Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Observing the pout with amusement, Arxingall raised a thin lavender eyebrow. "Help you? With these Skeletons?" When was the last time he'd been allowed to accept this job from Vanclaudia? Maybe last week, and then the miner had told him he wasn't needed for it anymore. He had told him to move onto bigger and better things in the Mines, which was apparently more than one hundred Shadow Fangs and more. The second floor was hotter than the first floor by a lot. Arxingall usually came back from there with trouble breathing due to the heat.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada nodded, hoping his pout had worked. He did need help with the Skeleton Workers anyways, since they took him so long to kill. It took him hours to simply get 20 iron ore pouches. "They take forever to kill. And I have to take more frequent breaks than I do with Orc Archers. It drives me crazy" he sighed, glaring at the floor for a moment before looking back up to Arxingall. Maybe having this archer with him would make the mines a little bit more bearable.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Very well," Arxingall responded, looking to the area that the Skeleton Warriors guarded and patrolled. They took time to kill, but they missed him a lot when he was fighting them. They were slow creatures to him, their brittle bones moving not quite swift enough to catch him all the time. He could take them down easy enough, most of the time. They could still kill him, sure, but if he was fast, he could move on to the next one in no time. This Mine was very depressing when treading alone, watching all the monster hoards walking around contently, the dripping of water all around. The noises penetrating the sound barrier were mostly from the Succubi, or Wights. That was farther in though. Once the sight of the entrance was far behind, depression kicked in every time.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada grinned when he got his way, letting go of Arxingall and backing up a few steps, looking to the Skeletons as well. They were pains in the ass, but he had been dealing with them for the past few days. Vanclaudia had sent him back four times already, to get more iron ore. "Okay. Time to kick some ass" he grinned, picking his sword up off the ground, feeling a bit awkward since it was at the elf archer's feet, which put his head right at crotch level while he bent down to get it.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Arxingall had been unsure whether or not to back up when Azlada had gotten so close to his lower regions, unintentionally to pick up his weapon. He hadn't expected it, really. He just kind of watched Azlada pick up the weapon and then wait for him to get back up. Backing up would have been his next idea though if it had registered faster to him though. "After you," he said, waving his hand for Azlada to take charge of their party and to grab the first creature of bones. Skeletons, with the both of them working on them, wouldn't be too hard to take down.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada backed up as soon as he had his sword, hoping that the heat in his face wasn't as noticable as it felt. He rolled his shoulders back to hear them pop underneath his armor as Arxingall waved him ahead. He nodded and started forward, selecting the closest Skeleton and attacking it, knowing he had to use his mana repetetively, or else he wouldn't really get anywhere. He let out a bit of battle cry as he launched his attack, unphased by the weapon of the enemy hitting him, his armor taking most of the damage.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Ranged has it's perks and it also didn't, but in the mines, time was everything. How fast you killed it, how long you had before they reached you. He worked everything to his advantage. He could claim the attention of many while fighting already with the arrows, not to be done in the Mines unless it was necessary. Not many people came in here, so pulling of mobs from them wasn't common here. Arxingall shot at one on the farther end, watching as it tried to run to him while he afflicted it with ailments and damage. When they got close enough, since it wasn't worth waiting time and distance for, he'd charge attack them.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada had to take a few hp potions while he fought, just to keep himself from getting too tired. But after killing two or three of them, he took a rest to conserve potions. He used this as a sort of routine, which he had been using for the last few days. With Arxingall there helping him though, the room was cleared faster than it normally was. He sighed and sat down, letting his head fall back, hoping he would regain his strength fast enough. He hated sitting around doing nothing, instead of fighting like the warrior he was.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Thankfully Arxingall had stocked his potions for the second floor, but was using them on the first floor, so he had more than enough. He could fight longer than Azlada could, because he had more mp and for a while, he had more hp, just because he had a longer time to build up his stamina as a fighter. Being a rogue gave him a moderate amount of either, but Azlada, in time, would surpass his stamina because warriors were better at it than potential bow or dagger users. Arxingall was pretty sure he'd always have more mp though. His cousin, Symblade, would be the one to always have more mp. Being a mage, they had virtually no stamina because they weren't close combat fighters, but had a heck of a lot of mp to fight at a distance.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada was glad that he had chosen to be a fighter, his stamina much larger than rogues of his experiance. He didn't need much mp, and rarely ran out, but was still extremely strong with his attacks. Sometimes he wished he was an archer, just so he didn't have to get close to some of the enemies he fought. "I hate these stupid things" he groaned, wishing he didn't have to face them head-on like that, since they rivalled even his stamina. He couldn't wait until he finished killing them again, but he had no idea whether Vanclaudia would send him back yet again.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"It does get a bit monotonous, doesn't it?" Arxingall said, taking out one more before needing his sit down time. He walked away from the area, well away from where they'd respawn, and sat, leaning up against the cool cave wall. In a sense, he didn't understand it, and in another, it made perfect sense. The closer you were to the entrance, the colder the cave was. As you got farther in, it got boiling, suffocatingly hot. The lower floor, as most would expect, should be freezing, but instead, it was like walking into an oven. Fighters could lose a lot of water down there from all the fighting. The water dripping from stalactites were impure, undrinkable.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada nodded, since that was mainly why he couldn't stand just training. It took too long, and didn't help much, and it was boring as hell. Quests made things more interesting, and made him feel like he had a goal. "I think they're the most boring to kill" the Shadow Fangs and such at least presented a challenge, instead of just taking forever to kill. He glanced up as he felt dripping on his head, and he got up and moved a few feet back, not wanting the dirty water to get all through his hair.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"The easiest to kill," Arxingall said, though none of the creatures in the Haunted Mines were 'easy.' All of them took time and speed, and all of them took off chunks of their health. The Shadow Fangs with their claws, ripped armor to the point of irreparable sometimes. Their claws left gashes in flesh, and the wounds were deep and wide. It was bad if they got to you too quickly. A scroll was good to have to be able to get out and get help from usually the Merchant girls, or the Magicians. Arxingall took care to avoid the claws, or at least keep them from being so deep.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Still, bullshit in the form of a monster. They can all just drop dead" Azlada sighed. He didn't care if they were the easiest monsters in there, they were still pains in the ass. He dealt with the damage pretty well, his armor and his stamina both helping with that, but every once and a while he needed new armor, from the beatings the metal took. This particular set was only a few days old, but it already had dents and scratches, and unfortunatly a gouge taken out on the skirt part that covered his crotch. That one had scared him a bit. He ran his fingers over that, looking down at it.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Technically, they are dead. Undead is more proper to call them," Arxingall said, getting back up to go fight again. He wasn't one to rest until he was fully recovered. He got a little impatient sometimes and relied on potions to fix the rest for him. He engaged in combat with the nearest warrior, taking down a potion as he received damage from the weapon. He jerked back to keep it from cutting too deep. It ripped the sleeve of his armor and put a long cut in his upper arm. He made a 'tsk'ing noise and soon killed the skeleton. His fault for rushing, he supposed.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"Well whatever they are, they can go back to hell" Azlada decided, crossing his arms. He looked up as Arxingall got to his feet, and he watched as he took on the Skeleton, watching the way his body moved as he fought. It was rather interesting, seeing how the muscles would move if he could see them, but he did see the monster's weapon bite into the archer's arm. He got to his feet, his armor making that none too quiet. "You okay?" he asked, trying not to sound too concerned, not used to showing affection or care to people.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"I'm fine," Arxingall replied, "it looks worse than it is." That was his usual response for just about everything when asked if he was okay. Concern made him feel like someone was watching out for him, and that wasn't usually how things worked with him. Concern was embarrassing when directed towards him, if he were to be honest about people asking him. "It's shallow enough where it doesn't need to be bound right away." Loss of blood kicked in eventually though, so maybe later. How many of these did Azlada need killed anyway?
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada frowned, not liking the sound of that, whether it was a positive answer or not. "I think you should bind it anyways. Its filthy in here, Goddess knows what kind of disease or infection you could get" he said, tilting his chin up stubbornly. Arxingall should know by now how stubborn he was, so he wasn't going to win this. He still needed about ten more iron ore pouches, and that would take a while yet, so he didn't want something to happen. That would be deeply upsetting, he knew already. Getting some kind of infection or disease always tormented people who devoted their lives to hunting the monsters in the Blue Land, because anything could happen, and it took a while to get back into shape and such.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Rarely was Arxingall lectured and someone meaning it. Azusa had been one of few who he had listened to whole heartedly. His sister usually didn't get that kind of belief. She was usually sarcastic with lectures, joking or something. Sometimes she gave good advice. He could meet up with her some time this week maybe, ask her about what was going on. She knew more about these things than he did, despite her being younger by a few years. "Fair enough," Arxingall agreed, backing away from the Skeleton Warriors and pulling out a glove he had picked up from one of the monsters, destroying it to get fabric that he could wrap his arm with. He hadn't gotten infections before. His immune system was in decent shape.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada waited for the elf to either argue or do what he said, quite pleased when he listened. People rarely even listened to him. His sister was maybe the only one, other than randoms who were too scared to argue. "Good. Because I've seen people have to get their arms amputated because the infection was so bad. I'm sure you wouldn't like that" it was a bad sight, watching somebody having their arm amputated, but it got rid of the problem. It only ruined the people who it happened to. Only Mages could continue to fight like that. He watched as Arxingall went to wrap his arm, wincing when a Skeleton came at him while he had been distracted. He turned and started attacking it, hating the damage they could do to him.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Irked from the distraction, Arxingall moved farther away. This is why he never really healed himself until he was done with the mission or out of the area. It was a distraction to wrap an injury. "You do know that bleeding a wound out would remove poison from systems, right?" Arxingall brought up, an old excuse he used with his sister that she didn't buy anymore unless the enemy really was poisonous. Plus, bleeding out a wound required sucking out the blood and spiting it out quickly, which he wasn't doing anyway. He finished tightening the fabric, tapping it to make sure it'd stay on under movement. He felt it was unnecessary, but whatever.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada dispatched the Skeleton tht had been attacking him and collected the iron ore pouch. Only nine more, but Goddess knew how long that would take. "Bleeding a wound doesn't work with infection" he pointed out, glancing back to Arxingall. He wasn't going to fall for any bullshit like that, not wanting something to happen to the archer. His partner. That felt weird to think, but he was sure he could get used to that rather quickly. Sure that Arxingall was okay now, he moved onto the next monster, chugging down a potion before he attacked it, just to be safe.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
'Hm'ing, Arxingall just shook his head before moving on to another skeleton. The fabric on his arm strained as he pulled back on the bow. It wouldn't matter which hand directed the aim of the bow, either way there'd be ab amount of pressure against it, if he was pulling back the string or holding the wood of the bow away from his body. If he didn't have the torn up glove on his arm, it'd hurt, sure, but it wouldn't feel so enclosed, and probably not as much pressure on his upper arm. He was confident enough that unless he was ganged up on, injuries wouldn't stop him from finishing off a monster. Warrior armor was bulkier, but more protective than the leather archers and knife users worked with.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
Azlada could tell that the lavender haired elf hadn't exactly been pleased with the wrapping of his arm, but he was going to have to deal with it, unless he wanted Az to tackle him down and hold it on. He would, if need be. He didn't bleed too often, so he didn't have to bind things too often, thanks to his armor. It was normally on his legs where he got that, where he had only pants protecting him. He threw potions down so often down here, he was sure it had to be bad for him, but he didn't care, doing it anyways as he disposed of the Skeletons around him.
Re: Luna Online: Warriors at Heart
"A few left, yes?" Arxingall asked as one more skeleton fell in a clatter of bones. He admittedly liked the sound of their bones falling to the floor once they fell from each other. It was satisfying to hear the enemy fall apart, then he knew they weren't getting back up again. A groan or growl from a beast falling could mean anything, falling apart meant they were down for the count. It was a reassuring sound for him. Arxingall had been surprised enough times when they got back up when he thought them to be dead.
