"Something rash, huh?" If it got under Jace's influence, learned the ways of the stubborn, out going Jace. That could be bad. As a Downworlder and a Shadowhunter, who knew what the kid could turn out to be? Alec figured since they were both human, or had human in them to an extent, their child would appear human. Possibly be magical but also possibly able to accept the runes of the Angel without going insane or burning or anything. Alec would have to hide their child though, in case it proved to be valuable and usable to either side.

Magnus nodded seriously. "Rash might even be an understatement" he said, smiling slightly. "But since it's your nephew I might hold back. A little bit" he laughed slightly. He wasn't sure if he would be able to hurt someone who was related to Alec. Well, he could, depending on how much they looked or acted like him. Or how closely related. He wasn't even sure. "What did you mean about 'something like that' anyways? Do you want children?" he asked, looking down at him.

"Uhh," and now Alec had to think of something quick again. What could he come up with now? "Umm, the 'something like that' was 'cause it sort of related to adoption, and children and all 'cause of the potential Izzy's children with Meliorn, a downworlder." Did he want children? Would he have wanted children if this hadn't come up? Maybe, as long as Magnus wanted them too, then he supposed they would have been fine given an option. "I don't know. Children wouldn't be bad, I think, maybe, but I wouldn't know how to take care of them."

Magnus raised an eyebrow as Alec explained. "Wow. Sounds as if you've given this some thought" he commented, running his hand up and down Alec's back slowly. "Then you do want children? Possibly" he amended the statement at the end, thinking about it. If Alec wanted children he would support that. Unless it, or even they, turned out to have to traits he had listed before. "Taking care of them shouldn't be hard. . . food, water, excercize, sleep. . . can't be much different from taking care of yourself can it?" he asked, tilting his head to the side slightly.

"But when they're younger, they need a lot more effort and time to keep watch over." That's what he remembered when Max was little. Their parents spent some time taking care of him, but then he and Isabelle had to do the rest so they could go back to being Shadowhunters. "Would you be good at taking care of them?" Isabelle would probably help, but she would also try to take over how they took care of the kid.

Magnus shrugged, thinking about it. He figured Alec would know from his younger brother, but he wasn't too sure about that assumption. It was true anyways, they would require more attention while younger. "Well, I guess it depends on how much I like the kid. If I like him or her, then I guess I'd be good at it. . . but not if I dislike it, then I won't really want to do anything for it. . . but I would anyways, I suppose. . ." he was really just talking as he thought, saying what came to mind. Being a warlock, he assumed he'd be good at it anyways, able to get the child whatever it needed.

Alec wondered how much Magnus would really enjoy this kind of thing, and how much he actually thought he'd be able to do it. Magnus, as everyone knew, was cocky and believed he could do just about anything as a warlock. Knowing this made Alec pretty sure that Magnus thought this would be a piece of cake when really, it wouldn't be. "You'd dislike your own child?" he asked a little doubtfully. If it was their kid and if Magnus didn't like it, was that possible?

Magnus raised an eyebrow. "Well. . . I don't think it's possible to dislike your own child too much. . . but I'm not planning on having kids any time soon. . . am I?" he asked, wondering what this was all about. Sometimes it sounded like Alec was pregnant himself or something, the way he was speaking. But that wasn't possible. . . was it? He wasn't sure. He didn't think it was, but then again, in this world, what was impossible?

Alec would have said yes if he'd had the nerves to do so, and if Isabelle hadn't barged into his room without knocking. Not like she didn't do this often. She did this at least once a week, minimum.

"Alec! How are you-!" she noticed Magnus then. She stopped in her sentence. "Umm......am I interrupting something?" Alec wondered why she was really here, and more importantly, wished she would leave in case anything Magnus didn't need to know slipped from her mouth.

Magnus looked up as the door burst open and Isabelle started speaking. "Why yes, yes you are" he answered immediately. He didn't move at all, having no problem with being in this position while she was in the room. He knew it bothered Alec more than it bothered him. "Did you need something?" he asked, trying to sound as polite as possible. It wasn't as if they had been doing something. Just having a pleasant chat about children. Strangely enough.

Isabelle blinked once before responding. "Ahh, yeah.....actually, I did." She stared at the fiend who impregnated her brother, and didn't even know it. She wondered what Alec would do if she gave the secret away right now. "I need to talk to Alec in the hall or something. Something far away from you so I know you can't eavesdrop." She waited for Alec to pull away from Magnus. "I NEED to talk to Alec."

Alec had no idea why his sister needed to talk to him. "How long will this take?" he asked her warily.

"Not long, just....c'mere!" She grabbed him from Magnus and dragged him quickly, kicking the door shut with her heels.

"What are you doing?" he hissed at her, glad that they weren't where Magnus could hear.

"Getting you away from him."

"Why?"

"I don't want another something to happen to you," she hinted, making a face.

"Why would it?"

"I'm not blind. I saw how he was holding you. I got there in the nick of time."

"Yeah, okay, sure. By the way, so you don't get any surprises later, Magnus now thinks you're pregnant with Meliorn's kid and you have it a secret to everyone except me." Now Isabelle looked confused and slightly embarrassed.

Magnus narrowed his eyes as Isabelle spoke. He opened his mouth to say something when she forcibly dragged Alec away from him, which he hadn't been expecting. He blinked in surprise for a moment before frowning. "Well that was rather rude" he muttered to himself, since the door was already closed. "Stupid female hormones" he shook his head, laying back on Alec's bed and stretching out. He had no idea how long they would be, or what they were talking about. He had a feeling it had to do with him, but he might just be paranoid. It was really just the way Isabelle looked at him when she walked in that made him think that way.

((uwaa, i wont be replying for awhile, till like, tomorrow, cuz im going to the fireworks tonight with Ariel and then sleeping over there. so ill see you tomorrow buddy ^.^))

"Yeah, so....just so there's no confusion when he asks you how you're coming along, okay?" Alec said, looking slightly apologetic. He'd be more apologetic if Isabelle hadn't just pulled him away from Magnus. His sympathy had semi-died with her dragging him out of the room. "I can go back now, yes?" he asked her.

She considered it, now that he'd heard her words of wisdom. "Sure, fine, whatever. I'm going to cook something. I learned this recipe in the market today, and I got all the ingredients."

Mentally groaning and kicking himself, Alec said before he regretted it, "I'll have some too when you're finished. Usually you find something interesting in the market."

Isabelle looked ecstatic and surprised. She fled from the hallway to hurry and cook the meal someone was finally willing to eat without complaining. Alec trudged back to his bedroom where Magnus awaited. "Miss me?" he teased slightly. He didn't know how much he was up for teasing now because he was dreading what he'd be eating in an hour or so.

Magnus fiddled with the faded blankets while he waited, concidering getting Alec new ones, but he knew Alec wouldn't agree with it. He looked up when his boyfriend walked back into the room and he smiled. "Of course. Did you miss me?" he asked the question right back, sitting up so he didn't take up the whole bed anymore and opening his arms. He wanted to know what Isabelle had wanted him for so desperately, but he had no idea if he would be allowed to know or not. He would ask anyways, he decided.

"I did," Alec replied, sitting next to his boyfriend, trying to act casual, if not slightly annoyed with his sister. "Would you care to join me for lunch later too? Isabelle's cooking something, and I didn't want to make her cry so....I said yes." He wondered if Magnus would make an excuse, or offer to make it taste good or something. He was almost determined, to, no matter what, eat Isabelle's original cooking.

Magnus smiled at the answer and hugged Alec, glad he was back, even if he had only been gone for a few minutes. "Hmm. . . I'm not sure how safe that might be. But I'll try I guess. Making pregnant people upset is bad for them" he said, laughing slightly. He couldn't help but wonder how the rest of the Lightwoods would react to Isabelles news. If/when she told them. "So what was that all about anyways?" he asked, shaking some of his glittery hair from his face.

"We can both be sick together then," Alec acknowledged, because he now had a partner to get sick with. "We can't make it too obvious it doesn't taste good or look weird. She'll probably burst into tears, or hurt us with whatever's in her hand." Pregnant people weren't supposed to get upset because of the stress it put on them? "Isabelle just wanted to tell me about her dinner and how she wanted us to all eat it like the family we aren't." That was something she could get emotional over, right? Given the right circumstances, maybe?

Magnus laughed slightly, nodding. It would probably happen. Unless they were incredibly lucky. "Wow. Well it's quite true. If there's one thing you all aren't it's a family. No offense. My family is even more pathetic. It includes my cat and me. And I like to add you in there too, if you want" he said, laughing again. Jace and Clary were related, and Alec and Isabelle were related, and if Jace was adopted by the Lightwoods, did that make Clary their family too? It still didn't really work that way. It was one disfunctional family.

"Well, us being Shadowhunters, even if we are a family we aren't all that normal. Clary's the only one who would know what that's like; not having to worry about a sibling or parent stepping out for a mission and if they'd come back or not, or always having to abide by the Clave's Laws." Alec was semi-jealous of Clary for that, but only that. Clary didn't have much to be jealous of. Alec blushed at the answer lightly. "I would want to be in your family too, and then that would make you part of our family, if you want."

Magnus nodded at that, wondering how it must be like that. The only person he had really had to worry about like that was Alec, and he was constantly worrying that he wouldn't come back, which was why he insisted in Alec calling him the second he got home. He grinned slightly at the blush he managed to get from his lover. "Hmm, that'd be nice. As strange as your family is, I would love to be a part of it" he said, laughing slightly before kissing Alec. The strangest family ever, but he couldn't care less. It would be interesting, definitely.

((Sorry buddy, I didn't know I was gonna stay over Amber's house, so, my reason for not replying or saying hi last night O3o))

Alec remembered Magnus telling them his past with his parents back when they first met. Magnus didn't have much of a family, he supposed, so if Magnus had them, then it'd be good, probably. The day Alec had to come out, it would make Magnus part of their family, and he'd have Maryse and Robert as new technical parents. He didn't know how they'd take it, but eventually they'd have to get used to it if he was allowed to still stick around.

Magnus had to admit, he as looking forewards to officially becoming part of Alec's family. If they made it that far. He really hoped they would. He didn't know what he would do if they didn't. "Mmm, have I mentioned recently how much I love you?" he asked, looking down at Alec. He hadn't seen him much recently, so he figured he hadn't. But he really did. And it felt nice to say.

"Yeah," Alec said, "but I never get tired of hearing it." Almost anything Magnus said Alec didn't get tired of hearing it. He loved whatever Magnus did, and it made him smile when he did something funny. His warlock was always a funny character. Jace was too, but his was a challenging sarcastic humor. Magnus tried to make people laugh, and he succeeded on a daily basis. "I love you too," he told his boyfriend, a small smile lifting the corners of his mouth. Alec Lightwood didn't often smile to please, but he smiled because Magnus could make him smile with even a couple words.

"Good. I should hope not" Magnus teased lightly, laughing. Alec could be so sweet sometimes. He should just confess his undying love for the Shadowhunter, and see how much he would blush. Alec was so cute when he blushed, and he did it quite frequently. He had to admit, it was nice to draw the reactions out of him like that. "Mmm, I'm glad" he said, smiling in response to the small smile on Alec's face. He kissed Alec slowly, once again having missed him recently.

Isabelle burst through the door, once again not bothering to knock. "Dinner's done guys!" She looked absolutely proud of herself, and very slightly hinted unsureness. Maybe the meal turned out to be not like she expected. She didn't know what to expect though, so she didn't know if she did it right or not.

"By the way, Magnus is eating over too, so I hope you made enough," Alec commented as he followed her to the kitchen. She practically skipped as she lead the way.

Izzy thought about it. "I think I did! I'll go get Jace and Clary now. You two can serve yourself."
