Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Cayden laughed and shook his head, "Didn't I already tell you not to judge by appearances." he said shaking his head, but he didn't answer about how old he was, "Anyways, you will see how I manage to get my hair that long soon enough." He paused at the psychic comment, "No I'm not psychic," he stated shaking his head and looking to the side thoughtfully, then he smirked at Magnus, "Thats just usually the question that follows when people question my hair length and age." he stated.
"A bit less then an hour left!" Kai called loudly in a rather obnoxious voice. Unlike Shay and Cayden he often sounded like he hadn't hit puberty yet, especially when talking loudly. Risa was still no where to be found, but they all had a feeling she was still in the vicinity. Cayden sighed, that was still a long time, but these walks that went on for hours weren't that much of a bother to him anymore, he was definitely getting used to them.

Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus raised an eyebrow, suspicious now. He was obviously avoiding the question, for the second time now. Sure, he understood the concept of not looking your age, seeing as he looked about nineteen, not eight hundred, but still. If Cayden wasn't a warlock, then what was he? He figured he wouldn't get an answer if he asked. And apparently his hair grew quickly? Or something like that. This kid was bizarre, if anything. He glanced up and snickered slightly at the sound of Kai's voice. "Somebody's balls havn't dropped yet" he muttered under his breath. He was thankful that they were almost there, and he could finish this up and leave. Plus, these trees were going to decapitate him if he didn't get out soon. One of the downsides of being abnormally tall.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
"Tell me about it." Cayden said with a laugh in response to Magnus's comment. Kai didn't seem to hear it, it would have been amusing if he had heard and started to yell at Magnus. "He acts like a little kid all the fucking time." Cayden said shaking his head, "He started this journey which he will probably never be able to finish...at least the rest of us have goals that we can attain...nothing like killing an almost invincible man." he said shaking his head at the brief explanation. It didn't matter how many times he told Kai how powerful Phelan was there was no chance he would change his mind, even though he was talking to someone who had sparred with Phelan before, undergone what Phelan had, and was part of the same experiment all together. He would find out soon enough though, even if it resulted in his own death in the process.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
"I can tell" Magnus snickered slightly and shook his head. Children were annoying in his opinion. Especially if they were whiny. Most of the time he would cast a silencing spell on them and glue their feet to the floor, but it didn't work when said child was leading their group. "Good luck with that" he sighed, shaking his head. So many kids were so naive, and thought they could take on the world. "Who's this 'invincible man' though?" he asked, glancing down at Cayden. He never had gotten an explaination about this whole revenge mission. The entire thing was probably stupid and mundane. But he couldn't be one to judge.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Cayden shrugged at the question, "He's the man who killed Kai's brother, in other words, his only family." He stated, "He was...'created' by the same people I'd love to kill, so that's why I'm sticking with these guys. And by invincible I mean he can rarely get hit, can deflect moves, and he has the ability to completely crush a person in mere moments. He's...not very...stable though, and in a few years if he's not dealt with...I'm sure, he could destroy the world as well." he explained with a sigh, he left out the fact that Phelan wasn't even supposed to be out of the laboratory, and should still be locked up tight, but the stupid scientists were a bit to cocky while transporting and he had managed to escape, and they themselves weren't strong enough to recapture...they had had no problem with capturing Cayden after he had escaped his first time, and it infuriated him that Phelan was just that much more powerful then he was.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus frowned as he listened. "Created as in, a giant science experiment?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He got Kai's little revenge problem now, but he had a feeling that it would go nowhere. But this man destroying the world didn't sound like a good idea. He might have to help prevent this at a later date. He was one of the few actually powerful warlocks left in the world. The rest were helpless idiots who had no idea what they were doing. "This seems like too much for a band of kids to handle" he muttered, not really caring who heard him. But no matter how old Cayden was, he couldn't be older than Magnus, therefore, a child. And these children would be dealing with hell if they were trying to kill this man, from what he had heard.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
"I guess you could call it that...actually, that's exactly what it is." Cayden said with a slight frown as he thought about it. "It was just some crazy old man's crazy old idea. But he died about 80 years ago, killed by his underlings." he said with a shrug. At the comment on this being to much for a pack of kids Cayden smirked. "Well, I wouldn't say that, we might actually be enough to defeat him, without you of course." he said with a laugh, "The one we're after is younger then me, so it's not like we're not dealing with someone who has been around and knows a lot. In fact...he shouldn't know much of anything, just that he's supposed to kill or destroy or whatever he's doing." Cayden explained with a shrug.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus thought this over, a tad confused. So these kids were chasing after some insane science experiment that was apparently indestructable. "Well have fun. I wouldn't want to stick around anyways. After this I'm outta here. Unless you want me to stay?" his lips curled into a grin. "Well you never know, people can gain street smarts rather quickly" he shrugged, hooking one thumb under his belt as he walked. "Killing and destroying can be rather brainless work though, I must admit" he shrugged, shaking some of his spiked hair back.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Cayden shook his head, "You're free to leave after this." he stated, not that he really cared, if Magnus did stick with the group at least he would have someone to talk to who could actually hold up a conversation and know what he was talking about, and wouldn't continuously complain about how much of a jackass he was and complain all the time, at least he didn't think Magnus was like that, he had known him for a couple hours so far.
Adaline stopped as she noticed Risa standing a few feet ahead of them completely frozen. Adaline closed her sightless eyes and focused before letting out a gasp, "No!" Shay had also figured out what was wrong and it took Cayden a few moments to sense what they did. Kai looked confused and Cayden just shook his head.
"He's getting better at this..." Cayden said under his breath as he ran forward, he wasn't nearly as fast as the elves but he was still faster then the average human. Adaline and Kai ran behind him and Shay beside him as they broke out through the trees to where their goal had been. A fire enveloped the area, an old Elven research centre. "Fuck..." he hissed. The smoke did not waft upwards but seemed to collect like in a bubble and flow downwards. The smoke almost completely covered up a person as he walked away from the fire, Cayden squinted as the figure walked through the smoke. "Hold Kai back." he stated sharply, Adaline and Shay did as he said and grabbed a confused Kai's arms. "It's Phelan." Cayden stated. Kai's eyes widened then sharpened.
"SHOW YOURSELF!" he yelled, his voice cracked with the strain. The long haired man turned towards them and hesitated before walking towards them. He stepped out of the smoke and smirked at them. His long purple hair fell to around his ankle and was tied up as Cayden's usually was. His bangs covered one of his sharp, dead grey eyes. He wore all black, but aside from that his outfit was nearly identical to Cayden's. Kai was struggling against his friends grip but failed in escaping.
"You look...different, Cayden. It doesn't suit you." the purple haired man stated looking straight at Cayden who growled slightly at him. Phelan flicked his hand and Cayden sucked in a sharp breath as he rose his hands palm facing Phelan. He was forced back slightly before he made the same motion. Phelan stepped to the side and a large dent was left in the ground next to him. "Now is not the time for this." Phelan stated before turning and running into the forest. Cayden glared after him, not really caring as Phelan left he turned back to the others.
"We're done here. There's nothing we can do..." he stated in a monotone voice, his dead eyes glaring at nothing in particular. He hated how Phelan had acted, it was as though he was planning everything out and was a few steps ahead of them already, but Cayden knew that was not in Phelan's mind, he could not possibly do that, it was all coincidental. Adaline and Shay were pulling Kai back into the forest and away from the smoke. Cayden turned to Magnus, "Can you help me with the fire...?" he asked in a quiet voice. He held out a hand towards the fire and closed his eyes as he tried to concentrate on cutting off the blaze's oxygen source, it was only just in his ability to do, but was difficult, thinning out air.

Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus laughed quietly but nodded. He could go back home after and lounge as he had been before, maybe go out somewhere before he went to sleep. It would have been an interesting day, that was for sure. Home was sounding nice compared to the forest right about now. Not that he had any problem with nature, but walking around in it for hours at a time was not his style. Even if he had an attractive man walking with him.
He paused when a few of the group stopped walking, followed by a gasp from the Well. He was confused, probably moreso than Kai, who seemed a bit lost as well. He knew very little about what he was supposed to be doing anyways, while the rest of the group he assumed had been together for a while longer, and actually knew what they were doing, and what they might encounter and why. He raised an eyebrow at the words Cayden muttered, taking steps forward in order to see a bit better, but staying near the back of the group. He then saw the fire, and frowned.
He had a feeling that this was where they were supposed to be, which wasn't a good thing. He had no idea who this 'Phelan' was, but once he saw the man step through the smoke he glanced between him and Cayden. They looked like twins, except that this Phelan's hair was longer. He assumed that was roughly how long Cayden's was before he cut it then. He wondered if purple was this man's natural hair colour like silver was the other male's, and if this was that invincible man Cayden had been talking about. He found it quite likely, gauging their reactions. "What the hell. . . ?" he raised an eyebrow at the little battle the two had, or at least he was assuming that was what it was.
In only a few moments Phelan was gone, running off into the forest, leaving the group behind, with a very confused Magnus. He was working it all out when Cayden asked him to help with the fire. "Yeah sure" he replied, stepping forward and holding up his hands, muttering to himself in the language of Lilith, the warlock's language. Water started to pour from the sky over the fire only, more than pouring rain. It was mostly a torrent of water, sending steam up where it hit the fire. It was easy to take care of fire for a warlock. Just dump a few hundred gallons of water on it imported from a nearby lake or something and it was all good.

Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Cayden watched as the water poured onto the fire he let up his control on the thinning air and went to work on the water, he figured a bout of increased gravity would help absorb it into the ground. He was mumbling to himself his eyebrows furrowed as he worked. He did not like how this turned out, though they could do without the information in there and learning more about his past, it would have been nice to have a bit more of an insight as to why he and Phelan were created in the first place, before these insane madmen decided to take over the experiment and turn them into weapons of mass destruction. He let up his power when the fire was gone and huffed crossing his arms, "Thanks." he muttered to Magnus. Before turning and walking back into the forest slowly, he couldn't help but think, maybe Phelan was following them? Even though they thought they were chasing him...it was infuriating.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus continued the stream of water until he was sure the fire was out, and then he dropped one arm, running his hand through his hair with the other, careful of the sunglasses he still had perched there. "No problem" he shrugged, turning back to the group. "So. . ehh, I'm assuming that he's the one that this little revenge squad is after?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. That was mostly what he had gathered from the situation. He didn't mention the fact that Cayden looked like he could be the twin of Phelan. It seemed like it might be a bit of a touchy matter, and he wasn't one to pry. Well, not always.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
"Yes, that's the one Kai's after." He didn't want to have to go on about what exactly they had done, about the 'powers' he and Phelan possessed, though he was sure it was going to come up eventually. He came into a small clearing where the group had stopped, Shay was standing at the edge of the clearing with his bow in hand glaring out into the forest. He lowered his weapon when Cayden and Magnus approached. Kai was sitting in the middle of the clearing his head in his hands, Adaline had a hand on his back trying to comfort him.
"He was right there....right there....Why did you make me leave!?" He yelled turning to Cayden who glared down at him. He got to his feet and reached out grabbing the collar of Cayden's jacket, "This could have ended right here!" Kai yelled. Cayden grabbed his wrist and pushed him off.
"Isn't it fucking obvious. He was trying to kill you, he wouldn't have bothered controlling the smoke if he knew we weren't around. He was hoping you'd choke to death." Cayden said in a lowered voice. "You can die from inhaling smoke, I can't, deal with it. We have to be in conditions where he is powerless you KNOW that." He said angrily. Risa was standing next to her brother chewing at her lip, Adaline's head was tilted down but she was listening to the two of them. Kai took a step back and glared at Cayden.
"How about we get some sleep..." Adaline suggested quietly, the elves nodded in agreement. Cayden and Kai sent her sharp looks but both eventually caved and sighed.
"Do you mind Magnus?" Risa asked taking a step towards him and tilting her head to the side. It was still light out and darkness probably wouldn't be coming for a few more hours but Adaline was correct, sleep would calm Cayden and Kai down and they would be able to work out what they were to do next in the morning. "If we head back we'll have to deal with the two of them being all pissy at each other, trust me it's not fun." she said in elven now that she knew Magnus could understand it.

Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus nodded at the short explaination he was given, approaching the rest of the group, in a little clearing. Kai looked rather upset, which he understood. He also understood why he started yelling, not that Cayden seemed to like it. He was tempted to break up the fight, but it was a bit amusing, so he leaned against a tree to watch. He raised his eyebrows, gaining as much from the dialogue as he could. So this Phelan could control smoke? A bit of an odd talent. It must be part of something else. He was curious to know more about it. His gaze flicked to Adaline when she suggested sleep. It sounded like a good idea to him, other than the fact that there was a phsyco out there who had the ability to destroy them all.
His cat eyes then flicked to Risa. This was the first time she had spoken to him since she had appologized for calling him her boyfriend. "I don't mind" he shrugged, grinning slightly at what she said in elven. "From what I've seen, I don't doubt it. I knew them for about two minutes and they were arguing" he spoke back to her in elven, laughing slightly. It was obvious that they didn't get along, especially the way Cayden spoke about Kai. "So. . . sleeping. . . where?" he asked, glancing around as if he expected to see some kind of lodging. "Wait. . . like on the ground? I don't do that. No way" he shook his head. If they were going to sleep there, he was going to get himself a house here or something.

Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Risa almost laughed as Magnus spoke in Elven, his accent was horrible, but she could understand him so it didn't really matter but she thought she'd inform him anyways, "Your accent is horrible." she stated quietly...Shay let out a short chuckle in agreement.
"Yes on the ground, where else would we be able to sleep, we're in the middle of nowhere." Adaline said with a frown, sightless eyes trained to Magnus. "Unless you have a better idea." she stated with a shrug. The elves and Cayden were looking at him, half expecting him to do something, Kai was off acting all depressed as it sunk in that Cayden was right. He hated it when Cayden was right, and usually just refused to believe that he actually was.

Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus chuckled lightly at Risa's statement. "I know. It used to be better, but I don't speak it as often, for obvious reasons" he replied, not exactly caring what the others would think about their short conversation in elven. He glanced up as Adaline spoke to him, and she didn't exactly look very happy. He noticed the rest of them- minus Kai- were looking at him almost expectantly. "Well. . . " he said slowly, glancing around the clearing. It wasn't very big, but he was sure the forest could do with a few less trees. "I was thinking a house might be nice. Oooh, or a castle! I havn't slept in a castle in ages!" he grinned, trying to remember the last time he actually had. A few hundred years ago, at least. He was sure that the castle idea wasn't going to sit well, but it was really the safest bet, with this Phelan guy possibly in the vicinity.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Risa almost jaw dropped at the thought of sleeping in a castle, she had lived an orphan her whole life, she had never even seen a castle, for all she knew there weren't any anywhere anymore. Cayden and Shay showed little on their faces about the thought but it was Adaline who spoke, "Don't be absurd, in case you haven't realized, some of us are practically fugitives, and we're all runaways, we'd rather NOT have unnecessary attention drawn to us, thank you very much." she stated sharply. Cayden shrugged but had to agree with her, nodding his head slowly. "If you want to do something small that would be alright, but PLEASE nothing that's going to get us caught." She said in an angry tone pushing at her long bangs and turning her head to the side slightly.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus raised his eyebrows as he got lectured, and he crossed his arms. "Okay, okay, fine. I can do small" he said, sighing. "How about. . . a cabin? That's not too suspicious to find in the woods. . . " he sized up the clearing again. It would need to be a bit bigger to fit a cabin in, but getting rid of a few trees shouldn't be too hard. He snapped his fingers and the one he was looking at dissappeared, relocating somewhere else in the forest. This was going to be easy. He didn't understand why the Well had seemed to angry at him for even suggesting a castle, but whatever. He didn't exactly have to listen to her, but since these were paying customers, he would. It was complete bull to be bossed around by someone 800 years younger than him.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Adaline sighed loudly, "That's fine." She said, she had no idea what Magnus was doing, it was soundless work and she wasn't going to be able to sense a few trees vanishing here and there, she would notice if there were suddenly a structure where there wasn't one moments before but she wouldn't notice any little thing Magnus did. Risa was watching in fascination and she wondered what exactly a magicked cabin would look like, if it would be nicer then where she used to live or worse or what. She had to admit though, she would love to get to sleep in a bed again instead of on the forest ground though she had to admit she loved the feel of grass and being able to look up at the stars when she was falling asleep. Kai wasn't paying attention to what they were doing he was off thinking still and had no idea what they were discussing, not even hearing Adaline's angry tone of voice. Cayden was curious as to what Magnus was going to do, but he would never let anyone know that he was curious.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus's gaze flicked to Adaline when she said it was fine before focusing on the work at hand once more. Vanishing trees was simple, relocating them different places was a bit more tricky, but still easy, it would be the cabin that would be just a bit more difficult. Once he was sure there would be enough room in the larger clearing, he backed into the trees. "Okay, everybody into the forest, I don't want to drop this on anybody" he said, sweeping his arms back to indicate the trees around him. He wouldn't mind dropping the cabin on Kai, or possibly Adaline, but he would be nice for now. He was picturing the only cabin he had seen recently, that was in good shape and he knew was still around, and had nobody living in it.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
The group did as they were told and headed back into the protection of the forest all of them just a bit worried about what exactly Magnus was going to do. Adaline headed towards Kai, reaching out and grabbing his shoulder finally getting his attention, he was already under the trees on the outskirts of the clearing and he looked at Magnus with a cocked eyebrow wondering what the hell he was doing. Risa had moved off to the side with Shay and Cayden. "Do you think he'd understand us if we talked in Elven slang?" She whispered into her brother's ear. Shay liked talking in English more then Elven, it just seemed more natural to him, and he was glad to leave behind all the elves he had once know who had been none to kind to him, and speaking in his home tongue brought back memories of those people.
"I don't know...maybe...and maybe you should talk faster, and throw archaic words into it as well." Shay said under his breath with a shrug. Cayden cocked an eyebrow and frowned at the two of them wondering what Shay was talking about. The elf just gave him a look and he understood that Risa was trying to figure out a way of speaking where even Magnus wouldn't understand her. For some reason Cayden was pretty sure Magnus would be able to understand no matter how she spoke. He smirked as he looked back at the warlock waiting for him to do something.

Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus waited until everybody was in the safety of the trees before making himself comfortable, leaning against one. He sighed lightly, closing his eyes. He started to mutter under his breath in the warlock language, arms at his sides. He was mostly focusing on where the cabin was, and where they were. After about a minute or so of chanting, there was a rather loud thumping sound as the cabin settled itself onto the ground in the centre of the clearing. He opened his eyes and looked at the wooden structure, that was sturdily built, but simple. If he remembered correctly, there were three rooms, but they were on the small side. He muttered to himself a bit more, and five beds should have appeared inside, not that he could see. With only putting five, he was obviously suggesting that somebody had to share, not that he would admit to doing it intentionally. "Okay~ All done" he said, lifting his chin and walking to the front door of the building, opening it and walking inside, admiring his own work silently.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Risa couldn't let out an "Ooooh~" to show how impressed she was as she looked at the building now in front of them. She walked towards it quickly and ran a hand over outside, hardly believing it was real. After finally telling herself it was she laughed and ran inside she looked around happily before going off to examine every one of the rooms in turn.
"Wow..." Kai stated under his breath. Adaline had let go of his shoulder to cover her ears, she hated sudden loud sounds, because they were so amplified, especially in comparison to the humans in the group. She said as she grabbed Kai's arm again and motioned with her free hand for him to move forward. She didn't like houses, she had a harder time with her surroundings in them so Kai would be her guide. The young blond boy headed up towards the little building and headed inside. He looked around, "Just wow..." he repeated quiet, he didn't know what else there was to say. Shay and Cayden followed them closely.
"Hey, there are only five beds and six of us." Risa stated swinging out of one of the rooms and looking at everyone a small confused frown on her face.

Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Magnus laughed under his breath at the reactions he got. They seemed pretty impressed. Especially Risa. He wasn't sure if she was actually that impressed, or acting it to get on his good side, or something like that. He watched as everybody filed in, glancing around the small room after. He could tell that Adaline didn't like the house as much as the others, which he understood. His catlike eyes flicked to Risa at the bed comment, and he let a small frown cross his face as he looked at the beds, pretty sure he was pulling off his apparent confusion well enough. "Hmm, I guess I messed up a bit. Oh well, Cayden and I can share, right?" he asked, glancing to Cayden with slightly raised eyebrows.
Re: Revenge. (Reserved)
Cayden had been looking around till he heard his name, he hadn't cared about the bed situation, he just figured the twins would end up sharing a bed. He was not at all expecting what he ended up hearing and neither was anyone else. "WHAT!? When did I agree to this?" He said his eyebrows furrowing and a frown finding its way onto his face, "Why don't you just... get another bed?" Cayden asked. He looked around. Shay looked mildly shocked. Risa looked very shocked that that had been the first thing Magnus had suggested, she knew almost as well as anyone that Cayden wouldn't agree to it. Adaline's eyebrows were furrowed and a confused frown graced her features, and lastly Kai looked like he was about to break into laughter. Cayden himself was wondering what sort of alternative motives Magnus must have had, but Cayden wasn't going to fall into this trap if he had anything to do with it.
