"Mhmm. Very much so" Magnus said, nodding. "So I heard" he grinned. He liked the thought that Alec was here when he was away. He had wondered a few times if he had ever just curled up in his bright yellow bed because he missed him. "Are you any good?" he asked, laughing slightly. He hadn't ever played video games with Alec, so it would be interesting. "I hope she knows how to take the hint when Skylar falls asleep on her. And I hope she doesn't try to keep him. That won't go over well" he sighed. He was firmly convinced she might try to steal their baby.

"I guess. But still not as good as Isabelle. She doesn't have to look at the controller at all. I need a quick second every now and then." Alec thought that his question was directed to sound like another something, but he didn't say anything to it. He hid a smile by biting the inside of his cheeks. "She might know, because she certainly knew when Max was tired." When they figured out he was tired they immediately let him go to bed. "I say if she isn't back by dinner we text her and demand our child back. And then we ignore the ransom and get him back anyway."

"Pactise makes perfect" Magnus said wisely, nodding. He didn't need to look at the controller anymore either. He hadn't in a very long time. He had had one of the orignial playstations, so it was all good. Graphics just got better and better though. "What do you like to play the most? I like them all, so just pick one" he said, nodding towards the neat stack they were in for once. "I agree. We might have to track them down" he said, grinning. That would be their little bit of adventure for the night.

"I never looked at the titles," Alec said, "I only played whatever Izzy chose. You could ask her what I liked playing a lot though." Fighting games with swords were the best. He didn't mind the ones that used guns as a main weapon, but guns in reality weren't nearly as reliable as a good old sword. "A lot of the games have scratches. I don't know what from." Tracking down his sister wasn't what really would be needed. She'd obviously be at the Institute, probably in her room, or maybe in the kitchen. There was the possibility that his mother and father was there, playing with Skylar as well. "They've been gone for a while. She must have given him at least a nap." Skylar not only got lonely, but when he didn't sleep enough he cried.

Magnus laughed, looking from the stack to Alec. "Really? Well I'm sure we can find something then" he said, waving his hand and the playstation set itself up. "Yeah, alot of my things have scratches. Those are either from Chairman Meow, or my floor, though" he said. It varied, depending on the game. "She knows more about children than I do, so I'm sure she has let him sleep. Babies seem to need alot of sleep, don't they?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He decided on a game easily and flicked his hand. The case opened and the game slid into the system. He was a professional with this by now.

Alec watched Magnus lazily have the disk put itself in. He didn't remember this game, but they probably played it. Isabelle made sure to play each one with him at least once to show him the different gaming styles. "Max was a lot of effort. We learned a lot from taking care of him. Babies need loads of sleep, they don't have the energy we have. Skylar being a week old, has pretty much no energy. As he gets older he'll be able to stay up, and sleep less." Shadowhunter children usually didn't get to enjoy the pleasure of sleeping as much as they liked after the age of maybe six or seven. Skylar, since he wasn't a Shadowhunter, wouldn't have to suffer from loss of sleep at such a young age.

Magnus nodded, committing that to memory. That all made sense, and he knew he knew that in the back of his head, but had never had to think of it. There was no point for him to ever have to. The game screen started, and the two controllers dragged their way to the couch, one plopping down in Magnus's lap, and one into Alec's. He pulled his arm from around his fiance and grabbed the controlled, hitting the start button as it said. "Super Smash Bros. Did you play it?" he asked, looking to his Shadowhunter.

[Nyako-Chan]

"Probably sometime or another. I think I recognize the graphics. Isabelle told me this was a game with all these other big characters that were just thrown together." Alec had seen some of these characters from individual games from Jace playing, or when Simon brought over games for Clary to play with him. "I like playing as the swordsmen the best. What was his name? Link?" The blue haired man and the red head were good fighters too. He was thrilled when he saw the angel-based character who used a bow and arrow. "Pitt is fun too."

"Pretty much" Magnus nodded. He wasn't technically supposed to have the game for this system, but he had had it converted. It cost alot, but he didn't exactly care. He got it for free, because he was magic. He laughed, nodding. "I thought you might like Pitt" he said, grinning. "I prefer to use Ike" he said, quickly hitting the buttons to get the game set up to the characher selection page, and hitting Ike easily. The controls were different than they should have been, since the game wasn't for that system, but he had adapted to it easily.

"Pitt has wings," Alec stated happily, "I've never seen a game with winged people."Not that he'd seen that many games. Books usually had angels involved, which was always fun. Well, when they got things right, anyway. Alec chose Pitt for his character, checking the buttons once to refresh what they each did. He thought he remembered, but he wasn't sure. He'd have to use a quick moment to try everything out without looking completely clueless. He was sure he knew how to do this. Once Isabelle sat down and taught him, it wasn't all that hard to play games.

Magnus laughed, kissing Alec's cheek. "Yes, he has wings. I think you have wings sometimes too, my little Nephilim" Alec did have wings sometimes, he was sure. Like when he was fighting. He was a child of the angel, so it wouldn't be surprising, but the grace with which the Shadowhunters moved, it was like they were flying sometimes. He waited until Alec had chosen his charachter before selecting an arena, and the game started. "Don't worry, I'll go easy on you" he promised, grinning. He found it completely normal to be playing video games in nothing but boxers.

Alec smiled at the kiss. Magnus really was in a good mood today, putting Alec in a good mood as well. "That'd be fun, I think. Able to fly and what not." With the blood of the Angel in them, it was hard not to want to envision wings on their back, with the grace Angels had. "Go easy on me? Where have I heard that before?" he teased. He could play double innuendo too, if Magnus wanted to keep it up. "I'll see what I can do, it's been a while, after all." Again, referencing their sex life.

"Indeed it would. But I can make you fly without wings" Magnus grinned. "Mm, I can't imagine where you would have heard that. I certainly don't go easy on you, normally" he laughed, liking the game they had going. "It's been a while for me too. How about that" for what he was referring to, he was sure he had been missing it more than Alec had, but he knew that his lover had still been missing it. Sex was like a drug. If Maryse knew that he felt that way about it, she would probably never let Alec go near him ever again. Or at least try to keep him away.

"I bet you could." Magnus could make him levitate and such. He was conscious for it a couple times and it was quite the odd feeling. It was interesting to see everything under him move. "Mhmm. Quite the mystery. I wonder if it's a dream sometimes, hearing that line." Magnus told him that usually before sex. "Yeah, you don't. You're so rough sometimes," Alec said, coughing lightly on laughter. "You sure do promise a lot when you say you're going to be rough." And he always fulfilled those promises.

"Maybe it is a dream. Mmm, have you ever had a dream like that?" Magnus grinned, looking to Alec and raising an eyebrow. He had, more thanhe could count, and it didn't bother him one bit. "I can't help it. I like it rough" he pointed out, shaking some hair back from his face. "But, do I ever neglect my promises?" he asked, smirking. The game was starting, but he could hold up a conversation and kick ass at the same time. Talking was one of the things he did best.

"Rough is half the fun, I believe," Alec said, nodding. "I could answer that promise thing with a yes or no, because I found that it varies on whoever it is that you're promising something to, if you keep it or not." Alec got all of his promises filled, even ones he didn't remember Magnus making. He focused on the screen, mashing buttons to quickly figure out what he was doing. He got it quickly and fought Magnus' character, Ike. He enjoyed making Pitt fly and shoot, and the special ball they could collect in the air to make Pitt do a special with a volley of arrows was interesting. Alec had admittedly tried it out once, but his fingers couldn't launch all the arrows in one spot. He figured with some practice, starting off with two, then moving to three and so on, he might get somewhere. And Maryse said video games taught nothing.

"Rough is half the fun" Magnus agreed, nodding. "And you're the other half" he grinned, shooting his lover a wink. "This is true" he knew he kept almost if not all of his promises to Alec, and to other people, it really depended. He laughed as Alec hit buttons seemingly randomly. Sure, Ike was a slow charachter, but he was going more for looks than anything. He was sure he could win with any of the charachters. It wasn't as easy to dodge attacks as Ike, but he dealt with it, jumping at Pitt, tapping buttons to attack.

"You think so? Well, maybe for you. While rough is half the fun, the person being rough is definitely the other half." He didn't really know much about the person taking it rough, but the person giving it was certainly the best. "Dibs on the Smash Balls," Alec said, having gotten the habit from Isabelle who claimed those before he could for them. He moved Pitt out of the way, after the floating melee ball. Once obtained he worked his way to get to Magnus' Ike. Most of the times he'd tried, since Isabelle didn't tell him all that much about the smash balls, he missed. He learned eventually that he had to be close to him to use it.

Magnus laughed, stealing a quick kiss from Alec, attacking him in the game at the same time. He wasn't sure that was exactly cheating, but it was a bit unfair. Only a bit though. "Dibs? Is it even fair to call dibs on the smash balls?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He was trying to get away from Pitt as best he could, hoping to avoid the next attack. "Stay away from me with that!" he was jumping away, wishing for a moment he had picked a faster character.

[Nyako-Chan]

"Yeah, Isabelle says it was fair when I asked her that too," Alec said, pursing Ike, using regular attacks to try to slow him down, or at least build his damage up more. If he built it up enough he could probably KO Ike with the smash attack. He was close enough to use it if Magnus hesitated a moment. He hit the button to let the final smash go, hoping it would hit. "You're distracting," he said, knowing nothing he could do would distract Magnus. Magnus could distract him no problem, and play his own game at the same time.

"Well I don't exactly trust Isabelle's decision of what's fair and what's not" Magnus said, laughing slightly. He frowned slightly as Alec got closer, gaining on him while getting his damage higher. He paused his movements for a moment, watching Alec's hand. He waiting until the Shadowhunter hit the button to attack him with the final blow, and hit his own button to jump, just barely making it. He was close to being dead, but he could cope. He made Ike roll to behind Pitt, and he attacked him from behind, using the most powerful moved he could. "Being distracting is fun" he stated, slipping one long bare leg between Alec's, his knee resting on top of the blue eyed teen's.

Alec sighed as he missed once again. He only hit Isabelle once before with that, and that was because she didn't see him grabbing the smash ball. "Yeah, it is," he confirmed, effectually distracted. "You're more into something else than the game, it seems," he said, gesturing at how their legs were. Magnus' leg contrasted with his skin, but it wasn't so different against Alec's jeans. He used the leg by him as an arm rest, deciding to lean back against Magnus. He felt like a normal gay teenager right about now, ignoring the fact that their first baby was out with his aunt. He was still pretty young, and he was engaged and had a baby. Maybe not quite the normal teen, but closer than he'd ever felt before.

Magnus grinned, glad he could distract Alec so easily. It came in handy sometimes. "Yes, well, I at least can multitask" he teased, smirking slightly. It was easy to multitask with all the experiance he had. He shifted when the Shadowhunter leaned back against him. It was nice, just fooling around like this, playing video games and joking, almost tangled together on the couch. "This I can get used to" he declared, sighing contentedly, steering his charachter away from Alec's easily.

"Mmhmm," Alec hummed in agreement, going after the opposing character. "I can multitask too, but only with a couple things." His training was one of those things. He was good at that when it came to fighting. Actually, fighting was multitasking, and it came naturally to him. So much running and dodging and aiming all at one time. Planning one step ahead and then some: multitasking Shadowhunter style. He had Pitt launch arrows continually at Ike. If he got lucky, and with enough smash damage, he could just win by blowing him off the screen. He just had to get it above 200%.

Magnus grinned, knowing mostly what those things were. He was pretty sure he could win this game by simply saying a few things to Alec, but he wasn't going to. Maybe. He stopped making Ike run and turned him around, heading for Pitt. "I'mma get you" he announced, using the basic attacks easily. Ike had some pretty good moves, if they weren't so slow. He could easily beat Alec, since he knew Pitt's weaknesses, and he knew how everything would react. He didn't play this game as often as others, but he had almost beaten it. He turned to his lover, nipping at his neck lightly, watching the game out of the corner of his eye. Sure, he was cheating, but he didn't care. It was fun to cheat this way.
