like her to Gor. He was waiting for her answer to his conditions. "Well what will it be?" he asked her.
That is when one of the slavers found the courage to come forward. This did not sit well with his new slave and she was again back up on her hands and knees growing louder. Daniel tightened his jaw and was about to admonish the slaver for disturbing him and his new slave when he offered an idea about her training. It would have been a good idea if he had bought a real sleen but Silver was not one, she was human and the training of a sleen was not what he was wanting. No she had to be trained as a human and she had to start acting like one.
When Silver really began to get angry at the slaver he began to draw his sword. Daniel was on his feet immediately and placed a hand on the slaver's. "She is my slave now and I will decide if she lives or dies and what punishment is befitting." his voice was stern, no anger, but a warning in it. If the slaver touched his slave, he had every right to kill the man. She was his slave, and no other could touch her or disipline her unless he said they could.
"She is a human, not a real sleen. She will be trained as a human. She will learn they ways of a pleasure slave." The slaver snarled and stepped back drawing his sword. "You dare." Daniel shook his head and drew his sword. The slaver attacked and Daniel parried his blow and began to beat the man back with a series of blows and thrusts that left him bleeding from several small wounds, shreading the mans clothing. He then disarmed the slaver and placed the point of his sword at the man's throat. "Yes I dare!" he said and then, "She is my slave now not yours. If you value your life you will not let me see your face again!" He then turned on his heels and went back to Silver. "He will not touch you or harm you again." he told her. "Now do you agree to the terms or not?"
Guards came running, after the fact. They questioned people on what had happened and then approached Daniel but at a safe distance from Silver. "You are the one that fought the Slaver Elan?" Daniel slowly turned and nodded. "He tried to do harm to your slave?" Again Daniel nodded. That was all that was needed to be said. He had defended his property and was within the law.
The guard then looked at Silver and shook his head. "You should buy one of the other slaves, even an untrained one. They would be better then this one. At least they are trainable."
Daniel shook his head. "No I have selected this one." he still wondered why he had. Perhaps because it was said she could not be trained and tamed. But he didn't think that was the real reason either. The guards left and again he looked down at her. "Your answer?"

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver was all but ready to forget the new rules entirely and come what may, readying her pounce and attack at the Slaver, but then suddenly and quite to her shock, her new owner stepped in! The fight that ensued saw her perk right up and she stared at her new master with wide eyes, head up, shoulders up and backside firmly planted on the ground. She watched the fight continue and cocked her head to one side. The Slaver was clearly and quickly made the lesser of the two men and it wasn't long before her master came back to her and began talking to her again. Did she accept his offer? In response, she dropped her chin and turned her eyes away to think on it. Then more men came.
Back on the defensive, Silver growled at the new men standing near her and once again, through her keen ears, her master defended once again. He was asked if he truly wanted her and that another would be far more suitable, but for some reason, he wanted to keep her. Silver found this odd and wondered just what was making him do this. She stopped her growling and regarded the men again in silence and understanding. He turned back to her yet again and she lifted her chin to look up at him. He wanted an answer.
He seemed impatient with her and as she looked at him, she began to see him a little differently. He had defended her, protected her when he had no real reason to. Was this a ploy to make her look on him as a Master and Alpha? His eyes said no, but she wasn't so sure yet. She was sure however, that she wanted out of this place and as soon as possible. This man had the key and all she had to do was behave for a while. She decided she could do that.
Pulling her knee through under her again, Silver slowly dropped her head and shoulders and put her belly to the ground again, laying down as she had done before. She exposed her neck again and turned her eyes away. The still lingering extra guards looked at her in shock and then at Daniel in the same way. Silver had never done this before, not even a hint of obedience and calm. They began to wonder just how he'd done it. Surely, he had the gift of the Priest Kings!
Nodding in respect and agreement, another guard called for the collar and once brought, he took it and held it out. "You must share your secret, Warrior." He said, keeping well out of Silver's way still. Silver lifted her eyes briefly. So his name was Warrior? What an odd name, she thought, but then, her name was just as odd. Her look was only brief before she turned her head away entirely and covered it with her hair so it wouldn't get trapped in the collar's link lock.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
He took her stance to be one of compliance. It was like an animal submitting to its master or to one over it. She was showing her vunerablity as an answer to his question. Once the collar was handed to him, he put it about her neck and snapped it shut. The slaver handed him the key to it and Danel put that in a small pouch that he tucked into his riding leathers.
He then took the keys to her shackles and undid them. then he stood and offered his hand to help her up. When one of the guards told him he should tell them his secret, he chuckled. "Less lash and more understanding." he told them. He had read about cases like hers on Earth. Children at an early age being brought up by animals and the children acting like the animals. It took time, but the children learned to be human again and be accepted into society. But they all seemed to still have that affinity with the animals that they grew up with. He bet that if he could train her to be a pleasure slave, and to be more human like, that she would make the Sleen trainers look like inept students when it came to training sleen.
Everyone had stopped what they were doing to watch and see what silver did next. He had been able to calm her, have her submit to him and allowed him to put a collar on her, that none had been able to do before. "Come, we leave for Ar Station. There is need for my type services there. It seems that Cos Station and Ar Station is at odds with each other again."

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver gave a slight jump and a growl as she felt Warrior (Daniel) touch her, but she made no move to attack or defend herself this time. She jumped again as the collar snapped shut and then it was all over, it seemed. She turned her head back to her new Master, seeing him drop the key into a tight pocket in his riding leathers. She doubted she could sneak it out of there, he seemed far too astute to fall for that. She would wait until he was asleep and take it then. After that, she made plans to run as far and as fast as she could and disappear back to her forest and her pack, if it was still there. She hadn't seen them for over ten years. She wondered if her mother would still recognise her. Silver hoped so.
While still deep in her escape plans, she suddenly felt he chains fall away from her. She was free? She looked up as he put his hand down to her and stared at it for a moment before she looked to the door. Her head snapped between the two. Could she really outrun him right now? Getting back to her hands and feet again, she began to back up slightly, her eyes still flicking between Warrior and the exit. One more step and she would be out of reach of him, or so she hoped, but he was fast. He had proven that in the fight with the Slaver. Slowly, she turned her shoulder and brought her rear around, but kept her eyes still firmly fixed on Warrior.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
He noticed the look she gave towards the exit of the slave pens and smiled. He could almost see what she was thinking and planning. "Don't even think about it. Do you know the penalty for escaped slaves?" he asked her. If she didn't know he would tell her, "Death." He stepped towards her again offering his hand to help her up. "You need to walk out of here like a normal slave. On your own two feet and not like an animal. It might be natural for you right now to be like one, but you are not. "
He wished to have her bathed and looking proper before they left. "You still need to bath, and I think that you can do that by yourself. Also can you speak? There is no need for you to growl." he looked at her with a smile. Yes indeed she was something. "Remember the conditions." he reminded her. She had submitted and it would be a matter of pride if she broke her word, well so to speak.
Again he offered her a hand to help her up, "Or is it that you like this place and want to stay?" he raised a brow at her and wondered what she thought of him. This was a very new expience for him. Though he had used slaves in the last several months, he had not owned one. It was a new expiernce and it kind of felt strange. Especially coming from Earth where women were treated quite differntly. The life on Gor changed a way a man looked at things. and he liked it. It was a barbaric world yet advanced in a number of ways and things.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver knew very well the penalty for a slave running away, she had seen it more often than she cared to over her years in servitude. It still didn't stop her at least planning it though. Then he stepped forward to her as she noticed the guards moving to block the door and when he put his hand down to her again, she jumped back quickly. She had to walk out of there like a normal person and not an animal. As far as she was concerned, men were the biggest animals going! And he continued after that, reminding her she needed a bath, asking if she could speak and reminding her again of the conditions to which he had bought her. It was all a lot to take in for her. She should have known really, but she'd been locked up against that wall now for months, since the passing hand in fact, so it was close to half a year.
Staring at his hand for a moment, Silver decided not to take it and she backed up further away from him still. Closing her eyes and turning her head away, she brought her feet forward and gracefully lifted her hands from the ground. Perfectly balanced on the balls of her feet, Silver slowly rose to stand. She shifted her balance slightly and let her heels slowly drop down and she lifted her head again. It was clear now how she could evade being grabbed hold of. She was small on the ground for a very good reason. Standing, she barely made 5ft. And yet, she seemed to fit her features perfectly. Her hair fell to her thighs and there seemed more of it now she was stood up. And more was revealed now too, including her ribs, showing that she hadn't been eating properly for some time. The slave gruel made her sick and meat was far too expensive to be wasted on a slave. Her waist was tiny and it left no doubt he could hold her there and let his fingers touch behind her. She had wide hips that were incredibly strong from the lifetime of squatting and running on her quarters. This strength showed down her thighs and to her high calves, slender ankles and her tiny feet. Further up, she had a long, but not overly, slender neck. Her rounded and pert breasts showed she had past the point of puberty, putting her in her twenties or thereabouts. There were no needle marks to say she had been given the serum, but marks like those did tend to fade over the years and age was relative on Gor anyway, so it didn't matter. As for speaking, she had a remark for that, that would floor every man within earshot of her.
Stepping towards Warrior some, Silver lifted her head to look at him. He towered a good foot at least over her, so she had no choice. "Why would I speak?" She asked him, causing many of the guards and even the slaves, spin around and stare at her. Absolute silence from the entire room. "When all you men wish to hear are screams?" She spoke with such an eloquence and grace that completely contradicted everything physical about her. And her voice sounded just like she looked. Unique, silken, smooth as ice and just as cold....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel watched as she slowly stood up with out his aid to stand there before him. He took in her looks and curves and noticed she probably had not been eating properly. Her diet had mainly been meat and he guessed he would have to feed her that along with other things to make her fill out a bit more. Well he had gotten himself a bargain if he could get her trained properly. She was definately unique with her silver eyes and the silver streaks in her hair that was all natural.
He had to chuckle at her answer when she spoke. "Not all men." he told her and noticed how everyone was looking. He just smiled and then said to her, "I am not going to hurt you." as he gently took her by the arm and lead her out of the slave pens. The area where the slaves could bath was not far down the cooriidor from the pens. He took her in and as slaves came to claim Silver for a bath, he waved them away. "She will do fine by herself." He did not want a blood bath there. He motioned to the sunken tub of hot water and the soaps and scented oils.
As he waited for her to bath, he listened to what the slaves were gosiping about. It seemed that Port Cos had been having troubles with raiders from the Sardar Mountains. They of course were blaming Ar Station. Claiming the Raiders were soldiers from Ar Station. This only made it even easier for him to seek employment at Ar Station.
"Tell me Silver, what do you know of your life before the Pack or can you remember anything of your life before that?" he asked her.It would be interesting to know where she had come from. The hair color and eyes were defiantely not normal and he wondered if there were other people like her. He could not help but stare at her naked body and have thoughts of what he would like to do with her. But that was down the road a bit.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Not all men, he said. He wouldn't hurt her, he said. She'd heard empty words like that before. Men were liars, whether they wanted to admit to it or not, especially Earthmen. Gorean men weren't so big on lying, but they saw no harm at all in deception and she had seen more than her fair share. She narrowed her eyes as he took her arm and made to step away from him, but she had to behave and do as she was told.
In the bath complex, she growled at the slaves as they came for her and it didn't take long for them to back off without being told to by him. She looked at the huge marble construction sunken into the floor and took a deep breath. Sleen weren't completely adverse to water, but they weren't big fans of it either. She wasn't a lover of them, but that was only because of the sheer number she had been forced to endure and beaten into. Still, Silver would do as she was told. She stepped down into the hot water and began washing off the months of dirt and grime.
After the first scrape with the loop to get the main layers of dirt off, Silver then took up the soap and smothered her skin with it. It smelled quite fruity for a change rather than the caustic harshness normally found. Rinsing it off with the final layers of grime, her skin felt smooth and clean now. That original pale olive colour paled still, leaving her skin with only the faintest shade of a tan. Her nails came next and she scrubbed them clean with a small stiff brush. After that, it was the mammoth task of removing the dirt from her hair. At least she wasn't full of lice, that would have seen the slavers shave it all off again. She wet it thoroughly and then started lathering the soap into it. As she did so, she heard Warrior speak to her.
The questions seemed simple enough, but she doubted he would understand the answers. "I have no memory before my pack." She said. "My first memory is sharing my mother's teat with my siblings." She smiled then, a real smile as she remembered her sleen mother. She remembered everything about her, her musky scent, the warmth and softness of her golden fur. She remembered the affection and expectation in her large black eyes and the roughness of her tongue when being cleaned and deloused. She remembered fighting and playing with her siblings between her legs and under her long belly. Silver had been a little behind in her development, but she had been two legs short, bald and tailless, and half the size. It hadn't stopped her though and she gave her siblings a good run for their play. She remembered her father then, the Alpha. He didn't like her much at first and simply snorted at her in disgust, but he accepted her eventually, especially when she discovered she could climb trees, something the much larger and heavier adults could not do.
Realising that she had drifted, Silver shook her head and ducked under the water to rinse the soap from her hair. The effort had turned the entire bath a stomach churning brown colour, but it was worth it. Silver stepped out again and took up the oils and a sharp loop. She shaved away any excess body hair from her wet skin, understanding that men preferred their slaves like that. She then took up a towel and dried herself before oiling her skin lightly to keep it smooth and supple. She dried her hair roughly before dragging her fingers through it to remove the tangles. It began to form loose ringlets as it dried. Her final task was to scrub her teeth clean.
Cleaned and groomed, Silver emerged from the bath chamber an entirely different creature. Her paler clean skin looked as smooth and soft as it felt and her hair bounced with life in a bright honey blond colour. The silver in it glimmered against the light, matching the colour of her eyes perfectly. Her now pearl white teeth seemed to sparkle from the soda crystals she'd used. "Happy?"

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel watched her as she scrapped and scrubed the dirt from her body and then washed the rest away. She even cleaned her finger nails which surprised him even more. It seemed she knew exactly what to do, even though she had not seemed to have seen a bath in a very long time. She washed her long hair and cleaned her teeth even. He had taken a seat on a marble bench and leaned back against the wall of the bath. To watch her seemed to bring out a joy with in him. Such a simple thing, but yet he enjoyed watching her.
As she emerged from the water she sat and scrapped of the excess body hair and oiled her skin. She was beautiful, in many ways. Not like some of the pleasure slaves, but she had her own beauty that he was begining to enjoy. She had told him she didn't remember anything about her past before the pack. That meant she was indeed very young when she had been lost, or abandoned, or perhaps her parents had been killed by the Sleen and the female had taken her to raise.
When she came to him and said "Happy?" he grinned and said. "You are beautiful and graceful. You look as you should be." Again he took her by the arm gently and lead her out of the bath and through the corridors of the Slave Market, and out into the city streets. "There is going to be quite the number of people, slaves and animals everywhere. Try not to growl at them, they are just going about their everyday lives." he doubted that she had been among so many people before.
As he moved them through the city and up to the upper towers where his tarn was, they saw a variety of people. There were the common people going about their daily routines, slaves running erans or with their masters or mistresses. But to there were a number of warriors in red tunics, with their shields slung over their backs and swords at their hips, the Merchant class, similar to the Slavers but different in many ways. There were the Builders, Scribes and others. As they walked along the bridges between the highest towers one could see those playing Kaissa. There were those that made a living playing the game. It resembled Chess form Earth but was quite different. There were times people bet great sums on the outcome of such games. There a few that were well noted as Kaissa Players. Their reputations for playing and winning the game was extrodianary.
Finally they made it to the top of the tower where private tarns were kept. He moved directly to his own. It was a jet black tarn. He went up to it and patted its neck and scratched up under its feathers to bring the lice from them and rubbed them on his toung. "We fly Wind Strike. We have a ways to fly and we have another to go with us." The tarn eyed Silver and ruffled its wings. "She is alright and will not harm you." he turned and gave Silver a stern look.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
As Warrior took her arm again to lead her out of the bath to the street, Silver resisted the urge to growl at him again. She had to behave. She kept reminding herself of that as she felt the warm sun hit her face. And when she saw all the people, despite his warnings of it, she just couldn't help but skitter around them as they passed, getting ever closer as they crossed the bridges of Ar. There was so much noise and business going on, she stumbled a little as she tried to look around her. She'd never been this high in Ar before. She wanted to see the ground and what was going on down there, but Warrior was heading up for his Tarn.
Now, Tarns and Sleen had never really got along in the world. When they weren't vying for the same foods, they were often hunting each other's young. Silver remembered her mother seeing off many of the giant birds that had tried to catch her on the rare occasions that they ventured into a clearing. It had been ingrained in her as an infant to fear them and stay close to her mother. That fear had carried with her, but she had learned to control it.
Finally making it to the Tarn's holding area, Silver instinctively crouched down when he let go to pet his Tarn, Wind Strike. She hissed at the bird as it ruffled its feathers at her and she began to carefully move around to its flank. She may not harm the Tarn, but that wasn't to say it could harm her! Her nervousness was spotted by some guardsman of the tower and they stared at her oddly. They had never seen a slave act that way around a Tarn before and they had never seen a slave like her before either. Her uniqueness was being noticed by the populace.
Still moving in her crouch, Silver continued to regard the Tarn with caution, ignoring Warrior for the moment. It was then that one of the guardsman recognised her owner and he came over. "Daniel!" He called, "Greetings!" He reached out and touched his left shoulder. "I see I find you well." Silver's response to this was to duck down further and back away.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel could see that all the moving through the city had an effect on Silver. It was quite evident then that she had not been among so many people and had so many smells and colors to contend with. When he talked to his Tarn he saw her crouching and moving. She was wary of the great bird but did nothing to provoke it.
Then one of the guards of the Tarn Tower recgonized him and greeted him. Daniel greeted him back. "Yes I am well and have a new aquisition." he nodded to Silver. He chuckled, "She is not your normal slave girl, so be wary of her. She has been raised by sleen and is dangerous at times."
His friend Marcus looked over at Silver and asked, "Then why did you buy her?"
Daniel rubbed his chin as he watched silver. "I really don't know. It seemed like a sudden urge came over me to do so."
Marcus looked at him. "A sudden urge? Sounds like you have been touched by the Priest Kings my friend. They have a way of doing such things. There is a reason for it, trust me."
The Priest Kings. The gods of the people of Gor. None had ever seen them that he knew of, yet they did make their presence known here and there. Especially if one tried to create firearms. They were struck dead immediately. It seemed the Priest Kings wanted to keep Gor in a constant state of Barbaric Splendor.
"Where are you off to my friend." Marcus asked.
"Ar Station. I hear there might be work there for a Tarnsman."
Marcus nodded. "Trouble there for sure. You will be well welcomed." Again he touched Daniel on the shoulder and said, "I must get back to my duties. I hope you find what you seek and the reason for buying such a slave." he then left and Daniel turned back to Slilver and his Tarn.
"Come." he told Silver as he got into the saddle of the great beast. "Do not be afraid."

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver remained exactly where she was and furrowed her brow at her master. One had called him Warrior, now this guardsman had called him Daniel. Which was it to be? She watched the two men talk and then growled lightly under her breath as they discussed her. Touched by the Priest Kings indeed! Nothing living had ever seen them, let alone be touched by them. The guardsman left and Silver's eyes went back to Daniel. Don't be afraid? Did he not realise this creature ate her siblings?! But she had to obey, at least for now. Staying low to the ground, Silver slowly crept forward and then around behind Daniel....
"Infont of me." he told her. "This way you will be strapped in when I belt the safety strap about us." he told her. He helped her around him, to sit astride the Tarn, on the saddle and before he placed the wide leather strap acrossed them he took from the saddle bags a long soft fur and placed it around Silver. It would be a bit cold up in the sky, especially with the wind flowing past them. Once they were ready he had Wind Strike move to the large opening and take flight. He pulled on the straps guiding the great bird. Seven straps to make him turn one way or the other, to move up or down. He smiled as the Tarn flew through the air and the wind rushed over them. They joy of flying, to be one with your tarn and watch the world below go by. It was thrilling.
Silver didn't like the idea at all of flying on the Tarn and she gave a small whimper as not only did he practically put her in the saddle himself, but he then slid in behind her and strapped her to the thing! The fur was a small comfort and she clasped it tightly about her and shut her eyes tight. As the tarn took off, she went rigid in the saddle and bruoght her knees up as far as the saddle allowed. She covered her head with her hands and arms and leaned back. She couldn't lean forward, the saddlehorn stopped her....
He felt her tense and try to curl up into a ball it seemed. "Flying is not so bad." he told her. "Open your eyes and look down at the world. Few have the privlage to see such a sight. You just got to get use to it." His arms were about her to help keep her from shifting to much in the saddle.
Silver shook her head and point blank refused to open her eyes. "If the Priest Kings had wanted me to fly, they would have given me wings!" She cried, trying to curl up tighter. The irony of it was really that she did have wings, just not in the literal sense. Still utterly terrified, Silver began to shift in the saddle, trying to bring her knees up higher as though to curl up and protect herself. She pulled hte fur around her tighter still, dragging it up to cover her head. The wind was biting and after not long being in a hot bath, it felt like knives on her skin....
He decended some so that the wind would be a bit warmer. He could see she was cold, even with the fur around her. Daniel Laughed when she said if the Priest Kings had meant for her to fly they would have given her wings. Such was the saying on Earth about flying in planes. "Ah my little she sleen is afraid to look. I thought you feared nothing."
Silver growled loudly against Daniel as he taunted her about being scared. "I'm not made to fly!" She yelled at him, "It's not natural!".....
He passed over a herd of wild Tharlarion. They began to run as they saw the Tarn in the sky. "You are missing much. It is a sight to see from up here."
Silver shuddered and shook her head under the fur, "I don't care!" She yelled. Just then, the wind blew open the furs around her and she had to open her eyes. What a sight it was! Despite her fear, she opened the fur a little further and began to stare out at the ground whizzing below and the herd of Tharlarion being scattered. She dropped her knees a little and leaned forward to have a better look. This shifted her further back in the saddle against Daniel....
In the distance he could see another heard of animals, Tabuk, the antelope type creatures with a single horn. He banked and then decended even more making this herd scatter as well. He laughed as he pulled up and flew on. He felt her press more against him and he liked the feeling. He could see her now looking, and laughed again. "You see, quite the sight and quite thrilling." The hours passed and before dusk, they were approaching Ar Station. Several Tarns rose up into the air and flew towards them. The watch, he guessed. Any approaching would be challanged. They flew close to him and circled. One called out, "What is your business here?"
"I have come seeking employment as a Tarnsman. I have heard that you are having trouble with Port Cos and that you might be in need of good men."
The man, evidently a Tarnsman and a warrior like Daniel cirlced him again and nodded. "Follow us in." he told Daniel and lead him to Ar Station and the Tarn encluser there. Once on the ground he was surrounded by guards. Still suspicious of him as they should be. He could be a spy for Port Cos, but he had a letter from Ar that would introduce him to the Commander of the Tarnsmen at Ar Station. This he produced and handed it down to one of the guards who read it and handed it to what Daniel would assume was his superior. This one read the letter and looked at Daniel. He then smiled and said, "Welcome to Ar Station. If you are looking for work you will find it here. Come and let us talk."
Silver still didn't enjoy the flight, but it was definitely a sight from the Tarn's back. Not soon enough, she spotted more coming at them and they were led into Ar Station and surrounded. She eyed them all cautiously and pulled the fur about her tightly. Warriors and Tarnsmen at he station had veracious appetites for slaves, she had seen them being bought by the dozen to keep the men happy. She didnt' fancy being pawed over by them, nor anyone. Staying exactly where she was on the Tarn's back, she shuffled back a little further and brought her knees up proper tihs time. She didn't want to be here.....
Undoing the safety strap he slid from the saddle and reached up and picked Sliver up physically and placed her feet on the ground. "Stay close to me and they will not harm you." he told her. "Remember you are my slave and no one can touch you unless I say so. Now come with me. I must talk to the Commander there and see about quarters for us."
There it was again, that touch, but this time, far more intimate than before. Like she was nothing, he literally picked her up and plucked her from the saddle of the Tarn. Screeching in fright, she shuddered in his grasp. No-one would touch her, no-one would harm her. There it was again, that empty promise. "I don't want to go anywhere with you!" She yelped, "I want to go home!"....
Home. Now that was probably not possible even if she were to escape. Who knows where the pack was and if they were even alive. He looked at her and smiled. The men about them looked at her and then him. He had to explain to them about where she had come from and how she acted. "She can be dangerous, so I would not get to close to her or act like you mean her harm. She had killed before and could again, and I do not want to lose her."
"Then why did you buy her?" one asked. Again he was asked and he had no real good answer. "I am not sure." he said. "But I find her pleasing to the eye and think she can be trained." He took her by the arm this time and looked down at her. "Come with me, when we are alone we will talk." Again he guided her along and into AR Station. It was not a city like Ar but it was large and thriving. It was a river port and had lots of trade coming and going. From the Tarn Enclosure they passed a place where wild Sleen were being trained. There was one particular one, a female that was quite the fighter and mean. He looked at Silver as they began to pass the pen.
Silver growled as he took her arm, "You Barbarians find anythign pleasing!" She snapped, but all too soon, she was being dragged into the port town. Not far from the Tarn enclosure, she caught a familiar scent and when she turned, she saw a female sleen in a cage. A man was trying to train her, but she was fighting back. Silver instinctively growled at the cruel man and with a quick twist of her arm, she broke free of Daniel. Shedding the fur, she got to her hands and feet and ran for the cage and the man in it. The female sleen made to attack the bars until she roared at her. She began to calm and Silver reached into the cage. The handler, embarrassed and quite frightened for the property he thought was about to be eaten, lashed his whip at Silver, but instead of retreating this time, she clawed through the bars at him.....
Daniel turned quickly and ran after her, as the man lashed his whip at Silver, he caught it and pulled the whip from the man's hand. He gave the man a very stern look "Silver! Stop!" he commanded. He looked at the female Sleen and how calm it had become at a growl from Silver's throat. "Or do you wish this sleen to be destroyed. Your actions might have that action taken."
Silver reached back through the bars and took firm hold of the sleen around the head. She then pressed her own head against the bars, pulling the sleen's to meet her. She growled and purred, causing the sleen to do exactly the same. Silver's heart could have soared with the Tarn she'd just ridden on, but then Daniel made a threat that she wouldn't tolerate. "Harm her and I'll rip you apart." She said, her eyes ice cold at Daniel. She then turned her attention back to the purring sleen. After a moment, Silver discovered she could get her head through the bars. If she could get her head though, she could get her body through and so she made the attempt. The sleen began to back up, pulling her through and her front paws came around, grasping Silver tightly. Behind them, the handler glared at Daniel and snapped his arm back to retrieve the end of his whip.....
Daniel watched in awe as Silver seemed to have a bond with the female Sleen. Then he realized that this particular Sleen might be one that was particularly closeto her. As the two rubbed against each other purring and growling softly at each other the trainers were shocked and awed as well. The female sleen had been nothing but trouble and was untrainable it seemed. But here was a female slave cuddling up to it and the sleen doing the same. "It is no I that would harm her." he told Silver. "But these men that have captured her." he then turned to the trainer. "How much for this sleen?"
The man with the whip was stunned by his question. He had to aske him a second time before the man ansered. "A silver. It is impossible to train." his voice waned a bit as he said that as he watched Silver and the female sleen." Daniel took out a silver piece and tossed it to the man and then a second. "See to it that she is not harmed and not bothered. Feed her well and I will pay for the food she eats."
Once again, it seemed Daniel had come to Silver's rescue. He paid for the female sleen, her mother and ordered the handler to keep her well fed and unassailed. She wondered if perhaps Daniel wasn't as bad as she imagined him. And perhaps his promises might actually mean something. That was unless this was a ploy to get her to trust him more and obey him. Still in the cage, Silver cuddled up with her mother and began to pur as the female groomed her to regain the bond. It had been more than a decade, but the memory was still there. People passing stopped and stared openly at the pair as Silver openly turned over and spread herself wide on her back. The female sleen then stood over her and began licking all over. Silver began to laugh and bat at her mother as though she were simply a young sleen. The handler, looking at the coins and then looking at Daniel, pocketted them and nodded, "You can have the sleen by all means, Sir." he then pointed his whip at Silver, "How much for her?".....
"She is not for sale." he told the man. He would have won his bet back at the Slave Pens. Especially if they saw what he was seeing now. "Do you wish to stay here for a bit?" he asked Sliver. "You can but when I come for you, you will have to come with me."
The handler sneered some at Daniel at being refused this rare beauty. Still cuddled up with her mother, Silver nodded absently, not really hearing what he was telling her. However, the handler did smile some at that. Daniel was leaving her there with the female sleen, alone. It wouldn't be stealing if he was done with her before her master returned. He grinned and backed up to watch and wait, keeping his eyes carefully on the sleen and the she sleen.....
Daniel was no fool and he could see in the mans eyes his desire for Silver. "She will kill and eat you before you could lay a finger on her." he told the man. "She was raised by sleen and will do it." before he turned to go with the Commander, he told Slilver, "Protect yourself, from any that would try to harm you or use you." He made sure the trainer and the Commander heard his command. The commander looked at him a bit confused. "I will explain on the way he told the Commander. Again he had to explain about Silver, and that he had given her permission to protect herself, there fore any that tried to touch her, harm her or use her, and she killed them, he had given her permission to do so and therefore would not be punished by the law for doing so.
Silver was still in blissful ignorance, so engrossed in grooming and bonding with her lost mother and it showed. She had become a whelp again, but it didn't matter. The sleen would protect her, her child for all want and purpose. The handler backed off, but he glared at Daniel and then at the commander for agreeing with the Tarnsman. He'd never heard of a mere slave being allowed to do anything like that. Slaves were for use and by the look of her, there could be plenty of use to be had. Still, the order had been given witness and it would be a matter of honour if he broke it. And so, he stood back to glare at Silver playing with the sleen. Many more people began to gather and some seemed calmed by the scene before them....
The Commander took Daniel to the Barracks and his office. There was other offices in the large building, including the Commander of the ground troops. Once in the office the Commander poured some wine for the two of them. "Where do you hale from?" he asked Daniel.
"I have no home sir." he stated.
He looked at Daniel with a questioning look. "You have no city to claim you? No Home Stone."
Daniel knew most of the Warrior cast and other casts knew of earth and that people were brought to Gor. "I am from Earth and have but been on Gor less then a year. I became a Tarnsman in Ar, learning to fly with my Tarn, but I have no alligence to Ar or any other city.
"Well then you will find a home here." he told Daniel. He pulled some papers from a drawer and placed them on the table. Make your mark or sign it if you can write. It is a contract that outlines your duties here, your pay and of course the rules and such."
Daniel quickly skimmed over the contract. He would of course read the rules and the laws of the land. He had also learned to read and write the goran language, which many never learned. The Commander also handed him a piece of paper with an address on it. It was to a place near the Barracks that also housed many of the Tarnsmen.
"It is clean and afordable and you get good food there as well." The commander told him. After a bit more talking, Daniel was released and he went back to collect Silver. She was still playing with the female Sleen. "Time to go for now Silver he called to her.
Silver was still very much lost in the cage with her mother and had curled up with her and fallen asleep. How she had missed that. She snuggled into the fur and let herself drift away into happy memories. It was only when she heard Daniel's voice again, that she opened her eyes and peered out from under her mother's front paw. It was time to go. Silver didn't want to and shook her head at him. "I want to stay." She said brazen, "And if you try and take me, she'll kill you and any that help you.".....
Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daneil shook his head. "Come. You can return later. She will be well cared for and she will not be harmed by any here since I now own her. If she could be trusted among the people here, was trained not to attack people just because they got close, she might have been able to come with us. But I don't think she would like me being that close as well. Now come, it is time to get something to eat and to sleep. it has been a long day."
The trainers were still amazed at how she had calmed the sleen and was actually playing with it. They did not know of her past and that the creature in the cage had raised her. He hoped the mention of food would be enough to encourage her to come out of the cage. He approached the cage closer and the female sleen growled at him. He looked into the eyes of the female sleen. He did not take his eyes from hers and soon enough she turned her head letting out a low growl.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver had one simple answer for Daniel and she knew he wouldn't like it one single bit. "No." She said firmly, "I am not your pet." Shocked onlookers stared at both Silver and Daniel and of course, when the female sleen seemed to back the slave up, well, that got the tongues wagging faster and stronger than any simple disobedient slave!
But then something changed. Daniel got right up close to the cage and stared out the female sleen. She growled at him, as did Silver, but then the sleen turned her head away and down and Silver looked at her with sorrow. He had shown himself dominant over her and over Silver. Getting to her feet and robbing Silver of her warmth, she growled and turned away. Silver whimpered and made to follow her, but the sleen pushed her away with her rear foot. Silver remembered the last time that happened. The Alpha wanted her and she had to hand the whelp over lest anything bad happen to her.
Sitting up, Silver cried at her mother, but the sleen moved across the cage and sat down again, her head down and she began licking her paws. Silver snapped her head to Daniel and glared at him. "How dare you!" She yelled, "How dare you make her give me up! Do you have any idea how long I've waited for this moment? Do you? You selfish, arrogant, bastard!" Now, Silver knew that calling any man such a name could end very badly, especially on Gor, but it was the only way she could show him......

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel listened to her rant and just shook his head. He had stared down the sleen and that was something that most of the trainers could not do. But this sleen seemed more intelligent then others he had seen or heard about. The way he had shown no fear and stared the creature down, had shown he was the domenant one.
It even amazed the trainers and other warriors there that had gathered around hearing about the sleen and the female slave. What Daniel had done had not been done before and people were whispering again about him and his slave. "Come." he ordered Silver and then looked over at the she sleen. "You to, if you can behave among the humans." The she sleen picked up its head and looked at Daniel intently then rose to its feet and slowly moved up beside Silver, lowering its head.
Again he looked at Silver and said, "Come. She can come also as long as she behaves." The warriors and trainers moved back as the she sleen squeezed through the opening that Silver had made and looked around growling low in its throat at the others. "Is he insane?" a few people called out. "That is a wild sleen." Daniel just grinned as he waited for Silver.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver growled in her throat and made to protest again and call him more names, but it seemed clear then that such insults either didn't register with him, or he simply didn't care. Any Gorean man would have beaten her to death for saying such things and in public of all places! She wondered just what was wrong with him. And then, to top that, he offered the female sleen the chance to come with them! Silver was utterly floored now. "You'd really let her come with us?" She asked, getting to her quarters again. "Truly?"
It seemed he did and it didn't take long for the female to squeeze herself through the bars, though with a lot more difficulty than Silver had done. Once out though, she didn't attack and simply waited for Silver to join her. She gave a sharp gruff and then a growl. Silver didn't hesitate, knowing to move her keester as quick as possible. Slipping through the bars, she sidled quickly up to her mother and nuzzled her again. The sleen licked her back and the growled at her again. Silver nuzzled her once more and then started walking, back on her hands and feet with her mother close behind.
Silver did stop briefly as she heard the remarks of the people present and growled at them. "We are not dumb animals." She said to them with careful measure. "We are just as intelligent and logical as you are, we just choose not to advertise it like you do." She then flicked her hair back and stuck her chin in the air to walk proudly beside her mother. Where they were going would be up to Daniel. Letting her mother free and letting her stay with Silver had earned him what trust she had for the human race.
In happiness, she began to bounce a little in her step and become a little playful again with her mother. The sleen snapped her jaws at Silver, but without any malice, then swiped at her with her huge front paws. Silver dodged easily, showing some serious skill and agility. She was happy again and for the first time, as she turned to bounce in front of her mother again, she offered Daniel a real smile, teeth and all.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel chuckled knowing the punishment for what she had called him. But she was a slave and an untrained one at that. There was some lienency in that. Had she been a trained slave, she would have been severily beaten if not killed. She also acted like a wild animal which also accorded her a bit of protection from the punishment as well. Had it been a warrior or free person, he would have the right to challange that person and kill him.
"Silver! Walk upright and at the side of her. There will be time enough for play later on." He walked beside the beast and she did nothing but growl a little, and sniff at him, getting his scent. Now that was a sight indeed as they walked through the training area. People moved back giving them room. The one trainer looked at Daniel, his jaw dropping. He had been trying to train the she sleen for two weeks and had no luck breaking her. But in a matter of minutes Daniel had her under his control.
He just grinned and as they walked he said to the she sleen, "You know you must teach her some better manners." he chuckled and looked over at Silver. As they walked down the streets to the address, people moved out of their way. The she sleen was not on a leash and had no collar either, but was walking beside Daniel.
The owner of the place he was to stay at was taken aback by the sight of the sleen. Daniel moved forward and handed him the letter from the commander and he could see the hesitation in the mans eyes, but he finally nodded. "I think the small house across the street will be best. It will not frighten the other tenents, to have her about." He was handed a key and he paid the rent up front for the first month and took Silver and the she sleen to the house.

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Silver larked about for a good while before she heard Daniel's voice grow sharp at her. He wanted her to walk like a human again. With a huff of annoyance, she lifted up and started walking on just her legs again. She glared at him for ruining her larking with her mother, but she understood that people were staring enough and her obedience meant she acted like a proper human. Taking a deep breath and sighing it out, she walked alongside the sleen, but put her hand into the thick mane fur. Her little piece of lingering defiance on the matter.
Their 'stroll' through Ar Station caused quite the gossip and Silver could hear people talking as they were given a wide birth and once at the house, even the owner was blown over by them. Unleashed, uncollared and acting like the family pet! News of this would run rampant in the port. Daniel was given a house that seemed separated from the rest and with good reason, and Silver happily bounced back out again on the balls of her feet.
The house wasn't a large one, Silver had been in bigger, but it was comfortable and there was a large open fire in the kitchen where she and her mother could sleep in comfort. On that thought, the sleen wandered over and planted herself quite neatly on the large hearth rug there. Silver laughed and joined her. Getting back down on her quarters, she brazenly stuck her backside in the air and slithered back under the sleen. Home.....

Re: A Warrior of Gor (reserved for LadyBird Raven)
Daniel had been paid by his slaver friend quite well. He had nothing really to buy, even the pleasure slaves were free, while he was with the slaver. He had saved the money he had earned and it would last awhile but not forever. The job as a Tarnsman for Ar Station would earn him a good wage and he would be able to live comfortably. The place had no food so he crossed over the street to have the owner send a slave out to purchase what he was going to need for the next couple of days. Normally a slave would go daily to the market to do their master's bidding. They would carry the money in a pouch about their necks, as they were not allowed to buy anything or handle money.
A short time later a knock at the door came and the slave had brought what Daniel had ordered and any money left over was about his neck. Taking the supplies he went to the kitchen and looked at Silver and the She Sleen. A bit before he had built a fire in the hearth and had it going nice and hot. He had no other slave to do what had to be done and he doubted that any would want to be near Silver and the She Sleen, and a warrior at times had to cook for himself. So it was not something he was not use to.
Soon he had a stew going that would make a good meal. Silver needed meat and some other things to help her put some meat on her bones, so to speak. When it was done he took the pot off the fire and onto a heavy wooden table and served up two bowls full. "No eating raw meat for you." he told Silver, you must learn to eat cooked food." For the She Sleen he had a good chunk of raw meat. He put that on a metal plate and carefully sat it before her. He then placed one bowl of stew by Silver with a chunk of bread and he took the other and sat down on the floor by the two of them and began eating.
