Magnus laughed slightly, shaking his head. "It's fine. As long as you don't hate me. I don't think I'd be able to handle that" he said, his hand going to cover his eart slightly dramatically, even if nobody could see him. "Hmm, well you said you were tired. You want me to come over there? Easily done" he wiggled his fingers, a few blue sparks dancing at the tips of the long digits.

"Sure, that's fine," Alec agreed, putting the cold spaghetti away in the fridge and tossing the fork in the sink. At least Isabelle was good at washing dishes when she really wanted to. If they praised her cooking enough she'd be in the good mood and offer to finish the job of food that she started by washing all the dishes. He made for his bedroom, going to grab a sweater just in case, even though he had a completely flat stomach.

Magnus got to his feet and stretched. "All right, I'll be there soon then. Where are you? I don't want to get lost again" he sighed and ran a hand through the glittering spikes on the top of his head, uncoloured today but still spiky and glitter crusted. He was looking foreward to seeing Alec again, after feeling so abandoned. He had no idea why Alec had randomly decided to ignore him like that. He thought they were getting closer, after having made love a few times, and then he hadn't seen him very much in the last month.

"Heading to my room right now," Alec said, opening the door and moving to his closet. He grabbed the first oversized, torn, holed hoodie that was in his line of sight as he put it on, having to switch hands for holding the cell phone quickly. "You know what it looks like, so I'll let you go so you can make a portal over. See you in a few."

Magnus pictured his room easily, the small space clean and boring. "Alright. See you soon. Bye" he hung up, checking his appearance quickly and fixing his makeup, making sure he was perfect before making a portal to Alec's room, taking care to get it right. He stepped through and the portal closed behind him. The first thing he saw was his Alec, wearing one of his beat up old sweaters. "I really do wish you would wear something with a little more style than that. Even just something without holes!" he sighed, shaking his head before moving closer, hugging his boyfriend posessively. "I missed you" he breathed in his ear. He felt much better after seeing him again.

Alec had opened his mouth to counteract Magnus' first words commenting about his poor, old, beat up sweater. A Shadowhunter didn't get all that much as a paycheck or anything, so when they got clothes they had to make them last as long as they could. Or, he did, anyway. But Magnus embraced him after, he felt the warm breath on his ear. "I missed you too," he said, returning the hug. He was more conscious of his stomach, which would soon enough bulge out, and then there'd be no hiding it. Shadowhunter's didn't get fat, unless they were pregnant or developing some kind of tumor. He felt safe in Magnus' arms though, and the fear of Magnus rejecting him for the odd reason, unexplained, of him carrying the warlock's child.

Magnus smiled and ran his fingers lightly through Alec's hair. "You know I would be happy to buy you clothes if you want. Or give you something of mine. I have more than enough clothes" he offered, looking down at him. Even if his own clothes wouldn't fit Alec, he could easily make them the right size. He pulled away from Alec to sit down on the bed, which was more comfortable after he had dealt with it. He was glad of that fact. He knew it couldn't be good for him to be sleeping on that every night before. "So how about it? You could do with some new clothes" he laughed slightly, unable to help himself. He could imaging some of the cute things he could try to buy Alec. Like the Shadowhunter would let him though.

"Uhh, that's....that's all right. The others would ask where I was getting it all, since it'd be a change for me," Alec defended. Really though, he was quite fond of his old clothes that had been through more than their fair share. They had been around for years, while the others shopped weekly or monthly, and Isabelle shopped daily. Hourly, even. Magnus might make him throw the other stuff away, or he'd hide them or something and just say he didn't know where they went when he poofed them away. Besides, Magnus might make him wear bright colors, which was something everyone would notice and ask about since it was a Magnus trademark thing.

Magnus sighed shaking his head. "You could always just tell them" he suggested, shrugging. He had no idea what Alec had about telling his friends about them. Isabelle took it well. "But you know, a little colour wouldn't hurt you. It doesn't bite or something" he said, guessing his thoughts. "Something other than black, faded black, blue-so-dark-it's-practically-black. Maybe a nice lighter blue. Or even white. Anything!" he could easily poof him into something colourful, but what fun was that? And plus, he would obviously take it off right away. Not that he minded that either.

"We do wear white. I mean, I do. At Shadowhunter funerals and stuff," Alec argued petulantly. It wasn't entirely the fact that he didn't want the others to start questioning him and putting the pieces together at where he could get all this and why he hadn't done so sooner, but bright colors just weren't his thing. They were Isabelle's, because everything went with Isabelle. The darker colors, natural colors of the Shadowhunters, made Alec feel safer, rather than sticking out nice and bright. "Do you dislike darker colors?" he asked Magnus, who almost never wore dark colors alone. He might have an article of dark clothing on, but then he'd wear something neon bright with it.

Magnus sighed and shook his head. "You're so stubborn. Funerals don't count" he said, laughing slightly. He still wondered how Alec could just stick with suck boring colours and be so hooked on them. It was as if something colourful would jump out and bite him. "I don't exactly dislike them. It depends on how they're worn. If you use them to accent, or compliment, then I love them, but if all it is is dark drab colours, then it's too boring and plain for me" he mentally cringed at the thought of people he had seen who wore worse than Alec with that kind of thing. "Anyways, come here" he instructed, opening his arms. He just wanted to have Alec close to him like this. He really did miss his boyfriend.

Did Magnus think he was plain and boring because he just wore drab, dark colors all the time? Alec didn't think so, but maybe? He didn't usually think of about Magnus' opinion of his dark clothes. Alec didn't think that would really change their relationship. He didn't even know why he was contemplating it. He just did as he was told and held on to his boyfriend, or rather, the future father of the child he was carrying, if Magnus would accept it, that is. "Hey, Magnus," Alec asked softly, a voice in his head telling him not to ask. "What do you think of children?"

Magnus wrapped his long arms around Alec, holding him comfortably. He was always comfortable when he had his boyfriend in his arms like that. It just put him at ease. "Hm?" was his acknowledgement of his name, but the question caught him off guard. Definitely not something he was expecting, at all. "What? Children? Well. . . I don't know. They're loud and annoying. . . why?" he didn't really think of his words before he said them. He had no idea what was going on in Alec's head. "Not that I know many children, but that's the general impression I get" he said with a shrug, looking curiously down at his lover.

So did Magnus not like children at all? Had he ever thought about having his own, or would he just not want them in the first place? He resisted the urge to put his hand to his stomach where a child was developing. "No reason, just curious. You didn't seem to like visiting Clary when she was a child, even though her mom paid you." What if they were Magnus' child? Would he accept them then?

Magnus looked dow at Alec suspiciously, not sure weather to believe that reason or not. "Well it is Clary you're talking about. But what brought that on?" he inquired, raising an eyebrow. He could find no reason for the Shadowhunter to be bringing up him liking or disliking children. It wasn't s if there were children around the institute or something. But if it really was Alec just being curious, and Clary being an example, was the redhead complaining about him not liking her or something? He just couldn't figure this out.

"I dunno," Alec responded, a little quickly, he noticed. He didn't really have an excuse that he could make up, instead of telling the truth. He needed something else to say, leaving it off at 'I dunno' made it more suspicious than quickly throwing out his denial to having a reason to asking the question. "You mean you've never once thought of having kids before?"

Magnus paused at the question, thinking about it. "Well. . . not that I can remember. . . but I'm old" he shrugged. He honestly couldn't remember if he had or not. "What about you. . . have you ever thought of having kids?" he shot the question right back, raising an eyebrow. He had no idea how Alec would answer, but he was curious. What did his lover think of kids?

"Um, I guess sometimes. When I was younger and my parents would always say I'm going to meet a nice woman and we'd have Shadowhunter kids," Alec snorted, trying to seem nonchalant. They still told him this too, they didn't seem too concerned though right now that he had never had a girlfriend or even a simple crush. They probably didn't think about it because he was usually pretty quiet around everyone.

Magnus's mouth twitched upwards slightly. That sounded like such a happily-ever-after story that would never come true. "What about now? Have you recently thought of meeting a nice man and adopting or something?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. The way Alec was talking about this, nochalant or not, it sounded as if he had put some thought into this. He had never heard of a male getting pregnant, having sex with a warlock or not, so he had no idea what could have brought this up.

Adopting? Welllll, Alec wasn't exactly undergoing that part. He was actually going through something he'd never thought to be possible, even with the fey. "Something like that," he muttered to himself, "It was something to think about," he said, covering up the first muttered sentence. "Isabelle always says things, y'know?" And that was true too, now that he thought about it. Isabelle was the first one to catch on to it.

Magnus raised an eyebrow. Something like that? He was officially confused. "Hm. Why do I get the feeling you're hiding something from me, Alexander?" he asked, running his fingers through Alec's hair and kissing his temple. "Seriously, what's going through your head? Or am I going to have to figure it out myself?" he raised an eyebrow. He could easily delve into Alec's mind and figure out what was going on, but he didn't want to force him. It would be nice if he was let in on the secret so he could feel like he was trusted.

Thinking fast, because he certainly didn't want Magnus to find out that way, Alec blurted out the first thing that he could come up with. "Well you see, Izzy said she might be pregnant, and it got me wondering about kids again. I'm thinking it's Meliorn, and that Mom and Dad won't be happy if she is. I didn't want to tell Jace or Clary, so I told you, and because you always come around here what you might think of children." Poor Izzy. He owed her now if Magnus brought this up to her. He'd swear by the Angel that he'd eat something of hers and smile through it all and compliment her. He might even go so far as to encourage her to make it again sometime, only when she did, he'd drag the others down with him.

Magnus waited until Alec had finished, blinking slightly at this new information before he started to laugh. "What?" he managed to get out, leaning against the wall while he laughed. "Are you serious? Meliorn, the fairie knight? I think your parents might have a heart attack" he snickered. He never thought it would be something like this. Alec had sounded so serious with his first question. Honestly, he had to admit he wasn't surprised at all. No offense to Isabelle. "Well if it's a loud obnoxious child, I think you'll end up at my place more often, and I won't be here if I can avoid it. But if it's a nice quiet child then I'll be fine" he bit back his laughter now, managing to hold it back to snickers.

Alec mentally sighed in relief. His head rested on Magnus' collarbone as he thought about what kind of child he might have, and if Magnus would like it or not. He'd have to tell Izzy later to avoid confusion with her and Magnus, and then for her to deny it and Magnus to question him again and possibly search his head. His heart was racing and he was trying to calm it. Hopefully Magnus wouldn't notice it or pass it off as the effect Alec got when Magnus was with him. "So if Izzy's kid is quiet then you'd be fine with it, huh?"

Magnus nodded, not really having to think about it anymore. "Yeah. Loud kids are annoying, until they get to a certain age. Then they're tolerable. But if that child gets under Jace's influence at all I can't guarantee I won't do something rash" he almost shuddered at the thought. One Jace was more than enough. Way more. "It should take after it's uncle. I think that would be my favorite child in the world" he kissed Alec's forehead, brushing his dark hair to the side.
