It was only a hour or so before the civilians hit the shore. Lith talked with them and showed no threat and helped the people move back into their homes, few needed to be tended to. She wondered what the others were up to.

Mera laughed as some of the shifters started to turn green on the water, she took a deep breath taking in the salt life she was once used to. "How much longer?" she asked.
"We are here... We must swim, it's only hundred meters or so but we can't risk them seeing the boat. Their are shifters all around the outside once we pass them half go through and take the left guards and let out people then bring them back to the shore, the other half take out the right and follow me to Clemenso" Ezio said looking into the eyes of all the men and Mera knowing they all had something to lose. He looked at Daniel "Your on the left side mate. You have a family to return to" he said putting a hand on his shoulder.

Daniel looked to Ezio... he did have someone waiting for him... but he knew that he would be a valuable fighter for their side against Clemenso... and he wanted to get even with the man that tried to ruin his home... but... revenge would blind him... make him forget about the one that he loved... the children that she carried... no... he wouldn't forget. He was doing this for them. Daniel looked about at all the men that were fighting, then to Ezio once more. "If you don't mind... I think you are going to need all the help you can get against Clemenso..." he said. "I am a good fighter... let me help you fight this one." he said.

Ezio looked to Daniel then to Mera "I know we will but Mera is leading the attack on the right, the men are under her command there... ask her but I think it's best if you stay to the left... Mera... she seems to be on a suicide mission almost, determined to take the man down herself you know?" he said looking at Mera with a slightly worried expression on his face.

Daniel nodded... understanding. "Alright... I'll take the left then..." he said. He looked to Mera... she had a death wish... she was going to take down that man even if it cost her life. "Mera... you know... you do have something to live for... someone waiting for you." he said. "Don't get yourself hurt out there... I don't want to bring bad news back to our new home." he said to her.

Mera looked across at Daniel. "I have to take him down..." she said focusing on her mission "that's something to lie for" she said nodding to the others before jumping into the water. Mera couldn't afford to think of Markus as she set out to kill, if she made a mistake it could hold heavy consequences.

Daniel looked to her, the hate in her heart. It saddened him... he then started on what he was tasked to do... he had to help the people... get back and see Lith... wondering what she was up to... what was on her mind. Daniel steeled his mind... he couldn't think about that right now... how worried she would be... it would distract him then she would have a dead body to worry about. He jumped into the water... going off on his task of getting the people to the boats.

Mera arrived on the shore and changed to take down the chained shifters, mindless beasts. The plan was smooth so far, they had made it in, all ready they could hear the cries of the people as they thrust their arms through the cages to reach out to the shifters. "Daniel get them out" Ezio said following Mera "Don't do anything stupid" he said moving off to help Daniel as Mera ran off.

Daniel nodded... though he was still worried... he decided that he would help Mera once he finished with freeing the people... Just watch and only step in if she needed help... if the other group needed him, he would be there. He got to work, freeing the people, seeing their hands shooting out between the bars. He busted the locks, keeping an eye out for trouble.

Mera twisted and turned down corridors following a voice. She found two heavy gold doors and pushed them open with soft hands. In a chair at the end of the room sat a plump man with a thick cloud of smoke. "Mr. Clemenso?" she asked shaking her hips as she walked to him.

Daniel smiled watching as the people started to run free... he was about to finish the last one when he felt something hit him in the head from behind. His vision spun about and then he felt his vision fade a moment... he started to black out... it was as if time was frozen... he thought what would happen if he failed right now... his pups, their children... they wouldn't have a father... Lith... she would be alone... sad... grieving over his loss... the people... no freedom... no... it wasn't going to end like this... not for him. He felt an adrenalin surge... his vision cleared and he turned to see one of the wild wolves... waiting for him... it was like an odd hybrid... standing on it's hind legs... lethally strong with long claws and a wolfish muzzle... Daniel smirked... one hit from it's heavy arms almost put him down for good... the people were cowering in their cages now afraid to come out, the two wolves started circling each other... Daniel still in his human form... the one he was more accustomed to... one of them wasn't going to leave this fight alive...

Clemenso slumped in his chair as blood trickled from his neck. Someone or something had beaten her to him. She spun and ran out for Daniel and the others "We leave now" she shouted "Fast" she yelled herding the people out into the water to get to the boat.

The hybrid closed in on him, swinging a powerful punch to his face but Daniel ducked it and used his own strength against him, the momentum used in the punch was enough to throw him to the ground with. However it wasn't long before it was back up, Daniel threw a heavy punch, using the strength of a pure wolf, it landed but didn't seem to faze his adversary... Daniel moved, he had to change tactics... he needed to get the people safe at least... "Run! I will distract this beast..." he said. He could tell by looking that this creature was working on instinct alone... no logic. The people started running, making their way to the rest as Daniel fought.

Mera looked around the panic of people in search for Daniel. She counted the shifters around her and put Ezio n charge of the people "Get them back and tell The shifters we are on our way" she said "Shifters... We hunt as a pack" she yelled changing "We protect our Alpha" she said leaping in to help Daniel.

Daniel watched as the others started running towards him... however that small moment of detraction gave the beast the opening it needed, it moved forward and Daniel was too slow to move out of the way. It slashed across his chest, tearing his flesh a bit, cutting open his shirt... He yelled in pain... the cuts were deep, but not fatal... he fought back as his pack joined him. "We fight as a pack... we live as a pack..." he said to himself... knowing he could count on them. He seemed to fight harder now, the beast was more distracted, trying to watch all of them. His attacks seemed to actually do something now.

Mera moved under the beats nipping at its ankles as another nipped at its neck and clawed at its back. It took several minutes to take the beats down and several bows to all the members, Mera's head was bleeding from a cut above her left eye. "Lets...Go...Home" she panted "Lith will be worried" she said.

Daniel looked to her, Mera... how she said Lith's name... Daniel nodded. "Right. I know... she will be... like Markus will be for you." he said. He thought... Lith... she would be mad at him... while the bruises would heal, the cuts on his chest would most likely scar a bit... He sighed... at least he was alive... she couldn't be too mad at him. He smiled a bit. Glad that she had not come. Daniel walked back to the boats... the mission seemed to be a success...

She looked down when he mentioned Markus. "Yeah we should go" she said limping a little back to the boats. She had yet to see and feel all her bruises but she knew she would at some point. She lay back with her eyes closed as the last shifters headed back to the island.

Lith looked up seeing the first boat "Markus look... Where's... Dan... Mer...." she started to worry.

Daniel sat down on the boat as well... resting... he was still bleeding a bit... but not bad enough to warrant him to worry too much. With a little sigh he closed his eyes and thought of Lith... knowing it wouldn't be much longer until he would see her.

As the boats started to pull in, his eyes opened. He stood up with a little trouble and waved to the ones that he seen... he reached a hand down to help Mera up... all while keeping a lookout for Lith.

Mera let her body heal as they rolled into shore. She opened her eyes and took Daniel's hand to stand up as they left the boat. She got up and limped to where the rest of the people where, where Markus and Lith was.

Daniel got up from the boat... his body almost healed once more... but there was not a slight scar on his chest. He moved forward... looking for Lith... his eyes searching frantically until he spotted her. He moved as fast as he could towards her. He wrapped his arms around her. "Told you that I would be alright..." he said.

Markus watched the boat come in... hoping that he would spot them... Suddenly he seen them stand, Mera and Daniel... a broad smile went across his face. Seeing Mera limp towards them he moved towards her and smiled. "I... was so worried... what... what happened?" he asked her.

Lith smiled and ran towards Daniel as she spotted him "Oh my love" she said taking him into her arms. She kissed him deeply and grabbed his hands to place them on her belly "They've been kicking like mad without you..." she said with a weak smile.

Mera kept her head low to hide the blood on her face "Someone or something beat me to Clemenso... We had to fight a hybrid and yeah..." she said sitting down again. "You mind having a look at my head?" she asked looking up at him "I think it needs stitches" she smiled weakly.

Daniel smiled weakly at her, feeling the little bumps. He rubbed her belly a moment before kneeling down. Talking to his children. "Did you miss Daddy?" he said. "Mommy was strong... don't make things too hard for her ok..." he said before kissing Lith's now growing belly. Daniel stood up and looked to her. "It... went well..." he said. "I got hurt a little... but I'm alright now." he said.

Markus looked to her... He placed a hand on her head and brushed her hair gently aside. Seeing the gash, he nodded. "Yes... you do... come with me." he said. "I have a little station set up now. Something I worked on when you were gone." he said.

She smiled down at him "Hmm that's better. They like your voice" she said with a smile. She was slightly concerned "Let me see Daniel".

She got up and followed Markus to his station. "Is this where you used to work... Before things...." she said stopping herself.

Daniel nodded. He looked down, moving his shirt slightly. The wounds had healed fully, but the scars were indeed present on his chest, three large cuts. "I... I got careless..." he said. "I wasn't paying attention for just a moment and... that happened." he said. "Luckily... I'm fine... I healed quick enough..." he said.

Markus looked to her. "Yes... but... I have it set up a bit differently... last time it wasn't this organized..." he said trying to laugh a bit. He got out his tools... ready to work on her... fix her wound a bit. "Luckily it wasn't too bad..." he said. His back turned to her. "I... was worried about you..." he said.

She ran a hand over the scars "Careful they don't stretch when you change my love" she said.

She looked around a little then sat down ready for him to stitch her up. She smiled a little "Just a few stitches and I'll be ok" she said. "You were?" she asked getting up to stand behind him, she put a hand on his shoulder "I'm ok".
