Magnus got to his feet after Alec did, running his fingers through his tangled, gelled hair, smiling at the way his fiance had turned away, looking embarrassed. "After everything we've done, you're shy about your body?" he asked, amusement clear in his eyes. He loved how self-concious Alec could be sometimes. "Hmph," Alec grunted, acknowledging he was still shy about his body. When he got fit again he more than likely wouldn't be as shy, but he wouldn't be walking around naked in the house like Magnus did every other morning or so. Alec tested the water with his fingers, stepping in when it was all right. The warmth soothed his muscles and made him breath a sigh of relief. He had been warm three times now, today. This was probably the warmest out of the other times, because he had the nice shower, and Magnus with him. It was the perfect warmth for the day time, even though Magnus' flat was never cold.

Magnus laughed lightly at the sound he got in response, before he followed into the shower, stepping beneath the spray, tipping his head back. "Mm, gotta love showers" he muttered, relaxing. Showers were always nice. Especially when it meant getting all the crap out of his hair and off of his face. As nice as it was to be all done up, it felt great to just feel clean sometimes. He grabbed his shampoo and poured some into his hand, putting the bottle back at lathering it into his hair. His shower was now stocked with the boring, generic shampoo and soap Alec used, since he was moved in.

"Agreed," the younger male said. Alec's hair, already wet, was getting wetter. Rather, it was just rebuilding up water. He needed a trim later, maybe he'd get around to that when he found some scissors in Magnus' place. They shouldn't be hard to find. Maybe in his room, or a drawer in the bathroom. The ends were getting kind of long, almost past his shoulders. He needed to trim the bangs too, they'd reach his nose soon. Alec didn't want to use shampoo twice, so he left it alone.

Magnus rinsed the shampoo out of his hair and added some conditioner, letting it sit for a minute or so before rinsing that out as well. He had so many bottles cluttering the bathroom and the shower that had something to do with his hair. He poured a fair amount of body wash into a puff, scrubbing at his face with it, to get all of the makeup and glitter off. It was fairly easy, since he knew what he was actually doing. Some people would take hours to actually get it off. But he had had plenty of time to practice, and plenty of makeup to practice with getting off.

Alec watched Magnus do what was probably a normal routine. It looked like too much work for just a shower. All showers were supposed to do was rinse of whatever you had on you. Relaxing was a bonus, in his opinion. Shampoo was fine to keep hair clean, but conditioner, body wash, that was all extra and took too long. Alec swept hair from his eyes, droplets of water swept along with it. He blinked to clear his eyes from the water. "What's the point of all that?" he asked Magnus, gesturing at the stuff he had on the side of the bath, raising an eyebrow.

Magnus was rinsing his face off when Alec asked him what the point of everything he kept in the shower. He glanced over at it before laughing slightly, looking back to the Shadowhunter. "It's for keeping my hair as beautiful as it always is" he said, flicking it to the side, where it swept across his forehead and stuck there, the water making it cling to his skin. "And for keeping me clean. Clean is always a good thing" he nodded. Keeping clean was harder when he was younger, but all these new products made it so easy.

"Water keeps you clean though," Alec said, why did extra products make a difference? Scent wise, sure, but Magnus smelled fine without those products. Magnus looked fine without a lot of those products anyway. "Clean is easy, you just take showers every day, which you do already. Soap, regular bar soap, works fine too." Did Magnus ever use regular soap? Just generic Dove soap or something? No, wait, Dove tested on animals, Alec didn't use them either. "Generic shampoo does the same thing too, instead of the designer stuff you always use." It didn't really have a smell to it, but that was all right. Magnus' own unique smell was nicer than shampoo.

Magnus laughed, shaking his head. "Well, it's more complicated than that, for people who care about their appearance. For instance, generic shampoo may clean fine, but mine does much more. It strengthens it, so it doesn't break while you tug at it. It prevents split ends, so I save money getting my split ends chopped off. It gets the gel and colour and glitter out of my hair better. It makes my hair more shiny, no glitter added. And it also makes my hair softer, so it's nicer to run your hands through it" he explained, listing things off. As for cleaning my body, it takes alot to get all the makeup off" he shrugged, glancing at the bottles once more.

"If you say so," Alec said, shrugging. Magnus looked absolutely fine without that stuff on, but if he wanted to wear it and make himself look all glittery and stand out, which he did, then leave that to him. Alec thought about it, and supposed Magnus really wouldn't be Magnus without all that fancy fashion stuff to flaunt. "I dunno if you're staying in here longer, but I'm all done," he informed Magnus, climbing out for a towel. Magnus could stay in there for a long time trying to get that stuff off. He really wasn't sure what he'd do next.

Magnus laughed quietly, looking down at Alec. His fiance really had no idea what half the things in his house were. It was quite adorable, but sometimes kind of sad. He was hoping that by living with him, Alec would catch on a bit more to things he talked about. Like celebrities and such. At least enough to follow coversations. . . he always looked sort of lost. As adorable as it was, he always felt bad after for confusing him so much. "Mm, I'll be out in a bit" he said, watching as Alec got out and left him. 'A bit', could last from five minutes to an hour, but he would try to keep it on the shorter side.

"Okay," Alec replied, realizing last minute their clothes were still in the living room by the couch. He didn't completely mind walking around naked right now, since Magnus wasn't there to oogle him, and no one else was about to walk through the front door. He crouched by the couch and picked up their clothes, putting Magnus' by the door and putting his own on. He cleaned the couch cushions up quickly before sitting down on them, relaxing. Today was nice and quiet, not that Skylar was often loud. He had the o.k. to train again, but he had to take it easy, according to Magnus. He might start going out for it after Skylar was fed and such, and if Magnus wasn't busy, leave Skylar to him. Or if he was expecting clients, he'd bring Skylar with him to Isabelle or Jocelyn.

Magnus was only ten more minutes before he dragged himself out of the spray, turning it off and grabbing a bright pink towel. He dried off his hair by running his hand through it, the soft black hair faaling dry against his face and neck. He opened the door and blinked down at his clothes, obviously Alec's doing. He pulled the boxers on, not bothering with anything else. He was comfortable in just those, so he left the rest on the floor and walked to the couch where his Shadowhunter was sitting. "Hey" he greeted, sitting down beside him, the nice fabric of his couch feeling nice against his back and legs.

Alec probably should have suspected Magnus would choose to wear nothing but the boxers. He probably left his clothes by the door too. Magnus wasn't in any habits of cleaning up yet, it would seem. "Hey," Alec greeted, "you look happy." Didn't he know why. Of course Magnus looked happy. Alec leaned against Magnus contentedly. He could live this life, for sure. What would he do when the Clave had to believe he was dead in the future? They couldn't know he planned to be immortal to live with a warlock. When they were supposed to believe he was dead, he couldn't be a legit Shadowhunter anymore. Maybe slaying the random demon now and again, and training, but he had to stay under the radar.

His Shadowhunter seemed to be used to him being close to naked now at least, and he didn't freak out like he used to. The first time Alec caught him naked was priceless. "Oh yeah?" Alec responded, grinning too. "Me too. What a coincidence." He wouldn't mind some down time, with Skylar down he had nothing to do. He liked spending time with his baby, and with Magnus. He talked to Skylar, who still had blue eyes. They were a lighter blue than his, by comparison. "What ever will we do for the rest of the time alone?" he asked, genuinely stumped. "Skylar probably won't be home from Isabelle for a bit." Maybe before dinner. Skylar would get tired eventually. He'd sleep through Isabelle's gushing, and then she'd decide when he needed to head home. Hopefully they wouldn't have to ask her for their baby back if she was gone too long.

Magnus laughed, kissing the corner of his jaw. "Really? Must have been pretty sexy" he said, nodding. "We could do any number of things" he shrugged, thinking. He was sure nothing was on at this time of day, but that wasn't the only thing available. "We could play video games, or watch a movie, or talk, or anything else you could think of" he said, not bothering to list them all off. "Isabelle needs to know that a newborn baby isn't up for a night on the town. Hopefully she won't be too long" he sighed, shaking his head. Isabelle could be a bit too. . . excited about things.

"That it was," Alec said, "yours too, I take it." Alec tilted his head to the side, thinking about it. "I did learn how to play video games while you were gone," he recalled. He had gotten okay at them, almost as good as Isabelle. "Uh, she might not be that long. Dunno if she remembers not to be too long. Or not to spend the rest of the time dressing him up with whatever she just bought." Maybe Skylar would grow up liking shopping due to his aunt's and father's influence. He'd obviously never be poorly dressed like Alec did.
