Being part vampire, she was never going to have the family that she's always dreamed of. One boy, one baby girl, white picket fence, a house for the family with her soulmate...

After all the thinking that she had done about her wish every night, she still came down to this one wish. Riley looked Clause straight in the eyes, and said to him, "I wish to be fertile." her words were filled with nothing but honesty, and her eyes told just how much she wanted to be a mother. There had never been restrictions in what she could wish for, so she only assumed that this was okay. Wishful thinking, it's often called... perhaps fate was finally making up for all the bullshit she had to put up with all these years... even after being drugged (without her knowledge) to become fertile, the drugs had taken a nasty twist on her DNA. However, in the end, her vampire genes became stronger and made her back into the infertile hybrid that she was. Even now, it felt like an eternity before the wish would come true.

Clause nodded. Her wish surprised him... but... he had to admit, it was a good wish. He moved forward... placing a hand on her belly, over her womb, he focused... "After this... I won't have the energy to take you home right away..." he said. "A... a short nap though... I should have just enough..." he said, not wanting to just take her energy...

His hand glowed... she would feel an odd tingle... but it would work... "There you go... remember this next time you get all snuggely with a man... you can have a child now..." he said... he looked about ready to pass out. He was testing his limits with this...

I can have a child now... Those words kept repeating in her thoughts, over and over again as her sudden amount of happiness just about blew her head off. "You just made me the happiest girl alive, Clause. So long as you get me back before you get to be happy, then it's all good." Riley told him, referring his happiness to his soon to be freedom, or as most would call it... death. She couldn't help but have a huge smile painted on her face now. She sat down against a tree and started to rub her belly. It felt different... but... she knew that it was a good change. Definately a good change.

Clause smiled. "I would get you back sooner... but... I need energy..." he said. "And... as you asked before... you can stay awake this time... I'm positive that you are strong enough... to go through it." he said. He thought about what would happen. It wasn't like he wanted to die... but that was the way it would go... he was just ready to be rid of his cruel master at any cost... he was mortal now... he could die just like anyone else... He sat down on the opposite side of the tree. "Just a short nap... then I'll be ready..." he said closing his eyes. his wings wrapping around himself...

She couldn't wait to tell her brother. Mostly, she wanted to send Varok to death, but he was nowhere to be seen... from where she sat, anyway. She couldn't sense Varok like she could sense Clause. It was probably just one of those psychological things where she actually had to think nicely of the creature before she could feel its energy. Which was weird, because prior to entering this world, she could sense anybody's location within a ten meter radius if she wanted to. Either way, she couldn't wait to get back home so she could tell her brother everything that she was put through... everything that happened... her wish coming true...

It was definately an uplifter to know that she could do all that, and get the reward for it. While Clause rested, Riley just sat against the tree, staring off into space, just imagining the family that she could have. How happy her brother would be too. She couldn't keep track of time as she got lost in her thoughts. She was still trying to believe that she could actually get pregnant now.

That short nap went a bit longer than he had first thought... about 4 hours, giving him 20 hours left. He snapped awake... realizing that he would need to get her back... if he was to fade away before he took her back, she would be trapped... "Alright... come on... lets get you home... I imagine that you have some people wondering where you disappeared to..." he said with a little smile. "I'm going to have to carry you... and... well... you might not want to look down..." he said.

Riley was shocked when she noticed it had been four hours already. It certainly didn't feel that way, but that didn't change anything. "Don't look down?!" she raised an eyebrow, now very curious about how this going between worlds thing actually worked. She stood back up, straightening out her clothing, remembering that she had changed clothes since she arrived here. It wasn't that she cared about showing off her body or not, she was just curious. "Will this clothing still remain? These were created from magic in the room that I had, so would these survive going to my realm?" of course, her dress had lasted just fine coming here, but her dress was not made from magic. She just wanted to be sure.

Clause shook his head. "Sorry, but no... anything created by magic in this realm must stay in this realm..." he said. "I... would say we could go and get your old clothes... but..." he pointed back to the rubble that was the castle. "It's... well... I need to get a flying start... I need a certain speed..." he said. "Then I tear open a door between realms... that takes quite a bit of energy... but... we will arrive back in your world... near your home." he said. Clause laughed lightly. "You know, I wouldn't worry about showing off your body. I doubt anyone would complain." he said with a smile.

Riley smiled, knowing she wouldn't have a problem with walking around nude. It wouldn't be like it was the first time it's happened. "Nah, it'll give the guys a good show." she laughed, stepping closer to Clause. "Let's get this over with, then. I don't want to allow you too much time holding a naked girl in your arms." she said, removing the sweater that she had on, and tossing it to the ground. "It would have been nice if you warned me about that... but, you know... I won't complain either." she laughed again, admitting that she enjoyed the feeling of being in her birthday suit. It was more comfortable.

Clause wasn't able to move his eyes from her body when she removed her clothes... he didn't expect that... that she would strip down right there. He figured she would just wait until her clothes just vanished... but... she had a beautiful body... "R-right..." he said, his face went red slightly. He moved over and picked her up. "Just remember, I know you are afraid of heights... but I'll be right here, you aren't going to fall... I got you..." he said. Clause jumped, holding her, his wings started beating faster... "I'm glad I met you..." he said as he flew up. "I'm glad I met someone like you... someone with a strong will, someone who was fun to be with." he said. "You made me happier than I had been in years..." he said still acceding. Suddenly he started diving waiting for that speed that he would need to carry him over to another realm...

Strange thing was, she wasn't so worried about him dropping her... but rather what the humans would do if any of them saw the two come out of nowhere. A naked lady in the arms of some guy with wings... yeah... have fun coming up with an explanation for that. Riley kept her eyes on the path ahead, making sure that she didn't look down. It was damn well cold at the moment, but she tried not to think of that. She was about to experience what it's like to jump between worlds... or rather, fly between realms. No matter how she looked at it, she still found it pretty neat. She looked at him briefly to make sure he heard her words over the wind, "I'm glad I met you too. You've really changed my life." she told him, referring to the way to figure things out, and letting her wish come true.

Suddenly he focused ahead of them, he held her close, as he tore open the portal, suddenly they were flying through an odd place... it was dark... but it had an odd energy. Many lights could be seen in the distance. "Those are other worlds... other realms... it takes a lot of energy to fly through here..." he said. Most people who see this become paralyzed with fear... the energy here was so foreboding... some would even die from it... unless they were unconscious...but he knew she was strong enough... "Here we are... this is your stop..." he said, as they flew closer and closer to her portal.

She could no doubt feel the odd energy surrounding them. She felt like curling up in a little ball and dying because of this portal. It was odd enough, considering how happy she'd been just moments before. "What kinds of worlds?" she asked, watching as the other portals passed by, and noticing the lack of ground in this place. Tears of fear made her stop breathing momentarily, and her grip tightened on Clause's clothing. She knew that she'd be fine as soon as they passed through the portal again. Being home with her brother was what she needed most. She took deep breaths now, feeling the dreadful energy get to her.

"All Kinds... and I can go to any location in these worlds... different realms, ruled completely by demons... to worlds that hold no life... any place... I can go..." he said. "but... the further I go... I use up more energy... this is just a simple jump..." he said. He felt her feeling the fear of this place. He held her closer, hoping to help her a bit. "Here we go... you should be feeling better in no time..." he said. Jumping through back into her world... looking down, he slowed his fall... he looked to her... "Here we go..." he said slowly falling to earth. "That's why I put you to sleep the first time... some people can't take going through there..." he said.

As soon as they went through the portal to earth, she felt a lot better. Somehow, the odd energy still stuck with her, but she figured that she'd be fine. She just needed to get to her brother. Once they stopped on the ground, Riley moved so that Clause would put her down. "Thank you." she nodded to him, pretending to curtsy. Luckily, it was only her brother outside at the moment. He was just pulling into the parking lot of their apartment. "Rhoan!!!!!" she yelled at the top of her lungs, but knew that he could sense her nearby. He would not go inside just yet anyway.

"Clause..." she turned to face him, almost feeling bad that his life was being taken by some silly rule in his realm. She didn't know what to say to him. He'd helped her get through the tests so that the madness for power would end... but could one success really destroy all the other demons that did the same thing? Some of the things, she'd never understand, and it would have to be left that way. This man had become a friend, and he would surely die in less than twenty hours now. She had no idea what to say.

Clause could see her conflict... knowing that she wanted to say something... this could possibly be the last time they would meet. However... he had an idea... he... didn't know what she would think. But... he figured it was worth asking. "Riley... I... I can still live... I just need to form another link..." he said. He looked down. "It's... a big process... and... I would understand if you say no... but... if... I could link to you... a bond of friendship... I... I would still live..." he said. "I... could even help your orginization... but... it is a big deal... I wouldn't blame you if you say no..." he said.

"I'm sorry... I don't know why I asked... you have already done so much... It's... it's selfish of me to ask you for more..." he said. "If not... don't worry... I'll leave you... you will never have to see me again. Never have to remember... the only reminder will be your future children... a happy reminder... of the good that can come from bad..." he said.

"Well, if you let me go put some clothing on, I'll see what I can do." she smiled, having thought of the idea before, but didn't say anything about it. "I'm pretty sure I can deal with a link of friendship." she laughed, then noticed her brother running over to them. He had brought a dress over for her to wear. Riley quickly slipped the dress on, got herself all comfy in it, then threw a big hug around her brother. "I've got so much to tell you, Rhoan! I'm okay. I'm good, actually. Very good. I'm sorry I couldn't contact you at all, but I'm here now so that's all that matters." she said, all while hugging him.

Rhoan only glared at Clause, wondering what the hell Riley had been doing with him, and especially where they had gone, why was his sister naked when she got back... there were so many questions he had. "Damn good thing you're safe now." he said softly to Riley as he hugged her back, despite that his eyes could tell anyone that he was ready to kill someone right now. Who that someone was, had to be obvious.

"I'll tell you all about it later. There's too much to say right now. Thank you for the dress, Rhoan, but I need more time with Clause here."

"No, I think it's about time you came home." Rhoan fought, obviously not trusting Clause, being able to tell exactly what he was. "You have no idea how sick I've been trying to find you. I couldn't catch your scent, sense your telepathic signature, or even track you with the devices we've got in our ears. Riley, I've been much too worried to let you disappear right now."

Now she felt bad. She knew Rhoan would have reacted like this. She just wanted to help Clause. He'd done so much for her, with taking any level of torture just to make sure that she passed the tests... he was willing to die just so he'd know that the madness would end. The least she could do was help him live. He deserved a life of freedom. "I just need to do one thing, brother. I promise I will be fine."

After a frustrating moment of silence, Rhoan nodded, then walked away. He knew he couldn't win with her all the time, but at least she knew when to give in, and when to tell him off.

Clause watched as the brother and sister was reunited... however, he was shocked... that... she would accept his link... allowing him to live. He still looked like hell though... he needed to rest soon after this... after the link was made and he would be alright... Clause walked towards Riley. "He doesn't seem happy with me right now... I can't say I'm surprised..." he said with a little laugh. "But... you need to understand... this link is very special..." he said. "There... are three kinds of links a demon can have with another being... enslavement... which is the nightmare I just got out of, Friendship... which is when the two trust each other greatly... and... well... Love... one that is forged when a demon falls in love mutually with another being." he said.

The friendship one is fairly simple... to pull off... but it does take quite a bit of energy out of the demon... I'll be going to sleep shortly after this..." he said with a little laugh. "I just... have to hold your shoulders... make a vow to trust you, to always be there for you when you need assistance..." he said. "And that's it... I use the energy needed to create the link..." he said. "I... hope your brother won't be too angry about all this... once you explain it to him that is..." he said.

"Oh," she shrugged her shoulders, "he'll be fine just as soon as I tell him everything. Obviously, he hates you right now because he knows you're the one who kidnapped me. Were I not here with you, he would have killed you on the spot." she said, looking down at the dress that Rhoan grabbed for her. She always looked good in black. It was a long, flowing black dress. It even stopped at her ankles where she liked it. She looked up at Clause again, "Clause... you've done more than enough for me to be able to trust you." she said, agreeing with the vow "This is the least I can do to thank you."

Clause looked to her, into her eyes. Her dress was beautiful. "You know... you look really good in a dress..." he said... Clause placed a hand on her shoulder and closed his eyes. Speaking in an odd language, he said the words of the vows... the link was forming... their souls were being united in friendship... he knew she would never force him to do anything like what he was doing... no evil... no horror would be caused by him anymore... the link was created...

He almost fell over. "Heh... got a bed I can use?" he asked opening his eyes.

"Yes. Unfortunately, it's up two flights of stairs." Riley said, feeling very odd with this new link. She trusted him to not go back to that evil and make her do anything.. she trusted that he actually did do the friendship link, and didn't trick her into something else. She had more than enough energy to help him up the stairs. She was willing to let him take some energy if he needed it just to get up the stairs. She always refused to take the elevator, and taking the stairs was good exercise anyway. "Let's go. While you sleep, I can explain everything to my brother."

((lol, kk, I think I might, I was thinking about making that link something a bit more anyways. But it was going to be more of a surprise... I don't think he will do anything too terrible... he hated what he did before. But what would you suggest? I'm not too used to playing... well... meaner characters.))

Clause walked with her up the stairs. He stumbled a bit... what had he done... Clause didn't want to say... but... the link wasn't what he thought... it was one word off... one word... it might have been his low energy... maybe his subconscious... he formed a link of love with her... A link that would not allow her to be with anyone else... nor he... Clause stopped on the stairs... unable to go any further... he had seen what the link of love could do...

The two would make excuses to see each other... they would always be together... caring for each other... lusting only for each other... Clause felt bad... but he couldn't tell her... nor could he reverse it... "I... can't keep going right now..." he said. "Mind... if... if I borrow a bit of your energy... just enough to get me into bed..." he said to her. Feeling the link... he was weak... but he also wanted to feel her lips on his...

Riley stopped and looked back. "Are you not able to recover used energy?" she asked, but walked back to him, standing as close as she could without touching him. They were on the stairs right now, with Riley standing on one of the higher stairs so she could actually stand eye to eye with him. Having a link with a demon was definately strange. She felt like she wanted him all to herself, but at the same time... she didn't actually love him. Her grey eyes stared deep into Clause's, as if searching for the truth. "If you want it.." she whispered, "take it.." she leaned forward a bit more to kiss him, hanging onto the railing to keep her balance.

(( now that they have this link, neither of them can die, correct? so what if somewhere along the line, they get sick of the link and try to find ways to break it or to kill each other? but neither of them can die now, so we dont have to worry about them dying lol. torture is always fun... umm... I dont know... maybe he could drag her back to one of the demon realms and get someone else to break the link if possible... I'm just throwing ideas out there.))

((That might work actually, since the love cannot be broken, even if they hate each other. However, I'm still not that great at playing evil characters. But I can try. Or maybe something along the lines that his demon blood caught up to him... making him feel the need to hurt someone, she would make a good target since she cannot die.))
